I'm almost certain my opinion will be rather unpopular. I feel it and I accept it. I'm not a huge fan, there I said it. I let the truth flow through my fingers and I feel better for it. I was leery of telling my truth, but Covid Era has taught me that the truth is necessary, even if it's ugly. This store is massive. I mean ginormous. It's a large warehouse built almost like a corn maze. Well it is a maze, you have to follow the arrows, which takes about an hour to get through the entire store. There is no particular rhyme or reason to the layout. I honestly did not enjoy the time I spent in the store. My feet hurt, the lines were as massive as the store- slight exaggeration- but you get my drift. I was in such a rush to get here and explore and in the end, I was equally anxious to leave. All of that being said, they have everything you could need for home, office, she shed, man cave, basement hideout, bat cave, secret hero lair, you name it and their warehouse stores it. The prices are very economical and the quality seems to be good. They really are a well stocked, well equipped, massive warehouse of needs and wants. It just wasn't for me and that too is ok. read more

I love the brand and have shopped at dozens of Ikea's in different countries, but this Ikea has a list of things wrong with it. So much so that shopping here has sadly lost its luster for me and my family. Here are the problems: 1. It doesn't matter how few or how many people are shopping, the lines are the slowest and worst I've ever seen, see photo. 2. You have to go through the whole store to get to/from the restaurant. And then the line is always crowded and slow. I did read that when Ikea's folks came to build in Indiana, they wanted to make midwesterners exercise for their food. It sadly ends up being impossible for work meals. 3. If you want to buy something from the Swedish food market, you have to go through the line for the bistro, unlike other locations where there is a separate place to buy food from the market. On crowded days, it can take an hour just to buy from the market. 4. There are no restrictions on shopping carts in the showcase area, making getting around the store very difficult. 5. The store is clearly understaffed, even in summer when college students could rock. The showrooms are adorable. Pity that shopping here is such a hassle. I'm going to keep going to the Cincinnati and Chicago locations, but my love of the Ikea experience is probably forever gone. read more

This was my first time in this location and I have to say, that it is much nicer than the one I've been to in South Florida where I live. I was there at lunchtime on a Monday and the store was relatively empty which made it easy to meander and browse. The store itself is very open and bright. The "rooms" are decorated beautifully. The staff members were so friendly. Maybe because of the area? I would definitely return the next time I'm in the area! read more

IKEA blew me away! They have everything, EVERYTHING! Even a food court. My mind was blown. I am about to move into my first home and was recommended to go here to shop for it. They have all the different sections, with room displays to see the merchandise and visualize it. There is kitchen displays, bedroom, dining room, and kid rooms.You can also buy the whole room display if you're wanting to redo your home that way. When you first walk in you grab a pencil and paper to keep track of what items you'd like. If it's big furniture items you write down the description, aisle #, and bin #. You can grab small things as you go, but the furniture you have to get at the end as you head to the check out area. At the very end of all the sections, you enter the warehouse and it's just all the stocked inventory and you find the aisle and bin of each item you want, and load it in your cart. You do have to build the items you buy. There is also a mark down aisle. So items that have been returned or may be going out of stock are marked down. It's just like a clearance section. Finally Indiana has an Ikea, right here . We are so lucky to have a fantastic store and we don't have to drive to Ohio anymore. You will find very affordable Scandinavian furnitures, nice coworkers , take home food , cookies. The store is a bit smaller , than others, but I have fun when I go to shop. I 've got all our Christmas light, tv unit, day bed Hemnes is the best, and we like the Business table and chair we got. Ikea is the place for anybody , good place for window shopping , getting ideas, celebrating an occasion and much more. They have a free reward program called Ikea Family , it's wonderful. read more

