Ambience: clean. I was truly surprised the outside is no reflection of the inside. Roof of entrance made me wonder about my life choices but once inside it was good. Clean waiting area. Parking: low key wish they would put the pick up orders on the side of the building and not the front of the building. The wait: it's spring break. Party of 2, we waited 25 minutes to get seated. We waited to give our order. We waited another 35 minutes to get our food. Felt like forever. Waitress: Ihop had a great crew today. Our waitress was very welcoming, home town southern sweetness, just very sincere. Management: know your customers. Payday, make sure all employees and extra employees are on deck. Spring break, prepare for it. Have cash. Hire a cashier. Have dollar bills. Your employees were using their dollar tips to give customers their change. Help your crew and I can see they will continue to bust their best out for your restaurant. This is what I observed... waitresses had to slow down seating people and slow down getting their orders. I would like to start out by saying if I could leave zero stars I would. From beginning to end I had a terrible experience. When we first arrived, we waited for a while and had to go back in and remind them we were there for them to grab the table. After being seated multiple things had to be sent back. This wasn't even the worst of it. My mother was walking to the bathroom, as a black woman and two other white women in front of her. The woman stopped her on the way to the bathroom and said she needed to pay before leaving... she didn't stop the white women. And assumed she would be leaving before paying. Yesterday (Sunday 10:45am) was the worst experience I think I have ever had in my life. IHOP is very busy after church on Sundays (every Sunday). It's always busy, and we wait just like everyone else not a problem. Got to the table no silverware (we had to ask) no problem it was real busy she forgot. We got plastic silverware we were told it was washing. This is not a new business it has been there for years. The food was ice cold when we got it (I mean ice cold). I got scrambled eggs with Swiss cheese and the cheese was put on top not even melted. French toasted was really doughy I put syrup on top that made it even more ice cold (it must have been refrigerated). Stopped twice so far on vacation, both times with my mother for breakfast. We got seated quickly both times. Staff was very friendly, both times I got scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast and it was excellent both times. I had placed a mobile order for a family feast of chicken tenders and fries. One of the kids had gymnastics so it makes it easy to grab food on the go. I had gift cards to use so I choose IHOP. The order was supposed to be ready at 6:06. No one even greeted her for 10 minutes after just to tell her that they were sold out of chicken tenders completely. The manager said she had no way to call cause there was no number but the app makes me put a number in when you order. And she told her waitress to tell her when we arrived so she could explain yet we waited 10 minutes just to be greeted. The worst part was, the manager couldn't even give me a refund. So now I'm late picking up my daughter from gymnastics, have no dinner and out nearly $30. Update: I called the next morning and spoke with a manager. He apologized and said the person I spoke to last night will receive additional coaching. He explained that they really weren't out of chicken tenders as well. He offered me a gift card and I explained that after that experience I wasn't sure I would ever return. He said he hoped that we gave IHOP another opportunity to earn back my business and refunded me over the phone to my debit card. We wanted to find a place that was low key and able to seat the 8-10 people that we were meeting. We arrived about 45min earlier than the other people. The waitress seated us, provided coffee and many refills. I asked her to give me the check at the end of the meal. We ordered and ate in 3 waves. The food was as expected. Typical IHOP food. The waitress was more than friendly. She ensured our comfort the entire visit. Drinks were constantly refilled, plates were cleared quickly after the eating was complete. Likely the best experience we've had at an IHOP. We would def eat here again. I'd hope we would get the same server. Service was so friendly. Manager on duty provided great local info on where to buy fresh seafood when I inquired. The 3 stars was for the sirloin tip dinner- I wasn't crazy about the sweetish after taste of the sauce used. Corn was good but overcooked,mashed potatoes were tasty as well as the meat. Would go back. Part2- went back for breakfast had raspberry crêpe cream cheese which was pretty decent and had chicken Florentine crepe which was much better. Went to this IHOP for dinner with my wife, we were looking forward to a nice affordable meal. I had seen the advertising about the IHOP Hoppy Hour and intended to take advantage of this great promotion. We got to this location at 4:30 and the place was empty so we thought that would mean quicker service. WRONG. The service was very slow and inattentive, the menu and table cards did not offer the IHoppy Hour" deals so we ordered anyways. The bacon and cheese omlette was very slim on cheese, the hasbrowns tasted old and cold and the rest of the order was cold and tasteless. I have been a lifelong IHOP fan but this location should not be called IHOP it doesn't live up to the reputation. Visited this location twice and got April as my server twice. She is beyond awesome and takes great care of her guests. Not impressed with my first visit to this IHOP. My order came prepared incorrectly and I was accused of "ordering it incorrectly" and then the menu was brought to me and I was told how to clearly order it! Really? Then, when my check came, she just sat it on the table and walked away without saying anything. So, I assumed I pay at the checkout on the way out. When I take my check up there (after sitting there for 5 minutes with no service), the manager tells me "oh, you don't pay here because your server should have taken care of this, but I will make an exception and check you out!" Me and a buddy drove here for brunch on a Saturday, we waited to be sat, it was fairly busy but not to the point where servers would be struggling to get orders out. We went ahead and ordered our food right away, we knew what we wanted. Our order was taken by our server, and drinks were brought out. It was