A breakfast taco with bacon arrived with beef stripe and I think it was guacamole, missed the mark but the server stated this was what you ordered then recanted after the manager arrived. He tried to make the steak right by bringing a 2nd one without any gravy half way thru the meal, sorry no thanks. Pancakes apparently have now 1 size fits all, child size that does not look like the menu picture. IHOP food and service do not warrant these prices. Restaurant was just nasty. Trash and food all over the floors. Food was cold and rubbery. I don't believe they actually cook half of it. Maybe thaw it out and stick it under a heat lamp? My friend told me I was going to hell because I ate at IHOP instead of Waffle House this week. I told him he could have my savory breakfast crepes when he pried them out of my cold dead hands! But I'm full of life today, thanks to that delicious breakfast, a warm comfy booth, and even more thanks to the friendly and efficient service that brought it to me this week. I enjoyed a full day of digital work and a full cup of coffee the whole time I was there. Excellent free Wi-Fi and an electrical outlet by my booth was all I needed to keep me churning away at my writing. Heavy rain came in the afternoon, so I stayed for lunch. I would give it a zero if possible but Yelp won't let me. My mom was so happy to come here after waiting for so long, when she told my family she wanted to go to iHop they laughed at her and I know why. I didn't even want to go but she had me come with her. Firstly the server barely greeted us and was walking to the back for something and seemed very distracted by other things, not the customers in front of her. About 5-10 min in a non busy environment she finally grabs some menu's and walks away. We are wondering what is going on as she didn't acknowledge us at all. She stopped and turned around and said "oh I forgot to tell you guys to follow me". My mom ordered coffee and it was about 20-30 min later until she got it. There was a guy behind her who was seated after, got his beverage and his meal before my mom even got her coffee and we came in about 15 min or so before him. My mom had a timer set, she went to the bathroom to explore how busy the other side was which there wasn't many people at all, no excuse for two servers with maybe 10 tables if that. My only guess having worked in food myself and served a entirely packed restaurant and working the kitchen I did better service than whatever this was. And when I worked it was at the start of lock down and during the major part of this pandemic. If customers got bad service there would be no charge, along with a complimentary free meal for the next time. The manager delivered my mom's coffee and meal with barely an apology and a weak same excuse of he has another side to take care of. I told her I worked in food and know how it is and even still this is pathetic. Sad to say my family and myself told my mom "we told you so" but yeah, don't ever come here. 5/15/2022 I read the reviews before we tried this IHOP and had mixed emotions about coming here. I am glad we tried this location. The waitress was awesome, the food came out quickly, correct and on time. I asked for catsup and hot sauce and it came out before the order. I asked for extra butter and our waitress, Payten had it out very quickly. Payten was very courteous, polite and professional. We used to go to the IHOP in Matthews on 74 but it went downhill fast. Listen, Lonnie (I believe that's the managers name from last night), is the greatest at going above and beyond for his customers. Went in last night after a huge party at Kate's Skates for one my best friend's 30th birthday. Our party arrived early (about 9 or 10 of us) while the birthday girl was smooching with a boy for a bit in her car. No big deal. We told Lonnie she was coming and that her birthday was that night and he had GENUINE excitement. Not anything fake, he was legitimately excited to celebrate her. He ran to the back like Road Runner and began to cook up a plan. First, he brought out cupcake pancakes for her on the house once she arrived, lips chapped after a heavy makeout sesh. He marched out with the entire staff to do a birthday PERFORMANCE. I mean that word when I say it. Every staff member had a different line and they were going back and forth like Kanye West and Jay Z on the Watch the Throne album. It was purely epic. This was at 11pm, guys, and every single one of them was giggly and joyous. To top it all off, my friend was so happy and excited when she arrived. But it doesn't stop there, he's just a nice man! After she had ate her pancakes and the rest of the group was waiting for ours to come out (she had to leave early so we ordered for her in advance)...he brings out a plate with a single pancake on it and a piece of butter. He then says, "How old are you today??" and my friend tells him "30!". He then starts flipping the plate with the pancake and butter on it and counting every flip. About 10 flips in, he says, "Nah, this is boring" and flips it underneath his legs. He's changing hands, looking away, and going above and beyond with his skill-set! This man is truly phenomenal, and if he isn't the GM, he deserves it. This has been my first experience to truly remember at IHOP, and it's all thanks to him! Service throughout the meal was great, pancakes were delicious, and our friend left extremely happy! All orders came out correct, and the staff was so friendly and enjoyable. This is the worst IHOP that I've ever been too. The manager is rude and discriminatory. We had a party of 9 and was told it would be no longer than 20 minutes. There were so many employees there that the guests had to maneuver around them. Several employees seemed frustrated and would walk away from talking to what appeared to be those in management and they were complaining. The cooks had absolutely no clue how to cook. My meal came with eggs - I asked for them to be cooked over medium and they came out fried. Meat also came with my meal and I chose bacon - I got what appeared to be shoestrings of fat. Overall my food was room temperature, pancakes were not even warm enough to melt butter that was on them. That is unacceptable especially since there were so many employees there working. No, I did not send my food back because I had no faith in the cooks to get it right and with all the bad attitudes from employees I saw I didn't trust that they wouldn't do something nasty to my food. The absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. The staff that was up front were so rude and disrespectful. I walked in and a waitress had just checked someone out, she looks at the receipt and is clearly mad at the tip so she proceeds to say out "what the fuck, what a bitch". I had my back to her talking to the 6 kids in our group when my 13 year old daughter looks at me and says they are staring at us talking crap. Then I hear the host say I'm tired of these looks if you don't like it you can leave you don't have to wait. So I turned around, she was like 3 feet from us, and I very calmly said "no one is looking at you and no one has said anything to you to cause you to be so disrespectful. We are standing here waiting just like everyone else" and I turned back around. About that time my husband walks in from a call. They proceed to sit another group that showed up after me. Our name was at the top of the list. My husband says excuse me. How are you sitting people when we've been here for 40 mins and they start talking back to him in such a rude way. I told the kids to go back to the car and told him to come on. He asked for a manager. Then the waitress that called the lady a bitch says y'all need some Jesus in your life. I was like what in the world, first off we have Jesus in our life which is why I haven't gone off on the level of disrespect that y'all have given. She then storms off I walked out along with at least 3 other groups of people including a lady that had been waiting on a lost to go order for 45 minutes.
