This is a clever concept, but needs better execution of the basics. We have been there three times in the last month. We were a four top and the servers were very friendly and worked very hard to serve our table. On each visit, three of us ordered the Quick breakfast plate cooked the same way and they were all prepared differently with cold scrambled eggs. Eggs Benedict was OK, but the hollandaise had an overpowering vinegar taste. Also charged $3 for two teaspoons of extra hollandaise without being told in advance. I really wish them well, but believe more attention to detail in the kitchen is needed. read more

A miserable experience. Arrived in the middle of the afternoon. I.H.O.P./Applebees was nearly empty. There was no employee to greet me, and it would be several minutes before one appeared. Got seated and since I knew what I wanted I ordered immediately. Including me there were 4 customers in the dining room. Asked for my usual, 2+2+2, sausage and eggs over hard. What came to my table was 6 or 8 sausages and the eggs. No pancakes. Employee said it would take about 3 minutes to get the correct order to me. When it came I suspect the eggs were the same ones, barely warm. No utensils. Had to ask for fork etc. and the response was like I was asking for something extra. The sausages must have been from a new vendor, I did not finish them. No one came to check on me, would have liked to have my ice water refilled. Gave up on having my check brought. Went up front and paid, and left. I don't go there often, and now I see no reason to return. read more

While waiting for 15 minutes two different servers said they would be right with us, and they are not that busy, I now understand why... wife and I ordered Eggs Benedict and pancakes, after another 15 minutes our food arrived. Our simple meal was close to $50. Daughter orders a shortstack pancake with strawberries, and a milkshake. I ordered the sampler with a tea. Service was slow. The food came out cold. We ate, didn't finish it paid and left. I felt sick while in the parking lot. Not a great experience. I don't think we will be back. It takes a lot to write a crappy review. Applebee's/iHop Regina, Saskatchewan the first time we went service was good and food good as well. the second time we went, we treated our kids and grandkids. service was terrible, food from the Applebee's side was awful. CJ, our waiter, never came around for a follow-up to ask us how everything was. The first time everything was good as we only ordered from the iHop menu, but never again will we order from Applebee's. I only complained when they brought us the bill and gave us a $10 adjustment. Been wanting to do here for a while since they did the renovation. It almost didn't work out since they could only take cash at the time but luckily the nearby gas station had an atm. Our server was never nice and attentive. I order an omelette off the house faves menu and my husband had the all you can eat shrimp and chicken tenders. Overall the food was decent you can't really go wrong with pancakes but my husband found his food bland. Places is a cool concept, definitely could use some music playing to jazz up the atmosphere. Wanted to try this place out see how the new format works with the new combination. The food I had was good, a hamburger, it was cooked well just the right amount of flavor. Did have a problem with one of our orders but one of the managers came in quickly and handled the situation and bringing a new order. That type of service is very important in keeping your customers happy. That was greatly appreciated. Even though it was kind of packed the service was good. I went here this morning worth my sister and her family and my kids. First off I understand it was a busy Sunday, but the service was horrible. We were seated by the host, then our supposed waitress introduced herself then we didn't see her again until she gave us the check. We got our drinks ordered by some random man. We didn't get drinks until 30 minutes later, we waited forever, then we didn't get silverware, we didn't have sugar. 2.5/5 - Beautiful New Location, But Poorly Staffed (Shoutout to Asia!) This new IHOP/Applebee's in Seguin is a very clean and bright spot visually, it's a nice upgrade for the area. But unfortunately, the service and overall experience didn't live up to the look. Our food took a long time to arrive, and we were told there were only two cooks working in the kitchen. On top of that, the food presentation was sad it looked rushed and sloppy, like it had just been thrown on the plate with no care. Definitely not what you'd expect from a brand-new location. The most frustrating part was seeing most of the staff just standing around on their phones while only one person Asia was doing all the work. She's pregnant and was still handling almost the entire restaurant by herself, running from table to table, taking orders, delivering food, and checking in on everyone. At one point, she was literally catching her breath from all the walking, and yet she stayed kind, professional, and on top of everything. We gave her a very generous tip because she 100% earned it. Asia was the one bright spot in the whole experience. She deserves serious recognition for her hard work, and management needs to step up and support her by properly staffing and training the rest of the team. read more

I have eaten at IHOP for too many years to mention. Let me say that I have never had a bad experience until I went to the IHOP in Seguin as soon as I moved here. the 1st time my food was cold, the second time my turkey bacon was not made to my liking even though I made it very clear that I want made well done, I left it behind. The third time I wanted to give it the benefit of doubt thinking they were having bad day. I order lunch and it was horrible. This weekend I had to get up early to do fasting blood work. since it was about 6 months since i went, I thought I give it another try, my mistake. I always order the same thing and this time i was charged 2.99 for my turkey bacon. while waiting to check out, I went on the website and processed a order to go, ordering the same thing and the website did NOT do an upcharge which is what the manager told me was always done. I hate being treated like I am a fool. if I could give them a no stars I would. watch you receipts, they add charges that are. it to be charged. read more

