I live in a condo community they manage. They are fine taking care of routine things like scheduling pest control, gardening services, etc. However, I had some pretty bad experience dealing with them due to their lack of sense of urgency, as well as curt/rude email communication. Customer service was inconsistent to homeowners (yet always nice to HOA board members). However, customer service seems to now have improved - they now make follow-up calls to homeowners who had requested service or reported issues before the HOA meetings to ensure that those homeowners' issues have been resolved. A step in the right direction so I'm giving a neutral 3 stars. Will continue to evaluate their service and update review. read more

This company is so disorganized! When calling the company, they said that they didn't manage the property that was in question. Then, they changed their mind and said that they did manage the property. Which one was it??? Would you not know if you manage a property? Very scary! Next, a check was sent via courier to process the documents of the property. In calling the company, it was discovered that they had lost the cashier's check. I was told to go to the bank to retrieve a copy of the back of the check. That makes no sense! When a cashier's check is created, the money is taken out of your account. It's not like a regular check. I then went to the bank to get a letter stating the check was or was not cashed because the property management did not don't know where it is or if it was even cashed. Wow! You can't make up this stuff up. Sadly, this organization will be our new HOA Property Management Company. Guess who is going to join the Board... read more

Property management is a delicate business where the company has to balance following the CCR's and Governance mandates set in place by majority vote. While having to appease hundreds of homeowners and their own agenda. IDS Asset Management is incredibly knowledgable and professional in their stewardship for each HOA they manage. They have helped us time and again and never stop being such lovely folks when we spot an issue. Lived for 2.5 years under this management company. Communication about concerns were answered 4 times out of 5 in a hostile, abrasive or dismissive manner. Especially when communicating with Ms. Drivas, the executive manager. I'm a quiet tenant, however I still feel strongly enough about this company to write this review. Seemingly bothered by the concerns of their tenants, the tone at which they spoke to me was often rude, defensive, a lot of law speak and hardly personable. I lived in a community with low HOA reserves and we were definitely treated that way. We had only once a year HOA meetings, which weren't conducive to creative solutions for the community. The solutions revolved around higher fees, minimum maintenance and as I learned exploitive HOA sellers fees. Supercilious management, poor customer service. read more

IDS has managed the property I am residing in for the last 5+ years. Never have I been treated so rudely by anyone. I have only called this company less that 5 times or the years and every time Tracy, the manager is very disrespectful. She is hostile, unfriendly and has terrible customer service skills. Must really hate her job. I would stay clear of this company as they do have poor property mgmnt skills. Our property is deteriorating, the landscaping has been neglected, the roofs are leaking ect...we have no reserves. read more

Every time I call IDS about a maintenance issue they not only respond immediately, but they also follow up a week later to make sure the issue was handled. I have been an owner in Bixby Green Condos, Garden Grove since 1986. We've gone through several management companies through the years. However, when our Board selected IDS Management, things have drastically changed for the better. Tracy Drivas, the executive manager has been wonderful and works well with our Board. She is highly respected by owners. The office workers are exceptional. When I've had plumbing issues or other maintenance issues over the years, their response has always been immediate. Tracy and her staff personnel, "Paige" are very personable. When my husband had a stroke and was finally out of the hospital, the home care nurses recommended that a banister be installed on our steps leading to our front door. It was installed immediately! Follow up has always been part of their M.O. when concerns have been expressed. We are in a remodel project right now, and all issues pertaining to that have been addressed and are in progress. My experience with Tracy and her staff in all aspects of communication have been handled in a polite, respectful and professional manner. The people of our Bixby Green Community are their first priority. The cooperation of the staff in extra curricular events has been very positive and professional. Whether it is an event for the children in our community, garage sales, or other events, ...IDS staff have been very cooperative, supportive and helpful as well. IDS is the current property manager of Villa Mariposa HOA of which I am a resident of 25+ years. The role of management has never been popular, but it is a necessity of planned communities. My recent encounters with IDS and Tracy in particular have been most unpleasant. Her work is sloppy and inconsistent. Communication are riddled with half truths and fabrications. She will intimidate and threaten, even attempting to enforce non existent rules or regulations. Her fallback line is "I am only following instruction from the homeowners board". I am so glad I moved into a community managed by IDS. Not only did they send me the nicest homeowner welcome letter when I moved in, they immediately responded to maintenance issues within my condo. They were in constant contact with me every step of the way---from following up to letting me know what vendors would be contacting me, keeping me informed of the bidding process, letting me know what vendors were awarded the work and following up afterwards to make sure I was satisfied with the work. Can't say this for the last association I lived in---I could leave five messages with the property manager before I ever got a call back and it took forever to get anything fixed. IDS calls back the very same day you leave a message. And, they are the nicest people to deal with. Tracy treats her associations as if they were her family. She actually cares and so does her staff. read more

My aunt lives in a property managed by IDS, and since she is getting up there in age I step in to help/handle things for her when they are on the more important end of the spectrum. I've called IDS a couple times when my aunt has gotten different pieces of correspondence from them, and each time they have been friendly and helpful. Most recently, I called to discuss a maintenance issue my aunt was having that required a visit by a vendor. Tracy was extremely nice and heard me out, then asked me to send an email reiterating what I had told her so there would be a paper trail, which I appreciated since a paper trail means accountability on all sides. My aunt's problem was fixed very quickly, and Tracy called both me and my aunt to make sure the work was done to our satisfaction. Tracy was SO nice; I'm guessing there's a lot more to the story behind the negative reviews on here that I was honestly shocked to see. All I know is that IDS has made life easier for me and my aunt. I have had the pleasure of working with IDS for many years. The community I live in was in quite a financial disarray before Tracy and her associates at IDS took over management. Within a short time, they corrected years of neglect and hardship. Over the last year, IDS has seamlessly walked our community through a $1.5 million renovation. They are always available to answer calls and discuss concerns with homeowners. Tracy and her associates are efficient and knowledgeable about all things having to do with property management. I don't know where to begin. We have owned our home for 10+ years. First they were Rightway now they are IDS. Probably had to change the name because of their horrible reputation. Tracy is a straight up liar. Will act like she cares and is listening and then slaps a BS email to you claiming "the board" or "nothing can be done". I wonder how she sleeps at night. Oh I know- she blames everyone else and continues to lie. Numerous people in my area are moving because our dues have doubled in the last couple years. Not to mention the harassment and dirty looks everyone receives is unprofessional. I am tired of living somewhere where board meetings are always cancelled, no one takes responsibility, and it isn't even relaxing to come home anymore. Something will always be scrutinized. Tracy if you are reading this- people are very upset to put it nicely. You have a duty to the board AND homeowners. Don't forget that.
