What is with this IHOP, ate here a lot before Covid and then it sold to new owners. I was there the first morning and it was chaos, nobody knew prices or what was going on. Went by last week to try to eat, no menus other than paper printed on plain paper, the hostess/waitress was going to wipe it off. How about making more copies, not sure you can wipe Covid off paper. Was told they had no soft drinks I decided to go somewhere else. read more

I love IHOP, I cannot lie. This one is new, looks and feels it. I was in there a week ago for breakfast, it was great. The server was an older lady, experienced and very good. Overheard her take care of a complaint at the next table, totally professional. Everyone was friendly, even the young'uns. The only negative to this location is the wonky entry from the street, I hope they remove the cement median from Wabash that extends past the drive into the restaurant. It causes you to have to do a turn around to get there and no entrance directly off Wabash makes it really inconvienent. read more

Okay... so me and my squad went here DJs a midnight snack. It started off smoothly whilst getting our waters on time however after waiting around 4 days we realized that not only were we not going to receive our food slash beverage but we were suffering severe malnourishment. Put an order in on a delivery site it said order was confirmed and being prepared. The driver arrived 15 mins after putting order in. IHOP said that it wasn't ready then we waited over an hour after putting the order in just for the food to be ready on a Monday morning read more

We usually go to the IHOP on Sunrise near Dirksen Pkwy in Springfield but decided to give this newer one a try again. My wife's first comment when I told her we were going there was " I really don't like that place because it's dirty". We arrived at 2:30 on Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was less than 1/4 full at that time of day. We were promptly seated at a table and my wife was right. Tables on both sides of us had dirty dishes and dirty floors from previous diners. I counted 5 tables around our area that were dirty. We ordered our food, it was delivered to the table in a reasonable amt of time, we ate it, and by the time we left the other tables had still not been cleaned off. We never have any problems ate the IHOP on Sunrise St. across from the Crown Plaza hotel so I guess in the future that is the one we will patronize. read more

I have to disagree. The servers on Sunrise are more polite and respectful than the ones at Wabash. At Wabash I felt like a couple of them were goofing off, cussing, and not caring about the customers around them. The food was great but thought the service was amateur. read more

Wow. Just wow. 30 mins to get Food ordered. Had to beg for silverware, when we finally got our food, one was entree was missing completely and one had a live insect crawling on the plate. I ultimately had to track the manager down three times. On a positive note, this is a new facility with clean interior. This does not however mitigate the other issues. I would definitely not recommend this particular IHOP. read more

A great alternative with excellent service while on a road trip. It is iHop, but the staff will make it stand out a bit.

My son used to take his wife and myself here every Mother's Day from 2008-2011. But just like his marriage deteriorated, so has this restaurant. I hadn't been here in a few years. I will probably never return. Our waitress was a goof. She couldn't tell shit from piss. I kept looking at the elderly couple sitting next to us wondering why she was eating and he wasn't. Come to find out, she got her food 15 minutes before his. Our food took almost an hour. My son passed the window looking for the restroom and saw our food sitting in there 20 minutes before it was served. It was cold, as in ice. My son didn't even get his fries until we were heading out the door. The waitress kept using corny apologies and giving us 20% off our bill for the trouble, but that didn't sell us the idea of ever returning. Springfield has a TON if good places for breakfast items, but this isn't one of them. read more

My husband and I are normally Denny's eaters, however on our trip to Springfield I suggest IHOP because I had a huge cravings for Crepes. My husband got a Mexican omelet, and the food was amazing. The crepe, wasn't what i thought it was, but it was still delicious. The service was amazing, and the waitress was really a sweet person. My husband and I liked it so much we went back a week later. He had the same thing, while I had French toast. I was happily surprised by my eggs, i rarely eat overeasy eggs at restaurants, as they never cook them right. However, they cook made them better than I ever could at home, nice and yoky and no uncooked parts. The service was sup-par, but the waitress was friendly and got us our food. We had gone before with a group of friends over a year ago. We did have an issue with getting our waitress to the table, I went and complained to the hostess, and we were comped with free drinks, which was nice. We stopped for a sandwich. 8:15pm. Seated and by 8:40 no one had been to our table. People came in after us, were seated and drink order taken. We got up, walked out, not one server was aware we left. I guess there is a reason there were only 2 tables occupied. Done with this place. Went down the street to Denny's. Wish I could give it a zero star review we waited for an hour for two entrées to arrive our waitress failed to inform us that that it would be an hour for our food after seeing the disappointment and agitation in our faces she finally came over and told us that the manager would be comping our meals but at that point we were already about to walk out the door. I have low expectations for IHOP but this is got to be one of the worst services in Springfield. Try harder you already lost our business read more

