Ikea had a promotion during the summer where certain entrees were 50% off after 11am. Additionally, they had a secondary promotion going on where if you spend $75, you get $25 off. I ordered their classic meatball with mash and peas. It was very good. I am a sauce person, so I liked how they provided lots of sauce and gravy. I would say that the portions were a reasonable size, but some people may need to order 2 dishes to be full. Visited Ikea in-store this week and immediately noticed that all of the reviews online saying there has been a dramatic decline in quality could not be more true. Wish I had done that before trying to shop online, which led to Ikea charging me $947.92 for an order they claim never existed despite having sent me a confirmation email and processing the charge on my card. I will certainly update this review if the issue is ever resolved, but the prospects of that look bleak. Ikea has repeatedly indicated that they are unable to help, and that "it is possible for a transaction to be missed by the system due to a technical issue", which is absurd, but what's worse was their pathetic responses and inability to keep track of the cases supposedly created to investigate it. I was repeatedly assured that a case had been opened, only for the next representative to tell me it had been lost to the same black hole as my order. Poof Details below. On June 12th, I placed an order through the IKEA iOS app, received a confirmation email, and was charged $947.92. However, the order never appeared in my account and could not be tracked using the order# provided in the confirmation email. I was stressed about this and my move to a new and unfurnished home, so I spent hours of trying to contact Ikea only to have a representative finally grace me with their presence to advise that IKEA had no record of the order despite the confirmation email and processed charge. They said that they would open a case about it and it would be looked into within 24-48 hours. Spoiler, that did not happen. On June 13th, I reached out because I had noticed the charge had been processed. They offered to open a case, to which I let them know that a case had been created by the agent I had chatted with the previous day. I was then informed that a case had not been created, and that they would create one.. I asked for a confirmation email and was told they can't provide that, and I can sure see why because over the following week, I spent hours and hours and hours repeating this exact process on loop, reaching out for an update only to be to repeating all of the same information over and over again, and multiple representatives assured me that cases had been created, only for the subsequent representatives to claim they could not locate those cases. Not a single one of the case numbers provided to me were ever traceable through IKEA's system at any point. June 14th. No update. June 15th. My move-in date. The charge is still on my card. I reach out to Ikea and go through the same loop of asking for an update on my case and being told that there isn't a case but that they would create one. And of course, the order still doesn't show up when I try tracking it. June 16th was my scheduled delivery date. I reach out to Ikea, same loop as above. June 17th, I begin the dispute and chargeback process with Amex and request them to open a fraud investigation. On June 18th, I reached out for an update, and like clockwork, the IKEA representative said "it happens rarely, but it is possible for a transaction to be missed by the system due to a technical issue.", right.. except the transaction wasn't missed, I was charged. I've since found several people online referencing having experienced this exact situation with Ikea and it never being resolved by them. What's particularly ironic is that I visited the IKEA store in Richmond this week and saw that the countless reviews describing a mammoth dip in quality were not exaggerating whatsoever, drop-shipped particleboard galore. So that's another reason to never shop online at Ikea, or shop at Ikea at all. As of June 19th, IKEA has made no meaningful effort to correct this. read more

This is food court food, so it would be hard for me to give it 5 stars, however, I would say, it would be hard to find a place with better value than IKEA for food (perhaps Costco?) For a grand total of just over $12, I got fish and chips, garlic bread, and an orange juice - you don't really find that type of price anywhere these days. The food wasn't mind blowing, but it was decent. The lineup was a bit on the busier side, but it moved quickly. There were tables and seats available next to big windows, which was nice for some natural sunlight. read more

It's astonishing how unfriendly the staff are there. We were lucky enough to have come across two different ladies on shift that possessed an uncanny disposition to an angry Pit bull. Honestly, I refrained from asking anymore questions as I felt that she was gonna throw a pillow pretty soon. Moving on..... The cafeteria. I'd stay away just because there was a funky smell all throughout the place. Like cheap processed food bordering a plastic manufacturing plant. Stock. 90% of their items on their website...yeah nowhere to be found in store. Save yourself the trip. read more

For a quick and cheap snack, the Ikea cafe (the one selling the snack items - coffee, pop, frozen yogurt, cinnamon buns etc) was always a no-brainer place to stop if I was in the area for a $1 frozen yogurt or $0.75 hotdog (used to be $0.50!!). Recently they've introduced a veggie dog and I decided to give it a try. It wasn't a tofu or hotdog look-alike kind of veggie dog but was actually a mix of lentils, quinoa and vegetables. It was dressed with pickled cabbage, a sweet mustard and fried onion bits which is something like you would get at a fancy hot dog stand! For the same price as a regular hot dog, I don't mind the veggie version. I really only wanted to highlight the veggie dog from here and I'm interested in trying the other newer veggie options in the Ikea restaurant (the eatery in Ikea that serves the meals). read more

This location has been sold out of mac n cheese for several weeks. I'm surprised that they don't announce it earlier in the line but only at the end when you are ready to order. Because they were sold out I ordered several sides of meatballs as my kids will eat these instead. Why really chapped my buns is the fact one guy ran from the kitchen to the cashier to ensure they knew I had several orders of the meatballs. I was treated as if I was a common thief who would steal meatballs. They are $2.50 per side of meatballs, this isn't going to break my wallet. Poor performance ikea. read more

For what it is, yep, 5 stars. Cafeteria style meal before I go into the maze that is Ikea. Meatballs all the way. Pair that with a glass of red, and you're all set for some home decorating and spending way more than what you were budgeting for. Love it. read more

Been to this location many times and have always had courteous friendly good service. Today it went to being a cut above with an incredibly knowledgeable associate that really was able to help and answer some complicated questions and create a solution. The store is always well stocked and merchandised but the people make the difference.Definitely the Ikea Location that's worth visiting! Also love their hotdogs. Highly recommended! read more

One word, cheap but delicious. For less than $3, you got full breakfast and free endless coffee. I don't think you can find similar one elsewhere. It is a must have when you visit IKEA. read more

I wasn't going to write this review but I thought I'd give a shout out to one of my guilty pleasures. Once in awhile I have a hankering for Swedish meatballs so I go to Ikea. I'm not a Scandinavian food connoisseur however this is one of those quirky childhood food memories I have. I don't shop for Swedish disposable furnitures anymore however I come here for the meatballs slathered in the creamy gravy and the sweet and tart lingongerry sauce. (I love it when the cafeteria worker presses the pump to release the sauce and it literally makes a 'squirt' sound!) The mash potato is surprisingly good too. The dining room is quite large and faces the highway similar to other Ikeas I've been to across Canada. I normally go during non-busy times so it's very quiet and very clean. Anyway, this is one restaurant I'm glad hasn't disappointed the child in me. read more
