I surprised my son with this indoor skydiving experience abs although the fligh sessions are only a minute long he really enjoyed himself I paid around $110 for a 30 Min slot but he only flew two times and for about 45 seconds ( I times it). Supposed to be a minute. Wish they would have honored the minute. Every second counts especially when it's so expensive. You are give the option to get an additional minute of flight for $15... they will charge you for it so it would be nice that entire time is honored. They give you the option for a high flight boost for additional $15 which my son felt was worth it.. Also can add picture abs video for about $25 mote I believe. I paid foe both but in all honesty my pictures and videos came out just as nice. I say save that money or invest into more flight time The instructors were amazing and the facility was clean and plenty of hand sanitizer. The bathroom upstairs could have been a bit cleaner but for the most part the gang had a blast and truly enjoyed their experience. I do feel a bit short changed on the flight times for my entire party tho there was a large crowd and I feel that all the times were shortened so to it, which is not what I paid for. My family and I absolutely loved iFly! I highly recommend paying extra for the high flight. It was absolutely amazing to soar 20 feet in the air. The instructors were very friendly and provided training prior to starting the activity. I'm interested in going back and learning how to do more advanced movements within the flight room. Note: There is a weight limit to participate in this activity. Also, make sure you invite someone else who will not be participating in the activity with you to take candid videos and photos of you. Cost is expensive - I recommend buying a gift card from Costco, purchasing a Groupon, or buying a package during Black Friday. We loved it here! Courtney is an AMAZING instructor. She made my daughter and I feel super comfortable. She's upbeat and spunky. We flew twice. For our first time that was enough for me. The first time I felt like I was going to have an anxiety attack, but it was due to my glasses being in my eyes and choosing the helmet where you can feel all the wind. Courtney recommended that I switch my helmet out for the enclosed on. It was much better! I enjoyed going high. The key to flying is relaxing your body, keeping it straight, and remaining still. My toddler did amazing! The price includes your gear (helmet & suit). They also provided us with shoes since we had on sandals. I'm sure the other instructors are just as great, but we loved Courtney. Anyone age 3 and older can fly. I think the weight limit is 260, but I could be wrong. We will be back! read more

Me and our group (6 total) started off the day with Cameron and he was so great and patient. 4 of our group were very experienced and me and another gal were first timers. After about an hour and a half another instructor David joined us as the instructor and was very good with seeing I was still struggling with some movement skills. I had a good time regardless because I didn't feel pressured to be on any level at any point and the instructors were sure to make sure I was good when I messed up. This is such an exciting experience. Very exhilarating. The instructors are amazingly talented and skilled. I could sit and watch the proform their stunts all day. Watching them had me clapping my hands. It was that thrilling. Applaud, applaud, applaud. Then they instruct you and it is your turn. They are so skilled and in control of your fly that you feel great and they make sure you have a good time. What a great thrilling experience. They do have seating for family and friends to come watch the fly. I think it is just as exciting to watch. We watched my niece and nephew. Ages 10 and 14. First time at iFly and what a great experience!!! We booked our tickets online and reserved and time for flying. Upon entering, we completed the waiver by the front desk and then checked in and were given a band to wear on our wrist. Walked up the stairs and were called into a room and saw a brief video of the sign language or hand signals so when the instructor needs to use it, we'd understand the corrected body movements. After the video, we changed into their overalls, got our helmets and earbuds to stop the loud wind blowing sound. Then, wait until you're called in to fly. The instructor is there at all times and will help you. I had so much fun and probably felt the lightest I've ever felt lol. The wind just blew me up and I'm going and spinning. After my first flight, I knew this is something I would want to do again, so I signed up for the L1FT program! It's a much cheaper option that will get you 1 on 1 time with a coach to get you proficient at belly and maybe even back flying! You can also buy return packages if you don't think you want to be a member, but want discounted rates for you, your friends, or your family. My son's school had a field trip here. It was a well planned out agenda and the kids had a great time. The downside is if parent's wanted to join, it was $40.00 per minute. The kids also only had a minute in the flyer. This sucked because the instructors were showing the kids all kinds of tricks and such, but in one minute the most you can do is figure out how to fly in the thing, and then your time is up! By the time I was actually enjoying it, my time was finished! The thing that really impacted me, (and most parents and kids) is that the manager who was teaching the kids, was open carrying his gun and this left the kids in a state of shock. One kid was brave enough to ask him why he was wearing a gun and his response was "I live in Virginia and it's my right!" Now I get it, we do live in Virginia and open carrying in legal, but when you are in front of a lot of impressionable kids, can you at least carry it under a jacket or something? The kids were more concerned with his gun then the great lesson he was giving. Kids are very impressionable, and I for one do not own a gun nor plan to ever. My kids came home talking more about the darn gun than his experience. I get it is your right, but you don't have to shove it in children's faces.... since you were up there teaching them! read more

It's very fun, and not too hard to get the hang of, if you got the right instructor, my only problem was that I didn't realize we were paying for minutes, not times you go in the wind tube, like I went in the tube twice for a minute and a half, then 2 minutes, so I was confused at first but I understood. And they give discounts for second timers which you can use anywhere, like I went in the VA beach location, and I can hop back to Pittsburgh and use the discount and do it again. read more

