The image shows a wooden floor with crumbs, a blue pen, and a piece of food, likely in a dining area of a restaurant or cafe.

I understand that sometimes things happen and servers get busy but the floor & table that they sat us was dirty, filthy & unsanitary. There was food everywhere & they served me on a dirty plate. It was my nephews birthday but they didn't get us his free stack of pancakes instead they gave him a small cup of icecream which was fine. i order a burger & replaced the buns with lettuce and they just gave me the bare patty with lettuce trimmings on the side. it was laughable but was not an enjoyable experience. we were forgotten & did not receive any refills. over all the experience was not pleasant.

The strawberry pancakes are terrific. I also really enjoyed the BLT in my latest visit. Service was good and quick. Coffee hit the spot. The atmosphere is a bit loud, but also exciting. I'll definitely return soon for a treat with family.

This was probably our best experience. Food was great, loved every bite. Our servers Sydney was amazing as Well. Very friendly and checked up on us at the right times. She's a gem, if you get her you'll have a great dine in experience. Overall 5 stars

Was seated and had to wait on the waiter/waitress Bacon was not Cooked all the way so asked for cooked bacon. Onion rings should always be golden brown and they are not.

What this ihop calls lightly done pancakes. Yes they call them both lightly done.

Sadly the cooks don't know how to prepare lightly done pancakes. The waitress doesn't check her food and serves them not as ordered. They did offer to remake them but really if they couldn't do it the first time my confidence level is not real high about that, and I like to eat with the rest of the table. There was an offer to comp them but since I ate the only light one and a couple others I didn't feel that was right. Had to ask for a drink refill. The manager is kind. The restaurant is clean. Makes me miss Illinois IHOP. Word that describes this 30$ visit best is disappointing.

Syrup choices and strawberry banana juice!

Came in to get breakfast food that I have been craving for a few days! Was not even remotely let down. Great service. Fast and accurate. Friendly. And large portions. I suggest the strawberry cross-croissant! The ooze is under going some facelift stuff but it is not at all messing with the experience.

We like this IHOP. They are generally fast, the food is good with many seasonal specialties and menu updates and they are good with kids that may be eating with you. Of course we usually get breakfast here any time of day, so I'm specifically speaking of those yummy breakfast options. From crepes to French toasts, the wonderful options abound.

Right as you walk in, you're greeted by a wall of epic mullet photos. We're talking glorious, vintage, feathered masterpieces--like a shrine to the greatest hairstyle in history. It's weird, it's wonderful, and it sets the tone for the rest of your experience. Now let's talk food. I had the avocado toast flight, and let me just say--it's not your average avo toast. Fresh, flavorful, creative toppings--each one better than the last. My friend got the chicken and waffles, and it was everything you want: crispy, fluffy, sweet, savory, and totally addictive. Top it all off with riverfront views, a breezy patio, cold drinks, and some of the friendliest service around, and you've got a place that's just begging to become your new favorite brunch spot. If you come to this Mullets location when there are activities at either the Fieldhouse or the diamonds/soccer fields, expect parking to be a nightmare. Norwalk just hasn't made enough parking spots for the complex as a whole and unfortunately, that has to be hard on these businesses. If you cannot find a spot, how are you supposed to come enjoy. When you do find a day that has ample parking, the interior is really spacious and can accommodate many. We've had friendly service with good attention both times I've been. If you are a "fancy" coffee drinker and that's what you're wanting, you won't find it here. They'll serve you a black coffee with some creamer and sugar options. I'm not a lover of their water cups. They are metal and so very cold to handle. They also sweat quickly so are very drippy. My husband loves them. To each their own. The breakfast food has been good both times. I got the Seafood Hash the first time and questioned it having cheese but figured they know what they're doing. It was yummy all together. I couldn't finish it all and it reheated well at home. The second time I had the Cinnamon Roll pancakes meal. Those pancakes were delicious! I took two of them home and they also reheated well. Mullets is a solid addition to Norwalk for breakfast.

It was easy to find right next to the Norwalk Fieldhouse and ball fields. There's a large lot so parking isn't an issue. We arrived at about 430 PM and were greeted right away as we walked in. Party of two. We were shown to a table in the front dining area. Seating is a combination of booths, low top tables and chairs, and a bar area with the standard bar seating we all know and love. The location is a pretty big space divided into basically four areas. A smaller front dining area by the host/hostess station, a larger mid dining area, the rear section is the bar area. The restrooms are in a small hallway to the Left of the bar. There's an arcade at the end of that hallway. Tillman (our server) popped over a minute or so after we were seated. He handed us menus and took our drink orders. We ordered two fountain drinks, a catfish po'boy with cheese curds, and a gringo burger with cheese curds. The sandwiches normally come with fries and there is an upcharge for other side options. The food was ready after a short wait. Tillman kept our drinks full. He pointed us to the arcade so we could go check it out before our food arrived. Everything was hot and fresh off the grill and out of the fryer! Tasted fantastic! The catfish po'boy reminded me a lot of the one I used to get at Wobbly Boots. Next time I'll ask if adding bacon is an option... Lol Tillman checked on us a few times to make sure everything was okay. Everyone we ran across was friendly and at least said hello. One of the managers checked on us about 2/3 of the way through our meal. It's standard table service. Ordering and payment were done through our server at the table. They take cash or cards. Our total came to $39 and change before tip. Being relatively new the place looks clean and while they weren't too busy multiple staff members were wiping down surfaces and preparing for their dinner crowd. A great first experience with Mullet's - Norwalk! And Tillman, from start to finish, was a big part of that...! Can't wait to get back to hit them up for breakfast! . https://mulletsnorwalk.com/ . https://www.facebook.com/share/15zt7tUmyf/?mibextid=wwXIfr

