Today was my second time jumping (both times with John Smith). He's amazing, fun, and extremely focused on safety! Although I was tandem with John, Bobby jumped shortly after us and joined us in free fall. Watching the things he can do was unreal and the coolest experience! I will be back!!!!

What an amazing experience. First I'll just say, I researched this organization in detail before I scheduled my appointment. I have family and friends that have also jumped from this location and everyone has nothing but amazing things to say. With all that amazing feedback it still took me years to book, nevertheless, I jumped! The staff is warm, welcoming, passionate, fun, and professional. From start to finish I felt extremely protected and safe. Try to arrive at least an hr before you jump, if you do, you'll be able to watch others prepare for their jump. Ask questions! Be nervous! It's all apart of the experience I screamed the entire time so I'm very thankful that my instructor was calm. Last tip. While on the plane, I looked around at the staff, all of whom were professional jumpers, and I knew that if they could go on 7 jumps a day, I could definitely complete 1. You got this!

These folks are a class act. Very professional. They have thought of everything. Just show up prepare to sign your life away :) - The crew, pilot, receptionist, everyone - was just super nice. My son and I did tandem jumps here last Thursday. Weather was prefect. We had to wait longer than expected (2 hours). The instructors are all very experienced and top notch. The jump is terrifying and thrilling all at the same time. I would do this again in a heart beat. Spurge for the video. We must have watched that video a dozen times reliving the experience. This sport is not cheap, but you can't take it $$ with you. Give them a try. We'll be back! The wife has finally agreed to do this.

First time jumping tandem on Sunday June 16th and I had the freakin time of my life! Any anxieties were quickly erased when you get a chance to see how organized and professional this team is. Whether it's your first time jumping like me, or your 100th jump, these guys and gals are incredible. I had the pleasure of jumping with Zack (Zachary) and he was amazing! He was really attentive in making sure I was fitted properly into the harness and going over all the steps we'd be taking. He made sure to tell me just to have fun and leave the rest to him and I definitely did. Cannot recommend this team and Zack enough for your skydiving needs! Will definitely be back. - my personal advice is to pay extra for the video package!!! I am so thankful I did as I am able to share this exhilarating experience with anyone when I'm talking about my time there!

Skydiving in Virginia and Washington DC | Skydive Orange July 2023 When you willingly get pushed out of a perfectly good airplane! I added Skydiving to my bucket list about 4 years ago and I finally got to check it off. I scheduled a tandem jump for July 28, 2023, at 0930 with Skydive Orange. An incredible adventure with great staff that made me feel extremely comfortable and prepared. A+, 100 on a scale of 1 to 10. We arrived at Skydive Orange around 0910 and checked out the aircraft and facilities. They had both a single engine and dual engine aircraft on the tarmac, which looked in good order, well maintained and even fairly new. While I was the only jumper, my wife was with me the entire time, right up to me boarding the aircraft. Everyone was very friendly and interacted with us both. We checked in with the office and after watching the "this is dangerous," "you could die," "You can't sue anyone" videos, filling out and signing the same waivers, getting weighed and making the final payment, we were told we could wait in the hanger for my trip. Within minutes of finishing, I was called by my tandem instructor, John Smith. John greeted me and treated me like he had known me forever. Super friendly, super energetic, super informative and super professional. As John harnessed me up, he was explaining everything that I would be experiencing. After gearing up, I was also introduced to my videographer, Mikey. Mikey interviewed me for the pre-jump and post jump phase and was smooth at making me relaxed and not sounding like a babbling idiot. Within minutes, John, Mikey and I were directed to the plane along with 11 other jumpers. As the plane taxied to the runway, John continually explained to me what was all happening and why. Also, multiple times during the flight to altitude, John performed safety checks of our gear and asked if I was ready to go. This was to make sure I had the opportunity to back out, if I so chose. John and another instructor on the aircraft were very good at answering the multitude of questions I had during the flight. John can definitely read his audience and made me feel very comfortable and prepared. At altitude and completely secured to John, the time came for the jump. The 11 other jumpers exited the plane first and it was my turn. Mikey was on the outside of the plane capturing all of the action of us getting to the door. Sitting on the floor, with my feet and legs out of the aircraft, I saw my first glimpse of the ground, 13,500 feet below. And just like John had prepped me, "Ready, steady, spaghetti" we were out the door and in freefall. This is an incredible feeling of flying. No sensation of falling, just the rush of wind pelting your body and right in front of us was Mikey, filming it all. Waves, thumbs up, yells of excitement were the course of action. I am afraid of heights. Standing at the edge of a 10-foot-high roof makes me nervous. There was no nervousness at all during the freefall and no sense of falling. John assisted me, into, and helped maintain the arch position for free fall. The next thing was the opening of the parachute. I saw john wave to Mikey, so I waived to Mikey as well. What I did not see was John's signal that he was deploying the chute. The force of the chute opening against the wind was pretty strong and we were whisked upwards and away from Mikey and the camera. Once under canopy, John did safety checks and asked if I wanted to fly the chute, which I of course did. At this point, it was a beautiful view, a nice slow meandering ride across the sky. The silence was incredible, and John and I were carrying on a conversation in a normal voice. Again, John answered all of my questions about why things were done and what made stuff work. We could see the other jumpers floating below us, following their flight patterns and down to the landing zone. The only time I felt any "roller coaster" sensations was when John asked if I wanted to do a hard turn. We did and during the 10 second, 360-degree turn, it felt like we dropped several feet, which put my stomach in my throat until we flared out the parachute and returned to straight and level flight. The landing was interesting, as I watched the individual skydivers land on their feet and walk forward to stop. Being a tandem, we landed in a butt slide, and it was smooth as butter. Even though the website said to be prepared to spend 4 to 6 hours, I was scheduled at 0930 and was on the ground by 1058. Overall, a great adventure, with a very professional, friendly and informative staff and a top-notch facility.

