For my husband's 35th birthday (happy birthday my love!) I treated him to experience this highly recommended activity. We arrived a few minutes before our scheduled time. Check in was a breeeeeze. Unfortunately, I did not get her name but the girl that checked us in was super friendly and got us through quickly. They offered a package deal for $15 (I think?) where you get to fly high with the instructor, get a G5 helmet (SOOOO WORTH IT, I'll explain later), and a voucher for a free photo. Since it was my husband's birthday, his package was FREE! Who doesn't like free? After checking us in, we were instructed to go upstairs to get our gear. We were greeted with so much enthusiasm by the guy behind the counter who turned out to be our instructor. (I love that the instructors all take their turns gearing up their group.) They were running a bit behind but all was good since we got a chance to check out and of course laugh at the group that went before us. 10 minutes later, we were all geared up in these funky suits. Thomas, our instructor, pulled us in a room and provided clear instructions -- with the caveat that once we walked out of that room, we would likely forget everything he said but the important thing to remember is to HAVE FUN. There were nine of us in our group, some got two flights, some got three. The SENSATION when you get inside the tunnel is indescribable. Each person flies for 60 seconds. The G5 helmet (similar to a motorcycle helmet that covers your entire head and face)... is a MUST! Unless you are going for the flapping cheeks and goggle imprint look. If you opt for the regular helmet, it covers your head and you get googles. At one point, one of the girls in our group was cheesing so hard with her mouth open, she DROOLED. She was a good sport and laughed it off :) At the end of our session, Thomas, gave us an amazing show where he did all these tricks in the tunnel. He made it look so easy! We ended up purchasing 10 minutes for $159 for a future visit which was totally worth the price. I'll be coming back with my 7-year old niece and hope we can book with Thomas again. Do yourself a favor and book now! TIP: be sure to invite someone who doesn't plan on flying so they can take pictures! It was just my husband and I so we couldn't take pictures or videos of our flight. For safety reasons, they do not allow phones in the small waiting area which makes sense. This was fun and the young staff (i.e., instructors and desk clerk) we interacted with were helpful and enthusiastic. The upsells start almost immediately and as a former salesperson, I recognized fairly quickly that the "instructors" are likely strongly incentivized to sell upgrades. (A quick visit to Glassdoor to read employee reviews was illuminating.) The experience was fun, but brief. It's a lot of money for a really short amount of "flight" time. We enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't go back. For that amount of money, we'd rather do an amusement park. read more

Dear iFLY, I recently came in with a friend visiting town and experienced iFLY. The visit was great from the check in to actual flight ! I did opt to do the high option which was a great idea. However my instructor that did the introduction video was rude. It was as if he was taking everything as a joke my friend didn't even feel like he explained what to do with our body's in the tunnel he pretty much skipped that. As we were in our flight suits we wanted a picture and the instructor laughed at us and said you can have a picture afterwords.... we are the customers why would you not take a picture for us? I even asked TWICE and was laughed at. Then at the end I had to ask another employee to take one but we were out of our gear at that point. The instructor was rude and made us feel unimportant . Good Time We decided to check this out. The reservation process was easy and seamless. You have to reserve a time. You can't just walk in. The check in process was easy and seamless too. After you check in, you go upstairs. Upstairs the wind tunnel is right there. You go and give your name and they fit you with a flight suit, goggles and a helmet. Then when they call your name, they take the group in a backroom. They show you a video, and then your instructor gives you some more personal instruction about what to do. This all takes about 15 minutes. Then when it's time, they take the group out into the wind tunnel. We were lucky. We had the best instructor. It was a young lady who reminded me of Thais Guedes the Brazilian soccer player. Just like Thais, she had a lot of positive energy and was nice to everyone. I look like Stone Cold Steve Austin except that I'm bigger and meaner looking. My own mother doesn't like me, but the instructor was very kind and even remembered my name. We had some very small children in our group, and she was great with them personally as well as handling them in the wind tunnel. In the wind tunnel, you're not on your own. The instructor holds on to you the entire time giving you instructions using hand signals that were taught in the training session. After everyone did their flying, the instructor put on a little show. She was doing flips and other stunts, and then she did this levitating genie trick where she crossed her legs indian style as if sitting down and flew around the wind tunnel. That was pretty cool. The whole experience was pretty cool. They post pictures and videos online that you can download. Children: This is a good activity for children. They even have an area designated for birthday parties. There were five kids in our group. The littlest was too cute to be a minute over four years old, but she didn't seem to enjoy it. The older kids looked to be about six, and they really enjoyed it. The instructors are all very good with children. Older People: I wouldn't recommend this to someone who has back pain or shoulder pain. It's not very strenuous, and you don't have to be in top physical condition, but you do have to be reasonably flexible, and it could aggravate an existing injury. Personal Items: They make you take off all personal items and empty your pockets. They have these tiny lockers to put them in so don't bring a lot of stuff with you. Safety: It's very safe. The instructors are all awesome and very professional. You shouldn't worry about your or your children's safety. After each use, they wash the helmets. Practice/Training: If you want to get good at it and do stunts, they have a program for that. After your first visit they give you a discount so the cost per minute is less than half. read more

