Dr Wang is metered and reasonable in her approach and is skilled in assessment. However, the…read morerepeated failures of basic dental provision is what fuels this review. I had been a patient for over 10 years, and spent more than that in thousands at this practice with many experiences. The staff that is present at any point is inconsistent. Doctor has sent home a temp who was hired and who couldn't not get a decent x ray after 20 attempts at radiating my face. She noted she was a temp when I said "hey, what's with the repeated radiation, why is this going on and on??" I spend over 1000 dollars on a zirconia bridge to watch the hygienist drop it on the floor and have it fracture in my face 5 months later. I had it redone with lesser grade material for the same "replacement cost". I have bruxism - stress over time is a thing. Hiring staff, albeit temporarily, who have identifiable dependency struggles is a liability. In the same vein, a dentist was hired for a short term, fractured an adjoining tooth as she pried the temporary off the next. The last teeth cleaning i had was so excruciating (the flossing cut deeply into my gums) I decided to eat the other half of the yearly double cleaning charge and not go back at all. Office staff came back to have me sign compulsory paperwork for the ongoing - very expensive - restoration while I was in the chair, numb, mouth open and vulnerable. 500 to 700 hundred. I am a person with chronic illness and a lot of pain and trauma, which is why I seek skilled practitioners. I am also very transparent with my needs and coping strategies. I communicate my conditions and how that impacts dental care. I had the experience of having my medical history/care be discussed with office staff which were not included in my treatment team - which was very exposing and not based on role based policies and privacy safeguards. I am very familiar with the medical use of nitrous oxide as I have utilized it for extensive facial and dental restoration. l requested this service (as I had received before) and the gas was not flowing. I was told to (wait 5 min or so) which is not how gas works. Like helium, nitrous takes immediate effect and impacts vocal tone, which makes it very easy to identify if it has been inhaled. The machinery was clearly malfunctioning, or the tanks were empty. My personal safety limits required that I ask the staff to reschedule. Stafff refused the idea that the equipment could be malfunctioning. The team noted the next patient was to have nitrous and they would call me to reschedule if the equipment "worked for her". Dr Wang noted on the way out with me that she hoped there was nothing wrong with the equipment as there is a very expensive specialized maintenance and repair - leading me to wonder about the system maintenance overall. I waited a week or so to call back and was told the equipment worked fine for the other patient. As the years have passed, this practice has lost its attentiveness and patient centered approach. Provision is rushed, spotty and uninformed. I do not recommend this practice any longer, most certainly not for trauma related care or affecting chronic health conditions. I found the staff far too inconsistent and far too unprofessional to continue care here.

Every time I go here there is a new, very young dentist working. Swish just can't make it stick!…read more There are new faces here like it's a revolving door. A few months ago, I had see a dentist up in New York while on a work assignment. She told me I needed a filling on a tooth and not to wait. So when I got back to Austin, my wife booked appointments for both of us at the Swish office we have visited in the past couple of years. I shared with Swish I was told to see a dentist soon. Well trust me, that the worse thing I could have said. Now all of a sudden everyone jumps into action mode, taking all new x rays and cbct (which is a fancy X-ray). I looked it up. Their findings were alarming. I now needed 3 crowns and the fillings that go under the crowns plus 3 additional fillings. Why didn't the other dentist in NY say anything to me about all these problems? On my wife, she suddenly needs a deep cleaning and possibly some fillings redone because they are leaching.(their words). They tried to force us to schedule immediately and wanted to start my wife's deep cleaning that very day. We told them that we both had to return to work but then we were told they would not have another appointment available for several weeks to do a deep cleaning. We left there unsettled and I contacted a friend of mine who has a brother that is a dentist. I sent him a copy of the X-rays and he said he couldn't see anything other than the 1 tooth that needed just a filling. My wife went to another dentist and was told she only needed a basic filling. Who are these people? Why would they attempt to do such aggressive dentistry if it doesn't exist?

