I was fine with waiting 20 minutes to be seated. We were finally sat at a nice booth in the back and we sat there for over 15 minutes until I finally got tired of waiting. I am a diabetic and needed to eat lunch. But a lass our server never even bothered to come say anything to us not drink order and silverware nothing. Me and two other people went here and I was very upset our spoons were dirty not a very nice waitress.and our food was not good at all.

I went to this IHOP and was extremely displeased I ordered and omelette with green peppers and onions, with American cheese. When I received my order the omelette clearly had sliced packaged cheese just slapped on top. An to top it off some of the plastic was still on the omelette. Just wow IHOP. read more

My pancakes were good, not like the menu picture but still got the job done. I feel bad for the wait staff as they get no sorts of help from bussers. Absolutely ridiculous! Sign on door says they are open till 10pm and also the website. We showed up at 9:27 the hostess said that they don't seat after 9:30. We said that it was absolutely bologna that the sign says 10pm so it should say 9:30. We walked out the door and some employee came out after us and proceeded of accusing us of calling the hostess a b****. We told him that we never said any profanity of any kind. So the hostess was not only rude for not seating us since it was just then 9:30, but for lying about us to a male employee. Terrible service!!!!! Won't visit the Mt. After having a card from Hampton Inn for 2 months for 20% off we finally decided to go. All of the employees seemed to be very happy and nice. We had Princess as our waitress. Very friendly and made sure we had no food allergies before she put our order in. I had the Eggs Benedict. The ham was very salty. The bearnaise sauce was a little salty for my taste as well. My husband had the chicken fried steak and eggs. He has had this many times before and still didn't remember to ask for the smaller portion. It is always very tasty, but it is ginormous! My wife & I eat out quite frequently. This is the first time we have ever been to an IHOP together. Although, we have separately been to a different IHOP a couple of times many years ago. My wife, son & his girlfriend all ordered breakfast. The food was very good. The longest bacon I've ever seen with little fat & actually cooked! We don't do reviews very often on yelp. But, we are doing a review of IHOP not because of the food so much. But because of the absolute fantastic service we got from our server Felix. Granted the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. But our waiter could of just stood around in the kitchen talking to the cooks or something. But instead, Felix gave us the best service we've ever had in any resturant! We stopped going there a year or so ago for several reasons which I will explain as best as I can. First : Someone mentioned the tables were sticky and they were often cleaned as we sat down wet and sticky. Secondly : A regular waitress decided to tell us about shooting a doe and her fawn was standing there. When I got upset she told me and I am repeating it verbatim. "Get over it!" I am not against hunting just ... still is a nightmare to think about it. That said many of the waiters were very nice college kids. Maybe not the most experienced oh and by the way sometimes showed up sick I saw one girl rub her nose with her hand then try to serve us coffee. Almost forgot that one! Ok and calories just toss that out the window hope you have the fastest metabolism that only young people can have. read more

every time ive been here they always take forever to come to my table to hand out menus. while sitting there waiting, i noticed that their walls by their booths are gross and dirty. when we finally get the menus we have to sit and wait for an even longer amount of time for the wait staff to come back to the table. once the order is placed, we wait about 45 minutes to an hour before we even get our food. ordered online and food was great, but dont try using a gift card and then pay for the remaining total with a card because the website/app cant do that. called to talk to a manager and i sat on hold for 15 minutes with no answer. not very impressed. read more