If you've pondered actual skydiving I would definitely recommend trying iFLY. The staff and instructors at the Loudoun location were very friendly and patient. Be sure to pay attention to the instructional video!!!! The video definitely helps when it's time to fly. I have a healthy appreciation for heights but I still tried the high fly option which is an add-on with cost. You don't have to worry about having someone record a video and/or take pictures for you - this is provided free of charge (you can only send a total of 20 pictures and videos per email as there are PLENTY to choose from); just walk over to one of the computers to send them to yourself. I definitely plan to do this activity again...maybe as a birthday party (I'm assuming adults can have birthday parties there...). Someone mentioned that they're building one in Rockville which is a lot closer to me than the Loudoun/Ashburn or the White Marsh locations. read more

Fun and different activity. It can certainly simulate true skydiving, but without the nice view (also a little bit shorter in time length). If you have never tried this before I recommend getting a package of 3 or 4 jumps (these tend to be 1 minute each). On your very first jump the instructor will just work on your body position, and then more interesting things start to happen on following jumps. The High Fly option isn't much different than the regular height, changes the view a bit but as a trainee you aren't moving at all and the instructor is controlling everything. And just be aware that there is a 15-min training discussion after suiting up but prior to jumping. Over the holidays this location was running a bit behind, but they were also inundated with large groups and Costco vouchers. read more

This place is awesome! I had such a great time and the team is great. I came here for a team building outing - so I wasn't apart of the booking experience. When we got there, everyone was welcoming though! Check-in was fast and easy. The initial back bend that they ask you to do was easier for me because of yoga for sure. So, that's what I kept in mind when I actually got into the machine (for those who have ever done yoga before). The flight itself was cool! It definitely wasn't what I expected but everyone says it is comparable to actually sky diving. The instructor was nice and we were able to get some cool pictures/videos of the experience. We had our 3 year old and 5 year old and this was our first experience. The customer service sucks. We were rushed and sold products the kids could not do. Pretty cool experience! Our instructor was Emilio, who was nice and tried to help with everyone's form. I think the first experience was fun and 2 sets of 1 minute fly time was enough for me. It makes sense that you would have to go back several times to really be able to fly on your own. It's actually much harder than you would think because the wind speed makes it difficult to move your arms sometimes. Some people did the "high fly" for $10 more where the instructor twirls you around at the higher part of the wind tube. The instructor also does a cool freestyle at the end. My shoulder and calves feel sore today, but worth checking it out. read more

I organized a little bit of a team outing for some coworkers who were very excited to go indoor flying. Booking was slightly stressful in the sense that I wasn't told every detail of the group package up front. I basically had to ask more questions on my own on phone call number 3 and 4 to find out more answers that probably should have all been laid out neatly and thoroughly on my first inquiry. Email responses (which are easier for me) were also not returned in a timely manner - my last two emails never getting ANY responses. Overall we had a good time, especially the first timers. My other complaint though is the High Fly (high flight? whatever its called) extra $9.95 that they get you for. I've been to iFLY before - a couple of years ago at their VA Beach location. From what I remember, flying high was NOT extra and even if it was, they took you ALL the way to the top. I encouraged everyone in my group to spend the extra $9.95 on this fly high mess, but would not have had I known you would only be going a couple feet higher. Despite these hiccups, the staff was great. Our Coach/Instructor/Guide was Pete. He was friendly, energetic, and was kind of impressive when he did his own fly solo at the end. The folks at the front desk checking this big, rowdy crowd in and getting us all set up were also great. No complaints for the staff that we came in contact with. All very eager to help. Was it fun? Sure. You're defying gravity, so of course it's fun. But sadly, I don't see myself coming back. read more

