Put on your walking shoes! You can get lost in here and end up buying things you didn't know you needed. My kids love this place because they always walk out with something new to add to their bedroom. The service is okay if you find someone to help you. I enjoy finding cheap stuff that looks good but could be disposable in a few years as our requirements change.

Going to ikea on a Sunday was always a risky move, but we figured we were in the area for one we have not been to, why the heck not. We usually frequent the one in Schaumburg and it's a much different layout than this one but still the same maze to walk through. We found parking rather easy and close to the front when we went which was exciting. As we walked through, it was super unorganized. Pricing for things were so hard to find because the arrows and items were pointing to things that weren't correct. We saw trash all over the place and the sales people that were there to help were on everyone to help them build things. They did have plenty of staff and I think I only noticed because I kept getting ask how they can help me as I was trying out chairs for an accent chair. The restaurant/cafe overlooked the parking lot and hard great huge windows which was refreshing to see. As we continued downstairs, for the self service we visited the as is section and it was rather empty minus a few things but again tons of staff around. My reason for docking stairs were based on my interactions with the staff, every time I asked a question or where the closest bathroom is they were rather rude and couldn't be bothered to answer. The bathroom question got answered with follow the signs (of which I did but still couldn't find, because of the construction curtains). Also I was a bit iffy on the folks serving the food in the bistro by checkout. They just threw the food on the counter, did not change gloves between prepping and ordering food for people and it was an overall mess. Needless to say, we were able to find what we were looking for and made notes for us to order online as they didn't have any of the items we needed in stock. All in all, it was a great experience to see a different ikea.

We visited Sweden a few months ago and made a point to go the IKEA Museum, so I came in with fresh appreciation to my first visit in a long time to an American IKEA. I don't know how this is possible given the number of times I had previously been to IKEA, but this was my first time dining at their on-site restaurant. They have TWO different vegetarian options. We went with the Plant Balls, which were really tasty. The employee at the cafeteria counter definitely seemed disengaged and haphazardly slapped our food on our plate, but hey, it didn't affect the quality. I also think they were supposed to put a little flag on our food to identify it as vegan because the cashier seemed confused that this was missing. They have a limited grocery selection toward the end of the store, and we stocked up on a few vegetarian options - and even grabbed a Christmas advent calendar for the upcoming season. There is a nice mix of value in the store. You can grab some things at lower price points, but they do have items that lean more high end as well.

Hmm....I feel that Ikea has really dropped in everything the last several years. The food, the service, the furniture, the store ans the quality. Like we went to the little food area for 2 hot dogs and they were absolutely disgusting, the pretzel was gross, service was not good but I gave 2 stars for the blue slushie. At least that was decent. Couldn't find anyone for help and when we locate someone, they look like they hate their job and don't want to answer your questions. Not one Ikea employee but 2 and 3 were the same I hate my job attitude. Everything was out of stock and no wonder people stop buying cheap furniture at Ikea. Back then, at least something was great. Now ?Not a thing. Guess this is my last time at this Ikea.

We like this place. We frequently find many things we "needed" around the house, and even some things we didn't realize we needed but their foreign names convinced us to buy them (hellooooo möveraerå!). Moreover, we got dinner in their cafeteria that definitely did not have stains on a dozen coffee mugs before we found two to sip from, our eyes tired and glazed from toddler life. All that said, we'll be back for more lingon berry jam, meatballs and toddler beds at some point.

It's been about a decade since I shopped at IKEA, but my daughter really wanted to redecorate her room by herself and without any help. She shopped for stuff online, measured everything, and presented a list all from here. An entire bedroom of furniture for only $1000. Will it last forever? No, it's IKEA, but she's a kid. -She won't want this furniture yrs from now anyway. So here we are. Redoing her whole room for $1000. That's a great price. IKEA is great for what it is. The furniture is economical as long as you don't mind putting it together yourself and you like minimalistic stuff. It's a very simple esthetic. Since she loves modern, this works well. But don't expect help from employees. I never see them anywhere except for checkout. Nobody is wandering around asking people if they need help If you want something built, don't put me in charge of it. I suck at that. Thankfully she is more than capable.

