My whole experience with Texas Skydiving was amazing. Booking online was a breeze, even when I had to reschedule multiple times due to poor/unsafe weather conditions. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday, and it was the best experience!!!! The people are so welcoming, chill, experienced, and totally get you hyped and feeling excited about the experience. We paid for video and pictures, and the video/pictures were soooo sick and they got it to me with in just a few hours!!! This place is awesome. The whole crew that works there is super fun and chill. Lots of experience in this building! Major key. I bought a gift certificate here for my fiancé and he had an absolute blast, and to no surprise wants to get certified now. They even made a bomb video with music and sent it to us within the hour after skydiving. What a memory to have! I've been convinced that next time I have to try it. I've recently learned that "Life begins @ the end of your comfort zone". So just like that, I decided to jump out of a plane and scratch something else out my bucket list. The adrenaline rush alone is worth every penny. (I was instantly in a better mood). Shout out to David who texted me on the actual jump date (09/10) because the weather did not look promising. I was bummed out because this was a birthday gift for my fiancé. (his words) were This is still going to be the best birthday gift ever and totally worth the wait). Boy, was he right! We jumped 09/11.. A DAY WE WILL NEVER FORGET. The weather was not only great but my fiancé's words were THIS WAS THE BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER! Let's not forget Cecily she captured our best moments. Hi. Can you help me find my face please? It totally got rocked off this weekend when I jumped out of a plane from 10000 FEET IN THE FCKIN AIR. I've never been one to shy away from physically and/or mentally daunting activities, but skydiving was one thing I had yet to check off on my do-this-before-you-kick-the-bucket list. I'm SO glad we went to Texas Skydiving to get our cherries popped. ;) The facility itself is unassuming and clean, but what really makes the place is the customer service here! Everyone is so friendly and laid back...I've really never felt more comfortable at a place of business. :) The drop zone field/area/I dunno the actual term is perfect for people who decide to come in a group. There's a little area off to the side of the field where you can watch your friends land. It's got a swing set, porch rocking chair, shade, llamas, donkeys, and chickens (oh my!) that make it a pretty fun place to chill while you're waiting for your friends to come back down. The instructors were patient and all around awesome. They hold your hand throughout the entire process, so there really isn't anything to worry about. First, they gave our group a crash course on what we were expected to do/what to expect. Daniel was my tandem instructor, and I had a blast with him! He's a funny dude, but still a pro. Once we were up in the air, he went over everything I needed to do one more time...and then we were flying!! :) MOST BOMBASS EXPERIENCE EVER. Be sure to get pics! It's an extra $89 on top of the $199, but it's totally worth it. David was the guy doing the pictures and filming, and he rocked it. I love the photos...and your family/friends will too! I really really loved my skydiving experience here...so much so that I'm definitely going to do it again, and I've even been considering getting licensed! One thing to keep in mind is that each person's jump takes about 45 minutes, so plan to spend time here if you're coming in a larger group! read more

