UPDATE: I received a follow up call from Erin, the manager, who was able to get the scheduling issues resolved and the expiration date for my free service extended. Erin was very thorough and helpful and explained that there has been issues with getting replacement parts for their machine due to COVID, which of course is understandable. She took her time in addressing each concern I had and advised that she would follow up with staff as appropriate. She made me feel validated and that my concerns were taken seriously. She answered additional treatment related questions I had and did not make me feel like she was rushing to get off the phone ensuring all of my questions were answered and that I had her contact information should any additional questions or concerns arise. She's new in this role but does give me hope that she'll be exactly what this location needs to turn the establishment around. Thanks Erin! I had a pretty unsatisfactory experience here. I went in for a touch up appointment and was not happy with the results- there was no change from before. I called and asked if they could do anything for me (really didn't want to pay full price for another session that did nothing). They had me come in for an evaluation appointment which was completely useless and a total waste of time when they easily could have told me over the phone that there's nothing they can do and I'll just have to come in for another session. I have been having a lot of pain with my laser hair removal treatments (lower legs) I just had my third session and the pain was completely unbearable. My first treatment was a little painful but at least bearable. Every treatment thereafter was excruciating. When I asked the tech about this, she said it will affect my overall treatment if I didn't let her continue. She also mentioned each treatment they turn up the lazèr causing even more pain. I had lazer hair removal at other medspa's with absolutely no pain with great results. After my third treatment I broke out with a severe itchy rash. Has anyone experienced this? I asked the tech if there was any numbing cream that could be used and she said yes there was but I couldn't use anything for the third treatment as it's a prescription that would need to be called in and I would have to pay for it. i paid over $3000 for the brazilian laser hair treatment. i was told that due to my hair type (dark/thick) that i was the ideal candidate and would see a great success rate. i completed all cycles. while the hair growth has reduced, i am still back to shaving on a weekly basis. i was under the impression that laser hair removal meant stopping the growth of hair in that area. pretty huge sum of money to not have the results i thought i was paying for. read more

I purchased $3,005 in services during an aggressive sales pitch based on what the sales gal said I needed during a fast Zoom call. After consulting with the 'nurse' during the initial appointment, we decided that one service was not necessary, and I declined 2 other filler services when I learned they were painful. I received cheek filler, which was done without a cannula and was painful during and after the procedure. I asked the nurse to be careful of forehead botox placement as I like movement in my eyebrows. After 2 weeks, my vision is seriously inhibited due to the heaviness of my brows. Unhappy with the services and the outcome, I requested that the banked services be reimbursed. I did not ask for a refund on the shoddy work as I understood the risks. I would not be returning. It was only then i learned that they would not reimburse for services not used. I can go back and have them provide other services up to the amount banked ($2,000), but why would anyone in their right mind say, sure, you did a sh*t job last time, let's give it another try? They do not give you the opportunity to review the 19-page contract when purchasing or advise of the termination policy buried on page 15. The manager and corporate will refer back to the contract, which they claim you sign when agreeing to the summary of services you purchase. Buyer beware! You may get botox a dollar cheaper, but if you hate the outcome, you are stuck without the 'banked money'. Total rip-off. Financed many thousands of dollars, and promised me a bonus 'cool-toning', but the fine print said it expires in 90 days after contract signing (can't do cool-toning until after the cool-sculpting rotations which takes several months). Very difficult to get an appointment - waiting lists of several months. Online, you can only schedule botox and fillers - not cool-sculpting, cool toning or follow-up evaluation....so you are forced to call customer service which is terrible - must wait +20 min and super unfriendly, unhelpful people. BTW, you will not read it anywhere - but cool-sculpting is very painful. I did chest, stomach and flanks. Ideal Image obviously knows it is painful because they offer Tylenol and ice packs to-go. I highly recommend avoiding this company and service. VERY terrible service, VERY expensive, VERY painful. read more

