Wow, why did it take me so long to stop in here?! Thank you to all the other stores closed on Christmas that allowed me to stop here for some fresh meats to put in our brand new dehydrator we received today for Christmas! The meat is excellent quality and a price that cannot be beat. I can't wait to come back for oxtail to make soup with! Give this place a try. The produce is awesome and fresh too!

Wow. I had no idea that this gem was here and I had no idea that it was so big! Walking in, I was immediately taken with the huge selection of fresh produce. They have a wide variety of everything you would want- and a large variety of peppers for all of your cooking needs. They have a fantastic bakery case full of Latin American goodies. One thing that stood out to me was stuffed cheese bread. Talk about a must have! I also liked that they had a wide selection of neat looking cookies and snacks that I had never heard of, but looked delicious. They had this one thing that was a cookie sandwich filled with strawberry marshmallow. Although I was tempted, I didn't cave in, but I might have to go back and pick these up. As others have said, the meat section is incredible. If you are a fan of beef tongue, they have a whole pile of it. Go nuts. haha. One section of this market that I will definitely be trying in the future is the cafeteria. Here you can get Latin American hot dishes of all types and there is a nice area where you can sit and eat. Everything seemed well priced and the tables looked nice and clean. While this market isn't as lush with goodies as Ideal, I would definitely say that it's worth checking out, if you're in the area.

A huge pork skin!!!

This is a neighborhood Walmart and it's Small. It packs a big punch though and it beats driving…read morehalfway across the city to go to a bigger location. I've used it for grocery pick up a few times. Convenient. So why 5 stars? 2 things about this location. In the Aftermath of Hurricane IDA, they were open FAST, within 5 days and had gas. This next observation might only be for this location but it stopped me in my tracks. The first time I went, we had to park in the lot next door and walk in. No problem (the lot was reserved for employee use only). As we were leaving our cart halted short of our destination, so we asked the security guard if we could grab an unlocked cart (our issue was remedied). It's what I saw that was the real eye opener, I witnessed a Walmart employee come bring the young man a plate of food. Whoa. That was cool. Then the second time I went, there were soooooo many employees rushing to stock the shelves and it happened again. Over the intercom this time. "Attention all visiting associates, there are refreshments in the break room " Walmart did you actually bring in people to help get us groceries on the shelves? Did your staff have the courtesy to take care of their staff and those supporting them? Wow! Double wow! It makes me feel a little better to know that this location has it going on, no matter who's idea it was.....it was a great one.

Very disappointed with the pickup and delivery service at this Walmart location…read more Yesterday, a delivery driver called for gate instructions. I clearly explained the standard visitor/security procedure used regularly by other Walmart drivers, but the driver hung up and never delivered the order. Customer service apologized and rescheduled the order for pickup the next morning. Unfortunately, the pickup experience was worse. I arrived during my scheduled pickup window and waited over 30 minutes in pouring rain while the store would not answer the phone and only directed calls to voicemail. Meanwhile, other customers appeared to be receiving their orders. After no communication or assistance, I canceled the order entirely. Delays happen, but lack of communication and customer service like this is unacceptable. I will not be using this location's pickup or delivery service again.

I was in town visiting, so I didn't have a place to be while I waited. The store was very clean and put together. I found it to be clean on the outside as well. Shoutout to whoever has the janitorial account, because yall are doing a great job! I found a simple snack in the produce section, but took a stroll to check out the Walmart as a whole (since I had the time to burn). There was plenty to do and a Philly Cheesesteak restaurant in the Walmart, as well as a nail salon and other things. The self checkout was pretty advanced and clean as well! I really have no complaints. I had a simple need and this Walmart did what I needed it to do.

The experience of shopping in person is miserable, due to long lines, slow service, and a minimal number of self checkouts. Avoiding this with pickup orders isn't much better. I have waited multiple times for 40+ minutes with no service, and no answers to repeated calls to the store, to the point that I leave and cancel my order. I was recently denied when trying to return an item I ordered online so I had to mail it in instead. The Tchoup Walmart is an unfair embarrassment to the community it should ostensibly serve.

During the first week of January, my lifelong friend visited Plush Appeal to purchase Mardi Gras decor for her out of state home. We are natives of New Orleans and were raised with the proper etiquette and respect for ourselves, others and community. We are proud graduates of an affluent Catholic high school and our class of women has made quite a positive impact in this world collectively. With that said, as my friend was shopping she interacted with one of the sales associates and had a lovely conversation. This particular sales associate then left the area. Within minutes two other sales associates approached my friend, accused her of stealing, and when my friend attempted to clear her name and prove her innocence, these women refused. They stated she was on camera and despite my friend asking multiple times for proof and to view the cameras, she was again refused her request. Apparently, two large men were then instructed to escort her out to which she stated she felt extremely uncomfortable. Several of her friends have reached out to the store. Ms. Vee was so nice! CeeCee though ... the manager... when I called to ask for clarification she became nasty and hung up. Long story short, nothing was stolen. If that were the case why not call the police or show the video? Most importantly to note are the differences in skin tones. My friend is an upper class African American female who was seemingly targeted for the color of her skin. Take your business elsewhere!