I recently had a gum infection that was painful and it left me feeling very anxious about having a cleaning just a week later. I am not one who routinely feels anxious about dental care, but I was really feeling terrified. After an appointment with Dr Guan, who is always very patient and informative, it was time for a deep ultrasonic cleaning after missing the last two years of routine cleanings. I was almost in tears, but right away, Wendy put me at ease and promised that my pain was her pain and she would make sure we both made it out pain free. She called Dr Guan back to inject some local numbing medicine, which isn't the most fun, but it did the trick and throughout the cleaning, scaling and lasering, Wendy watched my body language closely and kept checking in to make sure I was okay and not just touching it out. She was as comforting as a mama, without ever making me feel bothersome or "extra" about being nervous. She was also super meticulous about getting every bit of calcified plaque off my teeth. I really appreciate how thorough and gentle she was. So much so, that I gave her a big hug after and thanked her profusely. I have had braces, an implant, a crown and a below gumline root canal here and I have always been kept informed about costs, options, and preventative maintenance. I love my dental team and I am so beyond happy to recommend Wendy. She is awesome!

I started receiving bills from Cedar Park Modern Dentistry this week, which reminded me that I…read morenever wrote a review about my experience. I'm sharing this because I would want to know about an experience like this before choosing a dental provider. Earlier this year, I had a crown done by Dr. Multani, and it was by far the worst dental experience I've ever had. I've had several crowns done over the years, so I'm familiar with the procedure, but I had never experienced anything like this. The procedure itself was extremely uncomfortable and painful. I felt like my gums and surrounding teeth were repeatedly being knocked and poked during the procedure, and my face and mouth were swollen for several days afterward. That had never happened to me after a crown before. What made the experience even more frustrating was that Dr. Multani appeared to be extremely overbooked. She repeatedly had to stop working on me to move between other patients, and this happened numerous times throughout the appointment. It made an already stressful procedure even more difficult. My bite was off after the crown was placed, so I let her know and she made several adjustments, but it still didn't feel right. She suggested waiting until the next day to see how it felt and said I could come back if it still needed to be adjusted. I returned the following day, and unfortunately, the same situation happened again. She was working on multiple patients and I repeatedly had to wait for her to come back to me. After several more attempts to adjust my bite, it still wasn't right. At that point, I was concerned that continuing to grind the crown down would compromise it, so I decided to leave. Every time I tried to chew on that side, I experienced significant pain. Essentially, I couldn't use that side of my mouth to chew. The office offered to fix it, but after what I had already experienced, I did not feel comfortable having the same dentist continue working on the crown. The following week, we ended up paying another dentist (who I am very thankful for and who is now my current dentist); to fix the problem. That meant I essentially had to go through the crown procedure on the same tooth twice in less than a month and pay for the procedure twice. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of response afterward. We had paid Cedar Park Modern Dentistry in full before the original procedure. Once it became clear that the crown had not been completed properly and had to be redone, we began contacting the office about disputing the charge and even had our new dentist write a letter explaining the issue(s) identified when she examined my tooth. This was over 6 months ago, and despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue through calling and leaving repeated voicemails we never received a response. Now, I'm still receiving bills from them this week (note they never returned the $1000.00 we paid them for what amounted to nothing). Unfortunately, the entire experience--from the procedure itself, to the repeated bite adjustments, to having to pay another dentist to correct the work as an emergency, and finally the lack of communication afterward--has been extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not return to this office and would not recommend it to others.

I am always willing to listen when a business is wanting to know how they can incorporate a not so good situation into a learning opportunity. You have regained my trust and respect. Also want to shout out Dr. Magee because I truly had an amazing experience with my dental work that was painless and quick. My original review was based off financial miscommunication and not services. The fact you guys went over and beyond to make sure I was okay speaks volumes!! Today was our second visit here and I really wanted to like this office but I left very disappointed today and now will have to search for another new dentist. It is already hard enough to find good medical/dental providers that are honest and practice their craft safely. I agree the checkin process is quick and easy, you can fill out new patient forms online. My X-rays and services needed were explained during my first visit. I signed two treatment plans for me and my daughter and scheduled follow up appointments to start getting our dental work completed. However today when I arrived at the office and paid about $350 it was not for what I was originally quoted. $204 was supposed to be for a cleaning and two upper fillings on my left and right. I was told I was only scheduled for one so I was very much confused about what I had just paid for. I had to show the treatment plan I signed and was told that is not what is in my chart. Okay thank you for reviewing the information. After having mine and my daughter's work done I am then told our prices have changed because they were using an outdated fee schedule....which I was asked to sign the new ones. These were not small price adjustments like $20/$30 the quotes were off by $70-$150. That doesn't make any sense that you cannot even provide me the correct quote so how do I even trust that this "new" fee schedule is correct. I have never had this happen. If anything I'm usually paying over and ending up with a credit. It would have been better to show me the different fee schedules and how my treatment plans were calculated wrong versus showing me to different plans with very different amounts. If you go here I would definitely have them double check your quotes and billing.

