AMAZING! I have never been sky diving, but WOW. I went on this adventure with my mom and I won't lie... I was a bit nervous. We paid for 4 minutes of fly time each and then an extra $10 and the instructor flies you up to the top at the end... THIS IS A MUST!! We each went for two minute sessions and at the end of the second, the instructor will fly you up to the top. This was truly one of the most amazing experiences. I was a first time flyer. Drew was the instructor for the group and he was awesome!!! His solo flight after our group went was by far the best that we've seen while we were there. It was truly artistic. The check in process was easy and fast. The waiver is online and can be done before arrival is what we didn't. The waiver is really scary honestly and reading it in it's entirely can scare you away but don't let it!!!! You can add flights and high flights with the instructors at anytime while you are in the tunnel so if you just purchased 2 flights and enjoyed it and want more no worries just let the instructor know. On the second flight before jumping in I added a high flight. Here are a few things important to know that takes some time to find on the website. 1. Wear shoes with laces!! 2. If you are brining minors that are not yours (lmbo) just send the link to their parents and it's done online maybe 5 minutes or less to complete with a photo ID scanned but they didn't ask for that part this time. 3. The instructors will teach you what you need to know and coach you along in the tube. 4. Scariest part is going in for the first time and the wind taking your breath away but it's just like sticking your head out of a car while driving.... No biggie. 5. Instructors accept gratuities. 6. There are 3 computers there to select photos and videos and they are emailed to you instantly. Easy process, scan wrist band, select what you want, verify information and email then send. Some people may say this is expensive but I feel it's worth the money because of the instructors. They are in the tube with people of all ages and weights and they just don't float in the tube while people flail around in there lol read more

I just went to checkout iFLY on a friend's recommendation. I figured it would be fun to try out indoor skydiving. I ended up, after watching for a while, not trying it out. Why? Not because of the staff.. but because of the clientele.. who apparently were members of the Zeppelin Fleet in a former life - one of them possibly might have even been the Hindenburg. I understand as an avid skydiving fan that if you are.. shall we say.. of robust frame.. that you might get turned away from trying out *actual* skydiving.. So of course it would be natural to reason that you should try indoor skydiving... WRONG: The reason you can't skydive is because you are not in a proper state of athletic conditioning to attempt to do so. This is coupled with the fact that given your mass it is unlikely you would be able to sustain a landing without causing injury to your knees, hips or other lower extremities. What this means is that until you are in better shape you should NOT attempt these activities. What this does NOT mean is you should stuff yourself into a iFLY suit and attempt this activity in a vertical wind tunnel. The staff was getting noticeably exhausted trying to keep these human dirigibles aloft in the tunnel.. they were also rude to the staff. Like their attitude was 'How dare you not treat me the same way as someone who weighs only 100 pounds'. Now mind you I saw NOTHING to indicate the staff was treating these people any different than any other customer, but I was just so disgusted, put off and oddly amused by the events that transpired I found it overwhelming. I ended up leaving. If you want a free show.. feel free to stop in.. but if you want to have fun as a family, might I suggest mini-golf? read more

Be careful. I DO NOT have a history of shoulder locations but iFly totally messed up my shoulder, which I am still dealing with weeks later with PT. When I asked for a copy of my signed waiver they could not produce it. I called, and also came back in person. When I came in person it took 20 mins for the staff member to get me a blank copy of the waiver-- and he looked at me like I was an alien when I asked for the form with my actual signature. I never got it. Otherwise: fun, but too expensive. Especially considering the potential for injury. UPDATE! It's been 2 1/2 years and my shoulder is still messed up. Yet no Dr. can help. My wife and I went into this not knowing what to expect. When we left, we were both exhilarated. As it turns out, indoor skydiving is an incredibly thrilling and visceral experience. It is awesome. The staff here was helpful and top-notch. They're great at keeping frayed nerves calm; they're funny and informative and not at all overbearing. You're in good hands from the moment you walk in the front door to the moment you walk out. As for the experience in the tunnel: you just have to experience it. You feel like you're truly flying, without the terrifying heights or danger. And if you do the virtual reality option (highly recommended), the sense is heightened even further. My VR experience took place jumping over the Swiss Alps and I'd be lying if I said my heart wasn't thumping just a little bit harder than it did during the regular flight. In short, if you're considering this, DO IT. It's a really fun way to spend an evening. read more

