Chicken breakfast sandwich and build your own omelet
Jake S.

Came in right before valentines day and had Jordan taking care of us. Super attentive and overall a great experience. Food was average but you got alot of it. Not the biggest fan of their gravy, which was atop my chicken sandwich. They definitely make sawmill styled gravy. The fries went great with their honey mustard. Build your own omelet is great and customizable. It was massive and even came with a side which we chose a stack of pancakes.

I began this review the day I took my grandkids, but it didn't save... :/ Let me just say that normally I don't review chains, because ... well ... chains. But this IHOP is just little bit better than others I've visited, and we had such a nice time I just had to tell. I brought the kiddos after swim practice around 0930 on a Wednesday morning. We were immediately greeted and seated by a smiling employee. Nice. Our waitress, Jade, was obviously someone who likes kids (or does a great job of pretending, lol) because both of them actually spoke to her! They are usually very shy about talking to waitstaff and have their grownups order for them. But on this occasion, both felt comfortable giving their order to her. She joked with them a little, gently. She paid attention and really listened when they spoke. So my vote is, Jade likes kids! ;) IHOP is predictable ... except not this time. My grandson wanted just one pancake - OK, two - with a side of whipped cream. And believe it or not, she brought him a cereal bowl that was full of whipped cream! Tell me you will get that at another IHOP?!? It was far more than he needed, but the point is, they were so accommodating. I had breakfast - usually I don't, but was famished for some reason - and it was cooked perfectly. My DGD's bacon was "limp", as she likes it. Mine was really crispy, as I like it! Overall, if this place wasn't a bit far from home, I would probably go with the kids a couple of times a month!

Hmmm... I think they might've pulled one of these out of the trash

Literally the worst service and food I've ever received from Ihop. How do you get old dry ass French toast that has absolutely no flavor? How did you get two different color pancakes? The place is dirty and questionable. They don't even have people working upfront. Management needs to get on this.

We went there with some family who were visiting from Washington State. The server was great, she did let me run out of coffee once, but after teasing her about it she kept me full. Lol. The food took a very long time. The manager finally came over and apologized. She said that most of the kitchen staff walked out on her. We didn't ask why, none of our business, but she did give us a 50% discount on the meal. On the bright side, the slow food gave us time to catch up. All in all it was a great meal and I would be willing to go back again.

Went on a Sunday right before the church crowd and the place was busy. Looked to be severely short staffed, but our waiter was pretty nice. Food was mediocre, but to be expected. The clientele for this area is "interesting". Menu does have gluten free options that satisfy my celiac girlfriend.

My only feedback is that the wonderful bread that is served with the crab dip is not enough for the amount of crab dip that you get. My fiancé and I have supported this local spot for years. It used to be a reliable go-to. But over time, something shifted--and now I know exactly what it is: the cook, Laura. On 11/28, I ordered steak and eggs. What I was served was not just unappetizing--it was dangerous. The steak smelled rancid, oozed a grayish liquid, and had visible discoloration. We flagged it immediately. Today, we returned to follow up and were horrified to learn that Laura had been explicitly told not to use those steaks because they were spoiled--and she served them anyway. Let that sink in. Why wasn't the meat discarded? Why did she knowingly serve it? Is she untrained, negligent, or something worse? And more importantly--why is she still employed? This isn't an isolated incident. Months ago, I stopped in for a quick lunch and became violently ill within the hour. I had to pull over to vomit and missed an important business meeting. I suspected something was off then, and from that point on, I would call ahead to make sure Laura wasn't cooking. Recently, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. That was a mistake. There's a level of disregard here that feels personal. When I asked to speak with her after learning about the spoiled meat, the staff refused and smirked like it was a joke. It's not. This could have led to hospitalization--or worse. This is a public health issue. Laura's actions were reckless, and the restaurant's failure to act is inexcusable. I'm mortified, furious, and deeply disappointed. Willy's was once a place I proudly supported. Now, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Until there's accountability, I won't be back--and I urge others to think twice before risking their health here.