STOP. READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT…read more TL;DR: Incompetent billing department turned a common $250 out-of-pocket procedure into a $1,000+ financial headache. They will lie to get you off the phone, then ghost you completely. Zero accountability or care for supporting patients financially through proper claim filing, even when you handle-hold them to what needs to be submitted to insurance. I'm writing this review to warn others about the incompetence I've experienced with this dental office's insurance handling. What should have been a straightforward scaling and root planing procedure in January 2025 has turned into a year-long ordeal that's now costing me an additional $800 out of pocket; money I shouldn't owe if they had done their job correctly or followed up when I did their work for them. The Timeline of Incompetence: January 2025: I had scaling and root planing done. Paid $248 out of pocket at the time of service. The office led me to believe this would be pre-authorized with my insurance. It wasn't. July 2025: My claim was denied by BCBS Dental due to insufficient documentation/justification from the dental office. Then the resubmission was also denied. According to BCBS, the office apparently just copy-pasted some generic justification on the resubmission without providing the actual clinical details required. I was not notified of either denial by the dental office. Here's what makes this inexcusable: This is a common procedure. The office literally wrote a blog post about it (https://www.leanderdental.com/blog/deep-cleaning/) and emailed their entire patient list promoting it in the middle of last year. I've even had this exact procedure done successfully with a previous dentist who had zero issues getting insurance to cover it. Yet somehow, this office couldn't figure out how to document it properly? The worst part? They never told me about any of this or my increased financial responsibility. August 2025: I only discovered the problem when I started receiving monthly statements for $791.86. When I called, Christina in the front office claimed they were "waiting on a decision for the resubmitted claim." So I called BCBS myself and learned the claim had already been denied a month earlier. I had to do their job for them. BCBS gave me detailed guidance on exactly what documentation was needed: pocket depths, bone loss measurements, crestal bone level greater than 2 mm apical to the CEJ, radiographic evidence, etc. I called the office back within an hour with these specific instructions. Christina assured me they would coordinate with my hygienist and resubmit with the proper clinical details. I was advised to ignore the statements for the time, as the claim would be re-submitted with greater supporting narrative / details. That never happened. The Final Insult: January 2026: Over ONE YEAR after my procedure, Zarika from the office finally called about my outstanding $700+ balance. She informed me they had resubmitted "as a courtesy" the one time and would not be submitting again. This directly contradicted Christina's promise. I explained the entire situation and referenced my previous conversation. Zarika said Christina would call me back within an hour. I never heard from them. I followed up with an email to the office, but never heard back by email either. The office will make promises to defuse an uncomfortable phone call, but won't do the work to actually follow up on the patient's requests/needs. They don't seem to care that a $250 out-of-pocket procedure becomes over $1000 out-of-pocket, despite the patient explaining to the billing department EXACTLY how to avoid that, per insurance. What This Means: Either this dentist performed dental work that wasn't medically necessary (unlikely), or - more probably - the front office/billing department is either too lazy or too inexperienced to file insurance claims correctly. This office failed at every single step: * No pre-authorization despite implying there would be for an expensive procedure * No proactive communication when the claim was denied (twice) * No proper follow-up / claim resubmission even when I communicated to them the exact documentation requirements * Conflicting information between staff members * Broken promises about callbacks * Zero accountability I'm now stuck with an $800 bill because they couldn't be bothered to document a routine procedure properly, communicate honestly about my claim status, or follow through on their promises. Thankfully, I proactively cancelled my other appointments with the office for ongoing dental procedures, pending a successful resolution to this issue, which didn't happen. So I saved myself additional headaches and high out-of-pocket costs. Find a dental office that actually knows how to handle insurance claims professionally and treats their patients with basic respect. If you've made it this far: Please give a Thanks reaction if you've had a similar experience.