This review is for the food hall in ikea. Fast service, polite and friendly staff and the free kid area to keep kids busy while we eat is lots of fun. The chicken tender was good , not amazing but didn't disappoint. Personally love their meatballs , wish there was more salt in food Overall nice dining experience

IKEA is a great place to visit if you're going on a weekday or something. On a weekend or holiday, it would easily be a 1 star. On a weeknight, it's not busy and you can explore all the rooms and sections comfortably. They also have a food court but I don't usually eat there, since there are tons of local restaurants nearby. Employees were pleasant and helpful. I've only purchased some of the smaller items and they were very decent. Huge parking lot.

Wrong aisle & bin number

The upstairs service is so unbelievably lazy. I went to go pick up a vanity (because Amazon delivery fees have gone up astronomically high due to tariffs) for my bedroom. I live fairly far. I lap around the second floor three times before finally settling on one of the 4 options they have for a vanity. All white trying to find an actual mirror. I take a picture of the desk/vanity tag so I can go and pick up the pieces to build it and buy it. As I finally find my way to the actual pieces, I'm looking for the certain aisle and bin it said it was in. Not there. I ask an employee where it was, it was "moved" to the next aisle over. I finally find the drawer part. I pick up the two pieces needed. On the tag I took a picture of the aisle placement was wrong. First confusion. I go and get the table part. Sold out. Literally says on sale. Originally $50 now $40. I ask the same employee if they have any in stock. He proceeds to tell me "no, we haven't in a very long time. I've been telling the second floor employees to work on it but they're so lazy." I proceeded to ask about different locations where they had the entire set, only in Schaumburg (40 minutes away). I asked about delivery options, and he proceeded to tell me that the delivery fee will be the same as the price of the vanity ($220). It would also take A MONTH TO SHIP because the warehouse had a FIRE. So mad.

Wow this IKEA was under construction so there was barely any product or furniture here. Was not really worth the trip.

I remember seeing a bathroom cabinet set at the Schaumburg location that just was not at the Bolingbrook location.

First, I asked the salesman if the order I placed could include felt cushions for the legs of the couch due to the floor in my home being very sensitive and easily scratched. The salesman obliged, but when the delivery team showed up, they told me they had never heard of Ashley offering felt cushions for any furniture. Only after repeated calls to the Homestore did I finally get through to someone that told me the cushions are available but that I would have to pick them up myself. Mind you, I don't live close to the HomeStore. Then when the delivery guys were setting up the couch, I asked them to move it a few inches to one side of the room because the path behind the couch was too narrow, and they said they wouldn't move it once it was already placed on the ground. So much for "white glove" service. When customer services contacted me to check how the delivery went, I informed them of these issues, to which they said they would look into it and get back to me, but I have still have not been contacted by them since. One star for the quality of furniture and delivering furniture as scheduled.

Plus Horrible customer service at pick up warehouse front desk. !! The only good thing there was the young hard working guy in warehouse when it comes to receiving the furniture. I ask what's their lunch hrs and I have been told they do lunch wherever they want. I ask for name of the person behind the counter or manager and the girl refuse to tell me her or manager name. Horrible!! I don't think I will ever buy here again.

Fine, but they didn't consult with us on the height, and adjusted the bed too high for my wife to comfortably handle. I called the store and they said they would not come out to re-adjust the bed. 'It's not our policy.' What? We're elderly, we paid 6K for a mattress, and it's 'not your policy' to ensure a customer's satisfaction? I would have 2nd thoughts about buying anything, especially an expensive adjustable mattress, at Steinhafels.

