Came here on a Sunday morning. Parking around the restaurant. There are 2 ways in and out. We only waited about 5 minutes for a table. Restaurant was clean. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The prices are very affordable when it seems like everything is expensive. There are a lot more items on the menu than I expected. I went with the Cinn-A-Stack Pancakes. The pancakes were light and fluffy but also tasted like a Cinnabon. It was very sweet and filling. I had a bite of my wife's egg sandwich and that was very good. Will definitely return to try sone other items. read more

This was our first time at this IHOP location. We stumbled upon this IHOP because Denny's was closed down up the road but definitely glad we stopped here. Waitress was attentive and quickly took our order and within a few minutes our order was served. Breakfast and appetizers were delicious for sure. We're from CT so we'll come back; there's also plenty of parking. We definitely recommend this IHOP location. read more

These guys do the best they can this place is packed non stop. The servers were friendly and tried super hard to get the food to you. The food was pretty good. French toast was cooked nicely on thick and fluffy bread with the strawberry topping and the chocolate chip pancakes never disappoint. Another great Easter Sunday Brunch at IHOP. We enjoy this location and the management is great. All the servers are attentive, respectful and friendly. We came here early on a Friday morning, because we figure it would be quieter than a Sunday brunch. It's 2 adults and a stroller. We were told it was a 10 min wait which is fine. The hostess said she was looking for the perfect table since we had a stroller. 3 parties who came after us were seated before us and we said if it's earlier we will put the stroller back to the car. They said they will seat us right away. We were seated in a back room that's had only 1 server in the sections and we hear her complaining about how she has to do all the tables by herself because they rest of the restaurant isn't being seated. She had 4 tables (parties of 5 or more) and saw her take orders and clear the table. I feel that the room should have been adequately staffed. Ultimately another server came to take our order after 15 mins of sitting. Lindsay was pleasant she apologized for the delay and she took our order down. I ordered over hard eggs with cheese the came out over easy. I brought this to Lindsay's attention and was more than happy to correct the mistake. They remade my eggs and slapped a piece of sliced cheese on it (it was still cold from the fridge) haha they didn't even try to melt it. I will NOT be back. read more

My fiancé and I ate there one morning after I got off of work for my 13 hour shift., there was only one other party in attendance when we arrived although the food got there, pretty promptly, the waitress had an attitude, and was exceedingly antsy to get away from us when we made requests for condiments .When her coworker ( another waitress) entered it restaurant, she popped some sort of pill in her mouth for my experience and her appearance. She looked to be an addict of some sort, they both huddled together then our waitress sent out side and quickly returned.. it was all odd.. completely ruined my appetite. Question my sanity for coming there in the first place, I discarded my food. We paid our bill and I won't be returning. read more

Food quality / price (value) rating 3. The atmosphere is typical for an IHOP. I waited years for an IHOP to open in Danbury because I have always enjoyed their pancakes. I've now been here about five times, and the place has always been almost empty. This visit, I arrived here around 8:30 am, and stood by the "please wait to be seated" sign for several minutes while the one server on rhe floor apparently finished her cigarette. I was then instructed to "sit anywhere you'd like". I was the sole customer in the place, and it was still several minutes before I was greeted and given a menu and coffee. I always order the strawberry and banana pancakes. It took a long time to get them, and by the time they were served, they were lukewarm. The whipped cream was very liquid like, as if it had been frozen, and when I pointed this out, I was told "that's how our whippped cream is". When I stated that I've been coming to IHOP for 60 years and never had whipped cream served that way, they brought me whipped cream (that seemed to be okay) in a paper cup, apparently assuming that I wanted to eat my breakfast topped with the aforementioned liquid cream on top . I still attempted to eat the pancakes, which were lukewarm, and the strawberry "sauce", made from frozen ingredients, tasted funky. I chose to end my attempt at breakfast at that point and asked for my check. I was given a bill for $2.99 for the half cup of coffee I'd had, left a dollar tip, and proceeded to the register to pay, where I stood alone for more time. I gave the person a $10 bill, and, after several more minutes, was handed a $5 bill as change. When I pointed out that I was owed more change for my $10, I was given one more dollar and told that they didn't have any more change to give to me. I then took my dollar tip from the table as change, left, and wrote this review. I will come back here in hope that these issues are addressed because I love IHOP, but if I suffer a similar experience again, that will be my last visit read more

This is a Newly Built IHOP in Danbury, CT. One thing I love about IHOP is the Buttermilk pancakes taste the same as it did the first time I ate them at IHOP over 30yrs ago as they are Delish!! I previously posted a 1 star review on this IHOP and now feel I should update it to a solid 3 stars. I had no intention of returning to this location after 2 terrible experiences. However, my son had gone to breakfast at this IHOP several times and had a much different experience. Deciding to see firsthand if there were improvements, my husband and I gave it another try. This time was greatly improved. We were seated immediately and our server had coffee to us in minutes. She took our order promptly and food arrived quickly. The reason I decided 3 stars instead of 4 is that after the food arrived we were somewhat forgotten. We had asked for well done bacon and it was droopy and soggy. We asked if it could be cooked longer and it came out exactly the same. Everything else we ordered was good though. Fresh and tasty as you'd expect from IHOP. Also, it took another 15 minutes to get our check when we were done, and it wasn't busy in the restaurant. Overall, it looks like this location is working out the kinks and is showing potential to get better. The effort seems to be there and I would definitely go again. read more

You should probably just stop at the Dennys nearby. Sitting at a table near the front door the restaurant smelled like sewage. The bathroom though smelled just fine, which was unexpected. Staff was not very friendly. once we were seated took about 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee, and the place was only about 20% occupied. I asked about the pancake and egg combo special ( which is being advertised on tv as the rooty tooty combo for $6) and she pointed me to the 11.99 version on the menu. she never even acknowledged the current special being run. lastly, pancakes were "ok" but rest of the items were either cold (hash brown) or tiny portions ( 2 skimpy pieces of bacon). $40 for 2 people, I'll head to the local diners again. read more

On 3/5/23, As hard as the server tried, the kitchen took over an hour to start to prep. We walked out after an hour of waiting. There were barely any costumers. Week later did IHOP in Norwood MA and they were great. Great service and food. When you walk in there is a weird smell. I know this smell all too well bc where I teach in DC, my whole class smells the same--like backed up plumbing or sewage. Turns out, when DC renovated the old school, they cut costs and did not update old pipes etc. 1st sign a restaurant might not be so great, is the fact that by 1:45 in the afternoon, we were the only patrons. The 2 women were nice enough, polite and made small talk, but clearly addicts. Meth most likely. It was sad. My party and I considered leaving, but seriously addicts have kids and bills too, so I said, "No let's just stay." I would have felt really bad getting up and leaving. The waitress bought me my coffee and it was hot and strong. I'm currently waiting on my crepes so I will update this later. Side note, this might sound awful, but the smell goes away once you're sitting for 5 minutes......Update--while it wasn't the "greatest," the food was good and I was hungry, so I ate all my crepes. the pork sausages were not cooked enough to my liking. I sent them back and they came back hot, but still not well done. All in all, was it good? No. Was it bad? No. Will I come back? No. Take your chance, you might get lucky. If management reads these, they should definitely fix the sewage/plumbing issue, and next you HAVE to hire more experienced and professional wait staff. This restaurant is not up to the expectations of a good IHOP. I have been there twice since they opened and they still can't get the orders correct. Customers can be heard complaining of missing items or poor preparations of the orders. My bill was mis tallied both times. They don't have enough people working as servers and the dishes could be cleaned better. I am so disappointed and don't expect to go there again. There are better choices in Danbury. read more