She gave us the bills right after we got our food, and then ignored us after we paid. Not once did she ask how our food was. We waited 10 to 15 minutes for our drinks and then it took another 45 minutes to an hour for refills, in this time he visited many other tables and had person conversations. My daughter and I came to Mt. Pleasant mi ihop for breakfast. Everything was going great we nines what we wanted when we sat down and ordered all at once. We get our food and got half way through (it was good) my daughter had to go to the bathroom I take her only to return to our food with the table trash on top of it like they were cleaning the table up...we were not done. Our new milk had all the utensils in it. So flagged down our waitress and explained we were not finished. They replaced milk and remade the entire spicy poblano inlets only for it to be extremely spicy (the first was perfect). I always try to avoid coming to IHOP. The food is over priced and the serving size is VERY small compared to many other restaurants. There has been times i've come in for breakfast and left still hungry with a $10+ bill. Over this previous weekend I came in with some friends and had a burger. The burger was delicious along with the side fries that came with it. The first time i've ever left IHOP full! The waitresses name was Heidi, she was absolutely great! This restaurant is LESS THAN ONE STAR in quality, cleanliness, friendliness and food! We should have had a clue when we noticed that the flowers outside in the flower pots were dead. We walked in and no one was around. We waited and a bus boy walked by and seated us. We got one menu to share between my husband and I. We were seated next to a wall whose chair rail was peeling paint all over the place. The vinyl floor next to our table was also peeling up. The flooring was coming up all around the edges. Finally after sharing the one menu our waiter took our order. I ordered coffee and my husband wanted only water. Those came promptly. Yay! Then we ordered a Belgium waffle and strawberry banana pancakes with no whip cream. It took a while which we didn't understand as the place was dead. Waiter brings our food. Problem! Whip cream all over my pancakes. I made him take it back and remove the whip cream. He says "I didn't dress it". So what! You're my waiter, you knew I didn't want whip cream. Make it happen!! Sorry, I can't stand whip cream! He brings it back and tells me with a smile "I gave you extra strawberry compote. Now my pancakes are cold, swimming in strawberry sauce and a big ball of mush. I ate my bacon wondering if I could get more coffee. Nope. Not once did I ever get a refill or even an offer! WORST RESTAURANT I'VE EVER BEEN TO IN MY 60 years!!! The owner needs to do something. We went to this restaurant after 10pm, their were only a couple of tables with other customers. They had a floor cleaner there, fortunately the machine was quiet. The kid at the front counter, who seated us was more professional and friendly than our waitress, who seemed more interested in visiting with other guests, who may have been local kids, than making sure our order was brought out warm. It was cold and hard. We had to wait to get her attention just to get more creamer for coffee. When we were ready to pay, we had to wait for her to finish her sit down conversation with another customer. We will not go back here, if this waitress is on duty, again. read more

I usually don't like corporate restaurants but it was super early in the morning and I needed to get some food in me before hitting the road. I had the chicken crepes (no mushrooms), and honestly the cooks did everything perfectly. I was one of the best breakfasts I've had in awhile. All of the staff was so very nice, helpful and surprisingly upbeat for so early in the morning. I will definitely come back if I'm ever in the part of Michigan again. read more

We visited this IHOP after leaving the casino. It is one of the better options for a family restaurant in the area. Their restaurant appeared to be very clean and neat which I can always respect. Our server was friendly but fell short as to what I would describe as a good server (gave us a bottle of ketchup that was empty, was slow to refill drinks). Three people at my table ordered the same omelette. One of the omelettes came out after the first two and the shredded cheddar cheese on top was not melted like the others (or like any omelette for that matter). You could tell it was rushed from the kitchen which is always a concern. In my own opinion the server should have never brought it out looking like that because he knew that it was wrong and instantly took it back to the kitchen when he saw our faces. After coming out for the second time just a few minutes later the appearance was much better and taste was fine. It was my brothers birthday and the server shared that this meant he got a free Sundae. The sundae was huge and looked very good. After a few bites he noticed a black hair in the ice cream. We showed the server and he apologized. It was pretty gross, but being a free sundae we didn't make a big deal out of it. Appetite was immediately ruined and we decided it was time to go. On the way out the a manager from the kitchen came out. Mind you, this manager had on a kitchen apron, she also had short black hair that was shoulder length and not put into a ponytail and no hair net was present. I couldn't help but assume that the hair in the ice cream was hers. Will not be back to this IHOP the next time that I am in mount pleasant! Gross! read more

I would like t o say I love IHOP. I have eaten at different IHOPs throught out the USA and LoVE them. HOWEVER SAGINAW LOCATION IS HORRIBLE!!! The hole experience at this locations was terrible from waitress to the food. When we first sat down the waitress took for ever to come over. then we ordered water. After 15 minutes we asked another waitress for water. About 10 minutes after that our waitress showed up and brought 1 glass of water, their was 2 of us. We waited a while for our food and when we got it, everthying was either cold or luke warm. We said something to our waitress she did not even appologize. Asked for manager one never came after 10 minutes. But they sure did give us our bill. If you are in Saginaw and you are thinking of going here, you would be better off saving your money. read more

For all of the local restaurants to visit in Mount Pleasant it amazes me that the place with consistently great food and service is a national restaurant chain.
