This morning, my wife and I had very pleasant experience at IHOP on Canal Street in Kennewick. We came in on a very busy morning with a massive line out the door, but the young staff handled it incredibly well. Everyone was professional, kind, and clearly working hard, and they still went out of their way to help people and keep things moving smoothly. The food was good as usual, exactly what you expect from IHOP, but what really stood out was the service. Even under pressure, the staff stayed positive and welcoming, which made the wait feel much easier. I was genuinely impressed and would happily come back. read more

Called for reservation, was told i had to go onto yelp to make one. I did just that as we were driving there was told wait was 14 minutes, then upon arrival they didnt have my reservation. The food took about 30 minutes to get to our table & then they said oh we messed up your pancakes so I had to wait at least another 25 minutes to even get my food it was done right but dang near burnt read more

This isn't even good "shitty" diner food. The coffee left a weird aftertaste, the pancakes tasted like whatever was on the grill before, and the country potatoes tasted like butter and nothing else. The bacon was the only edible item. 2 stars for the good service. read more

Normally this is a high review. I love this place. Today I felt like they dropped the ball. I wanted breakfast for dinner.. plain and simple. Well simple as my gluten allergy will allow. I had asked for an item on their "happy hour" menu.. well when it came to swapping my pancake for gluten friendly pancakes, because it's happy hour I was told I couldn't substitute. Um I'm getting pancakes just need gluten free instead. Originally I want the endless pancakes. But because I have to get them gluten free??? Out of all the times I had to wait while listening to the hosts and hostesses talk while within earshot, one hostess was being rude to another. The host had long hair in a ponytail, I couldn't get a good look at her name tag but did catch a glimpse of the first letter, it was either a J or a G. She also had very rude tone. She told the other host using a rude tone that "If you're going to panic, you can over there". She was also not listening to directions given by the other host. If someone like that is going to work at a restaurant then she needs to be taught that she can not talk to her coworkers like that or use that kind of tone. I don't understand why someone so rude and disrespectful is working at a restaurant at all. She should be fired for insubordination, being disrespectful, and for being rude towards those around her. I wouldn't be surprised if she went around being rude to all the customers, servers, and hosts that come in. read more

First off the food was total deliciousness! The problem was the service. Lipstick on the coffee cup. Confused servers. Wrong order delivered. No one came to check on us after food was brought to table. No refills. Had to actually get up and find someone to get a to-go box. Table not cleared after finished eating. And it was NOT a busy. Like many chain restaurants, we go to some of them because we like the consistency of their menu and products. This location is in a shopping center with a large parking lot allowing for us to not only drive in, but to park our truck and 5th wheel. This location is one of the larger we have been to and this eliminated any wait time. I will not fault any business in Washington State since their hands are tied with the mask mandates, but they did not bother us about removing them as soon as we were seated. Our hostess asked if we knew what we wanted to drink which was a fantastic touch! We did not have to wait for our server to arrive for this. Our server did acknowledge us immediately which is also great. I understand servers are very busy and overworked, but just saying hello and be with us soon is all I ask for. Awesome! I go through a lot of coffee in the morning and I love the fact IHOP still serves a craft of coffee for self-refills. Our order was accurate and served fast. We had some time to kill and since there were empty table surrounding us, we did not feel rushed out and I asked if it was ok fo loiter for a bit, she had no trouble with it and even refilled my coffee craft! Of course I left a little extra for my gratitude. Service was great! Food was just right. Hot when served and accurate. My omelette was stuffed with items and filled the plate.