This was my very first time sky-diving for me and my friends. Their team took very good care of us. They were very respectful when going through with Tandem-skydive. I really appreciated the extra effort they put in when I told them I wanted to experience everything they can offer when jumping out of the plane and while falling down through the sky. 10/10 would recommend!

Really awesome experience with awesome people! This was my first time skydiving, but my boyfriend's third. They tell you to expect to be there for 4-5 hours, but most of that time is spent waiting your turn. Our appointment was 1:15, but we started gearing up around 3, and boarding the plane around 3:30. My tandem instructor was super cool and made me feel reassured. He even let me pull the parachute cord! I felt safe the entire time and he took his time to show me some cool landscapes while in the sky.

Absolutely incredible experience. I've wanted to do a tandem jump for a decade, but was never able to get around to it. I decided the other day to book a slot at Skydive Orange after a recommendation from an experienced skydiver and could not have been happier. My instructor / tandem with Mills felt very safe, and I was walked through every step of the process. Seeing Mills go through his own safety checks and double-checking others too made the whole jump stress free. Pricing is very fair for a tandem skydive and afterwards they give you a voucher for your next jumps. I will ABSOLUTELY be back.

Absolutely nothing but nice things to say about this place. I walked in and instantly felt like family. I surprised my wife and best friend with tandem jumps. We checked in and watched a short video. After that they suited up and went to jump. Everyone was so friendly and make everything less stressful. I would go back again for another great experience. John Smith did an amazing job with the jump and I hope everyone else had a great experience.

Had the best experience of my life with my best friend! Chris is amazing and hilarious, he made the experience less scary and more enjoyable! Highly recommend!

This jump zone is the benchmark of skydiving. A highly organized staff coordinates your parachuting experience in a manner that respects your fears, apprehension, and enthusiasm. A first-time jumper is accompanied through the preliminary training by the Instructor with whom you will jump. You are treated with respect and a calming presence that never pushes or ridicules. Then, when you realize they are never going to ask you to do anything that has not been done by thousands of people, you jump and have the greatest thrill possible. If I can do it at 80, you can too!

My son jumped on Saturday and I went with him, he was extremely nervous and excited at the same time however I don't think his anxiety was anywhere near mine as a parent. He was jumping tandem and was paired with Tanner aka Pony Boy, within minutes Tanner calmed our (MY) fears and it was clear he knew what he was doing and my son was in good hands. We opted for the video and pictures and I would highly recommend getting them they turned out great and are worth every penny of the price. I am even considering taking the leap myself and would request Tanner as a requirement for me. Great job Skydive Orange

BLUF: a great time, and well run…read more Went with a large group on a Saturday. When you first arrive you have to do a waiver and get weighed (can't fly over 300 lbs, and maybe can't fly if b/w 260 and 300. This is where the most annoying parts of the visit was for me. There are bunch of touchscreens in the check in area, and they could just have you go there and check in. But instead you have to scan a QR code on your phone and do it online. Makes no sense, especially since you have to watch a safety video, which you are now doing on a tiny phone, and there are about 5 others walking around you doing the same. Once you check in you get a wristband and go upstairs. Once upstairs there are lockers to store your stuff. Then you get a jumpsuit, goggles and helmet and they guide you through fitting the helmet. Then you meet your "guide" for the session, and he/she brings you into another room, where the second annoying thing happens. You watch the SAME safety video again. Then the guide goes through it again in person. Frankly, the guide's in-person spiel was the best and they could have ditched the other 2. Once you get in it's a great time. The key is to RELAX. If you are tense, it is a lot harder to get stable, and if you're not stable you will waste some of your precious 90 seconds of flight time while the guide tries to stabilize you. The last downside, it is PRICEY. Groups can get discounts and party packages, but it's never cheap. Definitely a once-in-a-while thing unless you have a lot of disposable income. Would I go back? Definitely, but only once in a while and ready to drop some serious $$.

Thanks Willis! You can easily spend a lot of money here. Go for it. Purchase the go higher option…read more Have a friend take pictures/videos as theirs is only ok. No complaints would do it again. They go weigh you upon entry lol no worries as no one can see you. Makes sense do the instructor know how much find force to use.

Ifly provides a sustained flying experience using a powerful wind tunnel that propels you and that you can control with the help of your instructor and your own body movement. While each flight only lasts about a minute, it feels much longer with the overload of senses and adjusting to a new experience. The whole staff was great - super patient, welcoming, and genuinely wanting you to have a good time and take in the experience. I especially appreciated Andrew explaining some of the science behind you being lifted in the air and floating and providing a chance to test out different movements. Ifly also does a great job providing STEM learning opportunities for students. When I arrived they had different objects floating and were talking through the aerodynamics and physics of each. While the experience is quick, lasting about a minute per flight, it is memorable, unique, and about 1/4th the price of sky diving and I would argue a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. I'm looking forward to a return visit!
