Decided to take the wife for breakfast. We got our drinks and ordered our food. 40 minutes later wife got her plate with burnt hash browns and no butter on her toast. I got the pancakes from my order and that was all. My main plate never came. Sat and waited for nearly another 20 minutes and nothing. I tell a waitress to cancel my order and just charge me for the pancakes. And voila my order comes out. I sent it back. This place sucks! I would give it zero stars but you can't do that. Don't go here!!! read more

Service was fast, food was delicious, and the ambiance was very welcoming thanks to Janet and the new manager Roman.

I had a great time eating at the restaurant. The waiters janet and manager were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that you have an awesome customer service.. Most importantly, every food and drink on your menu tasted great! read more

Our order took 25 to 30 minutes to get it When they served it it was barely warm and the cheese want even melted and worst of all the omelet was tasteless we will never be back read more

We recently had breakfast here and we had the best service. Our waitress had about 10 tables or more to attend to and yet she was so attentive to us. She was working hard and I appreciated her for that. We had our 1 year old with us and she immediately got her a high chair. I was craving coffee and iced tea...I can never decide whether I want hot or cold. Gotta have both. So she brought out my tea and gave me the whole pot of coffee! Love when places do that! I had the veggie omelet. It was perfect. My hunny had chicken Alfredo crepes (I think that's what they're called) and it sounds funky but it was delicious! I enjoyed his more than my omelet and veggie omelets are my fave. I had to order pancakes just so I could try all 4 syrups. Love that butter pecan! (That sounds fat of me now that I'm admitting it....but no shame in my game! I am addicted to all things condiment!!) Everything was delicious and cooked the right way. Good job ihop! read more

I recently went to IHOP in Delano and promptly greeted by the hostess Rica though I work there I had a Great experience My server was Africa Great Job team Food was great! read more

If you want to call ahead and make an order be aware that they will place you on hold for more than 5 minutes when they're not even busy. After you finally get your order taken they dont even tell you how in how long the order is going to take. And if you make a special request like adding more bacon or sausage to your meal they will completely ignore your request and do what they want to do. Their French toast compared to the ihops French toast in Bakersfield is very dry and not the same flavor as the one in Bakersfield. read more

Very kind and attentive service and staff. Food was good, came out quickly. Staff was very friendly and made you feel welcomed. I would definitely go back and recommend read more

My son and I are traveling from Bakersfield to Modesto, so we decided to stop in Delano to eat dinner at the IHOP. It was not too busy, but there was only one waitress, working she was the host, bussing tables , waitresses and cashier and she was doing her best and all smiles. She definitely could have used some help. food was questionable. read more

As of right now, It's been at least 30 minutes since we've ordered our food. We ordered our food at about 3:42 PM and now it's 4:15 PM. We asked our waitress (Kimberly) to check on our food and now she's avoiding us taking care of to go orders and seating customers. She has yet to tell us what's the situation with our food. This honestly makes no sense. Just let us know what's going on rather than just leaving us in the dark. Will most likely not come back or at least request not to be served by the same server again. Update 4:19: we just got our food and the food isn't even hot, it's warm. Not a pleasant experience this time around with this location. read more

I hope you love cold food and rude service because coming here you'll get exactly that!! P.s. come with a lot of time because they take forever to take out your food!! read more

My daughter and I both ordered fish and chips. We were told that they didn't have any Tartar Sauce so I asked if they the following: mayonnaise, red onion, dill pickles and the waiter said "yes" so I suggested that the cook make some. Minutes later our waiter returned with a pretty good example of Tartar Sauce. We both enjoyed it and the fish which was really moist. We were a little confused as it took two different waitresses and one waiter to finish bringing our complete order. But what I really disliked was wait staff sitting and talking at a table near the kitchen door. I'm sure it was because it was early and they were very very slow when we were there. The fun part of the evening was the waiter asking me if I wanted a job because they needed a cook. read more

