Ya know, I really wanted to blast this place, but after taking a few days to think I've come to this. I had issues with the service and the food. RAW CHICKEN. So, they throw this brand new manager...I believe this was her first day, into this mix. I'm a chef and I have some WTF issues but this manager. SHE HAD GUTS!!! They used to call it MOXY.,WELL SHE HAD IT. Knowing I'm a chef and I had all right to express my utter disbelief that a raw piece of food would ever leave the kitchen; came to our table and begged our forgiveness. This location seems to always disappoint. I order 2 Crepes (IHOP no longer has Lingonberry Preserves by the way), 2 sausage links and a soft drink. $14.15. There were very few customers, so it was not as though the staff was overwhelmed or I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Crepes came out slightly warmer than room temperature. How is that? Seated me in a booth next to another customer who decided earbuds were optional and I had to listen to his BS in addition to the music playing over the sound system. Is it my responsibility to say something to another customer? I would think a server or manager would take the initiative and ask them to be considerate of others. Me & my best friend went there a few weeks ago for some free pancakes offered by Carter blood care. Our waitress was super sweet, and we got a table pretty fast. She was very attentive & made sure everything was made how we liked. The coffee was very meh and watered down, and almost 4 dollars. (Me and my friend are a little snobby about coffee though). I have gone to this ihop before & had my sunny side up eggs come out almost raw before, so it really depends on the cook/time you go. read more

The waitress we had and tge manages spent numerous time cleaning tge tanks next to us. At 6:11 we left, still not having order taken. Our waitress had us and a tabes by window. She couldn't take our orders in 24 minutes Leaving, spike to manager, who also didn't seem to care at all. Don't go here after 5 pm. It's Ihop. Food and service vary from day to day and depends on what time you eat there. I go there mainly for the megas breakfast.

We ordered curbside. Got 2 breakfast samplers and a side of the fluffy whatever French toast. The French toast had ZERO cinnamon on it, the hash browns were so over cooked it wasn't even hash browns. The scrambled ever were over cooked.. the blueberry pancakes were underdone in the middle, the list goes on and on... my blue raspberry lemonade was great! So the drink adds one star read more

My initial response was to turn around when I first walked in and saw dirty tables waiting to be cleaned and no customers but I decided to roll with it. As we sat down I was really discussed by the fact that not only was there dirty tables but the floors were filthy as well. Trash and old food was under and the tables. It was hard to understand why the restaurant would look like this when there was no customers. They should have used this time to clean. I really started to leave but someone in my party insist on staying so I stayed on. As we sat there waiting for our food to be brought out something total unexpected happened! A roach crawled on me, it seems out of no where! I told the waiter and he took it to the manager. The manager after so long told the waiter to tell me that they had just sprayed so that was probably why the roaches were starting to come out. I am very unsatisfied with her response. She should have address the issue herself but instead she hides behind a 16 year old kid and sends him out to talk! I will not go back here for that reason. I still tipped the kid because he was a good waiter ( God bless him) but I'm done with IHOP in GreenvilleTx! The food looked great but my appetite was spoiled! read more