I tried to go in for a touch-up hair removal procedure and they wanted my credit card and to charge me for an annual membership. I requested details of this "annual membership" and got no response. They also changed the charge from $60 to $65 for the touch-up, and it was supposed to be $60 for life, should I need it. This place is a racket, that will nickle-and-dime you. I have been rescheduled several times. When I signed up for their lifetime services, I was supposed to get a free service for buying into it. But I was rescheduled a few times, and then no openings, by the time I was able to get the appointment and then was told it expired, was told they would ask and look into? Nope, they didn't. I spoke with a male, and I said another reschedule? didn't apologize, I said after my treatment is done, it looks like I'll be looking for somewhere else, and he said, "sounds good." I did an online consultation and was told that I was a perfect candidate for one of their body sculpting procedures. After getting approved for a loan, I arrived for my first appointment to be told that I probably won't see any effects from the procedure, but they were going to do it anyway. After not seeing any benefits, I decided not to go through with the rest of the procedures. When I called to ask for a refund, I was told that my package had expired, which I was never told could happen, and that they could not refund my money. to begin with, I was called 3+ times from the call center. the gal on the other line, gave me her 100% guarantee along with the companies 'price match' guarantee that they would match my previous doctors price. I specifically said 20 units only. She then told me if I scheduled an appointment within the next 24 hours that I would receive an additional $25 off. I rearranged my entire schedule, left work early, drove 52 minutes out of my way to their clinic; upon arrival I was brought to the back room where I was then informed the price match guarantee does NOT exist, and the price per unit I was quoted for is only redeemable with a minimum purchase of 100 units. I was blatantly lied to, disrespected, then pushed out of the office with a fake apology. This is not how to run a business, you don't trick people into coming in, just to fill your appointment books. Unreal. The staff is friendly. Not overly though. The front office is very dingy looking. Cold and uninviting. Walls are chipped. Carpet looks like it's never been vacuumed. Coat rack is dusty. This space is very large for some reason, so, could use more chairs, and all the lobby furniture should be replaced with pretty and comfy stuff. Now the procedure rooms are a complete and utter mess! Not healthy. Not sanitary! Very bad for a business that is dabbling within the health field! I was so grossed out and disgusted! I didn't want to touch anything! The rooms are not properly stocked with what they need for procedures. Very unorganized. Dirty. Messy. The floors were filthy and dirty. I was expected to walk around with my socks on. It was so gross. I felt dirty like I needed a bath. There was no place to put my clothes, jacket, shoes or purse. I had to lay my clothes on the only chair and then sit on my clothes. I had to set my purse on this filthy floor. There should be locker to hang my jacket and clothes and put my purse. Trash was laying on the outside of the trash can. The counters were messy and sticky and everything just tossed onto it. The scale I had to step on was wet from either someone else or leftover spray. Yuck! The one chair was even gross to look at and scared me to sit in. It was uncomfortable too. The overall room looked old and outdated! During my whole time in this room-being roomed, set up and procedure, my nurse walked in and out a total of 6-7 times! And a complete stranger whom I have no idea if she was an employee or client or receptionist knocked once and entered to only hang in the open door to grab something in a drawer. Really?! I'm naked! I'm sitting in a chair doing my procedure! How sanitary is this?! How rude is this?! How professional is this?! Wow!!! I couldn't believe it!!! During my procedure a pillow was used for a prop up. In the process of switching sides, the pillow was tossed onto the filthy floor, kicked aside and then picked up to reuse. Oh. My. Gawd. I can't believe I even allowed this. I should've screamed out unprofessionalism and dirty! Get me a new pillow! Same thing-my blanket was tossed onto the filthy floor during switching sides too, and picked up and refused to cover my lower half . I was literally in pure disgust and felt of pure dirt! The nurse was so sloppy with the sticky stuff that it was all over my blanket. Now, how can I get comfortable sitting during my procedure, naked, under a blanket that's been on the dirty floor and full of stickiness?! Yes, I should have opened my mouth and demanded new pillows and blankets. After all, I am paying big bucks here. I deserve professionalism and sanitary space and items. I would be very leery of coming back here for anything. The safe, sterile, sanitary and cleanliness of the equipment and rooms are a must!!!!!! read more

