I haven't been to an ihop in a while but decided to drop by and the place was full but welcoming and clean. My sons ordered from the kids menu and they enjoyed the burger, fries and happy face pancake. The kids also dine for free before 10 pm with a paid adult so that was convenient. Our server was Alfonso and he was very friendly and helpful. He was prompt despite a busy evening. They also had a beautiful Christmas three at the entrance which my kids really enjoyed seeing. I just want to say is that on Monday March 30, 2026. I was charged with a Water Bottle for $1.99 and my table never ordered a Bottled Water, not sure why our waiter would do that to us since she took down our orders during that evening. Totally disappointed at the staffs here. They need to be trained more efficiently and better and NOT charging people with extra dollars that they did not order. Might not come back. Our server, Maria, is truly deserving of a five-star rating. However, we found the food to be closer to a two-star experience. The pancakes were rather dry and overcooked, and the crepes did not seem to be prepared correctly. Additionally, I did not receive the extra crispy, extra crunchy, well-done bacon I had requested. I was particularly looking forward to the crepes, as the Crepe Combo at the IHOP Manteca location had impressed me so much that I returned the very next day after my initial visit. Given our experience, I do not anticipate returning to this particular location for the Crepe Combo, and my husband will also likely not be returning for their pancakes. I placed an online order and arrived about 10 minutes after my scheduled pickup time, expecting it to be ready. When I arrived, I was told the order still wasn't ready and ended up waiting an additional 10-15 minutes. When I finally received my food, I asked for some of the butter that's served in the restaurant (not the prepackaged kind), since I prefer it. I was only given one small butter for five pancakes, which was disappointing. The food quality was unacceptable. My fries were cold and soggy, and worst of all, the pancakes were completely inedible because they had mold on them. This is a serious food safety issue. I called the restaurant to speak with a manager and was placed on hold for over 15 minutes. I hung up and called back, only to be put on hold again. Given how bad the experience already was and that my food was ruined, this was extremely frustrating. I came here on a weekday morning. I was very surprised by how busy it was since it wasn't the weekend yet. We waited ten minutes before we got a table. Service was patient as we were taking a while to decide what to order. We ordered the Avocado Toast, Cinnamon Bun Crepes, and Colorado Omelette. The avocado toast look very basic for that price. Dalia just made our Christmas morning. She's so sweet and genuine and just on top of everything. Having to work Christmas morning might seem like a drag but she had a great attitude about it and was very spirited with all the guests. Couldn't help but notice her cute snowman earrings as well! Still love the pancakes at IHOP after some 40 years but generally the rest of the food is hit or miss since we usually drop in during graveyard and there's a terrible limited late night menu. Coming in at 6:30am on Christmas morning we weren't sure what to expect. I ordered an omelette (which has AYCE pancakes) and my husband got the steak tips which had a surprising sweet marinade. Everything was cooked so perfectly and all the ingredients were super fresh. That along with stellar happy service really blew us away. And to top it all off, the Christmas music they were playing on their in-house radio were all renditions I've never heard before of classic Christmas songs and they were all so wonderful. Truly an amazing Christmas morning for us. On the whole, service and staff is wonderful at this location especially with long timers like Alfonso and Noelia. We've also known Dom a long time from another restaurant he used to work at and he takes great care of us too. Today we'll add Dalia to that list and hopefully catch her again. read more

I don't know why this location has poor reviews. I brought my son with me for breakfast while we were in the area and early for a funeral. It was SUPER busy, however, they were quickly cleaning tables and we were seated immediately. Our server was Ashley. She greeted us immediately, brought our beverages, and took our order. Our food came out quick and it was delicious. We had pancakes, crepes, eggs, bacon, and juice. late night menu is more expensive . I hadn't been to an iHOP in ages! They only have 1 jar or syrup out on the table now? No more flavored syrups I guess. It was midnight and I was really craving some pancakes so we went! The late night menu has a limited offering, and is a couple dollars higher than regular menu. Likely because it's the graveyard shift with limited staff. Ordered the spicy poblano omelette with choice of 3 pancakes. Everything was delicious and hit every taste bud!! Cravings completely satiated! The spicy poblano omelette has charred grilled peppers, onions, and shredded beef with cheese on top. There is a slight kick but we still wanted to add more hot sauce. IHOP'S famous Pancakes were just as delicious as I remembered! Coffee was over $4/cup but was served with a small thermos with enough coffee for 3 cups which helped especially when it's short staffed. Overall experience was very positive. We were greeted and seated timely. Orders and drinks served timely. Food took a while to prep but at least I had coffee to sip on while I waited. Service was friendly. The app was notifying the food was ready to be picked up so I make my way inside and the cashier with glasses dark hair super slow by the way seemed like she didn't want to work too busy talking with her coworkers, says it's not ready so I wait there more than 10 minutes. I get home and the food was not cooked properly it was all rushed the eggs weren't cooked nor the French toast. This is pretty ridiculous I ordered a ham and egg melt as a pickup order and this is what I received A burned sandwich I paid for them to add bacon but of course they also did not add it. Unfortunately I am unable to return the food because I am now at work but this isn't the first time it happens but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but I just can't ignore this much carelessness. In my opinion just double check your bags even though they give you the bag closed I recommend to just open it. My bag had a double knot which is why I didn't even think about opening it but it would have saved me a lot of frustration. read more

