Mitch is fantastic. No, wait, Mitch is ALL CAPS FANTASTIC…read more He is personable, kind, honest, and sincere. He is also funny and cool; as one of the other reviewers said, you'd like to have a beer with him. You can work with Mitch in two ways. One: he might happen to have the perfect car for you sitting in his lot already. If so, lucky you! He only sells cars that are in great shape, often managing to find what I call "car unicorns" (one-owner cars with great maintenance records from states without road salt or flooding). Two: if Mitch doesn't happen to have the right car for you, you can use him as a sort of "car sommelier." He'll help you figure out what kinds of cars you might like (which was super helpful for me), steer you away from bad years or bad models, and then, when you know what you want, he'll source you a great car. When the car arrives in PDX, he'll take it to a reputable mechanic to make sure it's in tip top shape. We were definitely going to use Mitch to source a car for us, but, alas, we unexpectedly found our own extremely rare "unicorn" at a different dealer. But I will absolutely use Mitch's services when it's time to replace our next car. In fact, I am looking forward to it. Shocking! Thanks, Mitch. You rock.

Bonus for having kids toys around to make it easier to keep the kids busy. Would recommend Stolz Motors every time, the ideal car dealer that operates on integrity, honesty and quality.

Our son's going away for college and needed his own car, instead of borrowing ours. Plus he does food deliveries and needs good transportation. Our experience had been that advertisers exaggerated the condition of their SUVs. We found an SUV posting in cargurus.com but it wasn't our son's first choice in color. But we read YELP reviews and saw the Google ratings of Continental Motors, so we contacted them. Do to COVID-19, Sean said he could drive the car to meet with us. He wore a mask, and we could smell the sanitizer in the car. A good thing considering the current atmosphere we're all living in now. The Honda CR-V had the best ride of all the other ones we'd test-driven. There were some minor items that needed to be provided or replaced, and Sean said "no problem". Sean never pressured us. He's friendly, helpful, experienced, and professional. Usually going to a used car dealer is the last thing we'd like to do on our list. But Sean really impressed us. From start to finish, with regards to buying a used car from a car dealer, working with Sean has been THE BEST experience we've had. And we have purchased used cars since 1983 in different states and overseas (we're a military family). Our son LOVES his SUV! He's so excited that he's now searching for affordable waterproof two-toned (black and red) car seats to match his SUV. KUDOS to Sean and Continental Motors! A local family-owned small business!

ago ***** UPDATE ***** BUYER BEWARE *****…read moreThe refurbished battery that was put into the car started to have problems with bad battery cells. The low battery charge warning would come on and the car would go into "turtle mode". We contacted EV Rides, and they took the car to fix it, because it was still under the warranty. However, after a month they returned the car to us but the problem was not fixed and the same issue persisted. Now our car doesn't last over 25 to 30 miles without going to a low battery charge and turtle mode. EV Rides has ghosted us when we try to contact them! Thus BUYER BEWARE!!!!! EV Rides is definitely the place to NOT go if one is wanting a used electric vehicle (EV) that has been reinvigorated by the installation of a new battery. The 2013 Nissan Leaf that we purchased through EV Rides was great and a lot of fun to zip around town in, until this issue occurred with the battery.

EV rides and Guillermo provided more options than expected to make sure that we got the right car for our family. Buying from EV Rides is very different from the dealer because they work closely with the specific types of cars that they sell; unlike a dealer whose main focus is to get all car modes within their brand out of the lot as soon as possible. As of 6 months, our car and battery is working well and has been driving great with no problems. We recommend EV Rides, especially to those who are buying their first older model EV with an upgraded battery for a fair price.

BUYER BEWARE: "CarMax Certified" Truck Failed in Hours, Leaving Me Out $27k Cash…read more I purchased a "CarMax Certified" 2022 Nissan Frontier (48,000 miles | VIN: 1N6ED1EKXNN614393) from the Clackamas location for over $27k IN CASH, expecting a reliable vehicle for my family and business. Our salesperson, Ian, was professional and great to work with, but the confidence ended less than two hours later. While driving home over the Oregon Coast Range with my 7-year-old daughter, the transmission began slipping, hesitating, and violently jerking forward at highway speeds. A local mechanic inspected it, and Nissan later confirmed a major transmission failure. Worse, Nissan found clear evidence that the transmission had been previously tampered with, removing the factory warranty coverage and throwing responsibility entirely back onto CarMax. The Corporate Runaround: Instead of standing behind their "certified" vehicle, CarMax has subjected me to a week of exhausting escalation and dodging: Service Manager John (Beaverton): Has held the truck for 6 days without providing a diagnosis. He doesn't return calls, ignores Nissan's service department, and literally laughed at the mechanical failure. Operations Manager Elliot: Recited a rigid corporate script to explain why he won't help. General Manager Eugene (Clackamas):Friendly enough, but completely lacks the authority to resolve the issue. The "Solutions" Offered: CarMax has verbally offered completely unacceptable options, refusing to put any of their extensions or promises in writing: 1. A sketchy repair: Forcing me to accept a truck with a known history of tampering, zero Nissan powertrain warranty, and a used/rebuilt LKQ transmission (which Nissan mechanics advised is a dangerous long-term solution). CarMax refused to include a MaxCare warranty to offset this massive risk. 2. An indefinite replacement search:Waiting forever for them to source a truck from across the country, while expecting *me* to pay the shipping costs for their failure. They refuse to do a fair price exchange for comparable trucks already available locally. 3. The Refund Trap: They told me it will take up to 10 days just to get my cash back. The Bottom Line: Vehicles break, but the way CarMax handles it is the real nightmare. Because they are holding onto my $27,000 cash for over a week, I am physically trapped without transportation and completely blocked from buying a reasonable replacement vehicle elsewhere. They gave me a small SUV rental that doesn't fit my business needs, meaning I am actively losing work income every single day while they sit on my money. My Advice: Do not trust Carmax. I thought I bought peace of mind; instead, I bought a $27k project, a week-long fight, and a complete loss of my transportation and livelihood.