I have been taking my grandson to iFly (their flight school) for about 2 years. Took a Covid break, but tried to book him for 10 minutes tomorrow. They took the reservation, gave me a firm price- then called back a couple of hours later saying they do not do block reservations on the weekends- but they would gladly honor the time for double the price i was quoted and had been paying. I know the company has been sold twice in the last 2 years, and has made some squirrelly decisions as of late. I don't think I'll be going back- so congrats at losing a customer who has already dropped 12 grand there. read more

The staff here are amazing. They are so helpful and supportive. I completely messed up my first flight but the second one was incredible - thanks to their concern and instruction. They really helped make this such a memorable experience! (On another note, if you have long natural nails, be sure to cut them in advance. I broke several nails in the chamber - a few breaks on my longer nails were up in the nail bed and are so painful now. It was still worth the experience of going but I wish I would have known to cut them in advance. When I asked the staff for a piece of tape to place over the high breaks before the second flight, they didn't seem surprised at all so I assume this happens to others.) read more

A lot of time is spent suiting up, learning what to do (and what not to do) and watching other people fly. Your fly time is very short, we had 2 fly sessions each which were 60 seconds per flight. Mind you, if it's your first time, 60 seconds going against winds 100 MPH or higher can be a bit taxing. I went last night and my arms hurt from trying to keep them straight against the powerful wind speeds. Our instructor was extremely sweet and friendly. I feel like he made the experience better with his patience and giving us subtle praises. I took my boyfriend here because he is afraid of high heights and I thought this would be the perfect gift to scare the $H!+ out of him. Unsurprisingly, he handled it like the man he is, putting on a brave face but crying on the inside. We had a good time but we don't think we will be back. However, we would bring the kids here as a form of punishment. (Just kidding.) read more

Flexible, dedicated, happy employees who work hard to ensure your family and friends have a great experience! My boyfriend arranged for twelve people to fly with us for my birthday. As the date drew nearer, our twelve became nine which then became seven. He then called iFly pretty nervously to see if we could reduce the price given the number of people who were now going. Not only did they happily oblige but they recommended an even better package that accommodated all of us better! And while yes, the online FAQ suggests arriving an hour before your flight time... It does NOT for the Loudoun facility. So as we did, we arrived for the 5:30 fly time. No problem. We checked in on the computers, the desk attendant checked our weight, and the attendant clarified with our friend about his shoulder injury since he noted it on his waiver. Even though it was three years ago, the desk attendant was pretty firm that yes, he could go ahead and fly but at his own risk. However, iFly did not recommend it given the variance of results for people who knowingly fly with said-injury that have not had it surgically repaired. In taking his advice and another friend flaking out on us, our seven then turned into five. I took advantage of the high fly option while everyone nervously declined. We five friends then went through a simple and great run through by Dillon with a family of five that too was going to fly with us. Dillon was hilarious, kind, and sweet! He was having so much fun while also taking everything seriously! He definitely helped ease the nervousness that we were feeling as we asked everything. And since our seven had turned into five, again - no problem, said Dillon. Given that we had purchased a total of 14 minutes, my boyfriend and I would have two 2-minute turns instead of both turns being a minute. (It was definitely more than enough time for us beginners!) One by one we then took turns actually going through the flying simulation with the aid of the trainer (Dillon). Non-verbal communication is key!!! It's really hard to hear inside and as you're physically experiencing so much and trying to process it while managing your fear. But even when you feel alone or scared, the trainer is right there beside you. It was watching him take care of everyone before and after me that actually gave me a lot of trust and confidence to TRY and remain calm. It also made the second go around so much more comfortable when you can do the high fly. Nearly everyone in the family we were with (ages 8-14 for kids, two parents) did the high fly. I had pre-purchased it and two of my friends, per my recommendation, then also did it. We all agreed that for $10, it was a fantastic buy! And while terrifyingly high on optics alone, it did not feel bad at all. Again - the trainer is with you! To then emphasize the flexibility again, one of our friends did not want to go on it a second time. The trainer did not pressure him. He simply confirmed with a thumbs up and moved on. We then offered his minute to the family with us and their youngest child happily took it which the trainer then happily obliged with the "transfer"! I so appreciated them doing this and in turn, so did the family and iFly as well. Dillon then impressed us with some RIDICULOUSLY JAW DROPPING stunts in the tunnel. Wow! By the end of it, we ALL loved being able to take a picture and video home. So don't cheap out on that - definitely do it! But even if you're reluctant, you can always view both right after your flight like we did and make a judgment call. Despite all our fears, we would ALL happily do it again!!! ESPECIALLY because of the INCREDIBLE service by this iFly location! We left impressed both by the experience, the facility, and its people. And for a "scary" experience like this, you *must* do it in a place that's got it together like the iFly in Loudoun. read more