I would not recommend this place. I hade a zoom meeting with a lady and she was nice and I explained to her what my concerns where such as droopy eyelids and problems with jowl area. I had such high hopes only to be disappointed. I was 49 at the time and why not just say due to age the Ultherapy for jowls may or may not work. Don't say "oh indeed this will tighten your skin and get rid of those jowls". It's been over a year and no change what so ever. No improvement with the Botox for my eyelids either. My one eyelid felt so heavy for the longest time. The only concern they have is that you sign the papers and are now stuck with over $2,000 dollars in payments. I was warned to stay away from Ideal Image. I still have some credit for unused Botox at the Maple Grove facility but I will never return again. Should have went somewhere else and just tried filler. I've been a customer of Ideal Image in Maple Grove for over 6 years and initially, they were great. The RNs and service were fantastic, the manager responded quickly to questions, and the front desk was warm and helpful. However, the service has dropped significantly over the past couple of years and has plummeted recently in my opinion. After being a longer-term customer and "banking product/units" over the years (e.g., buying product in advance, not specific vials), I recently learned that all of the remaining products/units that I had banked had expired. I wasn't aware that banked units expired until I recently learned it is in one of the contracts. As you sign a number of 'contracts' whenever you purchase something, I obviously missed that verbiage. However, if this is indeed the case, my expectation is that a client should get an email, text, call, or something prior to the expiration of the units to remind them that they have product that will soon not be available. I personally receive update notices from every other company I do business with and I am shocked Ideal Image doesn't have the technology or the client service focus to make this a priority. In trying to learn more and possibly get some 'expired' units restored, I called the clinic on a Friday and ended up with the Customer Service at the corporate location. The rep was very helpful, opened a case number for me, and said she would be contacting the clinic and I would get a response from them. She requested that if I didn't get a response by the following Tuesday, I was to call again. Tuesday came and went with no call or email from the clinic so I called again on Wednesday. The new Customer Service rep resubmitted my case to the clinic and said that the Area Manager would be in contact. I was to call back by Friday if I hadn't hear anything by then. As nothing received by Friday (today), I called again and was told that the Area Manager would call me back by the end of the day today to address the situation. As it is now well past Ideal Image's closing time, I am not expecting any communication (e.g., call, text, email) from the Area Manager now. Very disappointing and very unprofessional. I understand the labor market and we are all "doing the best we can," but an email or call doesn't take that long to do. Even if it is to say that someone will look into it and connect with me by xx date. Bottom line, I was initially very pleased with their service, support, and offerings, but cannot recommend them now. In the end, I likely lost a lot in unused "banked" units, but frankly, I cannot find any history or summary of my prior purchases and visits via their website nor has Ideal Image been able to provide one. I have asked. If you go, be aware of all of the terms, especially if written in size 8 font, and don't "bank" any product, even if it is a good deal at the time. They seem to have moved to a new type of 'membership' so perhaps this won't be an issue for current clients. Just be aware. read more

Absolutely terrible. They've canceled almost every single appointment that I've had scheduled because they can't keep their nurses, apparently. I purchased three facial treatments in August. It's now March, and they just "rescheduled" me. Again. I had a hair removal and facial treatment set up for Saturday. Now I can only do one on Saturday and have to go back in on Sunday for the other. Great- I've got nothing else to do on a weekend. And it would be one thing if they were at least apologetic about it. But they're not. They really just don't give a crap at all. Every. Single. Time. At the beginning every thing went great, my session took about 45 min for hair removal, but couple month later the session ends in 15 min for the whole legs and half arm. They did the work fast with Skipping the beat and out of the sudden they told me that my treatment is done. I realized that my thick hair turned to baby hair not removing hair . I was outside on a bench just fine. Then, I was asked to come inside and met with person who collected money from me right away. Then she cleared me with doctor and took me to the room where the treatment woukd be administer. Another employee came in and told her that she still wasn't done. This happened twice. The first time, they had me wait in the office where the payment was taken. The second time, the lady who took cc pymt led me to hobby and asked me to see down while they finish. I was sitting in the lobby and then the receptionist yelled at me for sitting on the couch in the waiting area, so at this point, she wanted me wait standing up. I felt so humilated getting yelled at me from sitting on a couch. I wonder if I had been a white person, I would get such treatment. I was treated as if I was the maid or a 3 year old child. I ran out of that place. I don't pay a lot of money to be treated in such manner. I live in Eagan now, so it took me a long time to get there, so had to stop work early. I want you to allow me to transfer service to another location or reimburse me the money. read more

