Man, I love me some IHOP! Although their specific location can use a little bit more of TLC ( lit the lights just a tad more, or maybe an ad about promotional items), the food is always bomb! I asked for the new bacon, avocado, burger, and what a nicer surprise! I would have seasoned the burger a little bit more because it was bland, but it allow me to taste the SEVERAL bacon links on it. I would have also liked the buns to have mayo on them, or at least asked me if I wanted to add it as I assumed it would have. I also have the pancake of the month, and thank you to the server who offered to put the toppings on the side for my leftovers. On that note, the service always have a smile and are very nice which I will always appreciate. I would have asked for a milkshake, but they told me that the ice cream was not good. Without reading the other reviews, not sure of the low rating. I had a very good experience here. Nice clean store of the nation chain. Guessing this location has been around a while due to the size and layout. However the staff and food were great. I had a Big Steak omelette and my companion the Pesto Veggie Egg omelette. She substituted 3 chocolate Happy Face pancakes instead of traditional. They were great with substitutions and the food was huge. Definitely a to-go box for us. No rush to leave. I've been coming to IHop since I was a little girl. I really like coming here, because it's familiar, consistent, and always good (Hence, consistent). I especially like the breakfast. So many choices, and I haven't experienced them all yet, Lol!! My husband had the ham, and cheese omelet breakfast special. The portion size was enormous. Seriously, he could only eat 1/4 of it. I had the bacon, cheese eggs, and Belgin waffle with strawberries. It was delicious . The service was good, as always. Our waitress was personable, nice and a lot of fun. I had been looking for this for a long time. The mashed potatoes had cheese and REAL COOKED BACON. The steam broccoli was good as well. Went here because four kids wanted to. Surprised to see that we were seated in a cluster of full tables rather than every other one. There were just eight tables being occupied - in a cluster. The food was typical of iHops, no complaints. Server was very sweet but paid no mind to details, i.e., twice given tartar rather than mayo. Our server also stood and chatted at a table for over 10 minutes. Asked another server to get her and that never happened. The turkey & swiss sandwich was very good. It was prepared with slices of turkey, not luncheon meat. I asked for horseradish sauce and never heard back from the server. The kids loved their banana strawberry pancakes. It may be small, but they really know how to pump out the food to their customers. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was brought out quickly and was PIPING hot! Jamila, who never gave me here name, was extremely rude, brought me half cooked food, never checked back to see if I needed anything or if the food was okay. Never brought me a refill. Just dropped a check on my table as she walked by. When I attempted to ask her a question, she cut me off & walked away from the table. I was told there was no manager available. I would need to come back to speak to one because their phones don't work either. As someone who works in the hospitality industry this was everything you don't want a customer to experience...even if you lower your standards to subpar. For a egg bowl and crepe combo with 2 lemonades, I would have taken my $45.47 elsewhere and not been treated in such a DISRESPECTFUL manner. We went to this IHOP location, and I was expecting the very worst, given the last horrendous experience I had with one of these about 15 years ago. What a surprise. It was EMPTY although I noticed there was no effort toward proper COVID table spacing. I realize this is Florida, and the moron idiot governor "opened the state back up" in summer 2020, but I would not have dined here had it been full or even half full of guests. We have a four-top table off in a corner and the server was charming. The food was surprisingly acceptable for this type of chain. We had pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, a turkey sandwich, a salad, and beverages. The server was chatty but not intrusive. All in all, a good experience. They have a brioche French toast that was so so so good which I had for the first time and was pleasantly surprised- it wasn't sorry and props to adding this in and making it just right! This little (and I mean little compared to other IHOPs) restaurant is located by McDonalds just before Emory Ave. The parking lot was packed, mainly because today is National Pancake Day and IHOP is giving free short stacks all day until 10pm. But our wait in the restaurant wasn't very long; we were seated right away. Because of the promotion, it did take a while for the server to come over to take drink & food orders but once that happened, our food came out right away. I had, obviously, the free short stack: 3 smallish sized pancakes with a dollop of butter and a side of Loaded cheese and bacon potatoes. The loaded potatoes thate were featured only came out 2 days ago, according to our server. Pancakes were pancakes which I like to eat cut into teeny tiny "arynn-sized" pieces. But the potatoes! Yummy! also heart attack on my plate! They are chunks of baked potatoes covered in cheese and bacon, sprinkled with scallions with a scoop of sour cream on the top! The cheese was all oooey-gooey goodness and the pieces of bacon were very generous. I loved it. Aside from the cheese/bacon, they also have sausauge/gravy potatoes and one that escapes my brain. The 3 choices are nice additions to your combo platter or as a side for 2.99. Appparently here for about 3-4 months and then they will be changed. But, now that I'm full, reviewed and re-tired, I will be crawling back into bed until it's time to go to work...and then maybe I will check out another location if I want pancakes for dinner. hee hee read more
