On the counter, a tray of steaming chicken tamales made the whole place smell far better than an air freshener could ever hope to. I'm told they only have these sometimes, though, and they will vary them with pork or other ingredients. The grocery shelves are standard for this type of establishment, perhaps a bit lacking as it is smaller than most. In the back is an incredible little kitchen with fresh-made Honduran and Latin foods. Enticed, the two of us each ordered a baleada con todos - think of it as the Honduran version of a breakfast burrito. It was HUGE and so delicious. The two of them, two ice cold (real) cokes and a tamale to go because we were so full cost a mere $12. Now you may be saying that that's no big deal, these little places are almost always cheap with amazing food. You'd be right to an extent, but the thing that set this place apart from the others was the customer service. The women working here were SO FUCKING NICE! It's hard to understand, having lived in the south all my life, that southern hospitality can be so easily outdone.