My experience with Ikea was profoundly disappointing and infuriating. My wife and I bought a kitchen with the hope of upgrading our home and making our meal preparation a more enjoyable experience. However, our result was unbelievably disappointing. The contractor was confused and, quite frankly, unqualified to install this product. He never finished installing baseboards, left off glass partitions and generally did a poor job. Two years later and we have a large amount of leftover parts that either need to be installed or that your salesperson oversold us. This was the first IKEA I have ever gone into! I was so excited about Indy opening IKEA since all my friends have always talked about IKEA so the most amazing place ever. I really had high expectations and I would say overall this place did not disappoint. I have since gone to other IKEAs since this one has opened and I will say that this once seems a lot smaller than our neighboring one in Ohio. The layout is great and their mock set-up models are always so well done. I will say I feel like they do not change them as often as I wish they would. I have been in several times and seen the same kitchen setups and one I swear has been there since they opened the store. The warehouse is so easy to maneuver and I never cannot find an item I was eyeing in the storefront. Overall this is a great addition to northern Indianapolis and I am happy it was my first IKEA experience. CHEERS! read more

I recently outfitted my son's one-bedroom apartment almost entirely with IKEA furniture and home goods. Due to COVID and supply chain issues, this took several months of gathering items before move-in day, but we are fortunate to live 30 minutes from the Fishers, Indiana location. Assembling the furniture wasn't always "easy," but we managed... until we hit the file cabinet for his desk. As we neared the final step, the front panel fell off and the two drawers wouldn't align. After several attempts, we decided to return the piece in defeat. Customer service was exceptional. While they don't normally help assemble pieces, I think they could see how close we were. The technician spent about 15 minutes with it and returned it to us in perfect working order (and he said that this particular piece gives them trouble, too)! I wish I'd asked for his name because he really went above and beyond for us. We are happy IKEA customers! read more

