Yet again, I am blown away. I've written a review here before explaining how Wil (IDB) took over work on my truck correcting issues caused by an incompetent mechanic shop who had replaced my engine and transmission. Everything he's done for me, I haven't had to worry about again. Peace of mind is PRICELESS! Last week my oil pressure bottomed out and I FREAKED! I don't have the money to replace an oil pump (very expensive labor on my old 4WD pickup) or an engine right now! I hit Wil up and told him the situation. Last time, he sent someone with a trailer to pick my truck up in Lufkin and didn't even charge me for the transport. This time, he looked up and worked out the problem with me. He explained to me in explicit detail (necessary for a mechanically handicapped fool like myself) what to do and how to do it to save myself some money. He gave me information that I would never have found on my own, and loaned me confidence (with instructions and repeatedly reassuring me that it's a really simple process) to diagnose the problem on my own. We have determined that my oil pump is fine, and it's my instrument cluster that's defective. This means I can get around and back to work until I can afford to replace my instruments. I can't say enough about this guy. I'm not sure why he's been so good to me. He didn't make any money at all off of this, which he might not want me advertising, but he saved my ass, and he saved me HUNDREDS of dollars I don't have by keeping me out of these local shops that would have probably replaced the pump right off the bat and not fixed anything. I am immeasurably grateful, and as I've said before, Wil Kitchens is my mechanic for life. I trust him, and that's worth more than money to me. read more

Took my truck over to Wil & crew at IDB after it about left my wife stranded one evening, it had a huge loss of power and was running like is wasn't firing on all cylinders. After a couple hrs of diagnosing come to find out the pcm was bad due to water somehow getting into the distribution block.. at that point I when Wil told me that all I heard was $$$$ but low and behold Wil remembered that the pcm falls under the emissions warranty which is 8yr 80k and my 06 ranger just qualified! The guys at IDB took the truck to the dealer and worked with them to ensure the truck was repaired under warranty! I have known Wil for some time and he has always been a honest stand up guy that won't beat around the bush and after this my vehicles won't go anywhere but to IDB. I bought my E55 a couple of years ago after performing a pre-purchase inspection in a another city. Searched for a while to find a local shop that could complete repairs found in the report that I could depend on. Called a lot of "Euro" shops and felt that they knew as much as the "book" told them about repair info and pricing. Came across IDB and went in to chat and check it out. Wil was very knowledgeable about my model after chatting so I started with replacing worn suspension pieces. He advised to address other parts not originally asked for replacement while he was in there to save labor costs in the future-a good suggestion. Since then he has been my go to guy for the 55 doing all the scheduled maintenance and bringing her up to OEM standards. I've had nothing but great experiences with Wil and IDB. I've had a recent issue with a subframe bushing on my M5 that was installed last October. Wil ordered replacement parts and stayed late once the parts were delivered in order to get the car back to me the following day. The customer service at IDB is always top notch. I think some people don't have the money to repair and maintain the very expensive European cars that they were able to buy cheap somewhere. Their lack of funds and trying to do only part of the repair is probably why they have continued problems with things. European cars and exotics were expensive cars new and continue to have the repair costs of rare and expensive cars. If you want to play you have to be prepared to pay! read more

The Audi has offered me nothing but issue after issue and I feel EXTREMELY fortunate to have found Wil to help me out. Wil was really helpful in getting me squared away on an aftermarket radiator I had bought for my E39 BMW from Zionsville that fit awful. I needed him to re fabricate it so the mounting tabs were located in the correct positions and it would clear the factory fan properly. He also replaced missing parts that should have been included with it while also removing and welded closed a universal fitting on the unit to further clean it up. You can't ask for any better and he really made a poor situation I felt stuck in, a $730 "custom made" radiator that didn't fit, a lot easier to swallow. read more

I've been a customer at IDB for about a year now, and in that time I've had them perform several assorted repairs and upgrades on my vehicles. I have never before encountered service and communication to compare with what I receive at this place. IDB is one of those shops where they actually care. There are so many fly by night rip off operations out there these days its hard to get a damn oil change with out getting bent over. These guys are artisans at their craft and will go out of there way to make sure things are done right. I won't take my cars anywhere else period. I must say these guys! Are the best at what they do! I Brought my car here because my airmatic suspension went out. I have a E63 AMG went to the dealership they told me some out rageous! Took in my wife's acura for a complete engine overhaul , timing belt, plugs, wires, ext. They did a fresh breaker job and a new spindle. The car runs so much better and they even detailed my wife's car too. Wouldn't take a vehicle anywhere else. read more