We started with a delicious Tupelo Margarita and a dark lager beer, from their good selection of tap beers. For our dinner, my wife ordered the Tupelo Shrimp & Grits (see picture) and I opted for the Smothered Chicken with cream corn and green beans (see picture) for sides. As we've come to expect from our visits to Tupelo Honey, both main dishes as well as the sides were delicious - chicken was crispy and juicy and both the Shrimp & Grits and cream corn were buttery and creamy. It wasn't cleaned at all for the duration of my almost hour visit which made me not enjoy the environment as much. There were also 7 other tables that were dirty around me and have all been empty since arrival - I've attached photo. Music was nice, corporate people dining here, moderate pricing. The Green Olive - Gyro mix takeout.

The Green Olive

5-Star Plus Plus Review: Green Olive at 1960 Grand Ave, West Des Moines, IA 50265…read more Green Olive absolutely delivered a meal that felt like comfort food and a special treat at the same time. I ordered the combo meal, and it was the kind of plate that makes you slow down and enjoy every bite because there is so much flavor and variety. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, with that perfect balance of warm spices that tastes rich without being too heavy. The beef had a deep, savory flavor and a satisfying bite, and the lamb was the real standout. It tasted clean, bold, and cooked just right, with that hearty, slightly smoky taste that makes lamb worth ordering. Every protein on the plate felt like it was prepared with care, not rushed. The rice was fresh and fluffy, and it did exactly what great rice should do. It held the meal together and soaked up the flavor from everything around it. Then came the best part, the variety of sauces. Each sauce brought something different. One added a creamy smooth finish, another gave a bright kick, and another brought that deeper, bold flavor that keeps you coming back for one more bite. I loved being able to mix and match because it made the meal feel like several meals in one. To finish, I had the cheesecake and coffee, and that was the perfect ending. The cheesecake was smooth, rich, and satisfying without being overly sweet. The coffee was warm, strong, and comforting, and it tied everything together like a great closing note. Bottom line: Green Olive gave me a full, flavorful, and well-balanced experience from the first bite to the last sip. If you want a meal that is filling, fresh, and packed with variety, the combo meal is the way to go. The staff were friendly and kind absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!

Striking Sparrow Lounge

I really can't leave anything but five stars for this review…read more.. I walked in and the bartender/host/our server was a dear friend and former co-worker of mine who I hadn't seen in years. It took me a few seconds to recognize her. She'd went from "a kid" to a young woman since I'd last seen her. I heard the Striking Sparrow Lounge has gone through an ownership and menu change recently. That didn't mean much to me since this was my first visit to any iteration of the Striking Sparrow Lounge. Lol I popped in for a quick lunch with a current co-worker and friend of mine. The parking lot is along the West side of SE 6th St and there are quite a few spaces available. Dala greeted us right away as we walked in. She called me out immediately. And like I said it took a minute for recognition to set in. I'm 55 now. Sometimes that happens. We took a seat at a low top table and chairs. There are high tops and booths available too as well as a long "L" shaped bar and barstools. Dala popped over and took our drink orders and gave us our menus. We ordered: 1x Fountain drink (Pepsi products) 1x Unsweetened ice tea 1x Smashburger (two patties) and fries 1x Tenderloin and fries 1x Onion rings The onion rings are hand cut and breaded. We tried them with the chipotle ranch. Served hot and fresh out of the fryer... Very good! Jeremy got the smashburger. He sets his bar for burgers at Lachele's level and comes to the Striking Sparrow Lounge as a regular for trivia on Wednesday nights. He said today's was one of the best burgers he's had here. It didn't disappoint! He's probably going to order the same when he goes back tonight. I got the tenderloin and I hate to beat the same drum, but it was very compareable to the one served at Lachele's too. I really like both! Thicker and fits the bun it's served on, not a hub cap, cooked perfectly and not dried out... The kind of sandwich you want for lunch and don't need a nap to recover from when you get back to the office. Fair warning. It's served with lettuce on it so if you are a pickles, onions, and mustard purest make sure you let them know to hold the lettuce. When you're literally a stones throw from B&B you better have a decent tenderloin and burger... Lol The fries were fantastic. A little thicker. Seasoned. Fresh and hot. I wouldn't be surprised if they were double fried. They had that unmistakable crisp to them... Dala was great. Attentive. Made sure everything was good and we had what we needed. But like I said...I'm biased. We're friends and it was really great seeing her again and catching up a little. Your mileage may vary... But I doubt it. She's just always been that kind of a person. Lol Standard table service. You can pay via Toast using a QR code on your receipt and ask about their punch card program. Buy nine pizzas and/or sandwiches and get the 10th one free. Don't quote me on that... Ask your server. I also heard from Jeremy the console video games might be free to play? I should have checked out the Galaga machine to verify that! If you've never made it over to Striking Sparrow Lounge... Stop by and check them out! If you haven't been in for a while... Maybe stop in and look over the new menu!
