Service was awful. Had a hair in my food. Coffee was cold. So ashamed of my used to be favorite breakfast spot.

I like the service here. The pan cakes are good. You can choose among lot of options available. It's worth trying for pan cakes.

Easily among the top five breakfast places in Stillwater. Full stop…read more Waffles aren't the only thing on the menu, but they are absolutely the feature. Waffles made fresh at order, topped with a dizzying selection of fruits & sauces, or even just plain for all you vanilla types (like me). Make yours a breakfast platter if you wish, heaping some eggs and other proteins alongside your waffle, and when paired with their fresh coffee, you are the new Sheriff of Flavortown. The service can't be beat. Aside from the friendly suggestions for rookies (we're easy to spot), the food comes fast and fresh and your coffee cup never finds a bottom. Shoutout to Angel who steered the boy towards the Strawberry Cheese Cake waffle, all of which he destroyed in about three bites. I opted for a plain ol' waffle so I could take their syrups for a spin and that was a smart play. If you've had 'pancake syrup' and then stepped up to pure maple syrup, then you know there is no going back. Toss in their cinnamon-vanilla syrup (drool) or their silky-sweet 'Waffle Sauce' (it's almost like a thinner frosting) and you can divide a waffle into separate quadrants of different tastes. Pricing is pretty reasonable but the value outpaces the price point. Eat inside if you wish or, Oklahoma weather permitting, find a spot just out front. Just Wafflin' mixes Oklahoma nice with outstanding food with different twists to make a wonderful breakfast spot. If there were more stars to give, then I'd be using them all.

I don't believe that I have ever had a bad meal at any restaurant that had the name "Granny" in it…read more Granny's Kitchen did not disappoint. Located on the SE corner 7th and Main St. in downtown Stillwater, in a nicely remodeled brick building. Inside, the restaurant is smartly decorated in a modern décor mixed with a connection to the past. Between the tee shirts that are for sale, historical pictures and a few artifacts representing rural farm life hang on the walls. In a few areas of the walls, the original brick work is exposed, but masked with a coat of paint. The building's true age shows through the makeup. The chaotic conglomeration of bricks testify that masonry skills and craftsmanship were not required of the builder, when the original structure was erected. Building codes likely not in vogue either. A work of historical beauty. On street parking. And directly behind the restaurant, on the east side, is a parking lot. On a busy weekend parking could be a challenge. Somewhat of a tourist attraction. Souvenirs for the out of towners are prominently on display for purchase. A bar is available to help celebrate yesterday's team victory or numb the pain of defeat. Patio seating is available. Breakfast was perfect. My usual. The picture describes the food. The friendly attentive wait staff keeps your coffee cup full. What else can I say it's, "Granny's" Kitchen.

I told the server it was my first time, and she recommended a great meal and gave me a cinnamon roll. Warm and sticky. The meals are large; they said they make them large because it's a college town, and they want to give the kids leftovers. The restaurant is in the downtown area, with plenty of parking. Although the restaurant seems to be a chain, the staff and the food were excellent, so give it a shot. I would absolutely come back.

They had a sign up welcoming customers to their soft opening and asking for constructive criticism. The biggest disappointment was the calamari. It tasted like frozen onion rings. The thick batter was identical to the batter of frozen onion rings. When I bit into the first one, the calamari came out, revealing what a tiny sliver of calamari was inside the thick breading. I would definitely recommend choosing a different appetizer. I like that they have lunch specials which include eggroll, choice of rice, and choice of soup. Dan and I both got Pad Thai with shrimp, egg drop soup, and fried rice. Our grandson got lo Mein with beef, won ton soup, and fried rice. He liked his soup and entree. The egg rolls were a little greasy and we didn't get a sauce for them. We did not like the fried rice. It was dry and had an unpleasant flavor. I couldn't tell what spice I was tasting, but it seemed to belong in an Indian restaurant instead of an Asian restaurant. The dry and underdone texture added to the unpleasantness. Dan and I both love Pad Thai, but we didn't enjoy this. We ordered it around 2:00. It might have been fresher earlier. The sauce seemed too thick and a little sweet. As the sign said, this was a soft opening. I will try them again after they've been open awhile.

It never takes more than 5 minutes before the food is out, and if you're slow at finding your seat, they might as well beat you to it with your food (almost). The Chocolate Chunk cookie as also good, though it's big, and very filling. It comes quite doughy, so if you're not a fan of that, just stay away from it. There are other great things about the OSBC. OSBC also has a vast selection of premium bagels with all the toppings you can think off. Try to mix and match a little for your taste! Amongst favorites are Mile High - a good selection of meats with some tomatoes and lettuce. Veggie with extra turkey - you always get loaded up with the ingredients, and you still don't pay much extra when you add on - good mix of greens (sprouts, cucumber, carrots). And lastly: Turkey Pesto. This a good standard one, with some good turkey. As mentioned - you get loaded with ingredients. Never seen people who haven't left cream cheese that they've scraped off the bagel, so don't worry that they'll try to save money on your ingredients :)
