I stopped into IHOP last night for the free short stack promotion. Free pancakes? I'm there! It was a great deal. The servers had a great attitude and were doing everything they could to take care of their tables. Unfortunately there were only three servers taking care of many tables all wanting their free pancakes. The pancakes and the breakfast plate I got were excellent, definitely glad I went. I just want to start by saying Nico was the best server we have ever had here. We have been hesitant to come back after the shut down and reopening but we came in at night to eat and it was the best service and food we have had at this location. Everything was made perfect! This place was closed for renovation and has now reopened. I received a gift card in the mail to use, so when I didn't feel like cooking, I decided to try this place out again, despite my previous poor experiences. I hoped new management might mean improvements, but I don't think anything has changed. I went later in the evening, and the service was rather slow. Upon walking in, I noticed several parties seated throughout the dining area. It appeared that there was only one server working. She tried her best and was clearly overworked due to a staffing shortage. There was an employee, who appeared to be a manager (they were wearing a name tag and business professional attire), sitting on the bench near the register the entire time I was there. This employee was chatting with another individual seated next to them. I wanted to try the tomato basil soup but was shocked by the price. The server said it was rather good but agreed that it was not a good value because of the portion size. That was good to know. I ordered my usual sandwich, the Cali Roasted Turkey Melt, without mayo. When the sandwich arrived, it was served on untoasted bread, there was no avocado as described on the menu, and it had barely any turkey. I was highly disappointed. I didn't want to complain because I had already waited over 40 minutes for my food and didn't want to cause my server any additional stress, especially since the preparation of the food was not her fault. When I went to the register to pay my bill, the same employee was still sitting there chatting; completely unprofessional! If they were on break or off duty, I think they should have gone elsewhere. The impression I got was that an available employee was sitting around doing nothing while the server was struggling with her duties. I think the slow service was due to a large number of take-out orders. Overall, I think the restaurant was understaffed. read more

We came in for dinner. They had a few patrons dining when we arrived. We waited a few minutes and finally we were seated. We scanned the QR code taped to the table with our cell phone to acquire the menu. The server took our drink order and scurried off. It appeared that only two servers were attending to the entire restaurant. They had no dedicated cashier or hostess. The two servers were doing it all. We placed our food order and waited a reasonable amount of time for it come out. Our server did the best she could to keep up. The food quality was good. Our orders were correct. The food was warm. It was what you've come to expect from Ihop. The portion sizes were good. We had no problems with the food. The restaurant appeared clean. They post a 96.0 sanitation grade above the register. The cook on staff that night was so good, probably by themselves...everything came out so fluffy and carefully put together. We have had a very rough time with restaurants and food services in North Carolina as my family is here for an event. Our expectations were low for our final food stop but we were pleasantly surprised! Our waiter attended the 7 of us attentively and we all received our food quickly. All of our orders came out perfect and delicious. She also took the time to seperate our orders in the check so it was easier for us to divide. Never had service this bad--they literally stole my money! The restaurant was not terribly busy and I saw plenty of staff. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen but I'm sure the waiter gave the table behind me my food. My husband got his food 15 minutes before me and was done eating by the time I got my bacon and eggs. The hash browns were both burnt and cold and soggy in the middle. I ordered specialty pancakes. They were out of the sauce to make them which I understand, but rather than asking if I would like something else they just brought me plain pancakes. Thank goodness we didn't pay for drinks, just water, because over the course of waiting I asked for a refill several times and never got it. We also never got napkins. We ended up being there an hour and a half--and trust me! With my husband sitting there just watching me eat, more than ready to go, I wasn't taking my time. The next day when I checked my bank account, somehow my $30 bill (which was still much to much for our service and what we got!) somehow became $110.00!!! I've worked in food service. I know someone had to manually adjust the bill. This was not a mistake. Safe to say I will never be returning here and I will be disputing the charge with my bank. I went to IHOP last night around midnight. My husband had to work late so we decided to go out for a late dinner. We were greeted by James (he never introduced himself and didn't wear a name tag but other staff called him James) and Dani. James volunteered to take my table and the couple behind us. James took our drink order. While he was gone, I was looking over the 'specials' menu and reading a few to my husband as he was browsing over the main menu. As soon as James came back with our drinks, he snatched the special menu and hastily put it back on the end of the table. He asked if we were ready to order, then sorta snorted when we said no. He came back from the kitchen area to see if we were ready to order. We were and we did. However, James paid no attention to my empty glass of tea. I might add here that James only has 2 tables and there were only 5 tables in use at this time. James vanished into thin air. Eventually, my husband got Dani's attention for a refill of tea. Where was James, you might ask? He was out front on a smoke break. Eventually, James came back in and went into the rest room. When he finally came out, he went to the kitchen, then brought us our food. My omelette was cold on the ends and my husband's fries were cold. Whatever...we were starving!! All in all, the food was good; as good as it gets for IHOP. No complaints there. However, our server James, continued to be lax on drink refills and condiments. My husband had to get up to search for extra napkins. We thought our only issue was James but we were wrong. Checking out, the manager and another employee were taking refuge at the checkout counter. I don't remember what they were discussing but it obviously took president over the customers in front of them. The only time we were spoken to was when we were told our total, to ask if the card was debit or credit, and a signature was requested. Beyond that, the chatter between the two of them was nonstop. I get it, you know? It's IHOP after midnight. I didn't expect excellent customer service. I did, however, expect refills and hot food. I expected the manager, at minimum, would greet us and ask how things were. read more

