Hello all. Today I decided to let my other half treat me to breakfast. We decided to visit a local non commercial establishment and we we're definitely glad to contribute to a local small business. Let me ask you...have you ever had a breakfast appetizer? Well, today we did. Because we were hungry when we came here and the menu has so much to offer, we ordered a cinnamon roll and coffee to get us started. The cinnamon roll had a cream cheese frosting and was brought to the table warm with a side of butter. Yumm. It was really good. For our main course I ordered the lumber Jack breakfast with sausage and hash browns (no eggs for me please). The lumber Jack comes with eggs for those who like them. The other entree was the Dutch Apple Oatmeal. The oatmeal comes with bagel and cream cheese. The food was warm, plated well and tasty. I gave a rating of 4 stars because I ordered a side of bacon for nearly $4 and it was sheer and thin....crispy and tasty but too thin for my liking. A thick sliced bacon would have rendered a fifth star for sure because I am a bacon lover through and through. Our service was provided by one of the most delightful persons ever. Her name is Michelle and she is very personable, patient and attentive. When we come again we'll definitely be asking to be seated in her area. Michelle delivered our food in a very timely manner and checked in more than once. She covered the area equally and it appeared she left no one out or unattended. So if you come in, be sure to ask for Michelle by name. This was our first visit but certainly will not be our last...but when you come here come early because they close up shop at 2pm. Their hours are 7a-2p and when I say I've driven by on many occasions waiting to catch them open and I failed miserably because it was always afternoon. Today happened for us here because we found them in a Google search as we contemplated where to go...so look them up, Le Peep, local breakfast eatery. A++

The food here is excellent, very reasonably priced, and the staff is attentive. All of that is hard to beat.

Good size portions. The kids loved the chocolate chip pancakes. Lattes were nice too.

The playlist is a whole vibe. We had a few appetizers, my favorite was the risotto arancini!, followed by the charred carrots. Both were tasty! The Tandoori pig wings were decent, not my favorite. The entrees were so yummy. I would totally order the bucatini again, that was honestly the best to me, though I had the braised short ribs. They were good, but I wished I'd stuck with my first mind with the bucatini... I was worried about the pepperoni, which I tend to not care for. It was not a problem. The salmon entree is also tasty, so really you can't lose here. I felt confident that whatever was coming out would be a treat. And those beignets ... oh.my!! So tasty!! Excited to go back!

The place itself is small but super cozy. The design of the restaurant is beautiful. Very modern. Our server was great, seeing as we had a party of 13. I had the salmon and it was delicious. A lot of people in my party had the steak and also said it was good. I was a little disappointed that they only had one type of Cab wine by the glass, the rest were by the bottle. Would highly recommend for a nice date night. Definitely will be back if I'm in Springfield again.

Thankfully we still were able to get one cider, and they had a selection of other beers. The cider was tart and refreshing, and I really like the berry mocktail, which had ginger beer, and a mix of berries in it. As for food, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich came with a lot of heat which was great. I got the dry rub version, which is spicer than the saucy version. The horseshoe sandwich is a local favorite, which is an open faced sandwich with sliced bread topped with meat (we got the angus beef), fries, and cheese sauce. It was quite heavy and creamy because of all the sauce. Overall we enjoyed our meal and our server was very friendly, although service was on the slower side.

There's a limited menu at the brewery, order drinks and food at counter and pager sounds to let you know when your order is ready. There's several outdoor games, jumbo Connect Four, beanbags, etc. to keep patrons amused and occupied. My chicken Caesar wrap was fresh and tasty, quesadillas reported as good. Not a bad way to spend a warm evening. I'd like to see an alternative floor outside, mini gravel not comfy when it gets into your sandals!
