It's smaller than the IKEA in Covina but no less gorgeous. It's clean, organized and well-maintained. Didn't get anything for now but I'll hit this place up if and when I do. The staff is helpful and lovely - so conducive for shopping! The atmosphere is chill. I love it here.

I really wanted to like this small IKEA location, but the experiences I've had here have been frustrating enough that I won't be returning. My first visit should have been simple. Instead, the pouting, young employee at the counter told me to lift the large yellow shopping cart full of items up onto the counter for him. There was no explanation of the process, just attitude. The cart was heavy, and I'm a smaller, older woman being asked to lift it to a tall, very large young man standing behind the counter. It felt unnecessary and frankly rude. I ended up pulling a muscle in my back trying to do what he asked. If there's a specific protocol, it should be explained clearly, and employees should be willing to assist customers, not the other way around. When I left I had an overstuffed large bag and was juggling several other items. The kid didn't bat an eye or offer to help me out to my car. I should have returned it all right there immediately. I had just spent $250. Unfortunately, my second visit wasn't any better. I parked in the designated pull-up and wait area where they bring orders out to your car. While I was on the phone with my husband getting the confirmation number, another tall, large kid employee knocked on my window and startled me. I think this is the same guy as the last visit. He immediately started questioning why I was parked there. I explained I was waiting for the order confirmation and rolled up my window to continue my call. He persisted, saying he wanted to look up the order for me, but this didn't come across as helpful. It felt like he was trying to make sure I wasn't "just parking there." I didn't want to juggle a phone call with my husband in one ear and a teenager hovering at my window. I rolled the window back up, and he stood there staring while I finished my call, then walked off and gestured toward me while talking to a mall cop. There were two open spaces, so it wasn't like I was blocking anyone. After all that, it turned out my husband had accidentally placed the order at the Burbank location instead. At that point, I was so fed up with the interaction that Im cancelling the order at Burbank. This is easily the worst IKEA experience I've had in Southern California, and it's not much of a store to begin with. I try to support brick-and-mortar stores instead of defaulting to Amazon, but interactions like this make that difficult. Between the lack of customer service and socially awkward, confrontational staff, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Such a nice sneak peak at what the larger ikea stores would carry, I thought it was a very nice store with some items that I usually see in larger quantities and stacked with others. Inside are still great show rooms that make you rethink how simple rooms can be but also how hard it might be if I have to keep things so organized all the time.... I think I really enjoy looking at the smaller household items, although they have cabinets, organizers, and large furniture in boxes, I find it hard to buy these if we're just here to window shop. However, you can order online and have it picked up here and it's convenient given the distance to the nearest larger ikea. I thoroughly enjoyed walking around here, although not as expansive, it's nice to know they carry many items I do enjoy buying such as cooking and eating utensils, plates/bowls, blankets/pillow cases, candy and snacks, and decorative art. Staff are very nice as well, they have two check out registers which is definitely needed given many don't have ikea family membership and might be trying to register on the spot while checking out...

Did you know that they have "little" IKEAs in some malls? I didn't either! I was in Santa Anita mall today, came out of Macys and said WHAT? Yep it's an IKEA-tina (just what I call it) or a tiny IKEA... IN THE MALL! There seemed to be a little bit of everything except furniture. It would be great for those who can't get to a regular IKEA.

This isn't a proper IKEA store, drove 30 minutes to find a small shop - waste of time and it should be marked differently on maps.

They should call this an Ikea Planning Studio, because it isn't a normal Ikea. Can't return or pick up furniture here. Keep in mind!!

Pros for this location aside it being just minutes away from my house is its huge parking lot. Cons is their broken shopping carts. Not sure why but if you take the shopping cart outside, the wheels freezes up where you would need to lift up the cart to move it out of the middle of the parking lot. This happens every time and not just to me, but also those around me with shopping carts. It's extremely frustrating when you have bigger items in your cart and need to carry it to your car. Like most HomeGoods stores, it is directly connected to a TJ Maxx where you can find apparel and accessories for the whole family. I don't shop there so I just usually get what I need at HomeGoods and head straight to checkout. Overall, HomeGoods in general is one of my favorite retail store, because I love shopping for home decor and kitchen things. My favorite location is probably the store in Pasadena or Walnut. My obsession? Their $0.99 reusable bags - I literally have hundreds of them, because they seem to come out with different designs every week. My trunk is full of their bags but I still go in without them so I could buy new ones to add to my collection.

The store had a variety of cute affordable gift options for any occasion. While he shopped at the store, he witnessed a passive aggressive female customer purchased a couple of items that seemed too large for the bag. She requested from the employer to have her items wrapped up prevent damage to her merchandise. The employer without hesitation took her request. At the time of payment, she pulled out her credit card and threw it on the counter. The employer took notice of this, yet continued to treat her in a respectful manner. You will be in good hands when you arrive here for your home décor needs and will be a valued customer regardless of the level of rudeness you bring. But please, learn to leave that personal BS out the door.

She noted she'd reach out to her vendor. I could tell that she really felt bad about my interactions on the phone and like I mentioned originally, I am not for hurting small business. Worth a visit for anyone looking to buy furniture but not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars…read more There was a good selection of furniture and household appliances under $100.. max $250! Quality is very similar to Amazon / Mayfair, but a fraction of the cost.

Similar to Rich E.'s review of this place, his TL;DR is quite accurate: "Cheap quality stuff at low…read moreprices." However, my argument to such a poignant statement would be context matters deeply. As someone who is newly moved (I hate moving by the way, top 3 worst things in the world to experience), StockMAX was a fine location to look for items that might be a good solution for a few years. Similar to fast fashion, furniture and decor seem to be falling into the same trend of get new things every season. Rarely are things made to last as long as they used to be. However, with a different perspective you can see how StockMAX might find its audience better with those looking for solutions now with items that won't break the bank, but give luxury, even if it's only for a year or two. The space is essentially a large open floor warehouse. It is mindfully curated and has their goods placed in easily recognizable sections, ranging from cabinets, tables, chairs, desks, and random accessories you might want like ice makers, sensor activated trashcans, and step ladder shelves. They even have lawn furniture which would easily cater to any backyard activity and elevate your space. One of the best finds for me was a wide faux leather swivel chair. It has the air of avant-garde without the price you'd pay to be an aristocrat. Luckily, sitting on it brought forward a sigh of relief that it wasn't just aesthetically good looking but comfortable as well. Honestly, I'll probably end up buying it in the next week or two. That's not to say there aren't some stinkers. Most of the cabinets on sale look great, but when you get closer you realize the cabinet shelves are actually fabric instead of wood. Many of the desks look shabby and possibly breaking if you erased too hard on it. Some stuff just looked ugly. But, overall I saw more good than bad. All that being said, the statement of "cheap quality stuff for low prices" is still true, but hopefully now you can see where the value comes. Coming to StockMAX won't take up too much of your time, as you could probably speed run the whole place in 7 minutes, but if you are looking for an item here or there to tide you over for a bit, StockMAX might make your day.