I was nervous going into this experience but excited. I had no idea what to expect. It was amazing! Parking was easy, check in was easy. Very little wait time, you get an appointment and they were very organized. After a little instruction you suit up and get ready to fly. It's so much fun! When offered the inexpensive upgrade to go up high with the instructor holding you, SAY YES! Before you leave you get to send yourself the photos and videos on a little kiosk. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing our flight was. We observed some of the most caring and passionate professionals who greatly desire you have a wonderful experience. We met Jordan as our flight instructor. He was absolutely the most awesome instructor and so much fun to work with. Their clear direction made this time easy to follow and successful. We WANT to go again and that was mostly in part to the team of instructors. As a side note, if you have anyone (of ANY age) who are hesitant, these guys were amazing. I watched one young man, so very fearful and wanted to quit, get coached and encourages to continue. Jordan did a phenomenal job of building his confidence and he continued his flight and even did the second round and did great. We also watched another young instructor work with a very young girl and she was so scared. He got down on one knee and talked to her so sweetly. He gave her confidence in his ability to fly with her. She even went to high fly one her second round. So sweet to watch and we all clapped and cheered for each other! read more

This was a birthday surprise for my boyfriend, who wants me to jump out of an actual plane with him (something which neither of us has ever done)- this was my compromise. I surprised him with 3 flights and a virtual experience and we BOTH ended up loving it. Such a rush! We have been bit by the bug now...we want more. The prices are steep, but given you are working with experienced divers in the tube, in the end I feel it was worth it, and the staff was all very friendly and nice. What a trip! It was a first-time experience for everyone in our group of 6, and the staff and facility made it fantastic. We visited on a Sunday and used the Costco package, which I recommend ($39 for two 90 second flights plus a video of one of your flights). Check-in at reception was quick and easy. The real value was in our experience with the instructors. All the instructors were professional, attentive, and upbeat. Our instructor, Luciano, was fantastic -- funny, punctual, communicative, focused on us and uplifting. Given we had first-time nerves and two 5-year olds in our group, his overall demeanor was comforting and allowed us to have a great time. He had us under control the entire time and set a great tone of encouragement and respect. The overall experience is awesome. Enjoyed my flight experience here! First, all of the staff were super friendly from check in to post fly. The process is quite easy - check in on screen, talk briefly with check in person, go up stairs for a safety video (4 min), get suited up and fly! I went during a slower window, which was awesome. You can tell the two flight instructors love their jobs. They coached me through the process well and make sure I had fun. Since it was a slower window, one gave me a show of his flying skills after I went. So cool! I highly recommend for a date night, friends outing or family-friendly activity. iFLY was so much fun! I went on a group outing with my coworkers yesterday and we had the best time! You get a fun little "flight suit" that's pretty much just a onesie with handles on the side. You get brief instruction and then you get to jump into this wind tunnel with an instructor and fly around. I'm sure it's not as fun as real skydiving, but it's certainly not as horrifying as well. So, you have that going for you. ALSO, it's like all guys that work here. And just about every single one of them were easy on the eyes. Spending a couple hours with hot guys and having fun? Well Yelpers, I tried to look to you first on this one...but it seems we beat you to it this go around! This place is awesome. I really can't rave about it enough. It's extremely well-run and organized - not a place where you just show up & wait around forever (unless maybe you don't make a reservation!) We went for our first time this past Saturday and it was great. I'd allow two hours (total time spent) for your sign-in, orientation and flight time, in case anyone is wondering how long it takes. I guess it could be longer if you have a huge group - the time it would take for more people to take turns. We were in a 4-person group, where my boyfriend & I went two times each, and the other girls we were with went 5 times for 2 mins each time. But they have it all worked out and it flows like a well-oiled machine...truly minimal on the chaos aspect, which was nice. They do seem to care about your experience there. The 'dives' were really REALLY fun. Definitely a crazy adrenalin rush - we couldn't stop grinning afterwards. I can see how you would want to go back to learn how to do advanced movements, since your first time is more of a practice run where you're learning body positioning. Our instructor was Trevor and he was super nice, professional and very encouraging. It's cool to see what the instructors can do in between sessions (where they jump in the wind tunnel & practice their advanced moves.) You get to see everyone's jumps while you wait, but watching the instructors do complicated moves is really cool - has to be a rad job perk. It's kind of on the expensive side but totally worth it for a special occasion. I think it's safe to say prepared to be a little sore afterwards (not radically though). Really can't recommend this enough. ps. if you're wondering, you're always in the wind tunnel with an instructor (a good thing). So if you think you & your shmoopie will be getting in there to do some somersaults your first time there - not so much. Still exhilarating though!! read more