We. Love. IKEA. I have only been to IKEA a few times in Fishers, but it has made furnishing a home and buying little things like wine glasses SO much easier and cheaper!! I just went tonight, two nights before Thanksgiving to pick up some extra wine glasses, plates, drinking glasses.... I got all of it for $27!!!! Yes, you read that right, 27 dollars! I was so ecstatic!!! The staff are extremely friendly, and the store is not nearly as confusing to navigate as people may think. There are signs and also arrows on the floor that show you where to go which is extremely helpful. It does take some time if you are planning on walking through the entire store, but there are some shortcuts you can take to get to different sections. I think the only thing I was slightly sad about was that in my honest opinion, their Swedish meatballs are too hyped up. ): Major sad face. I was looking forward to trying them for so so long. Don't get me wrong, they were pretty good, but not as great as they are made out to be. The way people have talked about them, I thought they were going to be delicious, they tasted like any other regular Swedish meatballs I've had in my life. Just average. I go to IKEA 3-4 times a year now since there's one in town, which is more than any other furniture store. I love their Swedish meatballs and some of their products e.g cookies, pots, wine glasses etc....and one of the best perk is their free coffee. I guess this has changed since the last time I went to IKEA, maybe a few months back. Today's experience left a bitter taste in my mouth and I was very annoyed. I usually stop by the front to pick up my free coffee before I start shopping. However tonight, the cashier said that it has changed and I must go to the cafeteria for the free coffee. So I went to the cafeteria to get my free coffee. Of course, they don't have the "to go" cup but the mug is only available. Got my free coffee in a mug, and I figured I'll go up front for the "to go" cup, kinda didn't want to walk around IKEA with the mug and possibly have an accident. The guy said I have to pay for the cup, it's not free. He gave me this look, like...I'm trying to cheat IKEA (ugh....so uncomfortable). Geez, I get it....it sucks that people take advantage of the free coffee thing that IKEA had to change their free coffee thing. Hahhhhaaa...can't be me since I'm only at IKEA a few times a year, right?!? My recommendation......maybe a reusable mug that we can bring for our free coffee if cost is an issue for members, or I can bring my own!!! I had every reason in the world to not enjoy IKEA, the Fishers, Indiana location of the cultishly popular Swedish-founded superstore known for self-assemble furniture and other items that are high quality yet surprisingly affordable. First, IKEA is huge. I'm in a wheelchair and typically alone - thus, I tend to get exhausted and shopping for larger items in such a situation is a major pain. Secondly, IKEA is crowded. I mean really crowded. Indiana has wanted an IKEA for a long time and Indiana is still seriously responding to IKEA's opening in the area that is about 30 minutes north of Indy. Thirdly, and somewhat embarrassingly, my gifts for self-assemble kind of resemble my gifts for walking. I have 0% of a tech brain. What happened? I took an unexpectedly warm January Sunday afternoon with no real obligations and ventured up to Fishers. You know your business is a major player when the street's name is changed to match your business - IKEA Way. However, you can rest assured that Lantern Road will get you there. The parking lot is huge and the parking lot was packed. Being disabled paid off a bit in this situation as there's two long rows of accessible parking directly in front of the main entrance. The spots are all ADA compliant and I believe they were all van accessible with some very specifically saying it. It's also nice that they have a sidewalk between the two sides - meaning that those with mobility impairments or in chairs don't have to walk in the street. I'd love to thoroughly describe IKEA, but upon this first visit I can honestly say I couldn't begin to tell you how to make your way through the place. Essentially, all the different sections are numbered from 1-26 and you keep following your way through the store visiting one of the most delightful, immersive showrooms I've seen. It occurred to me at one point that because you really only have outside windows in the cafe area and toward the checkout area, you really get a sense of being immersed in IKEA. I quickly wasn't looking at clocks or looking for windows or thinking about leaving - I was enjoying the shopping experience. Rather than try to describe the rooms, let me tell you what I loved: 1) The accessibility is amazing here - seriously. They have wheelchairs available and while I won't say every specific area/room is perfectly accessible, I was amazed at how much this place was accessible even with a crowd. Is a huge place? Absolutely. You need to plan for that, but if you're in a wheelchair you can easily find your way around. 2) As packed as this place was? It was surprisingly stress-free. Baby cries? You hear it, but it's not piercing like in most stores. People talking? You hear them, but you can do your own thing and I found it all rather peaceful. 3) Because it's lower stress? I'd dare say that customers are friendlier. Of course, there's always exceptions. But, seriously...I was amazed at the courtesy. 4) The pricing has something for every budget - sure, there's high-end stuff here. But, I literally shopped for three hours and spent five bucks on my first visit for a candle, a pack of batteries, and one of their bags. I found lots more I wanted, but I wanted to do some planning first. 5) Employees - you know how godawful the HHGregg folks were? Intrusive, high-pressure? It's just the opposite here. They are casual, friendly, well-informed and quietly present. You know them by their shirts and name tags, but not a single time did I feel pressured. 6) They don't just "sell," but they help explain the practical side of their items. I mean, sure, they want to make a profit. But you get a "people" vibe here - not a "profit" vibe. 7) The cafe is very cool and has been described in many reviews. I visited it, but didn't get anything this time. 8) Bathrooms are all wheelchair friendly and, I've never seen this before, the disabled stall has a "medical emergency" button at the commode. How freaking brilliant is that? They offer an IKEA Family Card that is free and comes with special perks (like a free coffee/tea) and discounts; they offer a play area for kids and for inept folks like me they do offer, for a fee, delivery and assembly. What didn't I like? It was a minor issue, but I found the check-out process slow and tedious and a little too close to Aldi's for my liking. They are friendly and helpful, but the lines are long (but again, relatively stress free) and you definitely need to be prepared for a lack of plastic bags. Europe is way ahead of the U.S. on this issue. While I may not have spent a fortune today, I definitely fell in love with the place and the experience. As a customer with a disability, I felt like this was a place I could easily go and really immerse myself in the experience. Wouldn't it be cool if they did something like start a companion shopper program for shoppers with disabilities? That would really make it easier, but there's so much to love here and I can't wait to go back. read more

