First time eating here. Taylor was a great waitress. Everything we ordered was really good. The white gravy on the country fried chicken could be a little thicker but it still tasted good. Make sure you ask for the honey butter to go with you buns. Huge portions as well. Saw someone else order a strawberry pecan salad, it looked really good I will order it next time. I had a bad experience the food years ago and I won't return. It was a busy night. The Place needed more cleaning ,but the staff was extremely busy. The wait was long I can't remember the meal I ate but I remember waiting for some homemade chicken n dumplings to go. We were seated quickly and served by a friendly wait staff. The food came out piping hot and very tasty. The only negative was that there were no hush puppies available for our fried catfish dinner. Our dinners came out with extra fries and no hush puppies. When we asked the waiter, he said they were out of hush puppies, so they decided to give us a double-order of fries. When I say catered, she went above and beyond to make sure my lunch was top notch, from making sure my drink was always full, that I received each item correctly cause I was a little picky and also had the biggest smile I have ever seen. The mashed potato's were dry and nothing to rave about, but the broccoli cheese casserole was decent. The rolls, and fried mushrooms were delicious and the brisket queso was just average. I'm trying to give benefit of the doubt, since we came Monday night and Sunday was Christmas but enough is enough. We were seated by hostess within 2 minutes and watched 2 other tables get seated with drinks and hadn't even been greated by a server after almost 10 minutes. Had to flag down a passing server only to be told our server was the bartender and he was busy. As another server passed us, Majesty offered to be our server and took our drink orders and left prepackaged plastic silverware. We asked why plastic and were told the dishwasher failed to show up and dishes are backed up in the kitchen and we arrived after 1500. Majesty did her best but after having to ask for straws, no lemon in my tea, butter for the rolls, my wife's salad after the meal was delivered ( asked for it before meal), cheese missing from salad, my side of Jalapeño Gravy, and never received my extra side of Black Eyed Peas. Sorry for the negative review, but nobody should have to use plasticware to eat in a restaurant let alone chicken fried chicken or steak, which we had to ask for a steak knife. My husband and I just ate at the Cotton Patch in Greenville. Our waitress was so soft spoken that neither my husband nor I could hear what she was saying. The third time she came back to our table I asked her to come over closer to me because I could not hear what she was saying, which she did but she did not speak any louder. Haven't been to this location in awhile. No longer serve cornbread muffins. They charged us for a cornbread cake covered in honey. Asked for 1 without honey, they charged for a second one. They were terrible. Burger was very greasy came out on Texas toast with both lettuce and tomatoes grilled. Chicken fried steak was all gristle, fried okra & fried mushrooms were frozen in center. Can't say I can recommend the food, had ti pay for it so It's all going to be fed to dogs. The waitress was awesome, felt for her. Most of the customers in her section today were all complaining about the quality of the food. She said kitchen staff couldn't speak English so she couldn't get things fixed.
