"I am an hour and a half early for my TSA pre appointment. Can you take me?" "Of course, no problem." I stroll in, Jacob, the person helping me is nice, helpful, makes conversation. I scan my paws, take my prints, and I'm out. I'm now lounging on said couch in said courtyard, using the free wifi and enjoying myself. All I need is an iced coffee and I'd be golden. read more

Great place to complete your TSA Pre-check enrollment in the South Bay! It's located by SJC airport in an office complex. I came on a Monday morning around 10AM and there was like hundreds of parking spaces available. Once you enter the main doors (look for 2570), take the elevator up to the second floor. There was no sign for Identogo on the first place, but luckily I read the reviews. Then, make a right, and you'll see multiple signs for the place! They don't have so much an "office" as much as a room. They have a waiting room, and the actual room to complete the enrollment across the hall. There isn't a front desk or anyone to check you in. You sit in the waiting room and wait for them to come in to take your ID and name down. Many people were confused, but that's just how the process is I guess. A bit confusing, but worked out. The rooms are really tiny though, please remember to wear a mask because there is no windows or ventilation. I didn't have an appointment and just walked in. There was only one person there before me around 10:30AM. However, like 5 people came after I checked in, so timing is hit or miss. A few were late to their appointments, a few were early, and there were walk ins as well. The worker was nice enough to take me in before all of these people since I arrived first. The worker confirmed all my information that I completed on the website, took my fingerprints, picture, and payment. It definitely felt like he hated his job, but he was efficient and completed everything within 10 min. I actually got an email notice confirming my eligibility from TSA the next day. This was such a fast process. Not only did it take under 30 minutes for the enrollment process, but I was not expecting to receive my KTA in ONE DAY! Overall, amazing service and location. This was the place I was able to make a reservation for TSA PreCheck. There were a good amount of appointments available. It wasn't super easy to find but I had a good navigator helping me read the numbers on the building. We went down N First, turned right on Component and then took a left into a driveway that isn't super easy to see. We wound our way around to the green building. Each building has different color stripes around the main doors. Parking is easy. And just about every space is painted with green lines instead of white lines. So weird. There are two bathrooms on the right as soon as you walk in. The elevators are on the left. Go up to the 2nd floor and turn right. The first door on the right is the waiting lounge, and they have a few other offices for processing. The people who work there are very personable and professional, and process you as quickly as they can. I think my husband was done in five minutes and I was seven because they needed to scan in my marriage license and it took 3 tries to get a picture (it's hard for me not to smile CHEESE when my picture is taken) Either I misread or the TSA thing was incorrect. I have a RealID and it said I didn't need any other documentation. Not true. I needed my birth certificate and marriage license. So I had to come back the next business day. I was sent here after signing up for precheck TSA online. It was the next step for them to do their background check to make sure you qualify. The location was a bit confusing to find since the address pointed to an LG building. There was no signs around the area that shows the name of this place IdentGO. I was able to find suite #106 on the side of the building outside which was the place. It was nothing special in the suite. It looks like they just moved in with a basic home style reception desk. The process was quick and easy. I showed them my passport, did some fingerprints, verify some information and it was done. After all that, they mentioned it will take 2 weeks to 60 days for me to a respond. read more

Looking like a weirdo again, I walked around the first floor looking for 106, only to be told it might be on the 2nd floor. Walked around and nope. FINALLY saw a janitor who pointed me in the right direction. Suite 106 faces the Main Street (N 1st). Plenty of parking. I had an appt but there was no wait in general. Process was super easy, maybe 5 min. They just confirmed my info on the application, fingerprints, paid, and done. I did ask why the website says temp closed and the lady said it's because they just moved into that new space and are waiting for their final approval. But they are very much open. read more

Important! 1735 N. 1st Street is the old address and it hasn't been changed on Yelp!, Google Maps or Apple Maps. Go with the address that you are sent via text or email from TSA Pre-check. The confusing part is the new address is also on 1st Street in SJ (believe it's 2750 N. 1st Street, but I don't have the link anymore.) Just like a ton of people I used Waze and double-checked on Google Maps and Yelp and ended up at the wrong place. It's so irresponsible of the owners not to get the address corrected on all the sites. It's like they don't give a ----- if you waste time trying to find their business . Wow after all these years of waiting in the long lines at the airport, I finally caved and signed up for TSA pre-check. I applied online and made an appointment for this IdentoGO location on North First Street. There is plenty of parking (I came on a Saturday), although on weekends, the building door is locked so you have to call the number on the door, and someone will escort you into the office. I showed up about 10 minutes early so I only had to wait about 10 minutes, but the whole fingerprinting and payment process took less than 5 minutes. It was a total breeze. While the office isn't very easy on the eyes, I still give this place props for efficiency. read more