This place is awesome! Sunday was my first jump (of many I'm sure). The atmosphere is really calm and the employees are confident and happy to answer your questions. Great place for your family and friends to hangout and watch. I highly recommend this place. They really take care of you on a personal level, and see to it that you get everything out of the experience! P.S. The videos are really cool and the turn around time is unbelievable. I did my first skydive here at Texas Skydiving. Like many others, I'd considered doing this for a long time, but never went beyond the thought. Had plans to be in Austin for Memorial Day weekend, so it felt right. The folks here are genuinely kind; I felt at ease the entire time as the team prepared me for the tandem jump with James Taylor my co-diver, and Cecily Ketchum my videographer/diver. The process was seamless -- from signing the waivers, to getting suited up and trained for the jump. The pilot, whose name has unfortunately escaped me, was also very friendly. I had nice conversations with everyone here as I waited to jump. And finally, about 45 minutes after I'd arrived, it was my turn to go up to 10,000 feet and free-fall back to Earth! I've never felt an exhilaration like this before. It's out of this world. It's transformational. It opens the mind to new adventures and possibilities. I was on top of the world! As soon as we made our landing, I wanted to go back up for another dive. If I ever find myself in Texas again, I'm coming back to Texas Skydiving for another round -- no question. I did my first Tandem jump at this drop zone, soo much fun! Staff was very professional, I did my training for about 10-15 min and we were on our way up to 10,000 feet. Very safety oriented! The service here was great! We had a party of 8, some 1st time jumpers, some that had jumped before. The staff greeted upon arrival and answered all our answers with compassion and concern. Obviously some jumpers were alittle apprehensive on the whole experience, but they eased their feelings and made it fun! Video and photo options were reasonable and quality was great. I've seen quite a bit of negative reviews here. I think too many people expected the process of jumping to be like an amusement park: get in, get done, get out. I was lucky to know ahead of time that going here is more of an experience rather than herding of sheep. The people can seem a bit abrasive at first, but that's because so many of them are experience jumpers. If you are going looking for a tandem, that is great and they'll treat you well, but don't expect every amenity in the sky (hehe) here. It is a pretty basic place that does what they do, and do it very well. I was with a friend who is licensed, and expressed a large amount of interest in coming back. Many people took the time to talk to me, get to know me, walk me through the ropes of how to go through AFF and A licensing, teaching me about gear, etc. Very nice and friendly people, who after seeing the grin on my face after my jump, all came up and congratulated me on my future empty wallet. In the end, if you're looking for a place to hold your hand and walk you through like a herd of sheep this place probably isn't for you. But if you want a friendly environment where you can meet some really awesome and down to earth people who will show interest in you if you show interest in them (because let's face it, they see a lot of faces they will never see again, why take the time to get to know someone who will never join you in the fun again or bring you business?) and their sport, then this is a great place to go and chill for the day, even if you're only doing one or two jumps. EDIT: I noticed a lot of the tagged photos are with James. I also jumped with James. He made it really nice on the way up. I have heard he sometimes may fall asleep during the plane ride, but if you talk to him, ask questions, he is a great guy. Oh, Texas Skydiving. You made my day! I came with a group of friends on a sunny Saturday and couldn't have asked for a better experience. There were nine of us, so we hung out for quite awhile and asked your staff every question we could think of. "What happens if we dive through a cloud?" "Does anyone ever panic when they're in the plane?" "What happens if the tandem dude has a heart attack on the way down?" And they answered every single one of them - with a smile on their face. My "tandem dude" was really nice and chatted with me the whole way down - It was a wonderful experience and this helped calm my nerves even more. Oh, but just one thing - DON'T try to find the place by using GPS...we learned the hard way that it didn't work. Follow the directions on the bottom of your confirmation email and you'll be good to go. read more

I had a deal from Living Social. $150 for the dive and a video. they have to video cams and I went with two friends. I have a GoPro so I let my friends use the two cams. Unfortunately, my GoPro's battery died before I jumped so I have no video. I think it would be a good idea for them to get extra sd cards so that they can just swap the card which will let the next jumper use their cam. My jump partner made me very relaxed and comfortable. That was not an easy feat considering that I was about to jump out of a perfectly good plane 10,000 feet in the air and then hurtle towards the ground at 150 miles per hour for 60 seconds. It was the most epic experience in the history of EVER!!! read more

My wedding party and I went skydiving this past weekend here. I had been here a few times but its been a while. They've made a good bit of structural improvements since my last few visits about a year ago. This place use to make you feel a bit nervous about the operations of the facility in terms of organizational structure and professionalism of the staff. Not sure when it changed but this experience was top notch and we had a great time. The staff was very friendly and informative. The plane was still on the older side but it got the job done. All in all, this place was great. I know they do deal on social living, etc that will save you $50/jump so look for those. read more