The parts of the store are laid out in an interesting way. Nice balance of staged sample rooms and showroom-style layouts. Some of the assembled pieces were noticeably wobbly or wonky, making me wonder about the build quality. The cafeteria is really nice... really good food! The Swedish meatballs are awesome, as expected, and so are the veggie balls. The chicken strips and fries were both crunchy and satisfying. First visit to IKEA. EVER! Who has never been to IKEA, you say? *raises hand* *face palm* I visited this iconic store recently not really prepared for what to expect. I knew the place was big, but my goodness! How many sections of stuff can there be to choose from?!?! IKEA has it covered. Walking through the store, I literally felt I was in a corn maze. Literally. There were maps above my head with directions on where to go to find whatever I needed. There are actually SHORTCUTS through the displays!! Seriously!!! If you want to avoid going around the whole store, you can cut through doors to go directly to what you're looking for. Shout out to the architects for this place because....whew. While I enjoyed finally getting acclimated, I can say I wasn't overly impressed with the quality. Yes, this is boxed, DIY furniture. Yes, it totally looks like it. This is nowhere to be if you're looking for something rich and hearty for your home. I felt like most of it is paint by number, connect the dots-ish. I give IKEA 5 stars because I just like it. There's always something to see! I like when they change up their spaces or host kids events! And the restaurant area is perfect for s full meal or light snack! We personally go just to walk around sometimes and get some steps in! Walk around for inspiration or just to get the kids out of the house on a rainy day! When we first moved to Indiana this past July I was really sad to find out there was no Ikea! I was really happy when I found out one was in the works and I didnt have to wait long for one With that being said, I love Ikea. Whats better? I love Ikea in Indiana. Why, you ask? There is plenty of parking and the crowds are not too bad. Especially during the week. Compared to Ikea in my home state of California, Ikea in Indiana is a walk in the park. Trust me. This 1-story location is very clean and there is tons to look at. From couches, to desks, to beds, etc, etc. and all very affordable. The display rooms and kitchens are very well decorated and give tons of inspiration for decorating and furnishing your home. We can seriously spend a couple of hours here and leave with some decently priced furniture and a full tummy! With that being said, An Ikea trip is not an Ikea trip if you do not try their food! I loooove Ikea food! ESPECIALLY their meatballs! So delicious and affordable! We always make it a point to stop and get lunch or dinner when we visit. I love the IKEA in Fishers, Indiana. I enjoy coming here and getting ideas for my home. They have many areas setup like various rooms in your home to better visualize what their items may look like in your house. Plan to be here awhile because this place is huge! They even have a cafe for you to grab a bite to eat. I broke my french press and decided to stop by IKEA for my replacement considering I was in the area. I got a bit carried away and ended up purchasing a discounted tv stand for $30, instead of the paying the original price of $150. I was stoked. I did purchase other items and my french press. I went into IKEA with my Ma and we spent 3 hours and still didn't make through the entire store! This storage is huge! You could fit Costco and Sams in the same building! There are arrows that help guide you through the store to help with your shopping experience. As said by other Yelpers that this store goes in a maze to the point you start at the show room and work your way through the store until you can pick up items and buy them. A lot of things in the store is affordable. I came in for lights and left with those plus some! Everything was affordable and good quality to be on sale. The staff is nice and helpful but it always seems like when you say "excuse ma'am/sir" they don't like that but almost everyone was very helpful and informative but didn't push sales in you which is great. During our excursion, we stopped to get some of these meatballs that everyone raves about. The food is setup cafeteria style where you get a tray and work your way around starting at desserts. Now why would they do that and start off with the ish we don't need! We got the veggie meatball meal that came with curry which was not hot but was ok, quinoa and steamed veggies for $3.99!!! Pretty good considering. After walking so long we decided to shortcut our way out of that place but will be back to get more! Oh p.s. Don't forget to sign up their rewards program. A behemoth of a store. This place could probably fit a CostCo and a Menards and ask where Sam's Club is at. I'm not an Ikea cult member but we did bike there (yes, we biked to Ikea) and have lunch, all the while laughing at the massive lines of cars stuck in traffic while the cops waved us thru. Needless to say, there were no other bikes at the Ikea bike rack. The Ikea cafeteria is fine and has Swedish meatballs galore. The food is nothing special - there's a reason you don't see a lot of Swedish restaurants around. But the food is perfectly fine and very reasonably priced. I do have some Ikea furniture from years ago and the description of the food above is pretty fitting for their furniture as well - they are fine/ok, of sufficient quality, and very reasonably priced. This review is specifically about working with the IKEA Kitchen Planning department. So... if you're looking for something more general, keep scrolling :) We met with IKEA for a kitchen planning appointment in January 2021. The person who worked with us was very helpful in helping us understand all the choices we had (there were a lot of choices) and we were able to plan out a great kitchen. Fast forward 12 whole months and we finally just got our last cabinet in last week. This wasn't any fault of IKEA but was all the Covid setbacks and supply chain issues. In the year between our initial meeting and our last cabinet delivery, I called IKEA so. many. times. And I talked to a ton of people. I would say that most of the people I talked to were really helpful. I had to call over and over again because it was the only way I could check to see if what we needed was in stock. What was frustrating was that, because I talked to so many people, sometimes the decision of one employee (for example, someone decided to break our order up into multiple orders) would frustrate future employees and, in turn, me, because I was just along for the ride. If management or someone is reading this, I would recommend having one or two people over a single kitchen project. I don't know how realistic this would be but it would have been much simpler for me to just email the initial person we meet with or call when she was available or, have her call us for updates, than for me to call back every single day (not exaggerating) for weeks and re-explaining our situation to new people over and over again. In the end, we're really happy with our IKEA kitchen cabinets. They're very customizable and at a great price. And, for the most part, the staff we worked with were helpful and kind. If you're remodeling your kitchen anytime soon, I definitely recommend checking out what IKEA has to offer. read more

