I had the chance to looked over the menu , and for me personally , nothing on the menu came off as far as a "I NEED TO TRY" item. I still had planned to try and see if I would be surprised. While out running errands and attending appointments, I was in need of quick togo (can eat in the car while I drive between my appointments. Located in cedar hill across from the Walmart , I want to say it's in the same suite that the Hendersons Chicken was in, but I'm not 100% sure... Parking was limit , due to surrounding businesses . I was still lucky enough to catch someone who was parked directly in front of the restaurant leaving. I walked in around lunch time , the establishment was empty. Has an old school hip hop feel to it . Menu on the wall, a couple of high bar tables for dinning In, and the coolest rap booth with handing mic prop !!! Guy who was standing behind the counter at the time of my visit (maybe manager/owner) was on laptop with another gentleman.. I received No greeting / acknowledgment, although I was definitely seen/looked at . A Really sweet girl with a puff ball ponytail came from the back to get my order. I explained to her I just wanted something quick that I could snack on while I drive , and I asked about the fries with meat . And requested what she recommended between the two that she told me about ( one with ground beef and the other with jerk chicken). Jerk chicken it was !!! She suggested cheese , but I'm lactose intolerant, I knew I would be out and about for a while , and eating while I drive between meetings/appointments, so I didn't want anything too messy. Order came out quickly , nice and hot .. and she gave their house sauce to go with the jerk chicken fries, which to me was a 2 out of 10 because I'm not a huge fan of sweets, and it reminded me of teriyaki sauce. Fries were too crunchy, and that's my own personal opinion/problem. Because The menu clearly states crispy fries. I just personally don't like crispy fries. The jerk chicken was as tasty! But if I could make a recommendation, I'd say that the jerk chicken fries would hit real hard if the chicken was shredded instead of cubed . It wasn't a bad experience at all. I looked over the menu a couple of times and nothing just says I gotta have or try it , in my opinion. I'm not likely to return , and that's just because I'm not into /familiar with the type of food that they serve . Do i recommend others to try ? Absolutely, especially if you aren't familiar with this type of food . May just be a huge hit for others .

Service was TOO FAST in my opinion and I was right. I ordered the Salmon Philly,6 Mango Jerk wings and a strawberry shake. The Salmon Philly was good. Piping hot, Big chunks of Salmon, tasted fresh. The wings were warmed over, almost mushy. The fries were horrible, limp, cold, unseasoned. The milkshake was decent.

The man at the front counter Dontavious or something like that was terribly unfriendly, he had a smart attitude, smart remarks when asked questions and it was obvious he did not want to be there. We asked about the toppings, he said "look at the menu, what you see here." I asked him if Military discounts were taken, his response to me was "No and I am good with that" and went on to say "there are other restaurants around here that do, go to one of those." I was shocked at his response. As we dined in and watched, he treated everyone that came to the counter this way and the patrons discussed it amongst ourselves. I do not want anyone to lose their jobs, but he obviously is not suited for customer service.

FIRST TIME AT THIS LOCATION!…read more In town for golf and came here with our group of 7 for an early dinner. Service was meh. Our server was not very friendly or patient. Approached our table and took our order as if she was dealing with her annoying little brother and his friends. Odd, considering we were all quite friendly and very chipper. The cheese sticks were good, but becs of their twisty shape, they separated and broke easily. Pleasing to look at, a pain to eat. We were not offered any fries while we waited. The fries that came with my meal were not hot and fresh and limp, tbh. I had to ask for some of their Campfire dipping sauce, which is automatically provided at my store location in San Antonio. The drink refill I requested MULTIPLE times did not come and dice we were winding down, I asked our server if she could please just make it to go. She seemed surprised it didn't come to me and promised to bring one to-go for. My plight and our server's shortcomings became the joke of the night! Our meal ended, the table emptied and I sat there alone determined to get my drink and can you guess I had to ask AGAIN?! She apologized and I stood near the kitchen to make sure I walked out of there with cup in hand. Ughhh. Not a good experience.

Fajitas and good times!…read more I saw this place initially advertised on facebook with their $1.99 margarita's. I mean ONLY $1.99?! Decided to go here for lunch since it wasn't that far from me. Definitely a hole in the wall GEM. So many specials and the prices are very reasonable from breakfast-lunch-dinner. They start you off with chips, queso and salsa. One of my first times seeing 'queso' as a dish along with salsa. Usually it's an extra charge. I had the mango margarita which was pretty good! Happy Hour is from 2-10p Monday-Thursday, and lunch specials are served ALL DAY! I had the Tuesday special which was Trio Fajitas (beef, shrimp, chicken) with beans and rice - only $14.75. The meat was very flavorful but wasn't a big fan of the refried beans. Plenty of food, especially for the price. The staff was kind, explained the specials without asking and gave their suggestions. I'm surprised this place isn't as packed with the prices they advertise. A quiet establishment during lunch hour. I will definitely be coming back.

I was genuinely excited to try this spot. When we arrived around 1 pm on a Thursday, the place was empty. They mentioned that we had just missed the lunch rush. There is a large field out back with lots of picnic tables, so I can absolutely imagine this place getting busy and lively. It just was not bustling while we were there. We ordered a two meat plate with ribs and brisket, along with elote and mac and cheese. We also added hot honey wings and tallow fries. I really wanted to love it more than I did. The sides were barely warm, the brisket was a bit too tough for my taste, the fries were too skinny (also barely warm) and the wing skin was softer than I prefer- he wings have potential - I would have loved them crisped up before being sauced. Overall, the food landed in the middle for me. That said, the interior is super cute and has a welcoming vibe, and the guy working the register was very friendly. I am glad we made the drive and checked it out, especially on such a pretty day in Cedar Hill.

Small parking lot but love they have plenty of outdoor seating as well as seating on the inside. Can't wait to check out the outdoor seating in the summer. The young lady at the front was very welcoming and friendly as soon as I walked in. The ambiance is a southern down home type feel. Very relaxed, good music and gives the Texas vibe. Now - the star of the show: the food! Smoked wings 7/10: a little undercooked for my preference but nice smoke flavor. I did get the hot honey sauce on the side but not a fan of the flavor. Maybe I'll try these with the sauce next time because it may help add flavor to the wings. The ranch was homemade - which was good. Elote 8/10: this was really good and hard for me not to eat the entire thing! Great flavor and nice portion size. Baked beans 6/10: not my fav side and I'm used to slightly sweeter baked beans. These had a tart taste - not bad or sour just not sweet enough for me. I'd definitely come back and try the barbecue next time.
