I had heard mixed reviews so my daughter and I decided to go and try it. We had a great server, Tiffany . She had a smile every time she came to the table, and I truly think that she didn't do it "because it was her job". She was friendly with everyone, not just her customers. There was a short wait for her to get to us at first, but she had a large table she was taking care of as well, so it was understandable. Our food was nice and hot, our order was perfect. This isn't an easy task because I'm finicky about how I like my eggs and hash browns cooked and they were spot on. She kept an appropriate check on us, not too much but not to little. The only down to our order was that my daughter's bacon was a little greasy to her liking but not enough to complain about. Went to ihop this morning on Miller rd... Best breakfast ever! Took over an hr to even get silverware... The busser was the only one who took care of us... Our "server" only came to the table 1 time!!! The crew manager came over & said she'd "take care of our bill" & only discounted it 50%... We weren't complaining to get free food, we just wanted them to knw how horrible the service was!!! Ppl came in after us & got food way before us... Worst service ever! But had a great time with great ppl... I think we should go every Sunday & ask for Buffy, the host, as our server... We did give Buffy a good tip for taking care of us... Server said she was horrible because she had picked up another table which is bullshit cause I'm a server & if you can't get to your table, you ask another server to go greet them or just take them, not ignore them!!! Surprised by previous reviews, definitely great place to hang out. Even in the snowing season, it was full of people and I loved the place, especially the service was fantastic. Despite large crowds, the waiters were able to take care of everybody in a nice way. I ordered personalised omelette and it was very tasty, sweet tea was also nice. I walked in with my family, only 4 of us. We were the 1st people in there, and the place was barely filled, and they kept skipping over us. The manager would start from of the bottom of the list just over looking us. There was tables empty, not being cleaned, but yet there were booths cleaned. The manager was very unprofessional. We really received horrible service from the server to the food. The server brought one drink to our 3 people. She kept forgetting the other 2 drinks. When our food came, it was not correct. Wouldn't return. Service was some of the worst I'd ever experienced. Didnt get acknowledged cor 10 minutes. First cup of coffee came 20 minutes later. Tea for my wife came but no cup to put it in. Food came but my wifes had to go back because it was made wrong. No silverware was on the table. The waiter said, "I got that." Did not see him for 5 minutes. I have been to this I hop multiple times now and every time I go here I have to wait at least 10 minutes just for someone to start waitering us. The most recent time I went there we were the only ones in the restaurant and no one attended us for 10 minutes. This location was out of just about everything I'm shocked they had pancake mix. No bananas, no ketchup,etc. they Decided to completely mess up our order. Took over 40 minutes to get our food which is like come on my great grandmother is faster in her grave. Waitress asked me to stack cups for the her. Once i did, she told me i stacked them wrong and i needed to fix it like dog im not in training do your own job, normally i do this anyways but this was just rude. The waitress kept cutting us off while we were ordering. The bathroom were absolutely repulsive. Smelled like a pig sty and the floors were stickier than a dogs behind. Dreadful Service. My husband and I have dined in twice. The first time was great but they have gone progressively downhill since their grand opening. This last time was horrific. While we watched tentatively as others who arrived after us were tended to, we sat for over 15 minutes just waiting (during a relatively slow time), our drinks were never refilled, and the bill was set down almost instantly. Then, we were overcharged and when we brought this to the attention of our waitress, who told us fruit was included, she referred us to her assistant manager and general manager who informed us of the same thing: "If bananas were included last time, you got the deal of the century. We never include fruit toppings on endless pancakes. I can't do anything." As I stated, the food is great but the service was abysmal. We will not be returning. read more

First, we thought we were lucky as there were only three tables occupied. Looking for fast service with great attention to our stay. But our party of five was wrong. It took ten minutes to get us coffee. We had to ask for refills and they gave us a thermos which was lukewarm. After forty five minutes our food came out. My sunny side up egg was half raw. The egg white wasn't cooked near the yolk. Can everyone say salmonella! On another plate the egg was burnt on the bottom. Another had cold hashbrowns. I came her last month and my god the experience was horrific. First off, we politely waited 35 minutes to get in and when it was our turn, the manager, James, angrily asked me if I was even paying attention to my phone. I looked and the notification that our table was ready said 1 minute ago...I mentioned this to him and he scoffed and lead us inside. I came with a group of friends and they had to seat us at different tables, which is understandable because of COVID. The same manager, when we got our table, told me I had to wait 1 minute to sit after my friends did because "I had to wait one min for you to look at your damn phone". Wow. My friends at the other table got their drinks right away while my table waited 40 MINUTES to get ours. When we finally got to order our food it took another hour and 20 minutes to come out, and when we started eating my friends at the other table were already done eating. We got seated at exactly the same time. The manager again, James, absolutely inappropriately grabbed my face and lips and asked "Is everything okay with your food?" I was so obviously uncomfortable that I jerked away from him and he walked away smiling. So unacceptable for him to have touched me in such a way first off because I'm obviously a minor woman and you should NEVER touch a woman like that without their permission, and we're in the middle of a PANDEMIC. I waited 10 minutes before I was seated in an almost empty restaurant. The hostess that seated me said nothing just took us to our table and set the menus down. After I was seated the server was over quickly and took my order right away. When she brought the drinks she forgot the silverware and apparently got lost getting some because it was 20 minutes before I could even stir my coffee. Have eaten twice at this location and they're either short staffed or lack proper training on which staff has what tables. Today was 2nd visit. We were seated right up by the main desk. The guy seating us was wonderful. No patrons were in the entire row of booths so I have no clue why we had to wait for a waitress. They were not busy at 1pm. I stopped the "manager" (she said but I am not sure because couldn't see her name) asking when would we get a waitstaff person. She was kind and apologetic and brought coffee and took our order. I had French toast and ham. My husband had a breakfast combo. The food came promptly and yet I didn't get the ham. I waited 5 mins, thinking should soon get the waitress. Never did. I stepped to the front desk, two steps away, and told 3 people I didn't get my side of ham. They all claimed right away it would be taken care of. It never was and when the bill came, this same "manager" was told and she accepted responsibility. we got a free breakfast which was nice. But this is twice I have had poor service and we are very patient people. We know they all work hard but, the food isn't THAT good that I excuse poor wait staff. Several LOOKED at us and NO ONE ever said " is there anyone helping you?" and we were in the front!!! OMG there were only 6 other tables with people. May 10, 2018 -On a Thursday evening at 7:00 the place was almost empty. That should have been my first clue. This was my third time visiting this iHop location in Flint on Miller Rd. since they opened. It will be my last! I waited at the door; there was no hostess, for longer than I should have since the place was almost empty. My waiter was very friendly when he took my order but then I couldn't find him when I needed him. The food! Yuk! Granted I didn't order pancakes, I had biscuits and gravy and eggs, and hash browns. They gravy tasted like warm flour and milk paste. It had no meat in it, it is served over sausage links. The biscuits were fried! FRIED! I ordered my eggs over medium (according to the chart on their menu) and they were so runny I had to send them back. When the new eggs arrived, the yolks were set but the whites were completely crispy. I mean Completely - how do you cook an egg like that? I ate the sausage links and hash browns (I don't think you can ruin frozen hash brown patties - Oh wait! I think this location could). The rest of the food was left on my plate. AWFUL!!! read more