My server, Travis, was very friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right throughout my visit. I started with a cup of French onion soup, and it was so good that I came back today just to order another cup. That alone says a lot. Yesterday I also ordered the Eldersburg Burger, cooked medium-well, paired with their hand-cut fries. This burger was juicy and flavorful--honestly tasted like something you'd get at a family cookout. The fries were delicious and complemented the burger perfectly. I also have to mention the sweet iced tea--it tastes fresh-brewed and has the perfect balance of sweetness. Today, even though I wasn't very hungry, I tried the crab dip. While it wasn't my absolute favorite, it was still good. I also sampled the carrot cake, which unfortunately was a bit dry for my liking. That said, I'll definitely be back--especially on Mondays, when burgers are $8 (with toppings at $1 each, and totally worth it). My server today also let me know about Wing Wednesday: 1 lb of wings for $8, any flavor. Say less! I'm already planning another visit so I can finally try the cream of crab soup, which is made daily. Can't wait to see if it lives up to the hype. Overall, Oscar's Alehouse delivers solid food, great service, and awesome weekly specials. See you soon!

But honestly, we thought it became too expensive over the years (maybe I'm just getting old). With that said, I sat at the bar (service was excellent), and ordered the 16 ounce prime rib, $55, with a Caesar salad and sweet potato, and mozzarella cheese sticks to start (~$10). I ordered a tea to drink, but requested a beer (~$8)with the steak. Total bill was ~$80. The prime rib was ordered and delivered medium rare, and was by far one of the best steaks I've had in probably three years. It honestly could've been cut with just the fork, no knife required, and was well seasoned. The sweet potato mash was well seasoned, without being over seasoned. And the Caesar salad was super crisp, and I happen to like creamy Caesar dressing. The mozzarella cheese sticks look like they're hand dipped (not sure) and very good. And delivered with extra marinara per request. The bartender even remembered to pour the Sam's seasonal beer (winter something, it was not the typical winter lager which i like as well) when the steak was delivered. I did not have to ask. That was really nice. Also, I did not have to ask for a refill on the tea, it just magically appeared. Plus, the appetizer, the salad, and the steak, we're all delivered at the right timing intervals. I did not feel rushed, nor do I have to wait. So, was it expensive? Maybe a little bit. But the service made up for it, and that's all the difference.

In fairness, the place was busy but that also is typical on a Sunday around noon. We had a party of 5 and had to wait approximately 20-30 minutes to be seated. We received our coffee and waters however there were no spoons in our napkin of silverware so we had to use knives to stir in the creamer and sugar for the coffee. The waitress also brought a drinking cup full of half-n-half to the table for us to use in our coffee. This made quite a mess since pouring from a drinking cup resulted in drips and spillage onto the table. It was busy so we could not get the attention of anyone to ask for spoons after we realized they were not in the napkins. Jokes of course ensued about whether we were to use our fingers to stir our hot coffee. Later, when our entree's arrived, they had put 2 separate orders onto one plate and even though we requested fruit on the side for our french toast, the fruit was on top of the toast. These were all little, irritating things which combined made the dining experience memorable but for the wrong reasons.

You can tell people really like this place. Lots of options on the menu. I went with the classic Eggs Benedict, which here comes with an interesting twist -- they add cheddar cheese. That was new to me. My daughter ordered the Belgian waffle with sausage. They didn't ask patty or link, so we rolled the dice -- it came as links, and she wasted no time eating them. The waffle filled her up quickly. Fresh blueberries on top, crispy on the outside, airy on the inside, and sweet in all the right ways. When my Eggs Benedict arrived, it looked a little small at first and the potatoes barely filled the plate. But don't let that fool you. What a flavor. What a presentation. The hollandaise was perfect -- thick enough that it barely dripped off the muffins. Once the creamy yolk broke and mixed into that sauce, it was game over. The cheddar addition actually works, giving the whole dish another layer of richness. This is top-tier classic Benedict. Coffee was solid, the atmosphere cozy, and the pricing surprised me in a good way. My daughter's meal was $5.99, with only a $0.75 upcharge for juice, which is hard to beat these days. Good service, good food, and a comfortable place to sit down and eat. We'll definitely be back!!!
