    Breakfast Sampler was aight.
    Stephanie D.

Tull had a fairly decent breakfast sampler and ihop pancakes are always good but the chicken tenders I ordered were criminal. If I had been in the restaurant I'd have sent them back and I never do that. And it wasn't because the food was delivered, the breading was weird looking and they were way over cooked. Also the ranch sucked. Pass.

For the life of me, I never can understand slow and inattentive service when a restaurant it's not busy. When I walked into IHOP, I stood at the counter , Waiting to be seated, and a woman came in after me stood behind me. As the host walk back up to the counter, she did not agree anyone instead she says. " who was first" No hello, no smile no customer service. The woman behind me points to me and they seat me. My server comes over and I already knew what I wanted to eat which was a crêpe combo. Swedish crapes eggs over easy and bacon. I noticed a lot of servers standing around and even a crowd of people in the kitchen, however took 45 minutes for my food to come out and it was cold. I never drank my water, because there was something floating in it, and there was something stuck to the outside of my glass. My plates were also dirty on the bottom. I was so hungry I did eat the potatoes and eggs room temperature but I was not going to settle for a cold crêpe so I asked her to take it back and she offered to put it in the microwave. I told her no ma'am I would like a fresh crêpe . I am new to this area, so I hope that the service will get better because I enjoy going to IHOP but I didn't enjoy this experience .

Bacon cheese burger . I guess you can say With the cheese on the side even tho it wasn't ordered that way ..

I have mixed feelings when making a review about this establishment, especially this particular location (Cedar Hill).. when dinning in I seriously and almost never have any issues whatsoever. Now there's a huge difference when placing my orders Togo . It's almost as though they have not one care or appreciation for their Togo clientele/customers. I frequent here and I have been a regular for over a decade. Ive enjoy always my dine in experience despite the delay on food delivery depending on the day of the week. I gave 3 stars for my in house service . Food is always fresh and hot disregarding the wait time for food arrival . But the lack of 2 stars is targeted at the Togo department. Food is always served with a lack of care and compassion.

    Overcooked omelet

My omelette was cooked really bad on one side of eggs, not hardly any mushrooms & eggs)which is what I'm suppose to have. Missing components of the omelette. (Hollandaise sauce) Waitress never came back to see if we needed anything else. Only thing worth eating were the side of hash browns. Never coming back to this location!

    Watered down orange juice.

This location has went downhill. I use to love this location. Service is slow as hell. Tables are dirty. This can't be the same staff. The place wasn't crowded but it took forever for the food to come out. The red hair greeter looked like she didn't want to work and had an attitude. Now if you are a man her attitude was more pleasant. The cook was in the back whistling I guess for the waitress to pick up the order. It's very annoying. If they don't fix any of this I can see this place closing. They need a clean up service crew so the waitresses don't have to do it all. Coffee and orange juice was watered down. The food tasted okay. The waitress we had was pleasant. They other staff was just loud and unprofessional.

This is the mess I received. Spinach & Mushroom Omelette

I ordered my meal on line to be pickup at cedar hill supposed to be ready at 1:45pm arrived at type appropriate time food not ready. Went to home depot returned at 2:18pm order still wasn't ready. The restaurant is not busy received my meal at 2:21. Unacceptable.

Burnt French toast with a lemon on the side ?
    Liz D.

Waited for a very long time for our food, an 1 hr and 45 min for our food. Ordered French toast with blueberries and they brought burnt French toast with a lemons on the side with just a couple blueberries. Never coming to this IHOP again.

Servers/waitresses don't communicate to the customer or themselves. And when they do i could barely hear them. They need to speak up.

Customer service was horrific. Servers were so rude. Seems like management doesn't care who they hire. Will never be going back.

Decided to go here for lunch since it wasn't that far from me. Definitely a hole in the wall GEM. So many specials and the prices are very reasonable from breakfast-lunch-dinner. They start you off with chips, queso and salsa. One of my first times seeing 'queso' as a dish along with salsa. Usually it's an extra charge. I had the mango margarita which was pretty good! Happy Hour is from 2-10p Monday-Thursday, and lunch specials are served ALL DAY! I had the Tuesday special which was Trio Fajitas (beef, shrimp, chicken) with beans and rice - only $14.75. The meat was very flavorful but wasn't a big fan of the refried beans. Plenty of food, especially for the price. The staff was kind, explained the specials without asking and gave their suggestions. I'm surprised this place isn't as packed with the prices they advertise. A quiet establishment during lunch hour. I will definitely be coming back.

The smoke from the kitchen basically consumed the dining area and was very irritating. It eventually dissipated after a while, but I wouldn't recommend infants in this environment. After our party was seated, it took 15-20 min before our waiter greeted us and provided water; that was a bit annoying. After we got our orders in, things were smooth sailing from there. We were a large party and our waiter did a pretty good job at managing us and all of our requests. Food: they do not waste time bringing the food out. Most of our orders came out within 10 minutes! I ordered the Short Rib (unfortunately not pictured). It was hot, tender, and seasoned well....very good. It came on a bed of rice and some type of sauce. I was not a fan of either. The rice seemed uncooked and the sauce was too much and very liquid. It drowned the rice and practically made it soupy. I would have been fine with just the short rib. I also ordered a side of black eyed peas... also not a fan. It was undercooked and I didn't love whatever seasoning was used to prepare it. Other items I tried: Fries, Cornbread, Yams, and Soul Rolls. These were all tasty, specifically the soul roll. It came out crispy, hot, and stuff proportionately. I could take every bit of what was inside. It's definitely a must try.

The service was excellent, the smoky dry ice upon arrival was a hit along with the warm towels to clean our hands. The chef even walked around greeting guests. The restaurants decor is classic cotton club era, cute and classy but also has tvs mounted playing classic shows. The ambiance is casual. The menu prices could be adjusted downward but it was a nice experience. I'd recommend if you're in the mood for soul food. The sweet potato cornbread was the best!

FIRST TIME AT THIS LOCATION!…read more In town for golf and came here with our group of 7 for an early dinner. Service was meh. Our server was not very friendly or patient. Approached our table and took our order as if she was dealing with her annoying little brother and his friends. Odd, considering we were all quite friendly and very chipper. The cheese sticks were good, but becs of their twisty shape, they separated and broke easily. Pleasing to look at, a pain to eat. We were not offered any fries while we waited. The fries that came with my meal were not hot and fresh and limp, tbh. I had to ask for some of their Campfire dipping sauce, which is automatically provided at my store location in San Antonio. The drink refill I requested MULTIPLE times did not come and dice we were winding down, I asked our server if she could please just make it to go. She seemed surprised it didn't come to me and promised to bring one to-go for. My plight and our server's shortcomings became the joke of the night! Our meal ended, the table emptied and I sat there alone determined to get my drink and can you guess I had to ask AGAIN?! She apologized and I stood near the kitchen to make sure I walked out of there with cup in hand. Ughhh. Not a good experience.
