We arrived at IHOP on Tuesday at 11am. There was no host insight. Two other groups were waiting to be seated. The manager arrived and helped the two other groups to their table. Once we were seated, the waiter took our drink order quickly. He was very polite and courteous. In the meantime, the manager was assisting other customers and checking in on them. We put our order in and as we waited a family arrived. That family was seated quickly, but after 15 minutes, none of the waitresses took their drink order. The manager noticed and took the coffee order for them. We waited 45 minutes for our food, only to return it back because the quality was not up to part. The manager was very polite and understanding when handling our order and offered to change our order. On top of that he was handling other customers' inquiries. The couple who arrived at the same time as us, also waited 45 minutes for their food, the couple that was already seated before we arrived got their food after us. The family who arrived after we did waited an hour for the food to finally arrive. Our waiter and manager were attentive and took care of us. Therefore, I think they deserve 2 stars. I just wish that the rest of the wait staff could be a bit more attentive with the customers they served and work more quickly as team. The wait for us and all the other customers was far too long for a Tuesday late morning . I can't imagine how the weekend looks like. Props to the manager, Josh, for stepping up and picking up the slack . We could see the stress In his face, but he still managed to remain calm, quick and friendly. Absolutely awful service. I would expect that if there was one waiter on the floor and the other was "running late," that the manager on duty would come out to help out. Nope. There was one waiter and we sat for over 10 minutes before he even looked our way. When the "help" arrived, I was hopeful, but even so, we gave him our drink order and over 15 minutes and still not even a water. The only reason we didn't walk out is because my kids really wanted the Grinch pancakes. If it wasn't for that, I would not have spent a cent in this dump. read more

This was the first time I had visited this restaurant since it had opened recently. I must say that I was very happy that IHOP had located near my home. When my family and I arrived there were no other customers in the entire restaurant which we thought would be a plus. Needless to say the service was subpar, The waitress appeared to be unclean and disheveled, the food was cold, and was not accurately prepared the way we ordered it and unfortunately the tables and the floors were dirty as well. I was thoroughly disappointed and embarrassed to have suggested we eat lunch there. read more

My wife and I stopped in today around 1:00 PM. The table next to us had their meal given free because it came so late. Our food took so long we had to leave without being served so my wife could make it to work. After several months of being in business it seems they still don't have it together. read more

the service was terrible. the food was wayyyyyyy to greasy and pancakes were tough. our server gave us the wrong amount back and took a couple dollars from us, then said she didnt have a couple dollars to give us back. the manager was cooking so we just left. just a bad experience. the one in sugarland is worth the drive read more

We had the worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant here. Our food never came out after an hour and a half, one manager was telling us that there was a fire in the kitchen--which was a complete lie (our server told us), and the other manager was so rude whenever we asked about how much longer our food would be. The old woman manager was screaming at her staff so loud in the middle of the restaurant saying "stop yelling me name from across the restaurant!" It was seriously the craziest thing ever. After being lied to and being talked down to we had to leave after an hour because we decided they didn't need our business. The only good thing was our waiter Selvia, she was so sweet and understanding the whole time. I hope she gets a better job soon! Don't go here read more

if i could give it zero stars i would. took 30 minutes to get 2 drinks when the employees were standing around talking to each other and goofing off. i had to go up to the employees and ask for our drinks, of course the person forgot. meanwhile there was nobody in the restaurant! we sat for another 45 minutes waiting on our food when finally i just had them put it in to go containers. asked for a small to go container for flavored syrup, and of course i shouldn't have because that took 10 minutes as well. ridiculous and unprofessional. i'm a server myself and i personally would be fired if i ever let a table wait that long for anything. i could understand if the place was packed but it wasn't. if you're wanting ihop just take the extra 10 minute drive to sugarland and save yourself the trouble. read more

this place here is so bad they take so long in getting a table for you when there's many available....they also take long to bring you the food and don't clean up right away ...a couple left about 1 hour ago and their food is still here I like ihop but not the service here at this location read more