19 customers, 5 workers on the floor 2:30 pm.. we're waiting for our order. near us a custome's grandchild knocks over a drink. it happens. the grandmother has her mother & 2 little granddaughters. she's trying to clean them , the table & the floor with napkins, all the wait staff is in the kitchen. as soon as 1 comes out I get up & tell her what happened, she immediately as I started talking tries to tell me it's not her table I told her I know but someone needs to go help them, the drink & ice we're in the aisle & across the room. The customer cleaned it up as best she could & they got their food & left. No one ever came out to clean that up or put a wet floor sign out. We left 1 1/2 hrs later. Does the wait staff have to cook their orders? They all leave the floor for long periods of time several times we've been there. IHOP could have learned how to treat customers from Applebees. read more

We ate well here was 60$ with 8$ tip, but the waiter Manuel is awesome as always, never misses filling drinks or bringing food and condiments. Beef sirloin tips for my gro son w hash browns and pancakes. Grandkids got blueberry and chocolate pancakes with eggs and bacon. I got spinach mushroom omelet with pancakes and a order of hash browns all of it was really good. Seems as if he's the waiter we can go here without issue if not it's hit and miss. Waited a whole hour for food when it wasn't busy. Never got our food. Anita was attempting to be our server and kept forgetting about us, and running around laughing about it. Previously when I've been here, food was always cold. We walked out without eating, and waitresses asked what happened. They guessed it was Anita before I even said it. Then they said if we sat back down we could be helped in 5 minutes, which is funny since we watched multiple other parties had gotten up and left as well. Instead of stopping at Magnolia Pancake Haus, we hit the road to make the Mentz Church Pucnic. We stopped at IHOP, and to our surprise, got the same waiter we had last time! Found out his name is Manuel! His service both times was absolutely fantastic. Concerned about your comfort and making sure your order is perfect! He's an older guy that really works hard! First off, the old reviews are not relevant after today! Our food was absolutely delicious, the service was equally amazing! I have to admit, the smell of the women's restroom was similar to mildew old mop water. It was very quiet, not busy. We had to wait a bit for the food, but we had a party of 6! The food came out nice and hot, presentation was a 10! The taste was exquisite, especially the hash browns within my "build your own omelet" omelet. The bacon had a bit of crisp to it as well. My Sweetheart and I decided to stop in for a late lunch before going grocery shopping. We got there just before 1pm and ordered a Bacon burger plate and a biscuit and gravy plate..nothing fancy. We were there over an hour and never got our food. And only saw our server once after we ordered. The fellow at the table next to us was the only one at his table that didn't get his food (pancakes) he finally asked to see the manager and pointed out that we hadn't been served yet either. The manager said that one of their screens went down and it put them behind... look I understand technical issues but to leave us waiting and not communicating with us was quite ridiculous. Against our better judgment and because it's so late we opted to come here. I ordered the chicken biscuit plate and it surprisingly came out looking quite similar to the picture. I couldn't tell you how it tasted as I was cutting it in half and found a long brown hair (my hair is long but blonde) literally stuck in the sandwich. Food was subpar. Ordered a simple burger for my son, plain with just meat and bun. They brought the burger with cheese. The guy had it fixed. The big issue is that their IHOP doesn't do the kids eat free like it says on the website between 4 and 10pm. Then the guy charged us two meals for my son instead of one. He stated Mac and cheese could not be rang up as a side. He didn't bother to tell us this when ordering no did he fix it. The place was empty and the employees had no motivation to work. The place was not super clean so it smelled of a dirty dish rag. The guy cleaning a table next to us was using a brown paper towel to clean the table with no cleaner. I will keep it short and sweet. The service was friendly but extremely slow. It took us over an hour to get our food. It was around 6pm and the restaurant was adequately staffed which is rare these days. After taking over an hour to bring us bacon, eggs and hashbrowns with pancakes our food arrived burnt. If your the International House of Pancakes you should at least be able to cook a pancake. SMH read more

Then I also have the app to redeem rewards which I tried to do and he said it wasn't passing by and he couldn't do anything and to call tomorrow ? My husband and I woke up early to have a breakfast from 'iHop' like we remembered. It was horrible. EVERYTHING at best was luke warm. Pancakes COLD, SAUSAGE COLD A-N-D omg the hash browns were baked like a cake and cut into squares. The cost for the two of us was OUTRAGEOUS! Drive to another town for hopes of MAYBE a better experience!