Wish I had a house big enough to buy all the cute stuff, alas I am limited in space, but I did score an unusual coffee table. Looks somewhat industrial and has rollers. Can't wait to put it together. Yes, I actually enjoy putting the furniture together. What can I say, I do enjoy puzzles and this is always one huge puzzle, especially if you don't read the instructions. Anyway, ample parking. I don't think half the folks realize that most up front spaces are family parking for small kids. I say that because I saw several single adults park in those areas. Besides the fabulous furniture, I highly recommend the store for anybody looking for linen, rugs, toys, kitchen stuff, entertaining in general, decorating, even gardening... tons of planters and flower pots and even live plants. read more

I was so impressed with the Ikea Family member preview! First of all, I was the 261st person in line and only waited about 15 minutes, if that, to enter. The initial few sections were a crush of people, but then it thinned out a lot. We asked staff a lot of questions and everyone knew the answers or were quick to find someone else who did. They did a great job of being fully staffed and it was clear that staff had a lot of training. The cashier lines were short and they got people through pretty quickly. As is custom with Ikea, the have stacks of paper to wrap your delicate items, which is so handy. You can't get lost in this store. They have subway-style maps in every section, which show all the sections and the cut-throughs to quickly move across the store (ex. there is a passageway from section 18 to section 12 to get you to the restaurant). The products themselves were very impressive. I hit the Chicago location frequently enough to know their inventory in certain things like pillow cases and kids' duvet covers. The selection here is bigger. I don't know if they waited until this Ikea opened to release the products everywhere or if we have exclusive items. Either way, super pumped for the huge selection! We left the toddler at home, but they did have the play area open. I'm not sure of the minimum age or other requirements, but what a great idea. The kid plays while the parents shop. Seems like a win-win. The food. My mother went on and on about the food. I told her it was good, but she didn't believe me that it was SO GOOD. Our only complaint was the time it took to get our food. We stood in the food line longer than the time it took to get inside or check out. I think with many new restaurants, they just didn't have enough dry runs. Or perhaps they anticipated more varied orders. It seems like everyone ordered the "Ikea special" of Swedish meatballs with lingonberry sauce. They had plate after plate waiting and it looked like they were holding for either the Swedish sauce or lingonberries. One feature that some may love and some may hate - the carry out food section. Here, you can buy frozen meatballs, the packet to make Swedish sauce, desserts, various mixes, fish, candy, cookies, etc. It has its own cashier line. This is great if you want to quickly run in just for food. However, if you have other purchases, you have to go through the regular line for your other purchases, then you have to go through the food line for your food purchases. You MAY be able to buy the food in the regular line, but this was not clear and there was no signage to indicate this is ok. One bummer was that they did not have electric scooters/carts. They did have a ton of manual wheelchairs, but they were heavy and hard to steer. My mom has a bad knee, so she was going to use a scooter, but they didn't have any. There was no way she could walk the length of the building, so I pushed her in a wheelchair. It was difficult to maneuver her along with my purchases. When she tried to push herself (along with the purchases on her lap), it was really difficult for her. I hope they consider adding at least a handful of scooters. read more