The food at this iHop is really good. We had a bit of a wait for our food but the place was packed so it wasn't a big deal. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. Our waitress was super nice too. In general, it's a clean place and everyone was friendly. We will be back. read more

My grandfather is in the hospital and we ran to IHOP because the cafeteria was closed and it was late (9:30ish pm). The problem was not with the waitress, she was great, maybe slightly slow, but her section was surprisingly full. THE MANAGER. This guy started to help us ring out so we could leave and go be with my grandfather, but this rude....person, I'm not even going to call him a man, childish temper and behavior, ....walked away from us and started seating a sudden stream of people. 4 TIMES he walked away. I finally said "can we get rang out so we can get back to the hospital? " He wanted to know who are waitress was and went to go get her to force her to ring us up. That was just unbelievable. It took 5 seconds!! Not to mention my grandmother's biscuits and gravy were two flat, overcooked biscuits and a thin watery gravey with NO sausage whatsoever. I'd avoid this place. To start .. There were 5 tables , at 10 at night , when we arrived and most already had their food. I had gone with my family and uncle who has Parkinson's . We waited 45 minutes for food !!! We had 2 omlets , hashbrowns , 2 eggs , stack of pancakes and bacon .... which I could've cooked at home but thought it would be nice to go out .... my uncle then had to leave with us , so they horribly packed it up , mine had the hot cheese which I asked to leave out , and we were missing hasbrowns , which we paid extra for . 38$ later !!! MOST AWFUL EXPERIENCE !! Then u I nicely call the next day , to see if we could get a refund or gift card , though we really didn't think we'd go back .. then they tell me to wait until Monday , when it happened on a Friday !! I am so thankful for the good server we had , but STAY HOME if you have the chance ! read more

It was after 8:00 at night and we were one of two tables there. It was the waitress's first night and she a fine job taking our order. But then we waited.....and waited.....and waited.... After almost 25-30 minutes waiting (we were the only table left, mind you).....after listening to the kitchen staff and waitresses yap and yap and laugh in the back.....we asked our waitress about our food. She said she didn't know and said she'd find out. She came back and said it would be a few more minutes. After waiting five more minutes, we left. And we doubt if we will be back, despite them usually having good food. They don't understand that good customer service brings in revenue which helps the business which pays their paychecks. Unhappy customers don't return, resulting in a loss of revenue and potential loss of jobs. It's that simple. So, I gave a worker an earful and we went somewhere else. read more

took 5 damn minutes to get a table and it wasn't even busy. after we were seated we gave her our orders it took over 30 to even get anything. they said they only had 1 server but there were 3 people walking around not doin shit. and the waitress was slow about everything. overall very annoying and time consuming. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Against my better judgement we took our 3 year old grandson there. It took forever to get to place our order. Waitress never comes back to check in us. Only 3 other tables are in use 7 pm on a Thursday evening. My grandsons pancakes are so tough. Hard to cut. My broccoli is raw. When waitress finally comes over I asked why my broccoli is raw. She says". The cooks are sucky at microwaving the broccoli in a bag". Unbelievable. Then I ask for a refill of my drink, 15 minutes later it arrives. I take my grandson to restroom to wash him up, it's filthy. Out of order Sign on one sink, the other was a bucket of bleach water right in front. Move it out of the way then see bleach all over the counter. I wet a paper towel to wash him up. Come out waitress still has not picked up payment. I take it to the front manager never once asks us how everything was. So busy playing on her phone. Will never go there again. Zero stars option needed here read more
