I was warned of the post treatment burning sensation and of the possibility of inflammation. Those both happened to a degree which I don't feel I was warned about. On day 6, I developed what I thought was a rash/infection by my mouth. I contacted my doctor since it was a Sunday, and was advised to be seen in person. Turned out that I had gotten shingles (I have been vaccinated)! I was prescribed an Antiviral as well as some ointment. I had also sent an email to Belladerm. They did contact me on Monday and offered to call in a prescription for an Antiviral. I feel like some sort of partial refund for the issue would have been an appropriate gesture. I will say that my skin tone from the treatment is a little better, but not TWO THOUSAND dollars better (plus the cost of the doctors visit and prescriptions). It was not money well spent. I did learn my lesson.

I paid the price for unlimited sessions, since I didn't know how many sessions it would take to fully remove my tattoo specifically. Ever since I started coming for my sessions, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here. Every staff member is very friendly. As far as how painful it is, I have an extremely high pain tolerance. For me, getting the tattoo "hurt" more than having it removed. My tattoo is pretty small and it's on my forearm, so maybe it's because of the size and location. Each sessions starts with the tech asking if there are any changes to your medical history, and some additional questions about whether you've had sun exposure and a few other things. The tech puts an ice pack on the tattoo to numb it, and then they adjust the laser settings and go over the tattoo. It's pretty seamless from start to finish, and my tattoo is almost removed completely now after 9 sessions.