Went here to do TSA pre check application. Did the pre questions online on a Sunday and made an appointment for the earliest day and time, which was the same week on a Friday. I didnt want to spend my Friday afternoon in San Jose, so I decided to drove to San Jose on a Monday afternoon to see if they would take me as a walk in. Arrived around 1pm on a Monday. Plenty of parking. Came into the building and went to the second floor, was greeted and asked if I had an appointment. I said, technically yes, I had an appointment, but for Friday and was wondering if I could do a walk in. Luckily it was dead! They said of course. Didn't wait long. An employee took me into his office and verified the answers to the questions I previously answered online. Took my fingerprints and my photo. And I paid 85 dollars. What a great experience! So I finally signed up for TSA Precheck so that I can travel without having to deal with the security lines, especially now that I have a baby. I was so hesitant as I imagined the process would be like going to the DMV, well I was wrong. My personal experience was amazing. I went online and filled out the application for the TSA Precheck and made an appointment for the next day to go in physically to get my prints taken and pay the $85 fee. My plans changed and I couldn't make my appointment so I walked in around 2pm and the lady at the front desk greeted me kindly and asked me to sign in. I waited for less than 10 min with my baby and all went smoothly. They do the fingerprinting and you pay your fee and that is it! Now I am good for 5 years! I didn't get her name but the lady with the glasses (Cecilia?) makes the process with the touchpad seamless. When you go in, you show your ID and passport/documents to the front desk and they'll seat you. Then they'll call you. My appt was at 1:50 and I was seen around 1:55. I was expecting an unpleasant DMV type of experience but was surprised to get the exact opposite! We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon without an appointment. Luck was VERY much on our side and we were seen almost right away (I would still recommend making an appointment). Ricki was very friendly and processed everything for our TSA Pre-Check and we were out the door in about 10 minutes. If you go on a Saturday there will be plenty of parking and you'll need to call the office to be let into the building. I made an appointment to come into the IdentoGo office on a friday, mid-afternoon. I parked on street parking only because I was already running late and the thought of having to look for "closer" parking while late was something I wasn't willing to go through. I did though found the office a little difficult to locate. Its located in a huge office building with many rooms and offices. There was a directory that listed all the offices in that building. IdentoGo was not on it. There was a sign against the wall to the left that said "TSA SCREENING". Followed the signed to the correct office. I was probably was about 15 mins late maybe even a little more than that. The ladies in the front asked me my appointment time and name. They quickly took me into the back room and scanned my documents, verified certain information, scanned my fingerprints and took a photo in under 10 mins. Very impressive. Needless to say, my whole experience was satisfactory. TIP: plan on arrive a little bit early to find parking. consider even walking time if you have to park on the street and also having to look for the office. read more

Disrespectful service from this gentleman. They left 20 minutes early for lunch & while knocking on the door we were completely ignored as he made it a point to not give us eye contact. The company is at 2540 N 1st St., Ste. 106. Turn off of N 1st onto Component Drive. Take the first driveway to the left. 2540 is the first building you see, just on your left. Drive around to the side of the building facing N 1st st. Suite 106 is on the ground floor. You cannot get to Suite 106 if you use any of the other entrances. There is plenty of parking and the people are very efficient. You will be in and out within 10-15 minutes with or without an appointment unless you go at one of the busy times around lunch. read more

They said to take a seat and within 15 minutes I was taken care of. Super easy process. They type some information in and take my picture. Got approved after a week and I was all set. As we were in the waiting area another group came in behind us without an appointment and was told that they may not get seen and that the wait could be 3 hours long. About a half an hour goes by and we have not been called yet and the group without an appointment gets called in ahead of us and a number of other people that were also there with appointments. We ask about this and get an answer that really doesn't address the question. They say the computer isn't working right and they aren't able to take people in the order they came in. Kind of a BS excuse since you are signing in on a piece of paper and should be going down the list in the order people came in, in accordance with their appointment. Michelle was great! My wife and I came in yesterday at 6:15pm and at the time...the sign said they weren't taking any walk-in customers. Fortunately, I had an appointment at 4:15pm. Unfortunately, I was late for my appointment by 2 hours and my wife was a walk-in and they weren't going to take her. I was able to sign-in and Michelle took verified my information and completed my fingerprint scans in minutes. I told her my wife was waiting in the lobby for me and that she had to come back because the sign said they weren't taking any more customers. Their office is on the first floor; just follow the signs for TSA Precheck. Once inside, you sign in at the front desk. Only about 8 chairs or so in the small waiting area, but they're comfy. Only 3 other people waiting when I arrived. I was 15 minutes early for my appointment but only waited about 10 minutes before getting called in. They reviewed my passport and took my fingerprints. There seems to be a parking deficiency, unless there's somewhere nearby we're actually allowed to park that this business does not tell you about when you sign up for a TSA Pre check here. Barring that, if you park within a half mile radius of this office, your car will likely be towed. All the nearby lots are authorized-vehicles-only-violators-will-be-towed, and all the streets are no-stopping-anytime. Your options are thus to have someone else drop you off, park in a residential area and walk the distance (as I did - about 15 minutes' walk), or pay money for parking in downtown San Jose and then more money for VTA light rail (as suggested when you schedule your TSA Pre screening appointment), not to mention the extra time and planning all that takes. The staff member I met with for the screening was polite and efficient, and the whole meeting was over in less than six minutes. The lobby is clean albeit small and has a nice atmosphere for waiting, but there's not very much seating. I was lucky to both have an appointment (I waited less than five minutes once I signed in) and to go in the middle of a weekday when it wasn't crowded. With not very many people there I still ended up having to do some squeezing around others to get in and out. I imagine it would be worse than a California DMV office at peak hours. read more