HA. This place is a joke. Only giving it one star because I can't give it a negative rating. If you live in Greenville/Commerce take yourself on over to Rockwall. I'm not even sure if we can say we had bad service BECAUSE WE NEVER GOT SERVED!! The old lady at the stand when we first walked in never even made eye contact. Clearly didn't want anyone walking in the door. We sat and waited for THIRTY MINUTES before we got up and left. Totally ridiculous and unacceptable. This "business" should be ashamed of themselves.The guy who sat us and got our drinks never came back by to make sure we got our drinks. Two other waiters were just standing around watching, or gathered around a table that were clearly friends or other employees off that night having a conversation and not doing their jobs. I finished my cup of hot chocolate and the table next to us got their entire meal AND FINISHED IT before we finally decided to get up and leave. We are now at the Whataburger down the street. IHOP's biggest turnoff is that they still allow smoking in a part of their restaurant on the weekends. The strawberry cream cheese crepes are my go-to at this location and they never disappoint. Service is always friendly and professional. They are the only sit down restaurant open 24/7 in Greenville that I am aware of. I would recommend staying away from here during the weekends because you are guaranteed a 20-30 minute wait time. While I do have these complaints about IHOP, they have been a dependable restaurant for Greenville residents when massive power outages or snowstorms leave us looking for a hot meal and electricity. We went there on a Saturday morning. Waiting for the the hostess. We got seated, waited to order drinks. A few minutes later order our food. Then as we receive our food. My husband looks down and saw hair on his breakfast. So he called the waitress over and whispered my food has hair in it. The waitress said wow that's the 2nd plate today. Let me remind you it is 8:00 am. We glanced at the kitchen no one was wearing hair nets. No gloves. I speak Spanish and I heard the lady laughing about the hair. I hop is usually okay, but today was horrible service. I NEVER get up and leave from a restaurant before I've finished a meal but this experience was awful. No music was playing, the restaurant was an absolute wreck. I understand it's hard to keep up sometimes but the entire staff was complaining about bussers leaving, saying things like "I'm not cleaning those tables" "I'm not taking care of table 27" "I'm not going back to that table" not realizing there's no music playing and the entire restaurant can hear these rude comments. I told my server I was ready to order and she said okay and walked off. VERY RUDE. Never saw her again. My challenged son and his severely challenged wife with epilepsy were eating in the Greenville TX restaurant when the building caught on fire. Smoke started pouring from the ceiling tiles. Smoke started getting thick and customers started coughing. No one said to please leave the building or we have a fire ' please exit the building. Finally after the fire department arrived a fireman went into the building and carried her out of the burning building. They were charged $44.26 dollars for their unfinished smoked meal. THEY WERNT WORRIED ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS HEALTH FROM BREATHING THE TOSIC SMOKE OR WORSE BURNING TO DEATH FROM FIRE RAINING DOWN ON THEM. JUST WANTED THEIR MONEY. What is wrong with that? read more

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. This place was busy. They have a good system to get everyone seated quickly. Food was prepared as ordered. Coffee was fresh and hot. Food had good flavor. I heard no complaints in the place except this IHOP needs an upgrade. Waitress was plenty busy with all the customers here. read more

So I left it alone.. we browsed threw the menu an under the kids menu in print it says free refills, milk, chocolate milk, hot chocolate & juice!! Man. Our servers name was Eva, and it took for-Eva to get our water. Much less the rest of our order. Ya know, sitting in the smoking section, you get pretty thirsty. At least bring the drinks fast so we have something to do other than wait. Also my friend and I felt like we got a front row ticket to STOMP. Everyone was rolling silverware and it got hilariously loud at one point. The Applebee's WiFi was a huge plus though. All jokes aside this used to be one of my favorite places but the customer service kind of sucks. read more

Went to ihop asked furthest table from the smoking. Said I'd wait however long. The guy showed me a table to which I said no to & told him I'd continue to wait. A few minutes later he took us to the same table I had just said no to. Seriously?? I said I'm not sitting there. I just told you no I do not want that seat I want the furthest from the smoking there is even if I have to wait. My eyes were already burning from just waiting I don't want the table close to that section. What part of FURTHEST AWAY, I will wait do they not understand. Needless to say we are eating elsewhere tonight. My hair smelled like smoke when we left just from being in the waiting area. Sat on what use to be the smoking side. Rather than replacing the tiles that are stained brown and stink, they light candles. Ordered our food and waited. Finally my order came out. My wife's order was jacked up in the kitchen so they were redoing it. I asked for Tabasco sauce and warm syrup which never found their way to the table. Finally my wife's food shows up. Wasn't good... asked for refills. My new water came back with a napkin wrap inside the glass. Probably won't be back for a while. I've been in truck stops that blow this IHOP away. read more

Usually really good. Last visit featured a missed entree spoken but left off the order (which was provided free of charge) and the scrambled eggs were not entirely done on one plate. Breakfast is my favorite meal, but IHOP ruined that for me today. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette with a side of hash browns. The hash browns were dry and devoid of the grease that makes hash browns so deliciously bad for you. As for the omelette, the best thing that can be said about it is that it was technically food. Love this iHop! It's a busy place, but don't despair if there is a wait. The service is fast and the tables turn over fairly quickly. I bring my grandkids here every time they visit, and we have never been disappointed. The food is consistently good regardless of whether you're eating breakfast or non-breakfast options.