Always a positive experience. The Manager is very hands on and I'm always impressed by her interaction with the staff and customers. The service industry has such high turnover and it's so hard to find positive upbeat staff, but I'm never disappointed by the service at this IHOP. This location was recently renovated as well. The only downside is that it is much more pricey than the local breakfast establishments in town. read more

To start off, I work as a server at another restaurant, so I understand that sometimes things are out of the servers control. However, I think this is the worse experience I've ever had. Our server didn't even tell us her name, and after she got our drinks and order, she was gone. She didn't check up on us once. The food took over 30 minutes, which I understand is not the servers fault, but at least an apology from her would have been nice. She brought out our food. Asked if it looked ok, and then we never saw her again after that! I wanted extra gravy for my sausage and biscuits but she never followed up to make sure everything was okay so I never got the chance to ask. We finished our food, and still nothing. We sat there for about 15 minutes waiting to see if she would check up on us, or if a manager would say something. I finally asked a manager for our check, and then she led us up to the cash register. It then took a while to locate our check, as our server never even introduced herself, so they had a hard time finding us. We also placed a Togo order when she put our food down, and it has taken over 40 minutes. This is absolutely unacceptable, and I don't understand how it could have been that hard to just check up on us at least once. The chances of us coming back to this location is now very slim. I've tried to give this IHOP a chance again and again but it's just very disappointing. If I could give this store no stars I would. read more

Finally food comes out crepes have no cream, Only strawberries, asked for grilled chicken sandwich on toast and got a bun and chicken had ABSOLUTELY NO seasoning. Hash browns were cold. Got another sandwich and majority of it was only bread and they put pickles instead of jalapeños. Asked waitress for sauces she never brought them had to get up and get my self except the ranch and when she got to table after bringing us another late item we ordered never brought ranch! I really thought I'd be at about a 3 star for this place, but it's a solid 4 star! There was plenty of parking, easy to get to and no waiting to be seated. The place was clean, selection typical, prices were good, and speed of service was really good. We had arrived VERY early on a Sunday morning for Breakfast. We waited 10 minutes and had to flag the waitress down to take our order. Food finally arrived and was just ok- except eggs were overcooked and we didn't have time to request better. There was an argument taking place in the back which drew our attention. As there were only maybe 4 tables being used at the time there really was no excuse for the poor service.