First things first: you can't go wrong with an IKEA. The Fishers location is no exception. As they usually are, this place is massive. I feel like I got my full step-goal with my fitness tracker by walking through this place just one time (slightly exaggerating, but tells you how big it is). Before the Fishers location, I always went to the one near Cincinnati, OH. One thing I didn't like about that location was that there were different floors / levels so it wasn't as accessible. Luckily, the Fishers location is all on the same level, so there are no stairs/elevators/escalators to handle. I came here for a sneak peek for all IKEA Family members and my, oh, my, it was B-U-S-Y. This place is going to be packed for the solid next three months or more. The location is great, very convenient. It's right off of I-69, has lots of parking, and it's a very open area - with lots of growth available. The staff were all very, very helpful and friendly. It seemed that there were staff around every turn and corner you went on. Not sure if this was just for the opening, but it was a nice touch. They have it all though: furniture, furnishings, decor, home supplies, plants, tools, Swedish food pantry, etc. Can't wait to go back - I'm so happy we don't have to drive 2 hours anymore - but I'll give it a few months to calm down and let the storm of IKEA-hungry Hoosiers to pass over first. read more

I know on my next move or remodel, I will be taking a trip to IKEA! At first the store can be a tad intimidating but once you start on your adventure you forget your worries. The real bonus is their model display rooms. This was a great way for them to feature their items and show you what you could do with the items in your own home. The kitchen/ restaurant half way through the building is genius! Because everyone gets hungry during all the shopping and walking! Love me some ikea! So happy this place has made it closer than 2.5 hours to me! Ha! Although I'm not a fan of driving to fishers, I find if I go during off hours, it's not a big deal (like after 7pm on weekdays). It's so much more manageable than if you go during the weekends! I made that mistake once. The flow of the store is alright once you figure it out. They have signs everywhere and lights on the floor guiding you where to go but if you wonder off, beware you might end up in a different area! The selection of items changes with the seasons and not much more than that. The cafeteria is nice to have but haven't made my way into it except for drinks only. Again, super busy on the weekend! If you want to cut through and just get to the stuff instead of all the furniture and displays, like myself, you can cut through around section 3 I believe. I've purchased many practical items at reasonable prices although I feel some items are way overpriced for what they are. read more

I first experienced IKEA a little over a year ago, when we traveled all the way to Cincinnati. Prior to the Fishers store opening, Cincinnati was the closest IKEA store to Indianapolis. I've been a fan ever since then. The Good: IKEA caters to customers who want to maximize their space efficiency, and they also appeal to budget-minded customers. I've been very impressed with the quality of the products I've bought from IKEA, and there has always been a consistency of experience from one store to another. Their furniture seems to be decent quality, judging from the night stands and other items we've bought at this location. The Bad: The crowd can sometimes be overwhelming, especially on weekends. I was there recently on a Saturday afternoon, and I felt like a sardine. The Ugly: The parking lot. When it's crowded in the store, parking spaces start to become scarce. We drove around the parking lot for 20 minutes last month, trying to find and maneuver into a spot. We resorted to following (stalking) a family as they exited the store, watching them the entire time as they approached their car, and then we pounced on the spot as soon as they were halfway out of the parking space. If the store manager is reading this, please do something about the parking situation. You may not think you need more, but you do. Trust me. There's no reason why an otherwise civilized person like me should have to resort to such behavior just to park, and it kind of tics me off that you made me do it. Normally, I would just bail and cancel the visit to your store, but I had already invested 25 minutes just to get here from Westfield, and I wasn't giving up. read more