Went to iFly as a surprise from a friend. It was SUCH a fun experience. The instructors briefly show you the ropes (it's not difficult to get the hang of it) and a couple hand signals in case you need some help or are feeling nervous. They suit you up in a jumpsuit, helmet and goggles and then you're ready to FLY! They take a group of about 5 or 6 out and you get to fly for about a minute and then the rotation starts again and you get another go. They do have a membership so the member have their own area to chill in. It's so fun watching the experienced flyers, they do tricks, they'll all go in together and have a good time. I've always wanted to try skydiving but fear has kept me from doing it. When I found iFLY I was excited to learn of a more controlled skydiving experience and I was ALL for it! The customer service from beginning to end was great. The staff answered all of our questions and made what on the outside looks very frightening a great experience. After a short video and short instruction by our instructor we were led to the wind tunnel. I volunteered to go first and I loved every minute of it. I visited iFLY during an educator night and had a blast! First, we learned all about how iFLY can educate students in a number of different ways (and for ALL ages)! Then, they let the educators experience the wind tunnel. The program coordinator did a wonderful job setting up the event. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They were professional, energetic, and humorous..all making for a fantastic experience. We watched a video to prep for our flight, got our gear, and then, we flew! Although the experience is really short (1 minute of fly time), I still enjoyed it! It is pretty pricey. I like how they videotaped your entire flight and you have the option of purchasing it later (The pictures and video aren't expensive at all...whereas if you go real skydiving, it costs an arm and a leg to get it! The video has fun music too!) Some of the other teachers were able to fly high in the tunnel. I wish our group had the option to do the add on! Overall: 5 stars on the fun factor 5 stars on friendliness of the staff 5 stars on cleanliness of the facility 1 star for how much time you actually spend in the wind tunnel for the dollar amount you spend (Although our educator event was free, I don't think I can afford to come back) Again, if you are looking for the experience, it is worth it! read more

My mom got my daughter passes to iFly for her birthday. She got the passes from Costco for $40 compared to the normal price of $60. I thought that was a really good discount, and it made us much more willing to shell out for such a different type of experience. Parking on the street was easy to find, but there is also a garage around the side for $5. Don't park in the lot on 25th because you will get towed. The cost of entry will get you flight suit use, a 40 minute instructional class, then two 1-minute flights. For an extra $10 the instructor will fly you up to the top of the wind tunnel, which they both did and loved it. I thought the whole process was really great except for after it was over. My wife added the hi-fly $10 experience to the flight and was told to pay for it afterwards. No problem, but when it was over there was nobody who wanted to take our money. We actually had to track down a sales lady and convince her that we owed money. Trying to by a photo was a major hassle too. There were two self-help kiosks for the 10 people who just finished their flights (in other words not nearly enough). You are supposed to select the photos you want, then walk away from the kiosk to pay at the counter, then the counter lady will walk back over to the kiosk with you to finish the check out process. They need more of a stream-lined Busch Gardens style photo purchase system. In all it was really great, and I recommend buying the pass from Costco. read more

This is an updated review. We arrived about 30 minutes early, which allowed us plenty of time to check in, take pictures, see other groups do their flies, and check out the retail store. They did offer to move us into the class that was about to start in one minute because we arrived early... But we elected to go with our original time. The training is quick and informative, our instructor, Chance, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We suited up, and got to flying! We purchased a family pack, which is 10 flights that can be distributed amongst the people in our party. I highly recommend this option as one flight would not be enough two or three is great. We also paid extra for the high fly which is $15 per person. It's an expensive experience, but it is a lot of fun. You get to float around in extremely high winds and learn about how your body movements affect whether you go higher or lower. It was exciting, and very fun! I do plan to return. They have a flight progression program as well... Which allows you to do more flips and go higher as you become a more experienced flyer. My main recommendation would be to give everybody a 30 second or one minute practice flight... Because it is a unique experience that you've never done before so if you've only purchased one or two flights the first few seconds of your short flights are being spent on learning and practice. The second flight is definitely more fun and then the third and so on. So if they gave you an opportunity to practice first in the tunnel I think that would be better. Also I do think that you should be allowed to go higher without paying extra... You don't go very high in your normal flight for whatever reason unless you pay the extra $15. Overall, it's a lot of fun and a great bonding experience. You can also purchase pictures and videos separately... Our package did include photos and videos which was nice. read more

Price: The 15% military discount made the prices a little easier to swallow but just like skydiving it can get expensive quick. That said this is a great choice to spend part of your day, especially if you've never done anything like this before. Service: The check in was quick and easy. All the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable. Ray was great instructor, enjoyable to work worth and to the point in a humorous sort of way. He made our daughter feel comfortable and ready to go try skydiving, highly recommend Ray. Don't worry if you're not dressed for it as the staff will get you everything you need and the lockers allow you to lock up your stuff or just place it in them as they're clearly in view while you await your flight. Cleanliness: Clean facilities, suits and equipment. The bathrooms were spotless. Overall: I thought about giving it 4 Stars due to it being a little expensive and difficult for parking during tourist season...or at least until the construction outside the garage is finished. Came here on a date and we had a blast! You book your "flight" online on their website. There's different packages they offer. We did the "Spread your wings for two" which offers a total of 4 flights (each person flies two times) and two video clips of our session = $130 + tax. They take you upstairs where you witness all the action. They take you to this classroom where they teach you how to fly and land. After that you gear up and watch the employees demonstrate. Then off you fly! Everyone flies for about a minute long. It was so much fun watching the kids and old folks in our group killing it. Around the second round, the demonstrator joins hands with you and brings you up all the way to the ceiling it was crazy how high we were! When both of your sessions are done, they print out a certificate for completion on the tricks you did. Then you go downstairs where they give you the URL of your video on a ticket. And where you can purchase merchandise from the gift shop. read more