Pushy salespeople. Expensive. And no refunds even if you never got the services. I was curious about laser hair removal so I asked for a quote. They contacted me very fast and seemed really pushy on getting me to do a consultation that day. I agreed and during my consultation they seemed friendly but were misleading. They told me that the services were non-refundable because they couldn't give me back my hair. I understood that but when I called customer service two days later saying that I was in close contact with someone who just tested positive for covid-19 so I would like to cancel my treatments and get a refund they said the purchase was non refundable even though I never received any treatments. I paid almost $2,500, that was most of my saving. And now without working I desperately needed to save my money for gas, food, and other necessities. I'm appalled by how this business is handling the problems that arise with covid. I asked the person in customer service to share my situation with her manager to see if they could get me a refund. She said they would contact me later and so far I've heard nothing, it's been almost 3 weeks. UPDATE: I left a review on the better business bureau and someone from Ideal Image contacted me a week later and gave me the refund I asked for. So just be cautious when signing the contract to make sure that no matter what you can afford it. Especially because the cost is quite expensive. read more

Ideal image will steal your money and the services you are contracted to receive are not what they are sold to be. I have payed over $5000 to this company have had to wait over 12 weeks between treatments because they are overbooked. During your "free" consultation, their sales people will walked you through taking out a third party loan and sign you up for a contract that you CAN NOT GET OUT OF. Treatment has left me with burns on my skin 3 times out of the 6 treatments I have received. I have not been able to be seen by the same technician more than twice in a row and the treatments are inconsistent as far as areas covered. I have had technicians call me they day of my appointment to cancel sessions due to scheduling issues. They will also charge you $300 annually for your "lifetime guarantee". This company does not seem to care about their customers or if the treatment is effective and are only interested in making the most money that they can. If I could do it over I would never sign up to do business with Ideal Image. Unfortunately, I am stuck in a contract with this company. read more

Ideal Image laser hair removal is the best! I recommend getting the treatment as fast as possible, don't take breaks. If you prolong it it just hurts a little more. I have never had a bad reaction after, only nice smooth skin. I am a lifetime member and when having children different hormones can make hairs pop up out of nowhere. Being a lifetime member you can pay a small fee and get whatever areas you want treated. In my opinion it's wonderful highly recommend have not tried any other services but hopefully will in the future. read more

Because they were closing and my husband and I were considering to wait on such a expensive purchase, the sales person told us we'd never get that price again and put significant pressure on us. Forms were not explained and our sales person had us moving so fast telling us the receptionist couldn't go home until we were done. We purchased a $3,000 hair removal package for my husband. Went in for a consult for cool sculpting on my lower abdomen. Left a very large check and scheduled the procedure. After returning for the check up afterward, I hadn't noticed any reduction, the nurse was trying to convince me that there was some reduction. After talking to a couple of nurses and explaining my disappointment I was told there was no guarantee. They did offer another treatment at an additional cost, but wouldn't make any promises. So they offered to do a different area, I choose the back bra line. Again, there was no fat reduction. I'm saying this is a scam to get desperate people's money with no guarantees. I just went there today for the first time. And I have to say, I am sooo impressed! To start, I was immediately welcomed by the staff, and they made you feel very comfortable. Courtney in particular was super nice, she did my initial consultation and even was able to get me in right away with my first treatment. Plus, I was given a free lotion because their computer system was down which caused a slight delay. The woman who did my treatment was very professional and made me feel comfortable, and I was in and out in 20 minutes. The pain was not bad at all, as I had my bikini line and underarms done. I am going back for my next appointment in January. They offer great payment plans that are affordable, even for me who is a recent college grad. So overall I highly recommend this place! read more

HOWEVER, when trying to deal with people for a refund because of unsatisfactory results - not fantastic AT ALL! Half way thru my treatments for my legs I noticed not much of a change so I got a refund - easy, no hassle. For my bikini and underarms - total different story! I went thru with the full treatment - never got to the point of never shaving. EXTREME disappointment. I've been fighting for a refund ever since. I did get pregnant so there was about 6 months of me not able to go in for the "extended" treatments (which never yielded any results). They said 6 weeks after baby to come in and go from there. They now want me to do TWO MORE extended treatments when it does NOTHING (besides cause me pain while it's happening). They state they can't do anything further (ie refund) until I have done the 2 extended treatments. I'm so sick of these people. The results are shit. Own up to it and give me my money back. I shouldn't have to shave 4x a week still!!!!! If you have black hair - go for it. Anything else - run FAR away from laser hair removal! Not worth the THOUSANDS of dollars! read more