Food is delicious, but every time I go they seem to always mess up my order.. either they forget to give me some items I ordered, or usually just an incorrect order. prefer to pick up my food than dine in. Customer service is not exceptional, but it'll do.. read more

Sad to say but my experience was terrible, to begin the waitress was slow with our drinks. While waiting for our last meal, she was just standing there talking to other guests, not paying attention nor actually doing her job. Our food came out cold as it had been left to sit there. We also waited about an hour for our food to arrive, our omelette arrived 15 minutes later. Also cold, we spoke with the manager; she insisted we pay nothing. We told her we'll pay for our drinks and go. In the end we were charged for a breakfast sampler (we had touched none of the food) and 4 drinks which came out to thirty dollars. Even then they took their sweet time to give change, claiming they had none. We went in at 11am and came out at 1pm. read more

Horrible customer service on take out orders. Food was not done at the time stated online. Also, if they don't have a topping they don't even tell you, they just assume you'll be ok with the changes. Food was cold & gross total waste of time/ money. read more

You think for being slow , you'd get your food fast and hot but total opposite. Waited an hour for cold ass fucking food, and for what ? The business is dead read more

This place is very bad just in general bad service long wait times don't expect to be seated for an hour or more the host lies about the time that you'll be seated. Small tables can't even sit comfortably and the food is just horrible don't recommend go to Denny's or general cafe.. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at IHOP, we are out of town and we stopped to get some breakfast. We got sat down right away and got our drinks. I totally understand most restaurants are under staffed because of COViD but there's no reason why someone should be sitting down and wait for 15 mins while my husband is trying to get the attention of waitress and they walk by and ignore him. Manager looked over at our table and instead of saying something begins taking the order of the table that came in after us. After finally giving up trying to get someone's attention, we decided to get up and pay for our drinks. I wasn't expecting anything for free. I just wanted to pay and leave before I told someone off. My husband started explaining to the girl at the register how we were ready to order and no one stopped by to get our order. No one apologized or seemed sorry which tick me off more. Obviously you don't get the same service every where. If you're ever in Delano save yourself the hassle of being ignore and stop at Jennys Cafe where they care for their customers. For such a big chain restaurant you guys need to train your staff to give a damn about their customers. read more

We were greeted and seated quickly. Our drinks were delivered while we decided what to order. Our server, Maria, delivered the food promptly. Food was prepared well, and was delicious. Restaurant and restrooms appeared clean and well maintained. read more

We went to IHOP for lunch on opening day, when we arrived they were on a small wait which we expected for grand opening. Believing that a restaurant would be fully staffed with workers, trainers and managers I did not expect to wait 18 minutes to receive our appetizer which the chicken came out raw and cold inside. When we sent it back the manager blew it off saying "cooks are training and must have pushed the wrong timer" really? You could have killed me serving me wrong chicken. Didn't even take it off ticket not that I wanted anything for free. Waited another 30 minutes for our lunch to be delivered and had to ask server for my salad that I ordered with my wrap. Many tables around us complaining of long wait times and cold food. I will wait to go back and try again when they work out all the kinks of opening. read more

Applaud the receptionist, but still sub-par food. Ordered burgers no cheese, they made with, then apparently just scraped off cheese no new burgers cold as hell. Sat in lobby for scraped burgers, no sauce at this point . Yuk! read more

I was on the hold for more then 10 minutes. When the person got back on the phone they were talking to other customers. I finally put my order in. When I went to pick up my order they completely got everything wrong. They over charged me and gave me a completely different order. I had ordered strawberry crepes and they couldn't even get that right. I will not be going back. I get that they were busy, but to completely get my entire order wrong after I repeated my order to them over the phone is ridiculous. read more

