The 5 Guys location in Gambrills was a really great experience. The customer service was excellent and the interior was spotless. They appear to clean the tables down immediately after those who dine in are finished. Even the condiment area was clean and well stocked. We ordered various types of burgers and beef hot dogs (requested well done), and the food, including the fries was delicious. I'd definitely recommend this place. We have been to a number of Five Guys in the DMV and this is one of the better ones. The restaurant layout, condition and cleanliness is superior compared to others. Burgers were delicious as always. The fries are great too but a little greasy. We just love that they still provide free shelled peanuts. Not many places offer perks like this these days l. The prices for burgers like everywhere else really seemed to have gone up. ( like 20% or more the last few years ) . We only waited about 5-10 minutes for our burgers with a light crowd on a Thursday night. Not a bad quick lunch or dinner when u are on the run like we were. read more

Standard five guys fare, which is what you expect! The guys and girls up front working and in the back always have big smiles whenever I come by, which makes me feel welcome and invited. Don't forget the free peanuts by the wall towards the road while you wait for your food. Clean bathrooms and dining spaces, no frills service. Food is always great and just like I like it, custom to my tastes. They participate in Uber Eats as well so you can pick up! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would for the service alone. I went here with my mom recently and the original person taking my order was nice and friendly. He had to call his manager over and when he did, his manager was extremely rude for no reason at all. He re-rang our orders, got them wrong, and when we asked about it when the food came out later, he was extremely rude and told us we would have to repay for the food. We asked for a refund so we could eat elsewhere and he only wanted to give us a partial refund even though no food was consumed. When asking for the full amount back, he pulled out money from his pocket and threw it at us and said he was the manager so good luck to me complaining since he was in charge. It was extremely rude and disrespectful, especially when we were just trying to enjoy a quick meal together. I will not be supporting this location in the future. read more

Do NOT order through GrubHub over the Yelp app! I ordered a hot dog and milkshake. Originally it was supposed to be super quick and only take 20 minutes. Then they updated the order to say it would be over an hour before they would deliver. But who knows when it was actually delivered. I have my settings in contactless delivery, but I did not receive an email, a text or a phone call to let me know when the food was delivered. I called 5 guys after an hour and 15 minutes passed and they said they had the order out over an hour ago. Then I called GrubHub and they said the order had been delivered. I did find the order at my door, but it had been so long since it was delivered I had a cold hot dog and a melted shake. GrubHub apologized for the 'inconvenience' and said they would take off the cost of my shake, but not the cold hot dog. So after service fees, delivery fees and tip I ended up paying $16 for a cold hot dog. Guess I can't really blame this on 5guys.... I really like their food. We all know Five Guys. We all love Five Guys (right?). This is a standard Five Guys as Five Guys go... but I have to say, I've never had a bad meal or bad experience here. I don't know if they 'moved' from the previous location up the street or if this is just a brand new location, but it's got a great spot right between North and Sound route 3. So, it's easy to get to first of all. The staff is always pretty friendly and very helpful, so no complaints there. They are keeping things very safe during COVID, including masks, gloves, limited seating, and other measures. But most of all, they have not compromised on two things: quality and quantity! You know the score by now. You order one size of fries and you end up with at least double the actual cup size you requested. Far from a fault, it's definitely a quirk we have come to expect and love. It would be one thing if they were mediocre fries, but they might be the best in the burger business! Being a Maryland native, I dig the boardwalk-style fries completely. These are spot on to that style and high bar every single time! The burgers... well... what more can I say about them? Fresh-never-frozen beef, and a score of toppings that you can choose from. You make the best combo yourself. Again though, it would be easy to skimp on the vegetation, but far from sub-standard here. The fresh veg are super fresh and crisp. Like, I don't ever hesitate ordering tomatoes here because I know I'm not going to get tomato mush on my burger. My 80 year old mom put her purse down at this Five Guys location and it went missing with $500 she planned to use for Xmas shopping. Upon inquiring, the manager said he is not required by law to have security cameras. Anyone could have taken it, staff, another customer. Visible cameras are a deterrent! So much for caring about your customers and their safety. We filed a police report but could do nothing else. Please install cameras before something worse happens!!! read more

This location is the cleanest and most consistent Five Guys we've ever visited in our lives. The staff are super friendly and tentative. There is always someone tidying up and wiping things down. I wouldn't return to this location. Nothing about this location was the taste of the Five Guys I'd come to love over the years. My little bacon cheeseburger was undercooked-- hella pink inside (all Five Guys burgers are supposed to be well done), it was over saturated and soggy with ketchup & mustard, I asked for grilled onions and got raw, the soda machine cartridges needed to be changed... all the soda was carbonated water-- yuck. I asked them to change it and one employee was opening the cabinet and pressing buttons but nothing changed....still spewing majority of carbonated water - yuck. Oh and the fries-- yep, even those were just not good. This was my first experience at this location and definitely my last. I'd like to add that the location appeared clean. read more

Visiting this five guys location was such a pleasant experience! Yes, the food was good (it's always good, I've never had a bad five guys burger). But the staff at this location is absolutely wonderful! Someone greeted me as I came in, and started my order right away. As my order was being taken, the person at the register instructed the folks cooking, and my food was in-progress before I had even paid. Everyone was so friendly, and I could tell every staff member was smiling behind their masks. The whole place was literally nothing but good vibes. My food came up quickly, and was great (as always).