after one full hour of waiting for our Food, while watching other people that literally ordered the same exact thing 20 minutes after us, get their food first is completely unacceptable. I let the waitress know that we would be leaving, and to charge me for the drinks. So went to ihop today. It wasn't crowded however we sat waiting for our food for almost an hour while everyone around us (all of which arrived after us got food and ate). I went about 30 min without seeing our waitress to ask. She finally came back around to tell me she forgot to put the order in. The best part is that for that hour we got to sit backed up to the employee computer and I got to hear from EVERY WAITER complain how little every table tipped them. While trying to eat I kept hearing people yelling from the kitchen, really bush league. I also overheard a server ask a customer who'd paid his bill, "Do you need change?" My daughter and I ate at the Morehead City restaurant today, April 15th. I have to say that I was so incredibly surprised and disappointed in how the manager spoke to the staff and how she acted. We requested a table and the manager insisted that the waitress seat us in a booth. Turns out our waitress was very sick, throwing up in restroom while I was in there, and the manager made us sit in her section so she couldn't go home. We were not only seated in a booth that we did not request, but were seated directly across from the kitchen and had to hear her berate the staff and flag certain staff members for punishment by holding there customers plates. I most definitely will not be eating here again. Employees are not slaves nor your children. The staff was very friendly and helpful. First and last time ever visiting this IHOP location a few weeks ago. We were welcomed and seated almost instantly by a bright and smiling hostess but didn't see a server for 8-10 minutes despite it not appearing busy at all. The waitress was quite unfriendly and seemed completely disinterested in anything other than wiping her dirty hands all over the butt of her already crusty pants and using her pencil to clean out her ear. I ordered the steak and eggs breakfast plate with sweet tea and my friend ordered a cream cheese stuffed french toast. I requested the steak to be cooked medium and eggs to be sunny side up. I noticed they had an Alfredo pasta dish so I asked for a side of the sauce because I sometimes like to dip some of my steak in it. The waitress was a poor confused soul and said they didn't have an Alfredo sauce. I asked what sauce they used on their Alfredo pasta then. She said "it's just a cheese sauce" and I asked if I could have some of that on the side. She said she didn't think they could do that and I asked her if she could simply ask the kitchen if they could. When she bought us the food, she just sat it down carelessly and started to walk away without even saying a single word. I had to stop her and call her back to bring to her attention that both myself and my friend had our glasses empty (since it was so full of ice, it went pretty fast in the 30 or so minutes we waited since ordering). I barely finished my sentence before she turned her back and again started prancing away so I had to call out again to finish. She sighed heavily, turned on her heel and slumped her shoulders before rolling her eyes and sticking out her neck as she said "Uh huh...?" I asked whether she had asked the kitchen if they could give me a bit of the Alfredo pasta's cheese sauce on the side and she said "No we can't do that." I said "That's somewhat odd that they can't give a small side of sauce even if it costs extra, but okay, thank you for asking them." I doubt she asked. She said, "We have a cheese sauce though." ..... I asked what kind of cheese it was and she said it was white... I asked if she meant white cheddar or white american or white as in Parmesan or what kind and she said "No, it's just plain white cheese." I told her I'd try it. Another 6-7 minutes passed and she returned with one tea; an additional 3-4 minutes passed and she bought my friend's tea; an additional 10 minutes passed and she returned with the "white cheese sauce". Guess what? It was Alfredo sauce. Now, besides that mess, the "sunny side up" eggs were way over cooked. The yolk was completely solidified and the white was crunchy. The bland steak was well done instead of medium with the exception of one end around 2x3 inches that was blue rare which I guess must have been hanging off the side of the grill for part of it to be well done and part to be raw. My friend's cream cheese stuffed french toast was also stuffed with a strand of 3 long pieces of hair. We will certainly not return. read more

We were very skeptical due to the bad reviews but decided to try it out since, well....its an IHOP. Yes service was a little slower than most IHOPS, but our experience was great! We just ate there for breakfast on Friday. Our waiter was AJ and he was awesome! Very friendly and constantly checked in on us. He also brought my 1 year old a bowl of yogurt while we were waiting for our food. One of the servers noticed my son accidentally dropped his empty sippy cup and offered to wash it out for us. Super friendly staff, the food was hot and typical of a normal IHOP. I don't know where these bad reviews are coming from, but our recent experience was great and we will be coming back. read more

The hostess took 5 minutes to show up at the stand to seat us. The server, Kelsey (small blonde girl), has no sense of being personable, or listening. Brought an order that she had taken wrong and entered wrong. On top of that, she entered another of our orders wrong and it took an extra 10 minutes for that one to come out. My eggs (ordered over medium ) came out over cooked. The food we waited extra time for was not good, and Kelsey just took the plate away without offering to get an alternative dish for my friend. My friend did not have to pay for that dish, so that was the one good thing. Management seemed to have little care for the situation as well, as we overheard them speaking ill of our table. Our waitress said she put our order in at the same time she put her other table's in and they received their food before us, and they came in after us. Our waitress kept yelling us that any second our food would come out. We waited for an hour before we talked to the manager. When she came up to us she apologized for the wait and we didn't have to pay for our drinks. So we got up and left as our food came out of the kitchen that looked cold.