Update coming in mid-AUG Oh, ask for the near death experience( They fly with you, you go really high and they drop you. to the fans on the bottom. They also have flying Lions just waiting for you to drop your hips and look down. It's on the secret list trust me the lions are really flying these guys trained them to do flips and crap. They were rescued from a skydiving circus act or if it's too busy just ask for the $10 High Fly option it's still kind of the same except no dropping and no lions still worth the 10 read more

A fun experience that you will want to do twice or hundreds of times. I'm not sure there's a middle ground. This will be clearer towards the end. Firstly, this is perfectly safe. The facility is new and uses state of the art equipment. More importantly, the instructors are safety oriented, friendly, well trained, and VERY experienced. When you arrive you'll be asked to fill out a waiver. It's computerized and available in multiple languages. For fun I tried to do it in Mandarin and since I don't speak Chinese, quickly reverted to English. The next step is to pay. These people have been at this a long time and have their priorities well in hand. In addition to your "air time", two one-minute flights is a great starting point, you'll be presented with two up-sells, an upgraded helmet and a "high flight." My recommendation is to skip the helmet and by all means pay the additional $10 for the high flight where you get taken up much higher in the flight chamber for an even more exciting experience. Now it's time to head upstairs. Just so you know, going up the stairs will be the most dangerous part of your visit. It's not that the stairs are particularly tr4echorous, just that everything else is safer than that. And, if I got you worried about the stairs you can take their elevator instead. Before your flight everyone in your group that hasn't flown before gets a brief introductory class. It's brief not because they skip over anything but because there's not a lot you need to know. All that's left is to put on your jumpsuit, helmet, goggles, earplugs (all provided) and you're ready to go. The entire group sits on a bench in a ready area connected to the tunnel and, one-at-a-time, you enter the wind tunnel, experience your flight (ALWAYS under the complete control if the instructor who's in there with you), exit the tunnel, and head to the end of the bench waiting for your second flight. The first flight is about learning control and you remain a few feet off the ground. The second flight is where you move higher in the tunnel (I hope you purchased the high flight), with the instructor holding on all the way. After everyone has finished and before you leave the ready area the instructor hops in to demonstrate the twists, turns, flips, and other crazy stunts that are possible with enough practice. When my group was finished I hung around because other people I knew were in the group that followed. That group also included a much more advanced student. He was able to do many of the "tricks" our instructor had demonstrated; not quite as well but pretty darn close. Afterwards I asked him how long it had taken him to learn as much as he had. He told me. FIVE HOURS! That's the accumulation of one and two minute flights and why I said at the beginning that doing this a couple of times is great and if you want to take it to the next level it will likely take many, many (, many) more visits. Two quick tips since you've stuck around for so long: 1) When you enter the tunnel they say to lean in. I suggest a slight spring, like you are standing next to a bed and what to do a gentle belly flop in the center. 2) Don't fight the wind too much with your arms; allow some "give". That will increase your stability tremendously. (I learned that from the 5-hour guy.) read more

Ok - Let's get the negative out of the way: It's pricey. WAY pricey. And I was annoyed that it seemed we were asked to be there an hour before our flight time when we really only needed to be maybe 30 minutes early. We did a lot of waiting. With that out of the way - YAY! My family and I went for mom's day and it was fab! We bent in a few odd directions... my neck and back had crimps, but they were gone within an hour after the flying - nothing too bad; my 28 yr old (in good shape) son whimpered about his hip having a little pain - he'll be all right I am sure. I think it was being nervous. Next time I will be more relaxed... and there should be a next time! It is SUPER safe, don't be scared off by the warnings - those were written by attorneys who surely would never do it themselves (OR, they were trying to make it seem more dangerous than it is). My 11 yr old high anxiety kid (won't do ropes obstacle courses, hot air ballooning or ANYTHING that is a bit scary) did it and was smiling and said he wanted to go back again. We saw much smaller kids, too. Probably under 7 is too small, as there was one that looked to be around 3 that left twice kinda panicked. Something fun! Sometimes different! My oldest son wants to get a job there - and I could totally see it. I hope he follows through, I think he'd have a blast. read more

