As we entered IHOP, we were promptly, greeted, by Ms. Kayleigh(sp), who was very kind with a sweet smile and made us feel welcomed. She lead us to a booth. Our server was Ms. Ariel, who was very welcoming and sweet smile. She served us coffee and water and took our order. My brother ordered the Sirloin Steak Tips & Eggs $20.15 which consist of Sirloin steak tips* with grilled onions & mushrooms. Served with 2 eggs* your way, golden hash browns & 2 fluffy buttermilk pancakes. I had the Spicy Poblano Omelette $18.10 which is stuffed with fire roasted Poblano peppers, red bell peppers & onions, shredded beef, Jack & Cheddar cheese blend, fresh avocado, Poblano cream & chopped Serrano peppers which I opted to leave the Serrano peppers. Our food was prepared to our specifications and very delicious. Both Ms. Kayleigh(sp),and Ms. Ariel were awesome, and did a fantastic job. I also noticed that Ms. Kayleigh(sp), was also a server. Immediately greeted when we entered. The same employee was our waitress. She was friendly and engaging. We had just checked in to our hotel next door. This was the walkable location without having to cross a street. Didn't realize kids eat free from 4pm-10pm. My little girl ordered the silver dollar pancakes and I ordered an omelet with a side of strawberry and banana pancakes and both of us really enjoyed our meals. Ambiance: Well, a screaming baby 2 booths over was unenjoyable. To say the least. However, not our servers fault. She was the gem of our day. 5 stars to her. Dinner with tax was under 20 for the 2 of us, and without hesitation, our server offered us 2 large to-go cups of ice water. I'd definitely sit in her section anytime. read more

The waitstaff have very low standards of customer service...they don't watch drinks/refill promptly. I asked the people with me to try to make sure I wasn't wrong. I asked the waitress to try it and I said this is either miracle whip or gone bad. It tastes sour. They wanted to argue with me. They brought me out 3 other samples. They even got some out of the "jar." Y'all I know it was soured because I ended up sick later that night. I also went to go to the bathroom and wash my hands. No soap. None in either soap dispenser. How do you keep a restaurant sanitary if your employees are using the restroom and unable to wash their hands. Worst service I've had in Ardmore. No hostess so we waited for 20 minutes to get seated even though there was 5 tables open or needing bussed. Ordered finally and waited for nearly an hour to get our breakfast, then another 10 minutes to get the waitresses attention to get silverware so we could now eat our cold food. This was absolutely the worst dining experience of my LIFE. It started with the waitress' screaming at each other from the kitchen to all points of the restaurant, OMG it was excruciating. Then the crepes I ordered tasted like rubber. The restrooms were portapotty's outside because they were remodeling. So while you're eating there's workers inside painting and doing whatever. We ordered the app combo. Mozz stix onion rings and chicken strips. Was ok,but over priced at $9. We all ordered something different. None of us got our orders at the same time. Our orders were brought out sporadic. So that was not good. While we waited for everyone to get their food the ones who had already been served had cold food. The pancakes were so cold when they were brought out the butter wasn't even melted a tiny bit. Asked for hot pancakes came back same exact way. So still the worst IHOP I've been to. In all honest I love IHOP, I love the food and customer service but the past few times we've had the same experience and it was terrible, from the moment we walked in the door we stood there for approximately 4 minutes untill someone greeted us (even though there was a lady at the cash stand looking at her phone) we finally got her attention and got sat. While being sat we had a good 10-15 minutes before a server came over to get our drink orders ( 2 waters and a coffee) we ended up putting our food order in while she took our drink order that way we could save time. We sat there 8 more minutes waiting on those drinks, we had seen our server just walking around and looking at things, our food did come out right after we got our drinks maybe a minute or two after. Food was amazing but we didn't not see our server while we were eating, we were not checked on one time I had to search for her to get more coffee for me. Now I work in restaurants so I know how busy servers can be but there was only 3 tables in her section and one of them left when we sat down. read more

Our waiter was friendly and made the best of a bad situation. We could immediately who the manager was by her rude attitude and her constant need to boss people around. She pick and chose tables for her regulars and we watched her take personal phone calls and smoke breaks while everyone else was working. We ordered mozarella sticks that took 25 minutes to come out and they fell apart when you held them. I ordered an omelete with tomatoes and, of course, when it was delivered it was missing them. I asked if they could remake the omelete but instead they just threw a handful of uncooked tomatoes on top and brought it back out within 10 seconds. This was the worst experience I have ever had at an IHOP At first I felt bad for the server who was not only having to find place for guest to sit but also serve tables. We were seated at an unclean table that the waitress had to wipe down. This business was not busy but tables weren't being bused or cleaned. Food was left sitting on one table the entire time we were there. I overheard our waitress request the table to be cleaned but it never was. Multiple workers were just sitting around. I thought there was going to be a fight after one worker came out to ask another worker who wasn't doing anything but sitting to help clean tables. The environment was horrible but we were going to make the best of it until it got worse. The waitress brought our drinks without straws and after requesting them we didn't get it until our food was brought out approx 20 mins later. Still at this point I wasn't overly upset. It wasn't until our food was brought to our table and requested ketchup for the hash browns and syrup for our pancakes that had me upset. We never received any of those items. I requested it twice. The waitress wasn't attentive to our table. She was all over the place. My son and I was never able to even have a bite of pancakes. I paid for food I was never able to eat. I had to raise my voice just to get the waitress to come over so I could pay. I just wanted out of the restaurant by that point but after mixing up my ticket and debit card with another customers I'm pretty sure I paid for someone else's meal after it was all said and done. I used to love IHOP but lately the service has taken a brutally noticeable drop in overall experience. The server, who shall remain nameless due to the reason that she didn't tell me her name at all, seemed dirty and clumsy. They had no creamer, and so I asked for a little bit of milk. The server, a woman, brought me a glass of milk which she partially spilled in the floor and herself, after this she just put the glass in my table not providing me with any napkins nor her cleaning it up at least. This is when I realized I was in for a bad experience. She came back 2 more times, still ignoring the milk spill she made on the floor and didn't bring me napkins until I told her as I had to use the one covering my fork, spoon and knife to clean this up. She had also brought me a drink I had ordered and a water, yet no straw. So on her next time around I had to ask her for 2 straws. I would say "thank you" trying to be understanding woth her but she seemed to be mad at me for all I had asked of her, which would've been fixed from the start if she had given me all you normally need, napkins, silverware, straws...This is my last time not only at this location, but any other one. read more

The pancakes my daughter ordered arrived, but mine came 7-8 minutes later which is strange. How do PANCAKES get delayed at IHOP??! My iced tea was never refilled, probably because once my late pancakes arrived, we never saw our server again...my advice is skip this IHOP and step across the street to Jimmy's Egg or two miles south to Prairie Kitchen. Heck, stay home and fling toast at your neighbor or your spouse - it would be the same level of service you get here. read more
