I love danish furniture and when I retired I bought myself a gift I always wanted from Scandinavian Design, a teak sideboard. Unfortunately, within a short amount of time, the top started to crack. SD did replace that unit under warranty. The second one has now also cracked in the same spot. SD said even though I've had the unit a short amount of time, it didn't reset the warranty period. Told me to get it fixed myself and cover the costs myself. They did give me a reference of who to call to fix it. My advice is to avoid SD wood furniture especially the Mazi sideboard, as they don't offer quality items that last over time. Special Note, Kaitlyn, the customer service inidividual responded to me in a timely manner and was very respectful. I have purchased other items from SD, a leather couch, leather recliner and ottoman, 4 dining chairs for my daughter, 2 outside teak chairs, and was very surprised SD doesn't value loyalty to their customers, but expect it from their customers.

We used to love this place, purchased 4 items and spent almost $3300. After we received our sofa it has a huge gap in the middle, we contact the customer service as soon as possible because the delivery person doesn't care about it and told us to contact them even tho we told them there's a problem with the sofa. This is what they told us in customer service which is Anthony Christopher, knead the cushion for 3 minutes to flatten it out we did and it didn't work. This is also what they said 'You are welcome to return the sofa, keeping in mind that we do have a 20% restocking fee, stated on the back of your receipt.  If we have to pick up the sofa, we would also require a delivery charge of $149 for the pick up. If you do wish to return the sofa on your own, please note that we do not have warehouse personnel available Monday through Wednesday to assist and unloading the sofa.  However, if you wish to keep the sofa, we will follow corporate protocol and submit a claim to the manufacturer to determine the cause of the defect. If you could provide a couple photos of what it looks like now after you've tried the technique, we will submit those and the previous photos you supplied in coordination with current photos of our floor model sofa as a comparison. Due to the manufacturer being overseas, there may not be an instant response, but they do respond to our requests. We will work in cooperation with them to make sure your sofa is as you expected it to be, at no additional cost to you'. I have the receipt and it was not indicated in there about the fee, it's so frustrating. We're not happy with the product and they want us to pay to return it, and on top of that we live 40mins from this place. Horrible experience, when I spoke to Anthony Christopher in the phone he hang up on me when I was talking to him. His customer service is the worse!

I had an extremely disappointing and disheartening experience at Scandinavian Design. When I visited the store to purchase a painting, the salesperson went out of his way to discourage me from buying it, saying it was too "big" for my home-despite never having seen where I live. His tone and attitude made it clear the judgement was not based on design advice, but on something far more personal. As a small minority business owner, I couldn't help but feel that the interaction was racially motivated and deeply inappropriate. Despite the lack of support, I proceeded with the purchase. When the painting was delivererd, the delivery team side-swiped my mailbox, causing it to fall over completely. I couldn't receive mail for over a month. I reported the damage to the store immediately and was told someone from the insurance department would be in touch. No one ever did. I called and emailed several times with no response. I finally received an informed email stating that despite the incident being on my camera and my neighbors camera and despite their truck supposedly having cameras, that they will NOT take responsibility for the damage they caused. This behavior is unacceptable. Damaging someone's property and refusing to take accountability is not only poor customer service but theft and consumer bullying. You should be ashamed of yoursel.

Beautiful colors, modern style and wonderful pieces with character and quality!

A friend and I stopped in looking for a specific piece of furniture for her daughter's new home…read more While we didn't find what she was looking for, we did see many other pieces of furniture, decor, and unique items. We were greeted immediately upon entering the store by Sam. The prices on sectionals were outstanding. While I don't currently have room for a sectional (small living room) if I did, I would have purchased one today. The selection of pictures and decor is outstanding. Unique items include repurposed, decorated fire extinguishers, "Real Housewives of Carmel" and "Real Housewives of Noblesville" decor. I loved the wall art. There were pictures of all sizes, even very, very large pieces that I know are hard to find. Prices were very reasonable, and there was definitely something to fit every budget. This is an interesting store and well arranged. A fun place to shop.

Worst experience. The manager Mike over-promised and under-delivered on delivery date to get the…read moresale. After I signed and paid it turned into a battle to get our furniture. Purchased April 14 and was anticipating it mid May. I had to call to get an update, they never reached out. We were then told end of May and we didn't get our furniture due to damaged pieces until mid June. It still arrived damaged and they had to send out a third party team to fix it. The communication was awful and when I tried to talk to someone other than Mike or higher up, I was told no one was available. He tried gaslighting us when we were upset and was terrible to work with. I had to call the other location just to get an accurate delivery date. Awful experience, awful customer service. Would highly recommend getting furniture from anywhere else.