Went to the IHOP finally, after waiting for a time when the restaurant wasn't jam packed. Monday morning at around 9:00 was when I visited with my wife and son. Atmosphere is very nice and new, no complaints there. The food was also very good, we all ordered the breakfast sampler combo plate. The service was not the best, not really even good. First off, as soon as my wife unwrapped the silver wear bundle, the "clean" silver wear was spotted with chocolate or something brownish that looked like chocolate.....YUCK!!! The coffee was late getting to the table, and when it arrived, it was semi warm and tasted burnt and just disgusting. We got a new one that was fine but half filled so it took a while to get another one after that.The waitress was friendly and pleasant, but the waitstaff needs to raise the bar a bit if they want customers to come back, especially when Miller road has a few excellent locally owned Coney Island restaurants very close to IHOP. My repeat patronage will go to Leo's Coney Island just up the road, they have awesome servers and the food is just as good or even better, plus the portion size is more generous. To start I am a very good tipper and respect the wait staff as I use to be one but I can tell you everything today made me feel like it was a mistake coming here!!! It took 10 mins to even be seated at a table I knew it was about to get worse. Another 5-10 to have a server over to take drink orders along with them not having ice cream for the shakes or just to lazy to go make it. Another 15 mins to get the drinks. I went into the bathroom only one stall had toilet paper it in and it was apsolutly gross. Came back out my friend had her coffee gone as the waitress passes by us 5-6 times not checking on drinks or if we needed to put in our food order. At this point I talk to the manager to ask why it's taking so long because of them being so dead I have no idea why it's taking so long and he said he would give us half off. As of now we have been here for 45 mins and have empty drinks and no food order put in so she finally came back with a horrible attitude and we tell her what we want and she takes menus still doesn't fill drinks or even apologize for taking forever. At this point 30-40 mins later we get half our order and one person left without food and she walks away from the table my food definitely sat out like they cook one meal at a time gravy dry on top and 2 plates of food cold and not even the complete order and no silverwear then we ask the manager for silverwear at this point I'm so close to walking out very bad attitude with the manager towards us and he walks back to what he was doing and after 5 mins with my boyfriend's half order of his food and my friend not even getting her meal yet and me not even having silverwear I was done and told them I was not eating this nasty food or dealing with the horrible service. And we walked out. If I could leave -5 stars I would. I will never be back to this location!!!! read more

Disappointed in this place. I have been to many ihops before and was not impressed. To start, when I asked the waitress if they had any flavored creamers for the coffee she said no and then rolled her eyes. Very unprofessional. When the food was brought out, the waitress couldn't remember who's was who's... pancakes were undercooked... automatic 18% gratuity was applied to our bill, not sure why... we had separate bills and when going to pay their system messed up and the whole bill was paid, they had to refund and redo... On top of it all, a server dropped a plate of hash browns and said "5 second rule" picked it up and took it to the back, not even 1 minute later and came out with, I'm assuming, a new plate of hash browns. (I know it takes longer than that to make hash browns). The manager was walking past our table with another employee and instead of talking to her in the back, like she should have, she told her that she needed to be more helpful next time. Very very unprofessional. I will not be returning her in the future with my family. read more

Couldn't wait for Ihop to open. Waited a while before going, any new place that opens is always busy at first. Went there last friday, had 4 different people bring out food and 4 different times. Wrong food for one out of 6 of us. Not bad. But at the same time, it seemed like no one knew what was going on. After we left, according to Ihop's website, kids eat free, not my kids. Paid for both of them. Probably to late to do anything. Then today go there. Kinda busy. Took 5 try to get my food correct. And no apologies or discounts.
