This is my second time eating at an IHOP. First time was in Florida. My family decided to visit the flint IHOP. We had a 15 min wait on a Sunday not bad but was placed on front of the bathroom and didn't notice until a odiferous smell encircled our table. I am still disgusted by the stench so grossed out. Probably can't come back. They literally don't know how to run a restaurant. Both time I have been there there were crazy waits even though the dining room was empty. Left the first time and the second time waited over 25 minutes for a basic order (in the middle of the afternoon with hardly anyone there). IHOP food is good, that's the reason for the two stars, but find another location. read more

Stopped by here at around 5 pm today for the first time to place an order to go. There were two tables with 4 people at each table, so I'm not sure why it took over 40 minutes to get a sandwich with fries, a chicken Caesar salad, and chicken strips appetizer. A woman came over to me and apologized and said my order would be discounted. I had already paid for the order but didn't get any money back. Another woman came over and apologized and gave me a 30% off coupon for the NEXT time I come back. Probably won't go back. The food was meh, looked like it had been dropped and the salad had no dressing. Plus, you can forget about trying to get on southbound I-75 from their parking lot. We went to the IHOP in Saginaw Saturday morning. We had forgotten what it was like to have a pleasant experience. Three people enthusiastically greeted at the front counter and immediately took us to our table giving us a choice. Our waitress, Melissa, quickly contacted us and took our orders. She was great. She conversed with us pleasantly throughout the meal.. our food was brought quickly and was very good. Excellent experience We have been to the Flint IHOP at least 4x and none of the above has ever happened. The last time we were there, there was no one to greet us. After they came, no greeting just wrote our name down. There was only about 5 seated tables in the room so it was not busy. Two employees were at the front arguing about who was going to service us. We waited about 10 minutes. Someone came in after us and had to write her own name down. Waitress barely spoke to us and the food was slow. Some friends showed up and said they had the same experiences. Go to Flint IHOP and plan on a whole morning. Barely any seating in the front. went in for a quick breakfast, ended up being there for an hour. 10 minute wait to be seen by a server, another 10 minutes to wait for drinks, food took 20 minutes (nothing special... Just eggs, hash browns and pancakes) asked for our check twice, never got it. just added everything up and left cash. the staff is friendly; I will say that. But there is 0 sense of urgency from anyone there. Not organized at all. First and last visit, if i have a craving for IHOP I will drive 30 minutes to the next closest location. Wasn't impressed with with my first experience at Ihop . Food was ok but cant really screw up pancakes too easily . The problem was the time it took to get the food . I could have mixed the pancake batter and cut up some strawberries made the strawberry sauce and whipped up some heavy whipping cream at home in the time it took to get my meal . Fortunately i had some time so it wasn't a huge problem . But for a simple breakfast way too long. Gave 3 stars only because food was good and waitress was about normal . Probably won't be going back too many others that are better and cheaper and a lot faster in the same area. . read more

Worst service ever. We walked out after waiting 20 minutes after being seated and did not have a waitress even ackknowledge us. We also had to wait to be seated even though lots of open tables. A lot of the staff stood around chatting not taking care of customers. Will not go there again. Would give zero stars if possible. read more

Tried this IHOP for the first time and can say with certainty that we will not be back unless they step it up tremendously. The service at the door was rude and slow. We were ready to order and were given our water and the waitress just dropped it and left. Needless to say we did the same. Would not recommend this restaurant. read more

We visited IHOP last Saturday. I had heard that the service was very poor, but I wanted to visit it myself. We gave the waitress our order and 5 minutes later she told us that since they weren't very busy, our order would be out very soon. Every time the waitress told us she would check on our order, she was sidetracked. We were visiting and didn't realize that we had waited about 35 minutes for our food. We decided we had waited 20 minutes longer than was necessary, so we left the restaurant. The next time someone tells me the service is poor, I will definately believe them. Needless to say, I will not vistit this place again. I could have made an omelet, eaten it, cleaned up and been out the door in the amount of time it took us to wait for our food. read more

My sister and I arrived at 10:00 to the Flint IHOP. One of the few places I can order an egg whites only omlet. Laura was our waitress and only 6 tables had customers. My sister's oatmeal arrived 30 minutes later along with my toast. I was informed by Laura that my omlet had been given to another customer. She said they would remake me one. After another 20 minutes my omlet arrived and Laura asked me if I'd like warm toast. I said yes as I planned to make an egg sandwich. As I waited for my toast I watched another customer get his toast and wondered how long does it really take to put in toast. My eggs got cold and my sister finished her meal. We also watched another table get up and leave from not being waited on. Mind you there were only 6 tables of customers. I asked for our waitress and once she arrived I asked her to remove my omlet from my bill that it now was cold, the toast never arrived and my sister was done with her meal. As if I had done something wrong she said she'd have to get the manager. The manager never came and Laura went ahead and took off the omlet. I had to call her back as they charged for the toast I never received. The manager should have come to our table and apologized for the lousy service. I will never go to the Flint IHOP again. I tried to do a review on their web page and it wouldn't let me. I gave it 1 star it said "eek I don't think so". REALLY! read more

Do not eat here. The only I am giving this one star is because 0 is not an option. I have literally never had a worse dining experience than I had at this IHOP. We got to the restaurant around 9 am on a Sunday, and the place understandably packed. We took this as good sign and chose to wait the 20 minutes for a table. We were seated within 20 minutes and the server came over and took our drink orders pretty quickly. 10 minutes later she returned with our drinks and took our food order. 30 minutes after she took our orders, we finally had to have someone find her so that we could point out that all of our drinks were empty (and had been for a while) and asked about our food. She said she would check on the food and instead walked over to where the all the other servers were standing around ignoring their customers and proceeded to talk with them for about 15 minutes right where we could see her. Finally, an hour after we ordered our food she brought out something sort of close to what we had ordered. Not wanting to wait for the server and kitchen to fix what they had messed up we just tried to eat what was brought. All of the food was cold, and the hash browns were still partially raw. We could tell that everyone else around us was getting similar service, and several other customers requested to speak with the manager, who seemed to be the focal point of the servers standing around and talking instead of serving their customers. Again, I have never had this bad of service at any restaurant in my entire life. I will never return to this place, and I suggest that you don't waste your time or money. read more