I was visiting my hometown for the weekend and had noticed an IHOP in town. I wanted to try it since I just drove from LA to visit family and have yet to eat breakfast. I normally don't like food chains other than in-n-out, but I was starving. I came here on a busy Sunday with my nephew and niece and waited an hour! The line moved a-bit faster than expected due the amount of people constantly leaving. I've waited in lines several times (close to 2 hours) so it didn't bother me much. If you ever go to the South Bay, check out pancake house in Redondo beach.. or Ci-Ci's in Tarzana, the lines are horrendous but well-worth the wait if you're a breakfast person. Anyways, once we got in, we were greeted by our waitress. She seemed friendly. I don't know why the negative reviews here on yelp, but my experience here was quite pleasant. I got the stuffed french toast and my nephew and niece got the red velvet pancake and waffles. We all enjoyed our food. Even though it was a busy Sunday, our waitress was very attentive and helpful. IHOP is a great breakfast addition to Delano if you're tired of Perkos and Denny's. read more

Been going here a few months now and it has been good. Today, though, was pretty upsetting. They served at least 3 other parties who were seated after us before we got our food, they got my order wrong, the toast didn't come even though we asked twice and even spoke with the manager. Waiters were nice, though, so that's what the 2 stars are for. read more

Went for dinner tonight at IHOP and I order a burger and fries. At first glance the burger looked really good. I took one bite and realized something was off in the taste. I looked at the burger and the hamburger patty was raw inside. It looked like they had seared the outside but the inside was not cooked at all. I took it to one of the staff and then my waitress came to the table. I know it was not her fault and she apologized but then said well the cook is in training. Not an excuse. I cancelled my order and they took it off the bill. They even cooked a new one but I was out of mood for it by then. So if you go to IHOP and order a burger, make sure you ask for it to be well done. read more

Hands Down best IHOP I've ever eaten at. Food was hot and fresh and cooked to perfection. Honestly I'm used to ihop food comin out semi warm , and kind of false tasting like fast food. But my food was definitely something like a home cooked meal. I'm big on breakfast , wish I could have tipped more but I didn't bring enough cash with me. Thank again! I never write reviews on Yelp, good or bad. However, my experience here definitely deserves a post. In fact, if I had to describe my experience in one word it'd be misery because that's the mood they brought to our table. We waited over an hour to get our food when all we ordered was one omelette and two orders of chicken strips. When the food finally came out, the omelette was burnt to a crisp which didn't even look appealing to consume. We waited another 20 minutes for the new order to be replaced. Then we asked for napkins and utensils because those were never brought out... waited another 15 minutes for that. Then we asked for ketchup and guess what? Even more time added to the wait. That took about 10 minutes. At this point I was keeping track of time on purpose. My assumption was that they were short staffed but it sure didn't look like it. I always try to give dining staff the benefit of doubt because I used to be a server, so I get it. Definitely not short staffed because everyone was standing around and there were plenty of empty tables along with people getting their food before us when we saw them come after we've already been seated. Only reason I'm giving this place ONE star is because I'm unable to give a 0 star rating. I've never been so disappointed in a dining establishment. I've already told my friends and family to never go here and will continue to spread the word. If you're craving this type of food and are in Delano, try Denny's. Hopefully it won't take 1.5 hours to get your food there. Thank you IHOP for completely ruining our day and wasting our time. read more

Food was cold! Hash browns raw, pancakes cold and hard, the server told us she couldn't sit us till we all had our masks on ok that's fine. But as we where getting ready to pay she Sat a couple that didn't have any masks on. She didn't tell them they needed their mask to be seated??? So I guess they can pick and choose who they want to be an a jerk with. Not worth the time or money! Go else where!!! read more

Customer service is terrible at this place! Our server, Lorena, kept excusing herself for our wait because according to her she was stuck on another table; business was slow so we didn't know why they were making us wait. Lorena was rude; when we were placing our order she kept saying "WHAT!" She seemed hard of hearing. We will definitely not be back. read more

They seem to have ironed out the glitches that every new restaurant encounters. We have been here several times and they have consistently provided excellent service. The omelettes and the tres leche pancakes are to die for! Absolutely delicious. The wait time for our food was excellent during our last visit, considering the large group of people we were with. We especially appreciate the attentive, courteous service that we received. Excellent choice for breakfast if you're passing through the 99 freeway. Everyone in our party of 20 enjoyed their meal. read more
