When you first arrive you have to do a waiver and get weighed (can't fly over 300 lbs, and maybe can't fly if b/w 260 and 300. This is where the most annoying parts of the visit was for me. There are bunch of touchscreens in the check in area, and they could just have you go there and check in. But instead you have to scan a QR code on your phone and do it online. Makes no sense, especially since you have to watch a safety video, which you are now doing on a tiny phone, and there are about 5 others walking around you doing the same. Once you check in you get a wristband and go upstairs. Once upstairs there are lockers to store your stuff. Then you get a jumpsuit, goggles and helmet and they guide you through fitting the helmet. Then you meet your "guide" for the session, and he/she brings you into another room, where the second annoying thing happens. You watch the SAME safety video again. Then the guide goes through it again in person. Frankly, the guide's in-person spiel was the best and they could have ditched the other 2. Once you get in it's a great time. The key is to RELAX. If you are tense, it is a lot harder to get stable, and if you're not stable you will waste some of your precious 90 seconds of flight time while the guide tries to stabilize you. The last downside, it is PRICEY. Groups can get discounts and party packages, but it's never cheap. Definitely a once-in-a-while thing unless you have a lot of disposable income. Would I go back? Definitely, but only once in a while and ready to drop some serious $$.

The wait time was extremely long (10 AM appointment but didn't jump until 4:30 PM), however it was Memorial Day, so I imagine that is quite a busy day. Everyone there seemed so knowledgeable and experienced, it was actually shocking the number of times they had each jumped. 500,700, 11,000....I mean a LOT of jumps! Through the course of the day I watched the training classes over and over again, it was great to watch the team put everyone at ease with their expertise. I purchased the skydiving for my boyfriend as a gift, and even that experience was excellent. Dave was the man who helped me place my order and answered all of my questions, and when the day arrived, Dave was also the man who tandem guided my boyfriend to safety. He has a very welcoming and calming personality. I purchased a video of the event which was absolutely worth the fee. The DVD was amazing to watch and pretty nicely edited, especially considering I was able to take it with us that same day. It also came with a DVD of still photographs. After the jump we left with all sorts of neat swag; stickers, certificates, coupons....it was nice to get the souvenirs in addition to the memory. One thing I would change would be the addition of vending, there is a soda machine but with the long wait time we wound up being very hungry and had to leave to go get a snack.

My friend and I came here and we filled out all our consent forms and gave them the Groupon code. Then they took us to the back and explained everything to us. In the plane, you basically sit shotgun while the experienced professional flies the plane into the air to a safe altitude and then they give you control. Flying the actual plane was such an amazing experience. It felt scarier than skydiving to me. The instructor let's you fly for about 20-30 minutes and then he takes you down to the location. He also lands the plane. It apparently gets added to your flight hours if you were planning on becoming licensed. This is a once in a lifetime experience that I high encourage you try. I don't regret it in the slightest and the staff here make you feel safe.

Friendly staff and great Certified Flight Instructors. I highly recommend Dream Flight School if you're looking to obtain your PPL or IFR certificate. The planes used are clean and well maintained, some are even being updated with the newest technology. Additionally KDMW Airport is clean, and the Skytech staff are friendly. It's always nice to have the people fueling your planes encourage your progress -- just adds to the overall experience at Dream Flight School!

Ifly provides a sustained flying experience using a powerful wind tunnel that propels you and that you can control with the help of your instructor and your own body movement. While each flight only lasts about a minute, it feels much longer with the overload of senses and adjusting to a new experience. The whole staff was great - super patient, welcoming, and genuinely wanting you to have a good time and take in the experience. I especially appreciated Andrew explaining some of the science behind you being lifted in the air and floating and providing a chance to test out different movements. Ifly also does a great job providing STEM learning opportunities for students. When I arrived they had different objects floating and were talking through the aerodynamics and physics of each. While the experience is quick, lasting about a minute per flight, it is memorable, unique, and about 1/4th the price of sky diving and I would argue a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. I'm looking forward to a return visit!

Over the last several years I have visited Seven Springs a couple of times to use extra days I had…read moreon my Epic Day pass. Seven Springs is about a 3 hour drive each way for me. Getting to the resort is reasonable and while the parking is mostly free each time I have ended up parking in the East Lot which results in a long walk through the Main Lodge and then to the Ski Lodge; not a lot of fun in full ski gear and carrying my skis. Both of my trips were in early spring so the ski conditions were ok, but not great. The slopes had decent snow coverage but there were large stretches of dirt between the slopes. Seven Springs has a good lift system that gets you up the hill and to the slopes efficiently. The slopes near the Ski Lodge are a bit shorter and generally easier. The North Face slopes are a bit longer and more challenging. The general feeling at Seven Springs is that the slopes are very wide open with not a lot of trees near the slopes. Seven Springs is a decent place to ski, however I find that it is not really challenging or charming. From what I have heard it is a great place for families to have a ski vacation as the lodge is slopeside and there is plenty of family friendly activities available. For a one day trip it is just ok, but I would only go there if I need to use up a ski day on the Epic Pass. Of course if it was closer to me it would be more appealing, also I would expect that if the snow coverage is good it would also be more fun. With all that said a day skiing is still a great day, for me there are better options for skiing about the same distance away.

Conference food was mediocre, but on par with other big events done at a moderate price. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we did have fun at the bars. Now, I didn't ski there, but coming from the west coast, the ski hills seemed... tiny. Maybe there was some steeper stuff hidden away, and I am sure it would be a good place to learn, but you are going to graduate from the hills you can see from the resort pretty easily.