The customer service here is fabulous! It's the complete opposite of what I was dreading by imagining a DMV-like office staffed by overworked airport TSA agents. Scary thought, huh? I was entirely wrong! It was great! Before going to IdentoGO, I completed the TSA Pre-check online (takes 10 mins) and got an appt for the next week. Super easy. The office is located near the San Jose International airport, so I drove north on Hwy 87, exited on Airport Parkway and made an immediate left turn onto Technology Drive (by the Marriott Courtyard hotel). From there it's a short distance before turning right onto Metro Drive which is a cul de sac street with parking lots for the office buildings. The IdentoGO office is the first white building on the right, so I parked in that lot where there's plenty of spaces. The building entrance faces the lot so it's easy to find by following the sidewalk. The office is located on the first floor to the right of lobby and clearly marked. It's a really nice office with a friendly atmosphere. I was early to my appt but they took me right after checking in at front desk. Leanna was the person who took my fingerprints and processed my driver's license, birth certificate and marriage license. She was really fabulous; very professional and friendly. She worked quickly as she talked me thru the process (10 mins) and when I was done, she told me to expect a confirmation email within 2 weeks plus where I could check online for a status. I paid $85 via credit card and my total time in the office was less than 20 minutes! Why can't all travel related experiences be as pleasant as this?! If I knew it'd be so painless, I'd have done this sooner. I wanted to obtain a TSA-Pre status, so I chose the office on North 1st Street. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning. I arrived here a few minutes early, signed in, and was seen fairly quickly. I went to the office for processing, where I reviewed the information I had entered on-line. Then, I had to get my fingerprints taken. It took a few times before an accurate thumbprint and then the four fingerprints on each hand could be taken. After that, my photo was taken. Finally, the gal told me at least 5 times that I now owed $85.00. I honestly think I got it the first time, knew it going in, and didn't need it repeated. She told me it would be about 4 weeks before I got the input from the FBI. Later that day, I received an email stating that FBI fingerprint processing was taking longer and that it could be 5-6 weeks before I was in the system. I'm not a firm believer in the saying you can judge a book by its cover but in this instance it proved true. The interior of this place is not professional and the same goes for their heinous customer service. I went in on a Saturday without an appointment and I was prepared to wait. I did not expect to be seen right away since I was walking in without an appointment. The woman at the front desk looked miserable and wasn't even able greet me. I advised I was there to enroll in TSA pre check and didn't have an appointment, she in turn advised me they weren't taking any more customers. There were four customers sitting on the couches. This is where the excitement really begins as nowhere on the identogo website does it say that you'll be turned away if you don't have an appointment. Keep in mind I arrived well before they closed. When I advised the desk worker that I didn't mind waiting she told me to hold on and she got up and walked to the back. Apparently she felt I was remedial and didn't understand the words that came out of her mouth because she retrieved her twat of a co-worker named Michelle from a back room who came out and wanted to flex her "authority" by speaking to me in an inappropriate tone and also take out her life's frustrations on poor ol me. I believe Michelle must also work as a TSA agent in her spare time who also enjoys making passengers travel experiences dismal. I understand you're angry because you're working on the weekend and maybe your life just sucks in general but don't take it out on the customers you're getting paid to serve. If you hate working with the public, find another job, preferably something that brings you relative joy. Working at a facility such as this is similar to working at a Hair Masters or a nail salon where people are coming in and out throughout the course of the day, some with appointments, some without. If you're not able to take names down on a list and prioritize your priorities then you basically suck and should work somewhere that doesn't ask so much of you. I'm a firm believer that how you treat others is a true reflection of how you feel about yourself. I don't normally write reviews for bad customer service (as someone who works in customer service) but this place is awful. I had to get some fingerprints done for a licensing requirement. I showed up here last week, they took down my name, made me wait in my car for 40 minutes before calling me in and saying they were ready for me. At that time they then asked me if I used a different name and that I wasn't on their list for the day. (Why did they make me wait if they didn't have my name down?). When they realized my appointment was the next week the receptionist just said "Seeya in a week" even though I drove an hour and a half to this site. she was very rude and her and another lady were sitting at the desk literally not doing anything. They then informed me that they couldn't take me as a walk in and didn't have the ability to do anything scheduling related (even though there was a computer at their desk. What do they use it for?). Anyways, I was still going to come back tomorrow for my scheduled time but then I got emailed by the company that my appointment had been canceled all together and that the next appointment was over a week out. I tried calling customer service and couldn't even get a real person after 15 minutes of trying to navigate an automated answering service.
