    Meatball lunch
    Michael L.

Swedish Thursdays are back at Ikea. For a limited time (not sure when the promotion ends) entrees are 50% off for lunch and dinner. Shared the meatballs (with mashed potatoes, peas and gravy) and also the salmon (with roasted potatoes, a kale salad and peas). The presentation of the salmon was impressive. I did like the pesto sauce they used on the potatoes but found the hollandaise sauce lacked taste and the salmon a wee bit overcooked. But hard to go wrong at $9 for both meals. Understanding this is a very popular event and the lunch service starts at 11 am, so highly recommend coming at least 10 minutes before the service starts or 20 minutes after to avoid the line ups. It was a positive food experience.

My family has been to IKEA many times for meals. While the food is mediocre at best, now that I have a toddler, IKEA is certainly one of the places where some of us can eat and while another member supervises her in one of the kids play areas. Our usual go-to food items are the smoked salmon that's in the fridge. It's at $4.99 a plate and it is delicious, particularly with the dill sauce. The mushroom soup and the swedish meatballs are also good. The rest of the food selection was mediocre, and either too bland or too salty. If you have the IKEA membership, you can get a coffee and it's unlimited refills! IKEA market hall is an excellent place to hang out for a long duration of time. With the free beverage refills and affordable food items, you can basically be there for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The bonus is that no one demands tips from you. In today's economy, what more can you ask for?

I like it! For the price - the quantity is decent and the flavours are pretty consistent. I really like the Chicken balls which has a nice spice and the free coffee for IKEA family members (a free membership) is great. Kids also get to eat free on Wednesdays so that helps us save money for the toys I end up buying next to the restaurant.

IKEA has this deal right now where IKEA Family members can get 50% off select main dishes at lunch or dinner, from Mon - Fri., after 11am. We went to take advantage of this deal. There were only 3 dishes offered for this deal. Meatball, Plantballs, or Haddock & Fries. All 3 of us opted for the Haddock & Fries. Hubby said he'd tried the Plantballs before and they weren't very good. I really wish they would offer the Veggie Balls for this deal. In fact, I'd like to just see the Veggie Balls on the menu, even at regular price as I'm curious about them. I'm not a huge fan of plant based foods that try to imitate the taste and texture of meat. I prefer stuff that's just made of veggies and tastes good. The Haddock & Fries was an incredibly greasy meal. I mean, Fish & Chips is always going to be a greasy meal but this was just a little too much grease. My daughter and I tend to be quite sensitive to grease. Towards the end of the meal, my daughter started to complain that she felt a bit sick to the stomach. That tends to happen when she eats food that's too greasy. I had thought about taking some napkins and blotting some of the grease before eating. Really wished I had followed up on the idea. It's a furniture store and they're really known more for their furniture than their food so...guess I can't come down too hard on them. Don't really recommend this place unless you're looking for a cheap meal. I do enjoy their $1 veggie dogs. Never had them at this location but I imagine they would be of the same standard as the other location I had them at.

Sustainability can be simple and effective. The restaurant and its fast food operation style it's inexpensive. The choices are good enough to fill your stomach. With their new menu, the foods are not flashy but it is definitely worth a try.

    Very dry haddock and fries.

I ordered two Deluxe breakfast for my wife and me. It consisted of 3 mini pancakes, 3 strips of bacon, 2 sausages, lots of scrambled eggs and mini hash brown potatoes. It also comes with coffee. The coffee is free as long as you have an IKEA membership. It was simply delicious. My wife approves and so do I. Finally a positive review for once in a long time.

The restaurant at IKEA Richmond is wonderful!! They have a nice open dining room, with lots of seating options. The service is quite fast, so don't fear if you see a line! They have a few vegetarian and vegan options, and all of them are delicious. Is it at the same level as other restaurants... no... but considering it's a restaurant within a mega store, it's very delicious! Definitely recommend if you're in the area and hungry.

My order: Salmon Fillet Combo $11.99, mushroom soup $3.75, coffee free for seniors...