We came on a Sunday , be prepared overwhelming crowded. I did purchase a few items but really couldn't look around maneuvering through the people. We tried the cafeteria and had the chicken and Swedish meatball meals which were good and reasonably priced. Plan to come back on a week day morning to really explore all they have to offer. I miss the old IKEA, the new one is a shadow of its former self. Stopped to eat while shopping there. The Swedish meatballs are about half the size they once were and the veggies are awful. The soda machines and ice dispensers weren't working at all so a mediocre warm bottle of pop or water had to do. I longed for the day we'd get an IKEA here, now it seems only a matter of time before it follows Sears to the grave. read more

IKEA, where you feel like a trendy socialite, hip decorator, Swedish meatball, and a maze rat all at once. This IKEA is all one level and seems a bit smaller than some other of their locations. That said, it's still a big maze and you can wander for hours. Lots of furniture and housewares, both functional and trendy. Big selection of styles and colors. I purchased two dressers and the price was decent for what you get. Some of the items are press board, which is cheap but the color veneers hide that. The quality of material and hardware is higher than what you find in other brands. Check out the cafe by the main exit. OMG!!! This place is amazing! I had the awesome honor of camping out for 3 days before the store actually opened! I received a free chair and other awesome goodies!!! I was supposed to get the couch but there was a HUGE controversy- but I'm ok with it :) This is the first IKEA in Indiana and I am so glad I get to experience the grand opening! This IKEA seems smaller than most as it is a 1 story store. The prices are UN-friggin-believable here! The staff is pumped up and ready to serve :) I was looking for a coffee table for my living room and some other odds and ends (shower curtain, decor for our bathroom, and stuffed animals for my LO) You MUST try the cafeteria and the Swedish meatballs!! This place is sooooo legit!!! And of course I'll be back... in about 7 months when the crowds die down! read more

This was my first visit to this store, and it was good, but not as nice as other IKEA locations I've been to before. They had lots of checkout lines open, but we still waited for over 10 minutes. The store layout felt confusing at the beginning and currently, the cafeteria is closed. read more

Holy anxiety! My husband and I decided to stop on our way back to the south side to see what all the hype was about. I literally thought I was in a fun house! You start on one side and it's set up like "rooms" so you get ideas and see how it's look in your house. Ok, that's cool for the first 5 but after that it gets a tad overwhelming. It's separated in areas like office, kitchen, bedroom, etc with little decor pieces sprinkled here and there but not much considering everyone is aimlessly walking around pushing large empty carts which clog up the aisle ways. Once you venture in, there's no clear way on how to get out unless you turn around and go back the way you came or keep pushing through! About halfway though (I think?) I turned to my husband and said "ok I'm done, can you get us out of here?" (This is the part my anxiety started sinking in). After locating a hanging "you are here" sign and realizing we were in a "sub category" and had to maneuver back to the main path we got a little disoriented and thought we'd never make it out! Employees are very few and far between so you can't find anyone to ask questions or assistance so you have to fend for yourself. Luckily we found our way to the registers which are on the opposite side of course and were able to get out alive! We still aren't quite sure what all the hype is about but left with all the money we took in so I think that's a plus? Oh and we didn't have to camp out over night or attack someone for their complementary meatball so that's good too! We don't see a second IKEA run in our future though and heavily advise you "enter at your own risk!" read more
