IKEA deluxe breakfast $5.99
Nancy L.

I've been to IKEA for meals multiple times and my conclusion is that while the location is good for hanging out, the food is mediocre. Recently there was the half off meals for Ikea members on Thursdays which ended on June 5. We've tried all items and only liked the Swedish meatballs. The rest was too bland, too dry, or too salty. IKEA recently introduced a deluxe breakfast for $5.99. The price is quite good however the food is, again, mediocre. It's got hashbrown, 3 slices of pancake, 2 sausage links and bacon. You can add coffee or drink, both at $1.50, and you'll get free refills. Despite the food, i always had a good time hanging out there with family members. Had the price been more expensive, then I don't think it would have been worth it.

Their meatballs & fish & chips sets are timeless! We love getting these for dinner before or after we shop for household items & furniture. I haven't had their ice cream cone in awhile, so I enjoyed it again yesterday. The size seems to have increased -- it's huge! IKEA's food is always amazing value for what you get -- their stuff actually tastes good.

IKEA's warehouse sale
Mike T.

Came here with a friend on boxing day because there was a IKEA warehouse sale with supposedly really good deals based on the ad on their website. I didn't want to spend time at the cafeteria or the showroom so I came to just checkout out the warehouse sale, buy my things, and get out. I needed a new TV stand because my old one just broke apart as I was adjusting it one day. IKEA richmond was was packed, and the parking spots that were still vacant was a bit of a walk. They had cars stalls for fuel efficient cars like mine but it was full of Teslas. A time-saving tip I can give is that you should go online and research the item you want to buy first and note the aisle and bin number. It will tell you that info when you select the warehouse location for the item on their website. When you arrive, go straight to the shelf and grab the item. You'll need to cut through the checkout area on the right side downstairs and straight to the warehouse. Avoid going through the huge showroom maze upstairs. Another tip i can give is to checkout the as-is section if you're NOT picky about it being totally brand new. There are lots of good deals on returned items. Bonus is that they're often already assembled. The TV stand I wanted was $60 off regular price at the as-is section. It was in great condition. But my family only wanted a new one which was still regular price. If you need a new TV stand, the IKEA Besta TV stand is most popular one to get because its highly customizable and it's reasonably priced. Small rant but as a person who rarely assembles furniture, it was a pain assembling it. The instruction was so bad, i had to redo a lot of steps because they didn't make it clear which side to place the screw in. They need to improve the steps in their instruction booklets. The TV stand itself is great though. The warehouse sale had some good deals. I needed a small drawer so I bought the $30 2 drawer chest malm regularly $70. I'm using one now from a past sale and I'm really happy with it. It's a great nightstand. The queue to checkout was a little long at about 15 minutes. Getting out was easy with the extra large elevator that goes straight down to the underground parking lot. There were at least 6-7 shopping carts inside the elevator, it's really big! There is a large pick up area beside the exit so my friend drove the car which was parked far away and we unloaded the drawer and TV stand there. It's a very convenient area for loading large items and there's always a vacant spot. I don't really have anything super negative about IKEA in general so far. 4 out of 5 stars. Check out the warehouse sale the next time it comes back. Some of the deals were good. They don't advertise the exact items on sale so you'll have to come in person. Special shout out to the nice guy who helped out a group of ladies who needed help loading their large furniture into their car. They were struggling loading up their car and he helped them without any hesitation. Nice to see there's still some good people out there during this hectic holiday season!

I really like IKEA -- it's a great place with a huge selection of items for every part of the home. Whether you're furnishing a new space or just looking for smart little solutions, they have it all. Another big plus is the food! If you get hungry while shopping, you can grab a tasty meal for a very reasonable price without having to leave the store. It's super convenient and surprisingly good. Highly recommend for both shopping and a quick bite!

What the heck happened to the IKEA food??? Where's the butter chicken, half chicken later became the 1/4 chicken And now gone!!!!! The salmon fillet is covered with this ersatz ketchup sauce. Very strange. The veggies are overcooked and cold. Not good at all. The Hungarian mushroom soup is so bland, we had to add so much black pepper, still didn't help. The pulled pork sandwich is so bloody sweet and the consistency is like silly putty. I also chomped on a bone in the pulled pork sandwich!!! Yikes!!! The coleslaw is watery and tastes bland. This is so disappointing. The IKEA I knew a longtime ago used to be amazing. Not anymore. Disappointing. Do better!!!

