My needs were very specific, as I wanted full HD cameras powered by ethernet (IP Cameras) with an NVR box. From the systems I saw online and through Costco, the specifications never truly met my needs. After stumbling across a little store in the Dun Huang Plaza, I saw a sign stating they do security systems (CCTV). I went inside and met with Grant Lin. I asked him if they do home security and had what I was in the market for. He claimed they did in deed have what I was looking for and set me up with an appointment to set it all up. Grant showed up with his colleague, Alex, and they installed my security cameras, the NVR box, and even did all of the computer networking that would've been a pain in the butt for a techie, let alone an average joe like me. He even installed an app on my phone so I could monitor the cameras through there. They have really good customer service, and he told me if I had any issues, I could contact him right away. However, once you've been greeted and asked what you're looking for, a plethora of electronics options are at your fingertips. They literally have everything you could possibly imagine, from spare computer parts, to printers, new desktops and laptops, and some random funky piece that completes your ultimate gaming system! Computers throughout the store can be demo'ed and used to access their online portal for simplicity of ordering your electronics needs. A…read morefriend of my daughter found Sam's Repair on Facebook Marketplace as someone who was selling refurbished MacBook laptops (It wasn't even listed on Yelp. I had to add the business to check-in and write the review). We originally went in to Sam's to purchase a used MacBook. When we went in and explained what we had and what we were doing, he encouraged us to not buy the one he had for sale but suggested we let him look at ours first to see if it was repairable. We had already upgraded the memory to a 1TB solid-state drive and it was much better than what he was selling. We left (Saturday) and returned on Monday with our laptop. He said since we were coming from so far away (League City) that we could wait while he looked at it. We hung out for an hour and he actually was able to fix the motherboard. He explained what he did but honestly it was over my head. I'm just glad it is working. The laptop he was selling was $550. He fixed ours for less than half that cost and warranted the work for 3 months. Granted, I'm writing this review a few short hours after the repair. Assuming the repair holds, he deserves the five stars. If for some reason that changes, I'll update my review. As for now, we are very pleased.

My computer was…read morehaving issues because I tried to upgrade grade it but I didn't have as much knowledge as I needed to get the job done correctly.  I needed a better PSU power supply.  I couldn't get my computer to work with the ones I bought. Grace had the tech take the computer down and find my issues.  One of wich was the case so everything from my first computer had to be moved to new case.  I had my motherboard changed out too so everything from the main board had to be swapped too. He did a great job with the wiring and everything is ziptied and clean looking, very professional. Before it looked like a birds nest back there. My new computer looks great I've been using it for months now it's been running well and gaming has been fun.  I still want more upgrades next will be a new processor and liquid cooler. I'll go with getting input from grace this time before just going out and buying computer parts. Thank you lots for the help. She's located in Chinatown, some great places to eat nearby. After shutting it down, it would no longer turn on. I had voided my warranty by opening it and wanted to take it somewhere that would not be crazy expensive but still good service. Anyway, their old location, "Laptops of Houston," had great reviews so I brought it here on a Friday. I asked them if it was the same staff and they said yes. It was $25 for them to take a look/diagnostic at my laptop. They were honest and said there was a good chance the damage may have gone to the motherboard. They told me they would give me a call on Monday. They did call me on Monday and said it was ready for pick up. They got my laptop up and running with a working mouse pad as well. I was so happy because I have had this laptop less than a year and I really needed it for school. It was $125 and their service was excellent.
