What that tells you is - besides our being pretty old - that CCX is really good at upgrading or repairing computers. And that's an understatement. Walter, the owner and head digital guru, not only is polite, friendly and honest, but can communicate often times complicated information in a simple and straightforward way. He isn't there to dazzle you with his knowledge (although that might happen along the way). He knows your main concerns are 1) What's wrong? and 2) How much will it cost? Not one time has he been unable to solve the problem, or given us a price that wasn't reasonable. That his shop is conveniently located near I-10 is another bonus. So before you take your computer to a big-box store or someplace you see on the street, either of which is likely to turn into a stress-fest, let CCX have a look. Chances are that the quality of work will be higher, and cost less.

That said, here I am, writing a review. I can't say this is going to be my new "thing," but I get it. These few minutes are well-worth the presumptive waste if it will help someone else in my position. Now, on with the show! Have you recently tripped over absolutely nothing and watched your phone turn into a frisbee? Of course you did, you're Yelping phone repair services right now. I very gracefully shattered the screen on my iPhone last night in such a manner. I thought at first I could get away with the shame of a cracked screen, but it was frankly pretty rough on my little fingers. So, this morning I reluctantly headed over to Yelp to find a place near me where I could take my phone and begrudgingly shell out a cool hundred or more for a new screen. I requested quotes from 9 repair shops within a few minutes, and Robert with TeknoloG Central BY FAR took the cake. Robert was exceedingly polite, got back to me very quickly, and had the best price. The next closest quote was $25 higher than his cost. Moreover, Robert came to MY house on MY schedule and got the job done in about an hour despite the torrential rainpour that started the minute he left to take care of the job. TeknoloG Central is the best. I hope I don't need to use them again, but I know I will if the unfortunate occasion arises! Five stars! Thanks so much, Robert!

This fool is a backyard mechanic and I'd be shocked if his company was insured or even licensed to do work in the state. Ask for a real receipt or even a place of business. He offers cheap prices so he is able to get his customers to pay cash. He lied about his last name when he returned my device after leaving it in my mailbox after driving off with my cash. All I'm saying is go to the Secretary of State website and nowhere on any web page will anyone find this owner Robert Nieto. Yes Robert Nieto...I only lost $75 and it would be more costly to go after you for it but just know for some people reviews mean a lot and I pray that the state of Texas sends you an audit of all your customers so Houston can see who is behind this company. Just because you can work on technology doesn't mean you can run a company legally and legit. You sir are the definition of ghosting when a customer has a real complaint you can't figure out. Hell...you thought I was stupid and wouldn't notice. I had to go to a legit store and get my phone fixed correctly so my camera works now since you broke it. I'm sure you will find a way around my review by paying a website to clear it which is why EVERY SINGLE REVIEW is all pretty and nice and your the best....BS....you're a hack and a con man! I'm sure that's why you left me no receipt because if I did take you to court you would just deny even knowing me. Unfortunately I put myself in a bad position but luckily it wasn't hundreds of dollars and now Houston will know more about the truth behind this "company!" I also checked the state website to see what your company earned last year and surprisingly there's no information. I wonder why....hopefully tax evasion is in your near future!!

Their service rate, for example, is $175 plus an hour compared to other comparable services that can be half of that. If you have a Cisco system, watch out! Cisco certified techs working on Cisco products, including routers and the likes, not just phone systems are even more expensive. The worst part about working with this company as a customer for more than four to five years is the service turnaround for problems can be 3-4 days and even longer. This includes simple questions or clarifications. I would avoid this company like the plague if you are a small business under 30 people. VoIP systems now are good enough there is no reason to burden your company with this expense or worse, experience in the long term. If you are a large company, they might be a good fit, but certainly, a better bargain can be had elsewhere.

I would recommend this establishment to anyone who needs fast, friendly and fair computer repair. My PC is seven years old and instead of telling me what a piece of crap my PC is (like the other guys did), they accepted my geriatric PC with open arms. I took my PC there about a month ago, because it wouldn't power on. I know less than zero about computer repair, so they could have really taken me for a ride if they wanted to. However, I was pleasantly surprised when they called me a few short days later to inform me that they can fix it for nearly half of what Geek Squad and Office Depot were trying to fleece me for...... labor and parts combined! Today I have taken my PC back there to have my antivirus software updated.... and again I was welcomed with fast, friendly service. If you're like me, and you need a place to take your PC that's going to give you good service at a decent price, I would recommend these guys for sure. If you want to be treated like a cheapskate, because you won't fork over $1,200 for a new PC, you can take it to the other guys. Don't believe the hype. Save yourself the gas and time. Squad and Depot are in the business of selling new computers, not trying to help you save money by fixing the one that you already have. That's why they ask for so much money up front. Take your PC to these folks who are actually in the computer repair business. They'll take care of you for a very reasonable down payment.... and they are actually friendly.

I'd compared the repair estimate for fixing my laptop charger port with them vs 2 other competitors; one local and one corporation, but Comp Clinic's quote fared better and their service was the friendliest. However, what they gained in customer service they lacked in timeliness. The repair was estimated to take a week with the need to order one part. It must've gotten lost in the shuffle because it took a couple weeks and when we went to check on it, the part was not ordered and we still had to wait. Once the part was ordered the repair seemed to only take a couple days. Unfortunately, what should've taken a week took a month. The charger port was repaired. When a related issue seemed to arise, we brought it right back and it was immediately taken care of. I'd go back again but I'd do so knowing that this isn't a highly regulated operation. If turn-around time is most important, turn-around and go to a competitor. But if the greatest concern is kind customer service and low rates, you'll get what you wanted to pay for, here.
