Chilaquiles

A good place for the extended menu. I'm not sure if other IHOPs have similar cuisine, that is a full array of omelets to include Mexican inspired ingredients. Mechaca and Eggs. Mechaca Omelet. Chilaquiles. Chorizo con Huevos. The good stuff. We were guided here on the way through. Do give it a try. CritDicks

Service was excellent, our server was attentive and took good care of us. The food was well prepared and tasted good. There are booths and tables and it was comfortable having dinner. This location is a complete opposite to the Simi Valley location.

Went this Sunday 1/11/26 and there was a min 10 wait. Food was good and service by Mrs Rosie/ Rosa was exceptional. Very nice, sweet and always with a smile asking if our order was going well.

The food was really good but the service was not. We had one guy put his hand up at us when we tried to wave him down for water. Also if the table asks for water, don't only give it to one person. So for a $50 breakfast for two I expected more at a sit down. It was really loud. The workers were blasting their own music to where I couldn't hear my SO. I wish I could've sat on the other side of the restaurant but we weren't given a choice of where to sit even though there were plenty of options. For the workers being seasoned, they acted like fast food or gas station employees.

Keeping in mind this is an IHOP, I had a nice breakfast here that my niece chose as her first meal of the day on her birthday! I hadn't been to an IHOP in forever, so I went with a classic 2x2x2 with eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. The pancakes tasted great and we all enjoyed our breakfast. I also liked the iced cold brew I got. Plus our service was good and speedy.

When I was there, it was mid afternoon (before closing) so it was calmer all around. I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. Server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went. In general I felt a friendlier warm vibe compared to Ventura location, but either one is great for classic European vibe, and great pastries.

It's a casual & cute cafe that always hits the mark and we love seeing their growth all over the 805. I stopped in for an iced matcha and decided to try something new and I'm so glad I did. Huge kudos to Ashley for recommending their breakfast crepe (not something I'd normally order, but WOW was it good). BREAKFAST CREPE: A fluffy crepe filled with soft, melty brie, eggs, bacon, arugula and tomatoes, absolutely delicious and so well balanced. I'd get this again in a heartbeat. 10/10 ICED MATCHA: Washed it all down with a sweet iced matcha, just how I like it...lightly sweet, a little creamy, and still packing that earthy matcha flavor. 8/10. Definitely a great location in the heart of old town camarillo. Nice staff, clean interior, cozy vibes and good food.

The waitress and waiter had a very positive attitude towards the customers. They were friendly and had conversations with everyone who walked through their doors. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. It is a dog-friendly restaurant. They even have a dog menu. I personally haven't seen that at a restaurant. Food: The food was absolutely delicious. They had plenty to choose from. I got the "Roxy's" Chicken & Waffles: it came with fried chicken tenderloins, served on top of a buttermilk waffle, with honey, bacon, and one sunny side egg. The chicken was so flavorful. It was well season and cooked right. It was crunchy and flaky. It wasn't oily either. That was a huge plus. I also had a bite of the Huevos Rancheros: it came with two fried eggs, two corn tortillas, mashed black beans, pepper jack cheese, grill jalapeño and your choice of salsa served with breakfast potatoes and we added the Carne Asada for five dollars. I also tasted the Avocado Toast: it was serve with guacamole spread sprinkled with red flakes, extra olive oil, cherry tomatoes, arcadian mix, and balsamic glazed drizzle. It was so delicious . We got a side of onion rings they were so good and crispy. Also the pancakes it was thin it looked like a crepe. It was cute came with a paw print. The cappuccino was tasty. The organic strawberries lemonade was delicious and refreshing. The latte was also delicious. Overall: I'd go back if I was in the area again. I recommend it if you are a dog lover and want to find a place to eat with your furry friend. Also they do close early Monday - Friday they are open from 8am till 2:30pm. My son ordered the Loru's Combo with the cinnamon roll French toast. OMG...he loved it and I have to agree. Perfect texture and cinnamon flavor. A must order again My husband enjoyed the Machaca with over easy eggs...perfection! Not a smidge left on the plate. The best item was the Chiliquilles Divoriciados. Wow! Both red and green sauce with beans, eggs and crispy creamy hashbrowns were out of this world and the table agreed. That is a must order again! Pair this with a mimosa and you're in business! I figured we would get something that I could tolerate and it would be okay - generic dining. I did not expect to actually have something to write about. But I was wrong. The grilled chicken they serve with the Chaufa is very nicely seasoned. It is bits of breast meat, grilled with a little char and adds depth to the otherwise mild flavor of the rice dish. My husband had Chaufa with shrimp, which I didn't sample but he ate the entire meal without complaint. We ordered the pork belly bites to start. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I enjoyed this appetizer so much that I know I will order it again. If I have the chaufa again, I would definitely have it with the pork belly. I ordered the lemonade and was puckering in a good way. Honestly, it tasted more like limeade than lemon. I was happy it wasn't too sweet because I could really enjoy the refreshing citrus flavors. I would go there just for a lemonade. They serve it icy cold in mug style, mason jar glass. Our friend ordered the iced tea and when it arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by the look of the fresh fruit in the clear glass, frosted over from the cold and ice. So nice. He said the herbs and fruit were a good combination. The wife of the owner waited on us. She is understated, friendly and efficient. We didn't have much of a wait as it looked as though we might have just missed the breakfast/brunch rush. I was impressed with how quickly we received our food. If we hadn't just eaten there a couple days ago, I would have gone to Azafran for dinner tonight. I look forward to making it a favorite local place where I can introduce our visitors to a good neighborhood restaurant.

When I got to the Thousand Oaks area, I wish I had more time to have my meal properly, sitting down at the restaurant, but I took my order back to my car and chowed down quickly so I would have enough time to get to the airport. My vegan chicken and waffles were essentially a Belgian waffle topped with fried oyster mushrooms, accompanied with syrup and a side of mixed fruit. I couldn't stomach the fruit, but I the oyster mushrooms posing as chicken were delicious!! Especially with syrup on top. The waffle could have been thicker and crisper, as the one I was trying was soft in texture like a thawed out frozen waffle. Next time I am in Cali, I would love to stop by and have a sit down meal properly inside the restaurant.
