I then decided that this would be my post-race meal. My vegan chicken and waffles were essentially a Belgian waffle topped with fried oyster mushrooms, accompanied with syrup and a side of mixed fruit. I couldn't stomach the fruit, but I the oyster mushrooms posing as chicken were delicious!! Especially with syrup on top. The waffle could have been thicker and crisper, as the one I was trying was soft in texture like a thawed out frozen waffle. Next time I am in Cali, I would love to stop by and have a sit down meal properly inside the restaurant. It was such a gorgeous day for brunch and while I couldn't take in the full experience, I am glad I enjoyed a delicious meal.