It's a new year and people are trying new things, so it was a happy accident to find a deal at Costco for two one minute flights, video, and equipment rental for one for only $39.99. That's a 41% savings from normal costs. I grabbed it and booked a time slot online, proud of my newfound confidence. They ask you to get there 45 minutes early to watch a short video and suit up before take off. The instructors honestly could not be more fun. I had Waz and he was the sweetest. He walked us through the chin up, elbows out, legs straight, and smile! speech and told us to all relax and have fun with it. You suit up, throw in earpieces, slap on googles, and a helmet and are then all moved into the chamber. The doors close in place once in as to not disturb the outside with the gusts of 165 mph winds. When it's your turn you walk to the edge and sort of leap into your instructors arms and they do their best to guide you in place and help you have fun. I took a breath, said a prayer, and went. And... Hated it. Every single agonizing second of it. All I could think was out, out, out, GET ME OUT!! All the steps in my head jumbled together, wind was slapping my face, a full on panic attack took place, and it was all I could do to suffer through the full minute. I have terrible posture and hunch a lot at my desk so I was having a hard time keeping the position. My back was killing me and all I could feel was pain. I leaped to freedom when my time was up and decided then and there I would not take the second flight. I had already paid for it and I even added the extra $10 to "fly high" where the instructor takes you to the top and down again three times, but no amount of money could put me back in the chamber of torture. I was so embarrassed to have to tell people to go ahead of me in line and when the instructor finally realized I was hiding he got everyone to clap to try to get me back out. It was very sweet but at that point all I could think about was getting froyo on the way home and crying while I cuddled my dog for comfort. I didn't go out again, nor did I get the $10 back, but I'm still proud of myself for trying. Hey, it's not for everyone and I just happen to be one of those people. I did like the atmosphere and how kind and supportive they were, but this girl is going to stay firmly planted on earth from here on out. I walked away with my printed flight certificate, my pride, an aching back, and a snickering husband. He does not fit the height or weight requirements so he was unable to do it with me. He was pleased instead to film my shame from the sidelines. I still think you should try it if you have been thinking about doing so. It's different for everyone and you could end up really enjoying it. It is a truly unique and one of a kind experience. read more

Went here for the first time courtesy of Google. I've always wanted to skydive and this was the perfect opportunity to try the experience. The iFLY building is easy to find as it is along 183. They even have an Amy's Ice Cream next to it. GG. The check in on the 1st floor was easy and the air tunnel is on the 2nd floor. Going to the 2nd floor you get to see everyone watch in amazement as an instructor and iFly-er float in the tube. Before you enter the tunnel, you go with a group for a 15 minute training video. Your instructor will also teach you a few basic hand signals (PAY ATTENTION TO THE HAND SIGNALS). If you don't, you will have a hard time floating. After the training session, you put on the baggy suits, goggles, and helmet. As I waited in line for the tunnel, there was anxiety and I could start feeling a little adrenaline rush. The minute I entered the tunnel, massive wind just started blowing in my face. My body was moving everywhere even though I was trying hard to stay still. Eventually the instructor was able to get me in the proper position and taught me how to turn and go up/down. It was exhilarating and I really did feel like I was flying. Before I got into the tunnel I was worried about people watching from the outside, but once I got in, I hardly noticed. We were given two tries in the tunnel, each about 1 minute and 20 seconds long. The second try the instructor flew me up higher in the tunnel. Getting out my body was a little sore and my cheeks hurt a little from the constant blasting wind. Seeing my group members fly was also awesome and we all applauded one another after each try. Overall very satisfying experience. Thanks Google!!! read more

I once was in a tragically boring relationship with a couch potato. We broke up (yawn) and I recently started dating an adrenaline junky that always pushes the envelope. Let me just say this: I'm terrified of everything. I turn the sound down during videogames so that I don't get startled. I check the oven 3 times to make sure it's off after cooking. I drive EXACTLY the speed limit. So, I thought, "what is the best christmas present to impress my boo and to test my own limits?" then I signed my life away to iFly. It was an INCREDIBLE experience, terrifying, hilarious, and thrilling. I will never EVER do this again and don't even mumble about skydiving for real because this made me feel like I was dying. But it was a once in a lifetime thing. The instructors were AMAZING and funny and laid back. I surprisingly didn't pee myself. Only complaint is that those damn windsuits make everyone look gross.