Against my better judgment, I organized an indoor skydiving excursion for a few friends. A few of us wanted to test the waters before determining whether or not we'd do the real thing. Well, let me say this....I will NOT be doing the real thing!! The process was easy. I inquired online and someone contacted me the same day. We booked a package for 12 people. We received forms and such via email. We were able to fill them out online prior to arrival. Check in time is one hour before flight time. We arrived at 6pm and check in was a breeze. We were able to watch the instructors play around. This helped me build up a little courage. However, this is far harder than it looks!! Goodness gracious!! Our instructor, Robert O. was awesome. Cute, funny and knowledgable. Side note: I still demand a recount. :-) He only gave me 2 checks on my flight certificate. But I have a sharpie, I add my own check marks. :-) I didn't pass out so that alone should earn me a check. I digress. Moving on....We had a quick informational session. He gave us the do's and dont's. Helped us practice our form and we were off. Unfortunately, I had the pleasure of going last and watching how awesome many of my buds were. Oooooh the pressure....I stepped into this wind tunnel...OMG!! I don't know why anyone would want to do this!!!!!! It was the longest minute of my life! Lol! Don't misinterpret, it wasn't scary. It was an extreme amount of wind. Since you can't talk with the instructor while in the tunnel, you have to watch for queues. It was hard to breathe, focus on the queues given, correct my form based on those queues and keep my eyes open. I found myself watching the countdown clock and reminding myself to breathe. It was pretty hilarious to say the least. Our second flight was a high flight. Something I did not want to do! But I didn't want to wuss out after everyone else did it. :-/ Again, longest minute of my life! It was an experience. I rate 5 stars because the experience was awesome. Great ambiance with good music. The place is clean. The staff is super friendly and kind. It's absolutely worth checking out if THIS is your thing. I discovered that it's NOT my thing. iFly is a really neat and advanced concept. It just needs to be executed better. Once you arrive and check-in, you walk up a flight of stairs to the observation deck. A large transparent wind tunnel is in the middle with seats all around for non-flyers. The "training" is just basically a short video with the instructor reviewing the four hand signals. It takes about 15 minutes. Then, you proceed to put on the flight suit, goggles, helmet, and ear plugs. The helmet, goggles, and ear plugs can get really uncomfortable. The flight itself isn't easy but once you get the hang of it, it's a blast. One minute and thirty seconds doesn't seem like a long time but it's enough when you're flying. At the end, the instructor puts on a mini trick show with some impressive stunts and you receive a flight certificate and can purchase pictures/videos. Our instructor, Mikey, was extremely talented and very friendly and helpful. All in all, a fun experience but priced way too high. Once you do it once, you probably won't do it again for a while. read more

This place is cool, but I can't see myself going back as its insanely expensive for what you get. My friend and I bought the Spread your Wings package for 2 for $149. It included two 1 minute flights and 1 video per person. Of course as soon as we got there to check in they quickly tried to upsell us. For $29 a person we could get a full face mask, "fly higher", an extra minute (the guy at the desk lied and told us it was 2 extra minutes), and a photo. Since this was our first time there and probably our last, we figured might as well try it all, so in the end we paid about $100 each for 3 minutes in the wind tunnel. The instructor was really nice but they pretty much hold you the whole time, there is really no way to practice or get the full experience in 1 minute increments. The highlight of the whole experience was the "high flight" that I had to pay extra for where the instructor basically took you higher up in the wind tunnel while spinning around. I can't see this place have a good return visitor rate, anyways it was fun to try once, but at the cost of almost $35 a minute, you may want to save your money. read more

So much fun and so much harder than it looks! We paid extra for the high flight where the instructor takes you up to the top. It was totally worth it!! Definitely add it on to your package! I have a few ranking for this place. Fun:5 stars Instructors: 5 stars: they are great to work with and really know their stuff. It was also really fun watching them show off their skills; they make it all look so easy, but after trying it yourself you realize just how talented they are. Kiosks: 2: checking in was slow due to a really slow system. We also didn't purchase a video or pictures because the system was painfully slow and after 2 error messages we gave up. Equipment: 3: the standard goggles get really uncomfortable and fog up a lot. You can upgrade to a full helmet with a full face shield but, I feel that for the price they should be standard. The real reason it lost a star...My big compliant is with purchased package and communication. We paid for 4 min each which according to the package description online can be 2 double lenght flights (2x2min) or 4 flights (4x1min). We each ended up with 1x~1.5min and 1x2min. We would have much preferred 4x1 min but none of this was discussed with us before we started. Instead it came up before our second time in the tunnel and the instructor just said "oh we will make this one 2 min and the first one was about 2 min." Fine, but it still wasn't the 4min I paid for (really 8 min as we had two 4 min packages) and for the price you pay every second counts. It's also hard to argue or discuss at that point because you have earplugs and the wind tunnel is loud. Had I know we were only gong to get 2 turns in the tunnel each I would have booked the less expensive package. It was still really was fun, but I definitely recommend discussing what you want and the package you purchased before you start. read more