It's Saturday night, 8:00 pm and my family and I are hungry after watching reruns of "16 and Pregnant". Why, you might ask?? I honestly don't know why?? Anyway, getting back to we are hungry. They want Taco Bell & I want hot cakes from IHOP so we flip a coin. So, we arrive at IHOP within twenty minutes. We are seated almost as soon as we walk into the restaurant. Place is big, clean and there are other customers eating throughout the restaurant. So far so good. Our waitress immediately comes over to take our drink orders. I like the service. My family orders various items. I order the Harvest Grain & Nuts Hotcakes ( I LOVE those suckers!) and remember, I was the one craving hot cakes, i won the coin flip and I am about to eat four delicious pancakes so I am ever soooo happy. After placing our food order, we wait no more than ten minutes when I observed the waitress carrying several plates of food and she is headed in the direction of our table. I am starting to get excited with great anticipation as she walks closer and closer and all I can see is the waitress carrying a plate of four hot cakes. By this time, I don't notice anything else she is carrying . I am zeroed in on the plate of four hot cakes. They sure look like Harvest Grain hotcakes, I think to myself. The waitress arrives at our table and sure enough, she has just delivered my Harvest Grain & Nuts Hotcakes. YES!! I am happy with a grin from ear to ear, I see fireworks going off all around me and the band playing music in the background. Nah, ima just kidding but I was definitely happy. What can I say, I was TRULY craving hot cakes. I request sugar free syrup bcos I like it and no other reason. A quick prayer for the food and it is time to go to town. My family attempts to engage in a convo with me while I am eating but I have learned, "less talking, more eating" from my daughter's school so I am applying that golden rule at this very moment. My Harvest Grain and Nuts pancakes are a tad dry but soooooo good. I am SHOCKED when I finish my meal before everyone else so what is one to do but stare at everyone's else's plate. Asking now and then, "I bet it's good, ha? or, "Do you want me to try a bit of your burger?" I ended up with turkey bacon, half of a cheeseburger and a few fries without ever ordering any of these items for myself. How did this happen?? This was the first time for me coming to this IHOP in Monterey Park. I had the sampler along with blueberry pancakes, and I must say everything was delicious. They have different kinds of syrup which I use the blueberry, but they also have strawberry butter, pecan and old-fashioned. The place was packed when I got here and the hostess acknowledged me immediately and took my name down and my party number and said it would be about five minutes and it was actually less than five minutes. I was seated and the waitress was right there giving me my coffee that I ordered and gave me a minute to figure out what I was gonna eat. The place was jump in with people eating their delicious breakfast and it was so busy but the workers here are so attentive, even though it was busy and loud, and everybody was having a good time with their family or their friends and colleagues or even just by themselves like me. I can't imagine why it only has three stars, but I'm gonna give this place a five star because I've been to IHOPs for the service was really bad in the past, but this one is actually really really great. All the people here were very, very nice and friendly and smiling, and really working their butts off to Make everything efficient. Plus they had a lot of people working, which wasn't the case in the past. As soon as I was done with my food, and I placed it aside, the bus boy immediately was there asking if he could take it. The manager walking around making sure everything is running smoothly and I have to say this is the best IHOP I've ever been to. Well this location specializes in cold mostly premade breakfasts. They just don't seem to understand that customers expect a fresh hot made to order breakfast. Not a room temperature plate of burnt hash browns and cold breakfast meats. Server was friendly but the kitchen obviously a disappointment. Talked to manager whose only response was he'll talk to the kitchen. $42.82 for two breakfast plates of mediocre cold food. At least the two pancakes were warm. A lesson learned. read more

They're ready I can give them to you to go what the heck she wanted to eat and enjoy her breakfast she wanted to eat the pancakes while sitting there and enjoying breakfast with me, her mom and her son. I understand that sometimes people have bad days, but it's not our fault the customers maybe you shouldn't work that day and then my daughter tells the waitress that she's prediabetic and instead of putting the blueberries in the pancake if she can have them in a bowl so the waitresses resolution was for her not to have blueberries Really?? on normal circumstances I would say we had a good morning and enjoyed our breakfast, but we didn't the manager did take care of us but as a faithful customer we should've not had to experience this. read more

I kept asking for help from managers and they were no better than the servers/ food runners. I really like it here, I've been coming to this location for almost 20 years now. I can't remember if they moved down the shopping center or not, but the food is always good. They always have really good pancakes and French toast, but I also recommend the grilled steak sandwich, the country fried steak and the pot roast. The service is always quick and excellent, please don't forget to tip! My only criticism is that the last time I went, they didn't have the variety of syrups on the table anymore. I hope that changes because I used to love getting a stack of pancakes then altering between the different types of syrups until I finally got full. LOL read more
