We've been to this location a few times. The service is always fast and friendly and the food hot and fresh. Our favorite now is the Breakfast Sampler. It includes 1 egg, 1 sausage, a small piece of ham, hash browns and a pancake. I get a gluten free pancake, which is $1.99 upcharge, but you can hardly tell it's not a regular pancake - such a treat. I love their ham also - nice, smoky flavor. We are able to order off the senior menu and the prices are really reasonable. Definitely will be back. read more

We were in the area for another appointment and neede d a good breakfast so we stopped here for a good meal. We came in ata about 8 AM and it appeared that a shift change was occurring while some servers were leaving, others were coming in and it was not too long for our waitress to show up at our table and askedif we wanted coffee or other beverage. Ordering coffee brought a little individual pot of coffee and two cups and creamer .we ordered off of the senior menus and off she went to get the kitchen working. In a short period of time, our break was delivered to us and all was good. The pancakes were two in number and fluffy, wj]hole the eggs were cooked perfectly and meats were cooked to order. We probably will return, since it was a perfect tome to get a great breakfast as long as you are over 55. read more

We walked out. We had been told by a previous server about the red white and blue special for veterans. We went there today to eat it. The waiter said he couldn't find it in the system and the manager who came to us said that it is only for November. We ask for a different manager. She said it was only for Veterans Day. The main points are, one why are they putting this out in September? Two there is not a single word on the paper at the table about a date of any kind. we were welcomed by a rude hostess, Casey. our party hadn't full arrived yet and she told us she couldn't seat us until the whole party arrived. We asked for the bigger booth so that when our party did arrive, we might have room to all sit at the same table. she refused, even though there were three booths available. She sat my family at two small tables separate then proceeded to give a couple of two a booth for six people. She gave our waitress Joan all the big groups and argued with her on the floor. This was absolutely horrendous. The server was not attentive at all. We had to ask for basic things like our straws. The server had an attitude as well and wasn't polite when asking for our orders. Our biggest disappointment was the over 30 minute wait for our dishes to be served. During this time our server never stopped to update us on how soon we would get our food. I came to this location about 5 years ago. They had dirty Capet that stunk like cat urine. Since then!! I am happy to report I can back and the place has been remodeled. It it clean , and is very nicely laid out!! I was greeted by a helpful waiter who took awesome care of me. I ordered a burger and a Tea. I came to may table fast. Then had to get a pancake. Service was friendly and fairly attentive. Kitchen was efficient, prepared our meals quickly. Food was cooked fairly well, presentation was nice. Restaurant uses real butter. Portion sizes were moderate Prices were moderate, reasonable for The Villages. Several menu specials available, especially for light appetite choices. Limited children's menu available. A limited menu for seniors available. Cons: Restaurant was very cold, causing meals to cool off quickly. Most foods were salty, including the pancakes. No real syrup available, only packets of flavored corn syrup and chemicals. Traditional ingredients were missing from some entrees (e.g., no peppers available for Philly cheesesteak.) Restaurant is understaffed, leading to long shifts (12 hours plus) for some workers. Though restaurant had few customers, it was noisy due to having few soft surfaces to absorb sound. read more

I'll start by saying the hostess was a sheer delight!! Very warm greeting when we walked in. Our server, who I STILL don't know her name was not attentive AT ALL! We had to ask for simple things, including napkins. Never once did she "stand" at our table. She would drop things off "in passing." Our food was cold and a few things incorrect. I walked in, no line, Ben at register shuffling papers, never made eye contact & walked away without saying anything. Then an older woman wearing a blue shirt (Manager? Barb? Her name badge wasn't legible) came to the register & again wouldn't make eye contact to a customer that has been standing there. I  kept staring at her & she finally said someone would be with me.  I'm still standing there & she finally said to follow her & Ben would help me...  (Great) Then I overheard Ben tell her he couldn't take another table,  she asked who was working that section & he said no one... So now I'm waiting again... Ben finally reluctantly showed up to take my order. The food came out in a timely manner & was delicious. There are severe customer service issues at this restaurant.  (See my previous review) They don't seem to know the basics of the hospitality industry. Worst omelets I have ever ordered at IHOP; it contained 98% eggs and 2% meat. The absolute worst omelette ever! And the waitresses seek out confrontation with the customer. It doesn't matter if you disagree with the costumers opinion on the food (appearance & taste). Your job is to fix whatever the issue the customer is having. Not tell them there wrong. We come out for a family lunch where everyone can find something they'll appreciate. Some had breakfast. Some did salad and others went with sandwiches. I don't know if previous reviewers were in a bad mood when they came in or if they truly had a bad experience. We saw no evidence of poor food, poor service nor a lack of cleanliness. We were quickly seated, efficiently and courteously served in a pleasant atmosphere. Our table was clean with none of the sticky edges that can be common in pancake and waffle spots. Our drinks were quickly delivered and order patiently taken. Our food was brought to us quickly -still as piping hot as if it just left the grill. Portions are plentiful. Went for a late breakfast. My expectations were not high - just wanted a midday breakfast. Upon walking in - right at the front, there was a disgusting odor. When leaving I smelled it again and it smelled like wet dog. Overwhelming. Then while eating, we are hearing loud music playing with bass and other music playing from the other direction that was a different song but more tinny sounding. When I asked server about the competing noise), Lisa (who was amazing) mentioned that the louder music was coming from the kitchen, the other was regular piped into the restaurant. She offered to get them to turn it down. Also, during the entire stay, the kitchen would holler servers names that orders were up. Then, at least one server would yell very loudly (right as she's walking past customers at tables) "COMING!!!" I jumped three or four times, it scared me. Never seen anything like it. Kitchen around corner to back, not close at all. So unprofessional. Food and service were good, but not worth the stress and smell. read more

The service is quite friendly however the food.... awful. We ordered a turkey and stuffing dinner. They forgot to add the stuffing and the quality of the food is poor. This is our second attempt at The Villages IHOP, and there was no change from our first experience. I suggest going to Metro Dinner or Bob Evans. To add to my very negative review of yesterday, my wife got food poisoning from what we can only deduce was the salad.