How do you practice skydiving? Well, practicing whilst plummeting to earth is the true "do or (literally) die" training, but if you want to perfect your skydiving form minus the 13,000 feet, iFly Loudoun is pretty freaking perfect for the job. And if you just want to feel like a skydiver without the sky part, this is also perfect. The building looks really odd from the outside since it almost completely lacks windows. But inside, it's something out of a sci-fi original. You check in downstairs and walk upstairs to see a large tube of floating human(s) defying gravity superman style. They throw you into a quick "how to" class and then you meet your instructor. This is really for anyone and everyone. We walking in on a birthday party of 10 year olds flying. The dude in front of me in line was completely blind. Oh man - the first thing he said when he finished his flight was "Did I do it?! Did I fly??" H-lls to the yes you did man! He even went up about 35 feet in the tube for the "high flight" - more on that now. Things to Note / Know: - Buy more than a minute flight. You really need a bit longer to get the feel of what's happening. Try a minute and a half per flight. We did 2 flights at 2 minutes each (roughly) - Do the high flight. It's an extra 9.95 at the door, but it's the funnest part. - You can buy return packages for cheaper if you buy them before you leave. Each flight you master earns you the ability to try another challenge like flipping and such. - They said to show up an hour early, but I think we got in there super quick. Plus you get to watch other people go, so there's no lack of entertainment. - Your friends can film you on their smart phones as long as they're not in your flight group. - You have to take out all earrings / jewelry before flight and you'll have to put your hair in a ponytail. Bring hair ties. - Spring for the closed helmets (vs open face). You can breathe so much easier and you don't look like a test pilot for NASA in your photos. It's an extra $10 after your flight. - You can decide to purchase photos / videos after your flight. I think that about covers it! Definitely a blast, and perfect practice for the real thing. We bought another 10 minutes of flight time. Really happy to have this just down the street. read more

I came here with my family and we had an amazing experience! Check-in was very easy and everyone was very friendly. We arrived an hour early and after waiting around 20 min (we were able to watch other groups go into the wind tunnel) we were led into a room to watch a quick 5 min video on body position and hand signals. We then placed all our loose items into a locker and received our suits, helmets (and earplugs), and goggles. I would definitely recommend getting the high flight option because that was my favorite part of being in the wind tunnel! Our instructor Dillon was charismatic and friendly. Um, this place was cool. The closest i will probably ever get to skydiving. It was a very quick experience for a lottttt of waiting. They were backed up on that particular day so we had to wait (i came with a grouo of 12) for the training room to be opened. The "training" was extremely easy and took all of 5 minutes. Then we each did two rounds (1 minute each) in the simulator. It was cool, i guess i was just expecting more? I paid the extra $10 to go to the top, which again it was fine but didnt blow my mind. But its probably me, maybe im just generally unimpressed by certain things. We got numbers to go look at our pictures (and potentially order) - they only took two pics of me and both were terrible, some of the others in my party had 6, 7 pics taken of them. I was a bit disappointed in that. But whatever. If i had children i would probably take them there, could be a really cool practical application of a science lesson of some sort. read more

From the moment we walked in, we were continuously welcomed by the staff. Ernie was a great instructor and made the process very fun. The flights are about a minute each and sound short, but are long enough to let you get the hang of it. So much fun! I've been wanting to try iFLY forever but the price tag definitely deterred me. I bit the bullet for a birthday present and I am so glad that I did. It's so worth the money. The entire staff is so amazing and friendly. You go through a training for a few minutes and then it's showtime! You can pay for 2 min or more. Definitely splurge for the high fly experience at the end. It's definitely exhilarating-I wasn't a fan of being on display, but once you're in the wind tunnel you forget about all the eyes! Definitely, definitely, definitely a must...trust me on this and thank me later! read more

Full disclosure: I got to participate in this for free with a group I was working with. I'm usually nervous about extreme activities but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to participate in this (since I would likely never pay) and ended up liking it a lot. You have an instructor with you the whole time and, as long as you're following their directions, you feel safe and controlled. You won't go high on your first time, so don't go in with unrealistic expectations. The instructors also put on a great show and make it look very easy, though it's much more difficult to control yourself alone. Unless you have an injury, this chicken would encourage you give indoor skydiving a chance if you get the opportunity. read more
