Katie was incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely caring throughout my treatment. After just 12 sessions, my pain was significantly reduced and I felt much more confident in my movement. The home exercises and practical tips she shared were extremely effective and played a big role in my recovery. I'm truly grateful for the support and expertise I received and I highly recommend Katie to anyone seeking physical therapy. Deeply grateful for all your care and guidance, Katie and thanks to the entire team! Elizabeth S

Extremely disappointed with ATI Physical Therapy and their billing practices…read more Before I even scheduled my first appointment, I specifically asked them to verify my insurance and tell me exactly what my cost would be per visit. I was told it would be approximately $60. I intentionally waited several days for them to verify my insurance information before moving forward because I wanted to know the cost upfront. At my first visit, I was charged $65. It was $5 more than quoted, but I didn't make an issue of it. Now, approximately 25 days later, ATI is trying to charge me an ADDITIONAL $95 for that same visit. That brings the total cost of ONE physical therapy visit to $160. When I called customer service, I was told the original $65 was supposedly only a "deposit." That was NEVER explained to me. Had I been told that $65 was simply a deposit and that I could later be billed another $95, I would have never agreed to the appointment. What makes this especially frustrating is that I specifically asked for the cost BEFORE scheduling and gave them time to verify everything with my insurance. Their customer service experience only made the situation worse. Patients deserve transparency about what they are agreeing to pay. Quoting someone around $60, collecting $65 at the appointment, and then nearly a month later billing another $95 is completely unacceptable to me. I would absolutely NOT recommend ATI Physical Therapy based on my experience. If you decide to use them, I strongly recommend getting your expected TOTAL cost in writing before receiving any services.

I only wish I had done this first as it would have saved me months of headache trying to do things the way the front desk personnel instructed me (to contact the billing dept). As I told Aubrey (who was delightful), I will give it another go should I need physical therapy in the future, but I will monitor the claims closely instead of trusting the staff as I did the first time. Original review--- The care I was given by my Physical Therapist and staff was great. The fact that they over billed me for $172 and change and I am 3 months later still begging them to send me a check is ridiculous. I brought the error to their attention the end of Nov. and I have made at least 6 calls to the billing dept and each time I am given confirmation that they owe me the money but there is some excuse for why they can't/haven't issued a check for it. The customer (no) service rep I last spoke to yelled at me for complaining about the problem and told me I was yelling and then disconnected my call. The medical staff was great the accounting and business side is a disaster so beware of being over charged and not getting your money back!

I played basketball and softball throughout high school and left with my fair share of improper technique and the resulting aches/pains that come along with. No doctors or accompanying tests could provide a definitive answer as to what was wrong with me (6 doctors). The only suggestions I received were rest and/or surgery, which seemed ridiculous for my age and well.. the fact that they didn't actually know what was wrong with me. While training to run my first half marathon, I was tired of the pain that seemed to make no sense as a young, healthy, fit, and active person. I went to another doctor who, finally, suggested something I could do about my pain, physical therapy. On my first day of therapy, I had to swallow my pride, drop the weight and get back to basics. It is as much a mental therapy as it is physical for those of us who just want to lift heavy, compete and walk away completely exhausted. Now that's not everyone's cup of tea, but the point is, we ALL fail on basic mechanics and that's why you need Andrea and her team. Come here to get the tools you need to incorporate into your life. She is not a miracle worker, she will not heal you. If you aren't willing to change your life and understand YOU have to change your most basic movements, you won't have a good time. Thank you, Andrea + team for educating me, so I can now sit down, walk up stairs, jump, lift heavy and run pain-free. I'll never leave!

I spent months unsure of what to do about a shoulder injury before a friend recommended Spooner and…read moreI finally scheduled an appointment. After a lot of negative experiences with medical offices, Spooner was a huge breath of fresh air! Literally every person on the team from the front desk to the therapists themselves are friendly and helpful. I worked with PT Julia and tech Chris, and they were both phenomenal - true experts in what they do. I also met with PT Alix a few times, and she's equally amazing. I went in afraid I was going to spend a lot of time and money only to be told I needed surgery. Instead I walked out three months later with a shoulder that is almost entirely healed, and an easy-to-follow program to do at home. I still can't get over what a pleasant experience this was from start to finish. They have truly set the bar for all other providers I see in the future. A few things that set Spooner apart from other medical offices I've been to: 1. They offer a free consultation. If you're not sure physical therapy can help you, go in for a consultation! You'll get an honest answer. 2. They did not pressure me to schedule excessive or unnecessary appointments. I went in thinking I'd need to go 2-3 times a week and was pleasantly surprised that they recommended once a week, and then eventually every two weeks. 3. The billing is transparent and honest. My insurance wouldn't give them a price ahead of time, so Spooner had me pay an estimate based on what other clients with my insurance paid. When my claims were processed and their estimate was slightly higher than my contracted rate, they immediately applied all of the credit from my overpayments. I didn't even have to ask for it - I just walked into my appointment, greeted by the pleasant news that I didn't need to pay that day because I had credit on my account! 4. There were never any surprise charges or codes added on to my appointment. When Julia suggested we try dry needling (highly recommend btw), she made it clear there was no additional fee, and that was accurate information. 5. I feel very set up for success doing exercises at home. They have a really helpful app with my personalized program in it that includes videos of how to do the exercises, and they also gave me printed versions as well. (If you want physical therapy to be successful, you MUST do the exercises at home!) I could go on and on about how great Julia and the Spooner team are. I really can't recommend this practice highly enough.

The scheduling person promised me they always had tons of openings if I got on their wait list, but the openings never came. (Then they told me it was because they kept those for established patients, but those also never opened up for me, so I think it's just extremely hard to schedule--and they can't or won't accomodate people who may need to get in sooner.) The physical therapist is pretty good and gives a lot of feedback. Some of the techs are good, others seem to be on a bit of a power trip or not paying attention and kind of just going through the motions. I think I had a different tech every time I went in. Working with the techs is often about the same as doing the exercises at home (with added bike/treadmill time); they don't really give good pointers or anything. Spooner is very slow about updating exercises in the app. You basically have to remind them. I'm glad the AC works again; it gets pretty hot in there. Also didn't realize there were more convenient locations when I booked, but that was my fault.
