I had gotten work done last August at another Renken. I made an apt here since I now moved to Leander and was still in pain. I had gone to another dental office (not Renken) in April or May and was advised that I would need the crown replaced if the pain didn't subside and since it was done within the year timeframe to go back to the office I had gotten it done. I thought all Renkens were contracted together and was not told EACH IS SEPARATE until after the appointment. That isn't even the main reason I am upset. I am upset because the billing manager tried to insinuate it was odd I waited so long. First of all I wasn't asking for a refund so not sure what I would have to gain. I only wanted the work redone. Maybe some people like having dental work done again for fun but that isn't my idea of a good time. She needs to learn proper etiquette such as how to properly speak with customers and understand dental billing with insurance. Work is normally guaranteed for at least a year. The other staff was nice but I would caution going here since she unfortunately needs further training and coaching. I will be contacting the general manager here as well as leadership at Renken for her to get proper training. Lucky for me my job is to find people online that may not be listed so shouldn't be hard to get in touch with Dr. Renken himself even though he is in another state. It appears this is a known issue as well if you look at other reviews. Luckily I do not bunch all Renkens together and feel bad for the dentist and non billing staff because they were nice. True they should have stated they were all separate PRIOR TO THE APT as I would have never gone to this location. So I will be addressing that as well as it is very confusing.

Dr. Abbasiyan was incredibly patient, understanding, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain the options available to make everything easier and less stressful for me. The procedure was done under IV sedation, and it ended up being an extremely easy appointment with a much smoother recovery than I expected. What truly stood out was the doctor's calm and compassionate approach, which made it easy to trust him. I highly recommend this office to anyone who feels uneasy or overwhelmed at dental appointments.

Rescheduled visit was ok but when crown came in and that appointment was scheduled I was told our appointment was scheduled with the wrong doctor so it had to be canceled and rescheduled with the correct doctor but that couldn't happen until after school starts. The whole purpose in dealing with this in the summer is to avoid missing school. I don't know if this is a management issue or a training issue but it is unacceptable. We were planning on using this practice for orthodontic treatment but I'm not wanting to deal with repeated scheduling issues for long term treatment when we've had these issues to start care.

From the front staff Christy an Kaycee made things smooth sailing while always communicating and keeping me up-to-date on my appointment and committing to call me as a reminder and just all around being friendly and kind from the moment, you walk in the door. Unlike some places where the front staff is pissy and rude and just makes you feel like you're in an awkward place and being judged. The communication with the doctors is on point and they always get back to you immediately if there's a question or concern. Once you are called back into the back rooms and start your procedure I will admit that Dr. Ho and Dr. Brian are the best and most accommodating doctors that I've ever been to in the Dental world. Not only are they relatable and communicative, but they're kind and caring with concern not just about the dollar but about your smile. When it comes down to it, I have never once felt out of place or in judgment or seen for less than because my smile was not the best and brightest. Over the years that has NEVER changed as these amazing doctors have taken the time and consideration to do what's in my best interest for my teeth for today and in the future. I love the opportunity to just engage with them and has a human interaction other than a superior over myself. Never have they made me feel less than as a person just because I'm not as educated as they are. It is already hard enough to find good medical/dental providers that are honest and practice their craft safely. I agree the checkin process is quick and easy, you can fill out new patient forms online. My X-rays and services needed were explained during my first visit. I signed two treatment plans for me and my daughter and scheduled follow up appointments to start getting our dental work completed. However today when I arrived at the office and paid about $350 it was not for what I was originally quoted. $204 was supposed to be for a cleaning and two upper fillings on my left and right. I was told I was only scheduled for one so I was very much confused about what I had just paid for. I had to show the treatment plan I signed and was told that is not what is in my chart. Okay thank you for reviewing the information. After having mine and my daughter's work done I am then told our prices have changed because they were using an outdated fee schedule....which I was asked to sign the new ones. These were not small price adjustments like $20/$30 the quotes were off by $70-$150. That doesn't make any sense that you cannot even provide me the correct quote so how do I even trust that this "new" fee schedule is correct. I have never had this happen. If anything I'm usually paying over and ending up with a credit. It would have been better to show me the different fee schedules and how my treatment plans were calculated wrong versus showing me to different plans with very different amounts. If you go here I would definitely have them double check your quotes and billing.