9/10/2024 Tuesday 6 pm here to take advantage of the Tuesday Special with 20% off for senior members....and free coffee (n/c refills) Other than the discount offer, I enjoy eating at IKEA because the ambiance is relaxing, pretty spacious and clean settings, the menu is on the simple side, with a healthy diet... Despite the limited choices, and no alcohol servings,!I just think it's worth to visit here once a week...

A hungry little girl is who's ready to demolish these Swedish delights. Thou shall see the dawns of heavens after such a blessing.

I learned this was the last of the Swedish Thursdays for the summer and that they had changed up their menu since my last visit over a year ago. The fish n chips have been replaced with cod balls and chips and they added falafel balls with couscous. The line up for this promotion was very long circling all the way around to the stairs but they managed it well. We opted for three items: the meatballs, the falafel balls and the cod balls. The presentation of each was great, especially the falafel balls and couscous. I was not a fan of the cod balls. The star of the meals was the falafel...tasted great with the couscous and garlic aioli. It was a positive food experience.

I really didn't want my stuff left out in the open while I was at work. But I found them a bit heavy when I visited IKEA and there was no way I was gonna lug them all the way from the Lyft ride down a little flight of stairs, down a walkway down another little flight of stairs, down another walkway to the back of my house and then down another mini flight of stairs. They are 47 pounds each. I only weigh 100 they text you first thing in the morning to let you know when their ETA is. They call you 10 minutes before arrival and you can even talk to them and ask them to leave it somewhere specific for $39 delivery for IKEA family membership, which is free. This is really good service. I would definitely do it again. If you've had concerns. About delivery... IKEA delivery by a real person, communication is real not bots, they even called to ask where I'd like the boxes put since I told them no one was home. Back of house. Down the mini stairs if it's not too heavy for him. He said no problem. Sure enough. Put it at the base of my stairs. *** the box weights like half of me so very much appreciated that I didn't have to get it down those 8 steps. Thanks IKEA

Everything is modern and stylish with some unique furniture that I haven't seen elsewhere. I was so comfortable browsing the room and I can picture so many of these pieces in my new home. Staff are knowledgeable, patient and helpful. I just moved recently and I was browsing to see what furniture would suit my space. I liked that the staff gave me a lot of practical advice and did not pressure me to buy anything. They were willing to answer all my questions and genuinely wanted to assist in finding the right fit for my personal style. They also have a wide selection of lifestyle and home products. As an aspiring home cook, I couldn't resist buying a set of the stone dinnerwear from Portugal. Not only are they gorgeous, but they're also oven-safe, dishwasher-safe, and doesn't get hot when I pull it out of the microwave. They were very appreciative of my business and helped carry my items to my car. As this is a new business I took several photos, but would recommend stopping by to see their showroom as it is even more beautiful in person.

I love the slight imperfections on the plate from being handmade. I liked the heaviness and quality of the plate as well. Also comes in a darker grey/black which I might come back for.

With a staff fully comprised of dedicated volunteers, and a carefully curated inventory often donated by hospice recipients, there are definite treasures to be discovered here. The shop doesn't carry clothing (there's a HOB store just for that, a few miles away) but they do carry everything else. Kitchen items, decor, small furniture, craft items, books, and general bric-a-brac are waiting to be found here. They also have an impressive selection of antiques and vintage items, and I found their prices to be very reasonable although definitely higher than your typical thrift shop. I was also impressed that HOB Too is so used to serving their regular customers, they immediately recognized me as a new customer! One of the volunteers on duty that day even came over to say hi, introduce herself, and see what I thought of the shop. We ended up talking for several minutes. It was a really special experience for me, getting to learn more about the shop and their dedication to raising money for Hospice while serving the vintage/thrift community. Many places offer similar type lamps but are either clunky, unoriginal or will make your wallet over $1,000 lighter. We found the one we've looking for at BoConcept. It's a furniture franchise originated in Denmark. The store in Vancouver is on the 2nd level of the building shared by Inspirations on the ground level of the building. It was slight confusing on our first visit because they are 2 separate businesses which share a common centre in-store stairwell. Service was good.