3.5/5 Review on Cafeteria This was a recent meetup spot with a friend who just had a baby recently. I choose this location as it was family friendly with a nursing room, and wide lanes for a stroller. I've loved the meatballs and tried the veggie version, it was a nope. I like "beyond meat" options and I prefer the Chinese wheat gluten version of meat texture. The lingeon berry sauce is on a diet of less sugar which was great, it did missed that splash of citrus as it was rather flavourless. Mash was cafeteria mash and peas were withering away in the warmer. The tomato soup surprised me as it actually tasted there were fresh tomatoes mixed in with its skin still in the soup. Very nice. Coffee was mild. I do like cafeteria's and this one was very nice and bright. Would be game changing if there were more options on cooked veggies and desserts that is not in the fridge and in a warmer. I appreciated actual cutlery and they did a fantastic job keeping the area clean. Note to IKEA, there was only one nursing room. With the amount of traffic IKEA brings esp to new moms doing shopping. I can see the amount of work moms have to do esp when their baby is brand new. Let's make their lives a little easier with these errands.

Cinnamon bun

Love ikea for the DAIM cake and their veggie hot dogs. Tried the cinnamon bun this time and it was a ok, a little on the over-baked side.

Need a quick affordable lunch? IKEA is the way to go! Came here for a quick bite as i was in the area. I usually go for their Fish and Chips, which honestly I might prefer over Pajo's. However I really wanted to try the Smoked Salmon and Poutine, so that was what we opted for. First taste, the Smoke salmon was nice and chilled, had a nice smokey flavour and fresh at the same time. The lemon and Honey Mustard like-sauce really complement the fish. The Poutine was also as tasty. Skin on Cut Fries with gravy and cheese curds! nothing better than that. The gravy does seem to be a different type, than the one IKEA serves with their Meatballs. Nonetheless still good. Has the Same Fry as New York Fries, but same weight as the Costco Poutine if that makes sense! also have to wash everything down with their Sparkling Pear Juice/Pop!

Approaching Ikea always has me feeling like I'm about to enter a massive cornfield maze. I see the 'enter here' sign & realize - I'm going in & will get lost & hopefully I don't run into the scary scarecrow aka the cashier waiting at the till to take all my cash! Ikea had done some renovations since the last time I was here, but only succeeded in making the maze even more confusing! I continue to get lost & it's hard to even find a staff member (they're probably lost as well) to help me get out due to poor signage! However, I am amazed that in 2020, Ikea can't come up with an easy map layout & guide to make things go smoothly when going about here! It boggles the mind & I'm beginning to think that odd dude in the Ikea commercials who pops up at the strangest times - is the actual floor planner for Ikea!!! How else do you explain the bizzarest layout of any big box store!?! On a positive note ... Ikea continues to shine in providing chic affordable & quirky items that beautify the home! Even when you think you're just coming here to have a look - you get to the cashier & get told - 'that's a total of $150 sir!' I'm also under the belief that Ikeas assembly instructions inside those boxes of whatever you've bought, have gotten easier to read & actually make sense!!! Assemble time seems to have become shorter as well! What used to take half a day to put together a basic chair, now takes minutes!!! You can still get cheap meals & I continue to love the Swedish meatballs, lingonberry sauce & mash! For dessert the Daim cake is so awesomely Scandinavian tasty in flavour! Skål.

Restaurant is always clean, food is very cheap and delicious! Currently it's $8.99 for their Swedish meatball meal. Their kids menu is $4.49. It comes with a choice of drink and also apple slices. The carrot cake was $3.99 for a small slice and the taste wasn't too great so I won't be getting it again next time. Their warm cinnamon bun was $1.50 and it was delicious! At this store they also have some dim sum options, though we didn't try it, it looked like other people did order it. I really like how there is so many seats available and how the restaurant location is huge!

Showrooms seem small. $3.99CAD? for mac and cheese. You get a juice and apple sauce (not peas like the US).