The Velcro on the back of the sofa meant for hiding the wire connections and keeping them protected is defective and doesn't stay intact. This led to electrical components no longer working and making the couch completely useless. Now we cannot recline any of the pieces. We purchased the "VIP protection plan" when we bought the couch. We were told by our sales person, Fikrat, that if anything is defective or breaks they will replace it with a new piece. We were also told that it will cover any type of defects or pet damage. Well that was a lie!! We filed a back at the beginning of September and it was immediately denied!! After fighting back and forth with customer service and servepro (the insurance company) we got them to agree and send one of their "certified technicians" out so they could evaluate. We were then ignored for awhile, no communication whatsoever about parts having to be ordered. When we called to follow up, we were told the parts had been ordered and they would let us know the ETA. Well they never did and we had to reach out again multiple times. I was told multiple times though multiple phone calls that they would get back in contact with me to update me and never once did they. We just kept being told, "the parts were ordered. We will call you back in a day or so to let you know the ETA" and then we would never receive a call back. Turns out the parts were never ordered until 10/31 (almost 2 months after the claim was filed) due to "confusion as to which parts needed to be ordered." However, was assured it was a "certified technician" that evaluated the couch so why such the confusion on what was needed to be ordered?! Their "VIP warranty experience is trash" now I'm being told that the parts to repair the sofa will not arrive to me until March of 2026!! Then I have to schedule an appointment for them to send someone out to repair it. So we're going to be going on probably 7+ months without having a working couch!! I've called servepro and Steinhafels customer service multiple times. The girl I spoke with yesterday was extremely rude and refused to let me speak with a manager!! The sales guy, Fikrat, completely ignores our attempts to reach out for assistance (he has read notifications on his texts and they are read and blatantly ignored). Do yourself a favor and save yourself from the headache, hassle and regret and go somewhere else. We paid over $6,000 for this sofa that was defective basically to begin with because of the Velcro issue!!

All around poor experience... Starting with the back end of this transaction: I picked up a table…read more& chairs yesterday at Bob's warehouse in Shorewood. I drove back to my rental property where this would be used and assembled the table and chairs (as much as I could). When I finished with the table, I noted a large scratch and secondary, small scratch (too pics). Then, the two chairs had 3 left legs and 1 right leg (!). I reported these issues this a.m. via chat, which took well over 20 minutes. I gave up and called. A gentleman at their customer service center was able to send a replacement chair via Fed-Ex (5-8 days). That said, he indicated that I had to text pictures (not online or via call) to report the scratches. So, I was moving on to my 3rd method of contact for the day. I texted pics to the number provided, and ended up texting with the same person from the online chat. I was told I'd need to return the table at the warehouse (40 minutes away) and pick up a new table (borrowing a truck again). Their QC is apparently awful. This is what you get for "cheap" furniture. I'm currently texting with a rep who is telling me there's really nothing they can do and that I needed to open all the boxes while on the ramp (there was a car behind me impatiently waiting). Also, they ask for signature the moment the boxes are placed in your car-- there is no opportunity given for inspection upon pickup. More important, we all know that we simply expect orders to be right in the first place. I've ordered so much furniture in my life and really, I can't remember ever having an issue. The pick-up at the warehouse also wasn't smooth-- the address provided in communication send you to the truck entrance-- not a big deal, but you have to back-track 3/4 mile. Then, I was sent to the loading dock to pick up and I waited almost 10 minutes before anyone opened the door. I called (no other way to contact) and was told the dock staff was occupied (I wasn't told that 10 minutes prior when I checked in at their offices on the other side of the facility). Even the shopping experience wasn't great. I had a sales staffer that had approached upon entry and when I later approached her (after looking around the store for a few minutes), I was swarmed by 3 other sales employees. Does this tend to happen at other stores? Absolutely. That said, it usually isn't to this extent. It is hard to explain, but it reeked of an unprofessional environment. Update: I just ended this issue after over 90 minutes devoted to the this issue. They "agreed" to send the table to me... but, what an ordeal. Texting is not a reasonable method for handling anymore more than the most simplistic issue. Chats/text-based "customer service" is for when you really don't care about your customers. My advice? Go elsewhere