Agree with the post above not worth a star. Went on a Monday around 10am, the place was not busy at all and waited a while for our breakfast to be served. After having to wait, the food was cold and the eggs were burned and the vegetables overcooked. Manager came by the table and asked how was the food, I shared with him that my eggs were overcooked. His response was that they wanted to make sure that nothing was left alive and walked off. Never again will I visit this location. I hope that this manager gets training on how to treat customers. read more

I visited IHOP this morning with my family. The service was horrible. The food took forever to come out and when it did it was cold. We had to send our food back. The waitress which is Brianna was rude, lazy and should have stayed home today. I told the manager how I was unhappy and how I wasn't pleased with the service and he really didn't do any better. If I could I would give this restaurant O stars. Yes they are new but nobody is trained I would prefer coming to this place maybe 3 or 4 months after it has been open. Waitress was not professional food took a long time because they only have " 3 cooks " waitress came back and informed us after we been waiting for a while didn't ask if we needed a refill or anything. Then she came back again and told me that me & my bf food been ready they was just waiting on my mom food to be done we finally got our food 15mins later which was cold still no refill SMH! Waitress only came back to give us our check & left again ! do not go here guys manger was nowhere to be found , besides a manger walking around checking on customers a waitress was walking around asking customers are we ok , & did we get our food just checking on everyone!!! I found the staff very friendly and concerned about my satisfaction. Although this is not "Tony's" (in Houston) as it appears some expect, I found that the whole staff was trying to make the customers happy and satisfied. The food was better than I expected (after reading some reviews by supposedly food experts) and it was well worth my time. I have eaten at some highly rated restaurants around midnight or later in Houston which I found did not live up to their reputations, probably because of the lateness of the time. read more

Came here today for late breakfast with my daughter. We were seated fairly quickly. Several other customers but also lots of empty tables, several of which were still dirty with empty plates. Our waitress Bianca was very nice and busy. But it over an HOUR to get our food. I ordered the sampler-scrambled eggs, bacon sausage, ham and hash browns with side of 2 pancakes. First eggs were fluorescent yellow, hard but didn't taste too bad (note at this point I was starved). The two tiny pieces of ham and two tiny sausage links were room temperature and super salty. The bacon, room temperature but not too bad. The hash browns were off-white on one side and really dark, almost but not quite burnt on the other side. Basically only cooked in one side. The two pancakes were really dark brown-again almost burnt but not quite but definitely cold. The tiny dab of butter on top didn't even melt. The only good thing here was the nice and well-mannered waitress. Sadly she asked that I hand her the tip instead of leaving it on the table because apparently people take tips from other tables. I will not be coming back. It should not take over an hour to cook scrambled eggs, pancakes, hash browns, sausage and bacon. Other Yelpers have been right about this IHOP. TERRIBLE! If I could give zero stars I would. I was really rooting for this location, after horrible service in the Sugarland location I was very excited when I heard this location was opening up. We first got there and there was one server in the front we waited about five minutes she didn't even look at us to seat us, then I'm guessing one of the managers saw how we were waiting and seated us right away. That server by the name Shalyn ended up helping us that night. We waited about 10 minutes for straws after she told us she would bring them and finally some other server brought them to us, this server in particular was more helpful than she was!! He brought us refills the whole night while she didn't even bother looking at us, she was horrible! I gave her 0 tip and the next day I see on my checking account she tipped herself TEN dollars thinking I wouldn't see it!! I then went to the location and spoke to one of the managers, supposively Shalyn had been tipping herself that night from other customers and was no long with them. They said the General Manager would reach out to me and refund me but I have yet to receive any phone call after calling twice already and leaving my number. It's been a week and nothing has been done. Never eating at this IHOP location ever again, I'll stick to the Sugarland location that is slightly better. read more
